On a cold and rainy evening, my baby sister took me out to Tasty Pot for dinner. This was my first time having hot pot at a restaurant, so I can't compare it to any where else other than my personal experience of hot potting at home (which of course is different). We arrived about 15 minutes after they opened we got seated right away. However, I believe if we arrived another 10 minutes or so later, we would have had to wait. It was super packed inside! As soon as we got seated, a staff member asked if we were ready to order (good thing we were). My baby sister ordered the Taiwanese Hot Soup, while I ordered the Lamb Hot Soup. When our food came out, I was initially disappointed because portion size appeared to be on the smaller side. But of course, looks can be deceiving! Portion size was generous! It almost appeared as if the bowl was bottomless as I kept eating and eating and eating. My Lamb Hot Soup was very flavorful and full of all the ingredients listed from the menu. However, I did notice that there were a lot more veggies in my pot in comparison to the meat and seafood. Maybe it was just my pot that evening? On another note, I got to try my sister's Taiwanese Hot Soup and it was tasty, but heads up, it is a bit spicy! Tasty Pot is located right off the 880 and conveniently inside a plaza with plenty of parking. However, you may have some trouble parking in front, especially during the dinner rush and with a boba (i-Tea) place next door. The decor and ambiance is nice. I like the light fixtures and the city skyline located in the back of the restaurant. They also have a few TVs, so you won't miss the game! Extra brownie points for clean restrooms. Lastly, service was pretty good. Our food came out on time, and the servers kept checking up on us and asking if we wanted more soup and or water. Overall, the food was delicious and it definitely warmed us up! I had a great first time experience at Tasty Pot, but I would personally stick to hot potting at home. I am seriously addicted to Tasty Pot! I can't believe that I haven't written a review yet! I have been coming here for years and its my go to spot when we have out of town guests, and when I want to grab a quick dinner with my girls. I always order #1, Beef Hotpot Flaming spicy. I love coming here for lunch because its $1 cheaper than dinner (Used to be $2 Cheaper) ANNDDDDD you get a free iced tea. I always mix the chili oil, soybean paste and garlic soy sauce to dip everything in. Since I get Flaming spicy, its really nice I can ask for some plain soup on the side to mix with rice for my little guy to eat. Some hot pot places only gave me hot water for him pshhh. Remember to put your 5 stars account on the bottom of the receipt to earn free pots! read more

4th time the charm? I've made special trips to try Tasty Pot a few times, but have often found myself ending up at Venus Cafe instead, because the line here is too long for my taste. I want to try it, but not THAT badly - or I'm just impatient. With that said, I was quite impressed with Tasty Pot. Service is great, and the broth was yummy!! I got the lamb hot pot and I thought everything in there was yummy, and the portions were perfect- just enough to make me feel full and wanting to come back here again. The restaurant itself is very clean, but a tad small (hence the wait). Another one of my fav Taiwanese hot pot joints! Prices are affordable and portions are decently large. The wait can get long, but I recently found out you can put yourself on the waitlist via yelp so I recommend doing that before you arrive. The last time I came was on a Friday evening and i waited about 30 minutes for a table for 2. Taiwanese Supreme Spicy Hot Soup- this one wasn't as spicy as I remembered it in the past, but it's still pretty spicy so not for the faint of heart. Only get this one if you can handle your spicy. Although it's a bit spicier than my comfort level, I would still order this one again because it was just that good! Beef Hot Soup- A great option if you prefer a broth that is more mild than the Taiwanese spicy hot soup but still packed with tons of flavor. The quality of the beef is good too. Delicious! It's like getting a warm hug for your soul. My kid is home from college for a few days and I told her to pick where she wants to eat, so she picked this place. I usually don't care for hotpot and am trying to get over a cold, but this was really good and worth going out of the house for. We both got the #1, which had fatty beef slices, mushrooms, tomatoes, cabbage, corn, fish cake, etc. The broth was very filling and didn't leave a bad taste or greasy aftertaste. We got ours with vermicelli noodles. I got it in mild and it was the perfect amount of little kick for me. You can order it to go, but then you miss the experience, unless you have an electric hotpot to keep it burning hot. The tab, with tax and tip, was $36 for two people. It's pricey, but then so are other places. Did I mention this was delicious? I have been a long time customer. For the last few years I have mostly been doing take out. The portions are getting smaller and smaller every time. And there are so many missing items