Tasty palace? More like get screamed at by employee palace. I ordered Chicken Teriyaki for take out add onions. Simple enough. He read back the order and everything was good to go. When I arrived at the restaurant a lady handed me mongolian beef. I explained to her I didnt order this and she proceeded to scream at me. I tried to calm her down, saying its fine, I will wait for the chicken teriyaki with onions, and she said it was impossible to add to the dish. When I tried to reason with her and explained she added it to the mongolian beef so it shouldn't be a problem and Id pay whatever for the upcharge she screamed at me again. It was decent, just wished I didnt get screamed at for trying to get what I ordered, or got my onions on my foos. I suppose if you order to go just don't add anything? Good lord. Everything just taste like salt and has no individual flavor. The wonton soup has dried up meat in it that is hardly chewable.

Family member was sick on Christmas day so I was looking for somewhere that was open for dinner and I had heard good things from others about Tasty Palace. However the online ordering system they use did not give an accurate time, I drove over there within the 20 minute window the online ordering gave and was informed when I arrived that it would be over an hour till the food was ready. Ok. After careful deliberation, my gut instincts said to just try. A lot of the poor customer service reviews I read turned me off. Good thing I stuck with my gut. First off, don't listen to the bad customer service reviews. My experience was awesome. The waiter was nice and the cook who brought out the food was courteous as well. Placed order and not even 7 minutes later our table was full with very aromatic food. I'm always cautious when eating at an Asian establishment the first time. Ordered my basic usual: wor won ton, beef and brocolli, and bbq pork fried rice. WOW! I'm pretty impressed. Where to begin! I go to this place so often I wouldn't be surprised if they recognized my face! All of their food is so fresh and delicious. The prices are great and they have very large portions for the dinner combination plates. Their fried rice is so flavorful!!!! I also really love the smoothies and the mango one is my favorite. I've had experiences with hair in the past at some places and it's not that big of a deal. It's hair, sometimes it falls out, these things happen. I definitely draw the line at things that can chip my teeth and cut up my insides. It looks small but it was definitely sharp enough to cut through flesh if you wanted to. I've tried many different Chinese food restaurants and Tasty Palace has the best Wor Won Ton soup ever. If you order take out they separate the broth from all the ingredients so it's fresh when you get home. And it's so good. They hook you up with all kinds of stuff and it's all so fresh and delicious. The food is great BUT customer service sucks! The lady who's taking the order is horrible and rude! She made a mistake to our orders because she wasn't paying attention and doesn't speak English well. No manners and no professionalism. If she is the owner, this business is not going to last long if she stays in the restaurant. My wife and I just moved near the Antelope/Roseville border part of Sacramento and needed to find a new Chinese food restaurant. We have ordered from Tasty Palace three times in total but the first time was when we were unpacking so we used Door Dash. When our food arrived it was piping hot which was a plus! It was delicious! Now, last week we drove to Tasty Palace and ordered takeout. The restaurant is large and clean. The staff was very friendly and we quickly figured out by the amount of foot traffic on a Wednesday night that Tasty Palace is a local favorite. We did not have to wait long for our food. The food was delicious! Tasty Palace packs their containers to the brim which is great! You're definitely getting what you pay for as far as portion size and quality. Going to try to keep this short and sweet. Located in what used to be Hollywood videos a while back. Located between walmart and she'll, which by the way it think is a cool location, considering I go to that walmart all the time, and now I could just go to get food from them. The place is split into 3 sections. First being the actual tasty palace restaurant, and the following 2 for future businesses. The place looks great, the decor is very clean and crisp. Seating includes booths and tables. Staff is very friendly. The wait time for food isn't long standard 15 minutes. Now to the food. I ordered 2 lunch specials. 1 salt and pepper pork/ fried rice 1 General chicken / chow mein. My mom and I sorta shared and tried eat others. She enjoyed it and usually isn't a huge fan of Chinese food but she did enjoy this one. As for me the fired rice was okay, pretty decent, the chow mein I could do with out, wish it had a little more veggies. As for the salt and pepper pork. I really liked it, it was not excessively oily like other Chinese restaurant places. And the general chicken was okay. Not bad but not over the top good either. However, what I did eat still makes me want to come back and try more from their menu. Anyways will be coming back to try more dishes. As others have stated, the first thing that you notice about this restaurant is that this place is surprisingly well decorated for this area. The set up is kind of like a lounge with booths on the outside, a bar area at the back of the restaurant and a large middle area filled with tables and seats. The decor is really modern. We ordered two combination plates, one with honey walnut shrimp, which was tasty, with the shrimp being nice and crunchy as it should be while not overly battered. The dressing was nice, not too much mayonnaise, but plenty of honey flavor. The other dish we ordered was the general chicken combo, the general chicken was really good as well, not quite spicy enough for my tastes, if you order it, I would recommend asking for it extra spicy, since, if you're ordering General chicken, it should be safe to assume you like spicy food. My daughter ordered the chicken fried rice. Very good, plenty of pieces of chicken and not too greasy and not too much reliance on soy sauce for flavoring. It was green tea and you could taste the honey. My husband was super annoying about the way he ordered his food but they were polite and nice about everything. I drove past this place often and thought to myself, "How could I ever eat there without getting depressed from the nostalgia of Hollywood Video?" Now that I've finally tried it, it's totally worthy of this space! I honestly hope business stays strong for them because I'll be bringing more family here for sure. I was impressed as soon as I walked through the doors. Seriously, it's not what you would expect around here. You'll see, even the bathroom makes you gasp. The service was perfect, almost too perfect because they probably checked on us every five minutes. The menu had me stuck because I couldn't decide which one to get. We shared the Hong Kong special and general chicken over rice lunch special. They were, indeed, quite special. I come here about once a month with my family when I'm in the Antelope area. We love it here because it is sparkly clean inside, even in the restrooms, and the food has been delicious every time so far. We usually get a pot of Hot and Sour Soup to share. The bowl is huge and even after 5 people have had their fill there is always enough to take leftovers home. It is by far one of the tastiest hot and sour soups we've eaten. Other items we've ordered included Shanghai Noodles with shrimps, Salt and Pepper Chicken, Honey Walnut Shrimp, Orange Chicken, Kung Pao Chicken. The portions here are huge and we always take doggie bags home. So far we've not had a dish that we didn't like but the Shanghai Noodles and the Salt and Pepper Chicken are by far my favorite! The service has always been friendly and this place is nice and comfy which always makes us want to sit and talk for a while after our meal.
