I've been meaning to write this review since July 2021--at least, that's how old my first set of photos is from when I intended to post a review. But years later, Tasty Pot at Ulferts Center is still one of our reliable go-to spots in Dublin. My wife usually orders the Beef Hot Soup, while I go for the Taiwanese Supreme Spicy Hot Soup - both with a side of rice and either black or green tea during lunchtime. Both pots are consistently delicious, satisfying, and served steaming hot - the kind of hot that clears your sinuses and makes your nose run. For reference, we order them at the "medium" spice level, so either we're weak sauce or they really are that hot and spicy. I especially like that Tasty Pot's meals are complete individual servings. You get the full hot-pot experience without having to fetch ingredients, wait for a communal pot to cook, or coordinate a family-style meal. It's easy, convenient, and perfect when everyone just wants to dig into their own bowl. Service has always been fast, and the food comes out piping hot and ready to enjoy. The wait staff also checks in to see whether you are running low on soup and need a top-off. They also have a rewards program that earns you points toward a free hot pot; it has changed over the last couple of years from a "buy seven, get one free" setup to a points-based system - either way, it's a nice bonus. My sister recommended Tasty Pot because she said it was well known for its soup and good service, so we decided to give this location a try. Unfortunately, our experience at the Dublin location was extremely disappointing. We visited on August 8, 2026, at around 8:45 PM. We are a family of 9 and were just passing through the area on our way to our hotel. Since the restaurant's website states that the closing time is 9:30 PM, we thought we had enough time to have dinner, especially since this was our first time visiting. As soon as we arrived, however, we were told by the server that 8:45 PM was the last call for orders. We immediately tried to order as quickly as possible using the online ordering system because we did not want to inconvenience the staff. After placing our order, we were then told that green tea and other teas were unavailable, so all of our drink orders were canceled except for water. We understood that items can sometimes run out, so we let that go. The biggest problem was the service and atmosphere after we received our food. It was very difficult to get the attention of the staff because everyone seemed to be rushing around cleaning. We genuinely felt like we were a burden simply because we were still eating. What was especially inappropriate was that while customers were still dining, the staff began putting chairs up on the tables. I even took a picture because I believe management should be aware of what was happening. If the restaurant is still open and customers are still eating, this is not the kind of atmosphere customers should be subjected to. Even worse, it appeared that the AC was turned off while we were still eating, even though it was not yet closing time. With hot pot already being a very warm meal, we were literally sweating while trying to eat. After a long day of traveling, the last thing we wanted was to feel rushed and uncomfortable during dinner. We tried not to make a big issue out of it because we were tired and simply wanted to finish our meal and get to our hotel. But honestly, this type of service is unacceptable. I don't know if this is how every Tasty Pot location operates, but if this is specific to this branch, management really needs to address it and properly train the staff on how to treat customers who are still dining during business hours. Unfortunately, this was our first experience with Tasty Pot, and it will most likely be our last. We were hoping to enjoy the food and understand why my sister recommended it, but the poor service and uncomfortable atmosphere completely ruined the experience. With hot pot, the food is already hot enough. There's no need for the customers to leave with a boiling-hot temper because of the service. Very disappointing, and definitely not a place I would recommend based on this experience. read more

Popcorn chicken came out after the soups. It wasn't as good as tapioca express or i-tea The sizzling beef udon and lamb soup was decent. The seafood flavor was really grainy like they didn't fully wash the mussels / clams or something. This used to be my go to individual hotpot place but my most recent experience was less that ideal. It is impossible to get the attention of the waitstaff to get simple things like sauce containers or napkins. The waitress brought over noodles when we ordered rice and then proceeded to argue with you that you are wrong. Flagging down waitress for water is like a game of avoiding eye contact. I don't know when the service went to hell. The pots were less flavorful than before. I think they used to put clams in the pots but now it's more filler and the sauces were extra runny this round. This is still a very economical lunch considering the cost of things these days, but I wish it was as good as it used to be! read more

Tasty Pot always hits the spot. They have many different soup options available. My friend and I ordered 2 different soups. It comes with varieties of meat, seafood, veggies, and clear noodles. They are both delicious. Be sure to use their bean paste and chili sauce to add a little extra spice for dipping your meat and veggies in. The food here is definitely on point! I love that you order through a tablet -- super easy -- and the sauces are already conveniently set at each table, so you don't have to get up. My only complaint is the service. The servers weren't very attentive when it came to refilling sauces or my water. Even getting extra napkins or the check took more effort than it should have. That said, the flavors and quality of the food make it worth coming back. If they could step up the attentiveness a bit, this would easily be a 5-star spot for me. read more