in the pots. There are a few times when I called, I had to remind them to make sure they have all the items. But they still always have missing items. For example today, I ordered 4 items, one of them is the herbal pot. This is no longer in the menu but they still offered it. The portion already looked smaller than all the other pots. There was no corn, no chicken wings, one quail egg instead of two. There are probably more missing items but since it is no longer on the menu, I can't check. It's my second time here, and I don't remember being offered free green / black tea during my first time! They're still awesome perks for the place though. Service is quick. I've been a loyal costumer of Boiling Point since 2012 (even had a membership discount card as they sponsored my student organization while in college) so imagine how I felt when Tasty Pot popped up in NorCal with almost the exact same menu as Boiling Point. It took me a few years but I finally decided to try Tasty Pot because of the awesome reviews I've been seeing. I am so glad I gave Tasty Pot a try because I might actually like it better than Boiling Point. Yes, the hot pots at Tasty Pot is a close replica of Boiling Point's but the biggest difference lies in how fresh Tasty Pot's ingredients taste. I am so used to Boiling Point's soggy ingredients, especially the cabbage, that I immediately noticed that the cabbage was actually crunchy at Tasty Pot. I'm sure Boiling Point's ingredients are fresh as well but I don't like when everything in the pot tastes like it has been cooking for a long time. Also, I was very excited about the satay sauce which a stable sauce in Taiwanese hot pot. Satay sauce tastes good with everything. So, which one is better: Boiling Point or Tasty Pot? Depends on how cooked you like your hot point ingredients! Other than that, almost everything is the same between the two. I've had boiling point before I've tried tasty pot and have chosen tasty pot over boiling point numerous times only because I found that both are quite identical. Tasty pot is just more convenient for me to go to since it's much closer to my home than boiling point is. Both places tend to have long waits times. I've usually just get the beef because the only other flavors I would want only come in a large size and that's just too much food for me. I love Tasty Pot! I enjoy it so much I came here 4 times within 2 months and that's saying something, since I'd much rather try a new place rather than repeatedly go to the same place. I've never had to wait more than 30 minutes to get a seat, but if you're with a big group, make reservations or have someone come earlier to put your name down. No one likes to be hangry! The menu is very straightforward. There are 12 individual pots you can choose from. During lunch time, #1-8 is $11.99 and #9-12 is $14.99 (with a complimentary drink). During dinner time, #1-8 is $12.99 and #9-12 is $15.99 (no drink). You also get to pick your spicy level: None, Mild, Medium, Very Spicy, or Flaming Spicy. Mild is perfect for me since I can't handle too much spicy. You also get a bowl of either rice or vermicelli noodles. There's already vermicelli in pots #1-8, so I usually pick rice. After ordering, you can start mixing your sauces: sweet chili paste, garlic soy sauce, and spicy chili oil. I love dipping everything in this sauce and pouring some over my rice as well. It's super tasty! Here are some of the pots I've tried: -Curry Flavor Hot Soup (#4): This one is my favorite! It's full of flavor and I love all the ingredients in it. -Kimchi Dumpling Hot Soup (#8): This one is my second favorite! -Beef Hot Soup (#1): This is the safe choice and most people's favorite. -Stinky Tofu Hot Soup (#5): My least favorite out of the four I've tried. I love how they aren't stingy with their ingredients. They give ~2-3 pieces of all the ingredients listed on the menu, whereas at Boiling Point, I feel like I'm just eating endless amounts of cabbage. The soup is not the most flavorful, but it's the bountiful ingredients that keep me coming back :) TIP: You can ask for more soup and they will refill it for you. If you're someone that can eat a whole lot, go for #8-12. If you need humongous portions, I would suggest all you can eat at Little Dipper or Little Sheep Mongolian Hot Pot (~$30 per person). Since I can't eat much, Tasty Pot is more worth it. Portions here are perfect for me. With a soup refill, I'm able to eat half of the contents of my pot, and take the rest for to-go. Service is pretty good. When it gets busy, you may need to make the extra effort to flag a server down. But overall, I have no complaints. I've been here two days in a row, three days in a row, four (?!) days in a row. I can't even make the excuse that it was over two weeks if it spanned across a Sunday because it didn't.. Either way, I figured it was definitely time to update my review, especially after having Boiling Point and Tasty Pot back to back (I know, I have a hot pot problem). Service has continued to be pleasant and kind, if a little disjointed still sometimes. One thing I really enjoy is the complimentary black or green tea served with lunch. I've