They gave me about three drops of bleu cheese, which is a shame because those three drops were perfect. Feels borderline cruel to nail it that hard and then hand it out like medicine in a shortage. I went in the middle of the day, which probably explains why the place was crawling with kids. That one's on me, but still -- the "line" looked more like a huddle of middle schoolers planning a coup. Loud, messy, impossible to navigate. Service, though, was on point. The guy running the counter was friendly, fast, and clearly just as over the kid chaos as I was. Couldn't blame him. Ordered delivery and had an overall ok experience. The menu was extensive - lots of pastas to choose from - so we were both able to find things we wanted. My personal favorite dish is ziti with broccoli and garlic sauce, and Toscano's version was fine. The pasta was overdone so it more fell apart instead of actually being anywhere close to al dente (I couldn't even stab it with my fork it fell apart so easily), but the overall flavor was fine. I was disappointed because I paid extra for chicken in my pasta and they forgot to include it. The other pasta dish (ziti with meatballs and marinara) was also one note; we finished about half of it and ended up throwing the rest away since that pasta was well overcooked also. Meat lover's pizza was good. Crust tasted very "doughy" and fresh. Pizza was a little too oily, but the meat and cheese really hit the spot. As for delivery overall, I was disappointed by their health standards. I received the pizza box without a bag (a minor annoyance), but even worse, my receipt was left on top of the pizza. I don't usually go for Italian but I've had Carbonara on the brain for a couple of weeks. I got a really special dish a few years ago at a place that's gone out of business and I wanted to see if I could find a similar dish so I've been searching menus and Toscano's sounded very close to what I wanted. I placed the order online and had no issues. They even called me when it was ready and all I had to do was go inside the door and pick it up. Price-wise it was pretty good compared to other places in the area. I found it very heavy though. Like the sauce was so rich and the fettucine was piled high and very dense. Pretty overcooked on the top so it wasn't as fresh as I would have liked. This one had a lot of bacon which added to the heaviness. It took us several tries to actually finish the entire meal (it was huge) and I think it wasn't close enough to what I remembered. The bread that came with it was excellent - warm and with a dipping sauce. I think if you're looking for a big portion that's not super expensive, and that is very rich, this is the place for you. read more

First time going here (we had gotten a mailer). Had never noticed it in the decades I have apparently been driving by. Beyond confused by the pricing because none of it matches - there is no discount for first time customers just not free like they use for GrubHub. The pros were very nice staff and an excellent Greek salad with chicken that was shared and a decent wrap. The con was a Fra Diavlo dish with NO spice at all to it. It was fine once we added spice at home but the definition of this pasta is "spicy sauce" but it tastes like a pasta with marinara and vegetables (we added sausage so our total was higher than our order bc there was no option to add sausage). Two dollars- not a big deal. It just was not spicy and that's why we chose it (we had been looking at the Caliente pizza). The only other downside is the place is so tiny that I walked in to pick up our takeout and it was literally swarming with high school students. Not a really conducive environment to where I would typically go. Their pizza in fairness looked very good but it was not great and I have teenagers but not boys to see the restaurant with only teens in it but me and the staff. Overall good food and I hope to try it again soon. No extra fees- I would order directly w them. Nice little but very small and not the right size to meet the "take out for family dinner" demographic. read more

My dad just went here for the first time, (we heard they have thin crust pizza..which we love, & usually go to Otto's Pizza...decided to try it out) he got 2 pizzas, one Lg bbq chicken & one Sm pepperoni pizza. Some of the best gluten free pizza I've had!! It's medium-thick crust, very flavorful. Holds up well (they tend to be generous with toppings and cheese). And it is fully baked through!! (I've had too many under-baked g.f. crusts experiences). It's good as reheated or cold leftovers too. I've been told the gluten-full pizza is good too. Just wish their fries were crispier! Have yet to try their gluten free pasta. I tend to order online via their website, they come quickly, get the order right, and are always polite. Thank you for offering gluten free! Toscanos pizzeria is a take out place in Winchester MA. It is the go to take out for my friends that live in Medford MA. Every time I visit my friends down here we get food from Toscanos! It is always excellent! We always order a few appetizers and Pizza. The pizza is Italian style, thin crust. It is Excellent! Perfect amount of cheese to sauce and the sauce has a great taste! Onion rings are good:) Jalapeño poppers are filled with cream cheese and are not spicy but very good. They have Broccoli cheese puffs which is deep fried Broccoli and cheddar cheese. Served with marinara . New to me but very good! The customer service is always great and the delivery is quick! Food is always hot! I would definitely recommend Toscanos! read more

