Me and my friend came in on a Friday evening searching for a hotpot place. We came and landed on a place called tasty. I got the Thai curry hot pot which is filled with all types of amazing seafood it was the most fresh seafood i have every had. They also sell an amazing selection of boba teas. The services was amazing it was so busy but they still found a way to get our food out in amazing timing. There staff is well rounded and very friendly it was like they were your friends. This place looked unique so I had to try it. I'm not a big seafood fan so the soups weren't really up my alley so I got the sizzling curry skillet with udon noodles. The chicken was great as were the udon noodles. I asked for mild and the noodles had some good bite to them. I didn't love the curry sauce on them so I wouldn't get the curry again but I really liked the skillet overall and the udon. My kid got the curry hot pot soup and enjoyed it. My hubby got the seafood hot pot soup with instant noodles added on, he liked it but said he wouldn't get it next time largely because it's annoying to dig seafood out of shells. We all got boba drinks and really enjoyed them; rose matcha, wintermelon and something with coffee. The ambiance was good, modern and clean. The service was bumpy, the first 15 mins I think they forgot we were there so I had to get up and ask for service, after that though they were all over us and were very nice. We were immediately greeted with smiles and got seated. The staff was super nice, helpful and very attentive. We ended up ordering the beef hot pot medium spicy with a lychee lemonade and a strawberry green tea with lychee jelly with adjusted sweetness. The drinks came out quickly and not too sweet which was perfect (very picky about my drinks). The hot pot came out delicious, really good broth. I appreciate how they do explain how hot pot works and their little sauce system for people who have never tried it before. I also loved the music they played, such a vibe. Such a great place to stop for some warm comforting hotpot. There are a lot of options to choose from as your base, which then come preselected with the different meats and veggies for your hotpot. There is no skimping here and if you on the off chance leave here hungry, hats off to you because I tried my hardest and couldn't finish it. My daughter and I both got the kimchi hotpot and it was to die for. We started with mild, because I never know what one's definition for hot from place to place is. But! I think next time I'd go medium or even hot. Some heat would have set it over the edge, my fault for playing it safe. Either way though, it was divine. We got it with rice instead of noodles which is my favorite way to enjoy hotpot. They also have a selection of sauces at the table you can mix up to enjoy your meats and veggies from the hot pot in. All in all, we left so happy, at no point was anything left unclear, and we had an absolutely wonderful time here. Came here twice since they opened last year or so. It's a hotpot that has everything a traditional hotpot place has but already made for you in a big piping hot pot. The flavors are delicious. I got the lobster pot and my family of five each got something different. It's huge and will fill you up but you don't get a variety like traditional hot pot places but the soup flavors taste better. They offer rice or noodles on the side. I would go back but it not a place I would think of when I want to have date night. You leave smelling like food. (But in all honesty, hot pot is good in any weather, but better in the cold ha) Tasty Pot is a non-AYCE hot pot and tbh, I probably prefer it like this now- sometimes when there's too many meats or veggies it can get cumbersome to manage. The service was fast and attentive. The food arrived shortly after we ordered. The twist here is that they have already carefully curated the meats and veggies that go into each one so you don't have to cook the ingredients yourself like in traditional hotpot. If you want additional meat or toppings you can also request it separately. We ordered the Lamb and the Taiwanese supreme spicy (perfect for you spicy lovers). There's a little lever to control the fire which was awesome because by the time I was done eating the soup it was still pretty hot. Before I get too carried away, I should mention a couple things that make Tasty Pot a bit different from other hotpot establishments you might be acquainted with (local and otherwise). Although this is a chain with multiple branches in the United States and Canada, each one offers slightly different menu selections (both food- and beverage-wise). Unlike, say, Aki Asian or Yummy Hot Pot (where you choose your broth type and everything you want to put in it separately), here the offerings are pre-set in terms of ingredients (although you can of course always add more on the side). Most importantly, the sauce bars you're probably used to elsewhere are replaced at Tasty Pot by a set of condiments (generally variations on Jiang You (soy sauce), La You (chili oil) and Sha Cha Jiang (dried seafood/garlic sauce) brought to each individual table. But otherwise, you'll find that the whole experience feels quite familiar. So let's peek at some of TP-Aurora's mesmerizing menu and see what looks especially good. Wow this place was great. The flavors were so good and the portions were huge. I loved how the soup stayed the perfect temperature throughout the entire time we ate. We added some extras on the side but they were not needed because you get so much food in the standard orders. I can't wait to go back and keep trying the other flavors they have.