tried both, and they taste like good quality teas with just the right amount of sweetness. The ability to choose between a bowl of rice (which is pretty filling) and vermicelli (when I'm not that hungry) is also a nice touch. Since my initial visit, I've tried other varieties of hot pot here, including the Beef, Thai, and Taiwanese Spicy. My favorites are probably the Beef and Thai, with Beef coming out to be my most-ordered by far. The ingredients in the Beef seem to be the most cohesive in my opinion, ranging from napa cabbage, vermicelli, fish cake, imitation crab meat, enoki mushrooms to taro, clams, tender beef slices, and tofu. The broth, which can be refilled, is not too salty and can be ranged from not spicy to flaming spicy. The Thai is a larger size and has a mild Tom Yum flavor, but mostly comes with seafood, including a nicely-cooked half-crab. It's a nice version to order if there are no time constraints, but the shrimp and crab do take some time to peel and eat. The dipping sauces on the side, which are self-serve, are also pretty tasty. The thicker chili sauce mixed with the flavored soy sauce is my go-to; there is also a version of chili oil which adds a bit of numbing spiciness, but the thick chili sauce is usually spicy enough for me. I'm not big on condiments, but my friend who is says that the sauces here trump those at Boiling Point by far. I personally just like the flavored broth more, not to mention the fact that the beef is fragrant and not overcooked. Writing this review is making me hungry, and my friend hypothesizes that there must be something in the soup to make us crave it incessantly.. Whatever it may be, I think I'm coming back here for lunch tomorrow. read more

I was rolling around Newark in my Whip Black Beauty and i spotted a grand Opening sign on the Tasty Pot . So I decided to stop and try it out . Tasty Pot is in a Large Strip Mall so there was plenty of parking . I rolled in and was Greeted and Seated and presented a Menu . Tasty Pot, you've won my taste buds by far. I don't really go out to eat hot pot much because I'd rather have homemade hot pot instead but when it comes down to it, Tasty Pot is definitely tasty. It trumps all the hot pot places I've been to so far. This place can get kinda busy depending when you go but if you go during dinner time then the wait can take up to about 30 minutes :( For about $12-$16 (depending which pot you get and whether you go during lunch or dinner), Tasty Pot offers 12 different soup flavors to satisfy your tummies. At Tasty Pot, you get your own individual hot pot to devour. No cooking required...just sit and enjoy your pot while the food cooks itself over a small fire that you can turn up, low, or off. I've been to Tasty Pot several times and every time I went I tried a different pot just to experience. Each pot gives a lot of meat and veggies (best part is that the veggies aren't as overwhelming as other places would give you). For each pot, you get the option of choosing a small bowl of rice or vermicelli noodles. I usually go for vermicelli noodles because I don't eat noodles often anyways :P Bowls #1-8 are a bit cheaper than bowls #9-12 just because they offer more items in the bowl/are a bit larger. You can also choose your level of spicy (none, mild, medium, very spicy, or flaming spicy). I tend to be quite sensitive to spiciness sometimes and when I don't know how spicy each restaurant makes it then I'm usually safe with going with the "mild". Also, you get to add more water for free to your pot if you want more soup :) So far, the soup flavors I have had were: *Beef Hot Soup *Lamb Hot Soup *Kimchi Dumpling Hot Soup *Japanese Miso Hot Soup Service here is sometimes good and sometimes bad. Tried this after hiking, and boy, 10/10 would do another hike and Tasty Pot right after. The closest one is Coyote Hills too ;) Service - fast and efficient. I admire their guns when they have to lift the pots of deliciousness to and from the tables. Food - only 12 main pots if I remember correctly, but boy was that a challenge to pick exactly what I wanted. Kimchi pot - lots of cabbage hiding on the bottom, seafood and dumplings, what more can you ask for? The soup broth was a little spicy with the Mild and it wasn't necessarily 'kimchi' but more of kimchi broth with cabbages. With the addition of new broth though, the kimchi flavor becomes diluted. I love how their lunch specials come with a drink as the iced green tea was refreshing to have with the spicy broth and outside heat. The first Tasty Pot I went to was actually in SJ before it became super hype and before Boiling Point in the Bay Area was a thing. I was really impressed, so fast forward to the present. This Tasty Pot used to be a Sprint store that my SO managed so I was really impressed by how they transformed the space and was able to add a kitchen and knock down all the walls. During lunch, it's not that busy after 1pm, the wait is anywhere from 5-10 minutes. Parking is a little dull since the plaza flourishes during the day time with customers heading to the bank. Don't park right in front where the vape shop is cause you might just get towed (as there