Where can I start? These guys here are pro's and the pride in their craft is evident in all the dishes they prepare. Everyhing here is very tasty, very fresh and they serve great portions, a great value! They have an excellent and prompt delivery service and most importantly the food is delicious! I am an excellent cook in my own right and I am here to tell you their pasta Bolognese was outstanding nothing like you'd expect to find in a pizzeria and their in house meatballs are tender and not overbearing. It is hard these days to find a place that has real veal instead of those horrible chopped frozen breaded patties. Toscano's has real veal. I got a veal cutlet sub with just sauce, no cheese so I could savor the veal without all that cheese. What a disappointment! It was thick, tough, chunks of veal, not at all easy to bite through in the sub. Look, I get that veal can be tough, but you need to pound it to flatten it to a tender cutlet that is easy to cut through and eat. Missing that step of pounding the veal is crucial. What should have been a tasty, delicious, old school veal cutlet sub turned into a chew fest with the veal constantly pulling out of the sub roll because my teeth were not going through it. On Monday, I was craving some good chicken parm for lunch. I work in Winchester, so I decided to walk to Toscano's. I was so happy I did. They crammed the takeout container with pasta, sauce, and the hugest piece of juicy chicken topped with cheese. They also gave me 2 of their delicious rolls! This all enabled me to have lunch Monday AND Tuesday! What a value! Also, strangely enough, it made me so happy that the wrapped the whole container with plastic wrap even though it was firmly covered. This made me happy because sometimes the condensation/juices and get all over the bag, and that will not do as it was a paper bag and I walked back to my work to eat. So I was pleasantly surprised that the bag stayed nice and dry and I didn't have to pick my lunch off the ground. I LOVE this place and HIGHLY recommend it! read more

This was such a huge disappointment. We used to order here more frequently and had great experiences but tonight was terrible. We ordered delivery (which did arrive in the time they told us) but was missing the salad part of my chicken kabob salad. We immediately called and told them that it was missing the salad. They said it would be right on the way. It took 40 minutes to get the salad. I was more upset that they assured us the salad was on the way and that they were sending it over without the driver stopping anywhere else when this clearly was not the case. The food was also a disappointment and clearly was very different from previous experiences. The chicken for the chicken kabob was not the usual flavorful, juicy chicken but rubbery pieces of chicken that seemed artificial. The chicken fingers seemed to be the same chicken also used for chicken cutlet...? So they weren't crunchy but rather large, soggy pieces of breaded chicken. It was bizarre. The other sandwiches we got were fine but nothing to write home about. After the experience today, we will definitely not be ordering from here again. It must have changed ownership or something because this was a nightmare experience for a variety of reasons. I do want to point out, though, that the delivery driver was very sweet throughout this experience and very apologetic about the salad and everything else. The only positive experience we had here today seemed to be with the delivery driver himself. read more

It was so GOOD, nice and hot, so full of flavor, and just right! That's when I found out that they also do catering. So for my mom's birthday party, I decided to let them do all the cooking for me, and it was the best decision i could have made. I ordered a few pasta trays and i couldn't forget to order some of the AMAZINGLY hot and DECLIOUS homemade rolls, they were so good, everyone at the party loved them. I order Chicken, Brocolli, Ziti Alfredo & Chicken Marsala. Everyone wanted the reciped, it broke my heart to tell them that I wasn't the one that made them. :) :) I don't even need to cook anymore, they are my new kitchen, with less of a mess at the end. :) read more

After reading reviews, I decided to give this place a try and so glad I did. I ordered the Alfredo with broccoli and got it with scallops as opposed to the usual chicken. Wow was this dish amazing. It was creamy, seasoned perfect, and the scallops were cooked to perfection. My bf ordered the chicken parmesan with baked pasta and it was really good too. I also ordered the jalapeño poppers, it was good but nothing unique. It's what you would expect them to be. I was amazed at how hot the food was when it arrived and how generous the portions were too. This place will soon be a regular place to us now. I would definitely recommend you try it. read more

Last week, pizza burnt over cooked ,,crust was tough Tonight chick ziti broccoli was thick , tasted like flour was coating everything so salty and pasta was so overcooked it was mush..I called to ask if there was new owners and I was told a new cook. I've ordered delivery from them roughly 4-5 times. I really have no complaints. The pizza is the way to go, especially the buffalo chicken ranch, which isn't on the main menu. You won't be disappointed if you order that. The pasta's are pretty generic, not bad mind you, just don't expect a $40 North End plate of pasta. If you are expecting that, then you have unrealistic expectations. The sides are typical pizza joint sides. The spicy fries are great, and it's nice they coat the bottom of the bag with overflow fries as well. Everyone likes that am I right?