Have not been here for about 1 to 2 months. Still tasted as good as before. I especially like that in a hot pot place, there is a choice of sizzling plate and it is pretty good! The servers were very friendly and efficient. I spilled water all over the floor and the lady was very patient and quick to come to wipe the table and floor: special star for this! Parking may be hit or miss here, especially on weeknights and weekends, and it may be nearly impossible to get a spot without circling multiple times. They always seem to be busy and understaffed when I stop by, so there may be a wait to be seated, to order, and to get any help. I usually either get the Beef or Japanese Miso Hot Soup. The beef one has been my go to and favorite lately. If you dine in for lunch, a cold tea is included - I usually get the green tea. They haven't skimped on quality, and it's still a great deal with the lunch special that includes a drink. That comforting feeling of having your own little bubbling pot of goodness hasn't gone anywhere. Service has stayed consistently friendly and efficient. Went to Tasty Pot with my partner for some tasty food. We have been a couple times before and it has been great every time. The restaurant is in the olferts center in Dublin with many other Asian businesses and ample parking. We came around dinner time on a weekday and there were a few people dining in with many open tables. We each got the beef rice hot plate and udon hot plate. They came out steaming where you have to mix them around to get the meat fully cooked. We ate all of our food, both were really good. We also got the spicy popcorn chicken. Very tasteful For drinks we got the black tea and Hokkaido milk tea with boba. At this location they let you order through an ipad, which is nice if you don't want to talk to the staff. We ordered the Beef flavored hot pot medium spicy and very spicy and popcorn chicken. Our food came out hot which I love. It was our first time getting the popcorn chicken and it was pretty solid. I also loved that in the hotpot there were huge slices of taro. Definitely a great alternative if you're not looking to do all-you-can-eat hot pot. Unfortunately, the service really drags down the experience. The first time we came, I asked a simple question about the spice level on the Sichuan soup (since the menu lists spice levels for every other soup but that one). I just wanted something in between mild and very spicy, but when I asked, the staff member I spoke with acted like it was the most ridiculous question he'd ever heard. His tone was dismissive, bordering on rude. I didn't think much of it until we came back again--and it was the same guy, with the same attitude. If it weren't for the food, I honestly wouldn't return. The soups are delicious and well worth trying, but the customer service has been consistently poor. Tasty pot specializes in personalized hot pots at around $20 per pot. We came on a weekday at 5pm and were the first customers to be seated. We were given a iPad to order. My husband and I got the herbal pot as well as the beef sizzling udon. The sauce for the sizzling beef was very flavorful and my husband really enjoyed the dish. We also shared the herbal pot. While it was a personal hot pot, it really was quite a lot of food for one person and was great to share. The service was minimal, but the food came out super quickly. Tasty pot has been one of my family's long time favorites in Dublin. We like the many selections of hot pots they offer and a free green or black tea comes with each order of hot pot. Today we order the cheesy milk pot and the Taiwanese stinky tofu pot. Food is delicious as usual. The ingredients in each hot pot are generally high quality and fresh, and the soup base flavorful. The prices are very reasonable for the quality and quantity of food. You can further customize your hot pot by adding instant noodles, vermicelli, or additional raw egg, meat or vegetables. The portions are generous so we usually don't order appetizers but they do have a good selection of yummy appetizers as well. Service was efficient as our server check with us to see if we need more water for our broths or to adjust or turn off the flame. Drinks (hot or cold tea) are included with the hot pots. I feel like I am here at least once a month! Always get my usual Curry hot pot (medium spicy but will switch up to very spicy). The veggies, beef and the variety of seafood balls give it a perfectly balanced soup! The curry hot pot doesn't taste much like curry but the flavor is great - it's savory, salty and spicy! Beef hot soup brings a comforting feeling that warms your heart especially in the cold season. Broth is rich, has vegtables, fishcakes, choice of rice/vermicelli. There are free soup refills as well. There are sauces on the side to dip in your meat. Popcorn chicken is nicely seasoned (on the saltier side but I enjoyed that) and crispy. You can smell the basil and the coating isn't too thick. My friends and I stopped by Tasty Pot for dinner before watching a movie nearby at Regal Hacienda Crossings and at 5:30 p.m. on a Friday evening, we just narrowly beat the dinner rush. At about 6:00 p.m. or so, there was a line out the door for a table. Ordering is very efficient, as its all done on an iPad that's handed directly to you when you sit down. After placing our orders on the iPad, it was no more than 10 minutes or so before our hot pots were ready. I ordered the curry hot pot without any additions and like my visits to other Tasty Pot locations, the curry hot pot was extremely satisfying: the broth is flavorful without being too oily, there's generous amounts of vegetables and meats in the hotpot, and with the included bowl of rice (or vermicelli noodles if you prefer), even diners with a big appetite will be satisfied. Throughout our meal, we had multiple waiters stop asking us if we wanted to top off our broth and also offer us refills on our waters. Really attentive service at this location. Definitely would recommend this Tasty Pot location if you're craving hot pot. read more

The broth was rich and comforting, and everything tasted fresh. What really stood out was the service. The waitress was so kind and attentive.