are signed to point that out). We got a table by the window and got handed menus. Very simple one side is the 12 different pre-arranged options. The other side are the extra sides, drinks, and desserts. Different prices for lunch time and dinner time (but the portions are the same, lol). Lunch runs 11.99 for options 1-8, 14.99 for options 9-12; whereas dinner runs 12.99 for options 1-8 and 15.99 for options 9-12. So in reality, the price difference really isn't bad at all. You get to pick your soup level of spice (or non) and it comes with your option of either a side or rice or noodles! I opted for 2 which is the seafood fillet hot soup, which is a fav. I like that the vegetables are at the bottom cooking, so at least it makes my bowl look as if there's more food rather than topping it so it looks like I'm eating a bow of salad (AHEM, Boiling Point). Everything's already cooked, but its served to you on a mini hotpot tray with the flames and bowl so it's boiling when it gets to you. It can get difficult to eat since it's super hot, but you learn your way around it. Lots of splashing can happen and they'll refill your soup if you run out! The table comes with house sauce and hot sauce just to ensure more flavors for your food. It's actually not bland at all without it, but who can turn down free sauce! Also, your meal comes with a complimentary green tea which is delicious by the way! Dinner time can get busy so plan accordingly for a wait. They can accompany large parties and smaller parties. They take card and cash, and yes, there's a bathroom. I would definately pick Tasty Pot over Boiling Point anyday here in the Bay Area. The food is the same so is the price. Very yummy hot pot place! I wouldn't say it's the most incredible hot pot I've had but we've gone a few times before the pandemic. It was always busy with a line of people waiting to be sat. We've ordered take out a couple of times since March and it definitely hits the spot when you're looking for something warm to fill your belly up. They have a variety of sauces and ingredients to put in your bowl, even for non meat eaters! The serving sizes are quite big and there's always leftover in our meals. Tasty Pot is very tasty. I had only been to the Berkeley location, prior to December-2018, but I ended up coming here after an intensive 2 day, 8 hours per day, workout training session. I noticed that, although the interior and design is different (this place wins if it was a competition), that the food and service tastes and seems very similar. I guess it's good for the brand, as quality and customer service should remain relatively similar for each location. The prices have gone up, since my last Tasty Pot visit - in the beginning of 2018, but the small pot for dinner is enough to fill me up. Ended up getting the Lamb - spicy (not extra spicy), and it was a perfect amount of a kick that it got me sweating - an indication that I enjoyed the meal. They do also serve milk tea/tea drinks, which is a very nice touch and goes well with the hot pot; but I think the tea shop next door tastes a lot better. Overall, the service was decent, the food was tasty, and all is well. Tip: It is RUMORED that if you have a student ID card, you will get 10% off. I forgot mine, so I can't confirm it. The wait is DEFINITELY shorter because there was no wait, or at least when I went around 12pm on a Friday there wasn't. I don't guarantee the "no wait" thing for every time though. who knows. One main difference is they allow you to pick the spicy level for the Taiwanese Spicy Pot. Although the spiciness choice starts from medium, it's still a lot better than only being able to choose the spiciest level! I chose medium but it didn't taste that spicy to me. I guess I'm just used to eating the spiciest for this flavor broth. I'll try a spicier level the next time I go. Service was good! I would say I tried this place twice but the flavors of the soup are only ok to me. It just felt there was not much flavor to the soup that you had to add the sauces to make it flavorful. I went here twice and tried to like it. The place is big and modern. If you had a group, they had one section for it only. Very cool place to hang out and it gets pretty busy here. Parking is tight near the restaurant. Not much on friendly personal level service as they are always running around. They do have dessert they offer like macaroons or pearl tea drinks or waffle ice cream sandwiches? I only tried the tea drinks and they were pretty good. The presentation of the soup is very cool and it's served really hot on big heated bowl stands. Ingredient were ok and not really fresh to me. It had a lot of processed food in it. I have tried the beef noodle soup and the Vietnamese Seafood noodle soup. The Vietnamese seafood soup was so big, there is no way I could finish this. They put in small half crabs that you had to still peel; not much for peeling and rate down on that unfortunately. I like crab but to peel it while the soup is freakin hot? I just like it ready for me to eat. The beef noodle soup was better as put a lot of the chili sauce in it for more flavor but I didn't like the instant egg noodles that were in it. It was thin and ok tasting. I should have asked for just rice. They do come around if you want more broth which is cool. I am not sure I would come back here. Im not sure why I haven't written a review for tasty pot yet when ive been here several times, its my go to when i dont feel like waiting in line at boiling point. Recently tasty pot has become so popular that you do have to wait a little bit maybe 15-20 min. Which isn't bad at all compared to boiling point. The menu is the exact same as booking point, so I stick with my usual the Taiwanese hot pot. The Taiwanese hot pot here is pretty much the same as boiling point flavor and all. The only difference is that the regular sized hot pots don't come with an egg, which kinda sucks because those hot pots are smaller. I would come here if I don't feel like waiting in line at boiling point. read more

4.5 STARS My love for Tasty Pot is real. I always get their beef hot soup flamin spicy! It's soooo good and flavorful!! It's definitely my favorite. I have a high tolerance for spiciness so their flamin spicy isn't spicy enough for me. I've tried their Taiwanese pot but it's not as satisfying as the beef one. I also love their black tea, green tea (comes with lunch special!) and milk tea with boba even though it's a little pricey. The black tea takes longer to make than the green tea. I'm knocking off half a star because their service is never consistent! Even when there are few parties, the workers just stand at the cashier and stare, and don't acknowledge you. It's hard to get their attention. I don't think they get the memo. And why do they only give 1 NAPKIN per person? Like c'mon. Anyway, thank you Tasty Pot for keeping my tummy happy and satisfied! read more

I see this everywhere. People always post about it and they make it look so delicious! I finally got to try it today. I met up with a friend for lunch and decided to go at 11am - right when they opened. There was already one group in there when we came in. I liked the interior, it felt very chinese-y lol there wasn't much variety to the menu so that was a bummer. I wanted to try the lamb hotpot but it had pig blood so eh. I ended up getting #12, the Japanese Miso Hotpot. I was craving some meat and udon and this meal had almost everything that I felt like eating. They had some add-ons like extra meats, fish balls, rice, noodles, and other things. Each meal came with complimentary choice of drinks (cold tea) and free add-on (only rice or clear noodles). Each hotpot can actually feed 2 people but if you're really hungry (like me, at that time), you can basically finish the whole thing. The flavour of the soup was delicious! The soup kept boiling which I liked because it kept the soup warm. Customer service was alright. It wasn't busy when we came so they didn't really have to do anything. They came to ask if we wanted extra soup which was nice because some hotpot places charge for extra soup which I think is ridiculous. I've tried way better hot pot's around the area but I wouldn't mind coming back here to give the other hot pot's a try! read more

Came with family for dinner, reserved ahead of time for 9 people Friday at 6:30pm. Good thing we reserved because around 7pm, the lines & wait time we're pretty long! It's a big space with nice, simple decor with comfy seats. There are TVs all around with the game on. 12 different soup flavors & you can add more items for an additional cost. There's also a wide variety of boba drinks & desserts. We ordered: #1. Beef hot soup- good broth! #2. Lamb hot soup- very tasty! #4. Curry Flavor hot soup- needs a bit more curry! #9. Taiwanese Supreme Spicy Hot Soup- good amount of spiciness! #12. Japanese Miso Hot Soup- it was alright. I enjoyed the udon though! Comes along with either rice or vermicelli. The line was really long when we got there Saturday afternoon, almost gave up waiting. So I realized, all of the hot pot from 1 to 7 are the smaller pote and the rest are bigger which is why they charged more. Go during lunch time since they service the same menu, same size but just cheaper during lunch time and you get a tea with it. The staff was ok... too busy, i felt like they were understaffed. Back to the food - food was tasty, i wish they had some sesame sauce on the table, those always go great with hot pot. The soup dries up quickly since there's heat at the bottom, but you can always ask the serve to add more soup. Parking - not as easy unless you park further out in the plaza. read more

This place will get packed during dinner hours. We usually arrive a lil earlier than the dinner times to beat the rush. They serve milk tea here which is kinda nice, especially for the spicy soups. My friends like the curry flavor soup but I like the Thai flavor. I either added too much chili oil or their mild means sweating bullets. It was good either way. The only thing that I don't like is that they add too much cabbage and it's hard to fish out the food. If the food is too hot in the soup, separate it in one of the bowls so it can cool and not burn your mouth. Will come back to try the other flavors~ read more

I got a spicy miso soup facial and I liked it! This place serves your very own stove top with a bowl full of hot comfort food. My miso soup was packed with yumminess! It had udon noodles, crab, napa cabbage, all kinds of tofu, fish, seaweed, pork slices served with a bowl of rice. The miso broth was medium spiced and was perfect for my daring taste buds. And don't forget the dipping sauce on the table, it gives each bite an extra layer of yumminess! Its so comforting to eat here and it makes me want to come back over and over again. Which I did, 2 times within 2 weeks. This is now one of my favorite places to eat at and the prices... not too bad! $12.99 will get you a really good meal and your face will glow from the facial you'll be getting. Go try it! NOTES: Lots of free parking. Good service. They don't take reservations but was able to accommodate a party of 13, however, we were split into 2 sections but close enough to each other. Soupy goodness for the individual soul! This is the place to be on a cold day and looking for something warm and filling. I have really enjoyed the kimchi soup; the combination of ingredients is diverse and portioned well. The mild spicy was really spicy (to me), so definitely choose normal if you can't handle spice and want to taste more of the flavor. I would recommend getting the vermicelli (part of the order) than the rice so you can dip the noodles in and get all that flavor in the noodles. Wait time can be long but if you do a Yelp reservation before, you are next in line pretty quickly! read more

1.5 Stars I really wanted to like this place. When you sit down, there were so many similarity to that of Boiling Point (menu layout; lunch special with drink, garlic sauce, individual hot pot) that I thought it was going to be just as good (or ever better). PORTION: Shallow in comparison to what Boiling Point serves you. The depth of the pot is only the height of the bottom portion of the spoon (minus the handle). SAUCE: Their garlic sauce is mostly all soy sauce and a bit of garlic. Doesn't even compare to Boiling Point's sauce. SEAFOOD FILLET HOT SOUP: -Napa: Bitter! I'm not sure how this is even possible. It wasn't just my pot. My friend pot's napa was bitter as well. -Shrimp: The soup came with 2 shrimps. Not the freshest; shell attach to meat once cooked. -Crab: No flavor. Don't bother trying to eat it. -Soup: Flavorless. It was just salty. Not an ounce of seafood flavor. SOUP POT: I'm not sure who thought of this horrible contraption. The entire surface is part of the pot where it holds the soup. So naturally when the server lights up the soup, the ENTIRE SURFACE becomes scolding hot. And if that wasn't enough, when you try to move the soup (e.g. push it towards the center of the table) the legs itself was hot. Basically once lit, the ENTIRE APPARATUS becomes piping hot and you can not touch it without getting burn. This thing is dangerous! To make matters worse, the gel that was underneath my soup wasn't enough. So when I asked the server to add more (so my soup will boil and cook the content), she herself didn't even want to touch it. She went to go get a guy server. And you know what he used to remove my hot soup? Napkins. Not only was the soup so hot that the server can't remove it safely with their bare hands, they didn't even have the proper equipment to safely remove it from the table! Subpar food. Unsafe equipment. Now I know why people up here wait 3 hours for Boiling Point. read more

Located in the corner of the plaza, Tasty Pot is another addition to the Tri-City area to serve individual hot pots. We were glad to walk in on a weekend afternoon and find no wait for lunch. The ambience inside is modern and chic. Tables are wide, chairs are squishy, and everyone is comfortable. For their lunch pots, the price includes the pot, a side of rice or vermicelli, and a drink (iced or hot black or green tea). I chose the #1 beef hot pot mild with a side of rice and iced green tea. The rest of the family ordered the kimchi dumpling, stinky tofu, and Japanese miso. The shape of their pots is super unique -- it looks like a mini China Pavilion building! Cute and creative points for them. When the pots come out, everything is mostly cooked, but the server will heat up your pot after it arrives, and you can watch it bubble and boil and cook everything the rest of the way. The fire will die down eventually, but be careful! Each pot, although shallow, is still packed with a lot of goodies. When paired with a bowl of rice, it is the perfect amount of food to leave you fully satisfied. The beef hot pot had a satay kind of broth. I'm not a huge fan of satay, but it was still tasty! (because it's a tasty pot, haha...!) They seem to be struggling in the service category. For a weekend lunch rush, there were only 2 or 3 servers working the entire restaurant. They were trying their best to get to everyone, and they were super friendly, but there were times when you could tell parties were getting a bit annoyed and frustrated. I hope they find some help soon. Their dessert and drinks menu looked extreeeemely tempting, but we decided against it after being stuffed with our pots. There will definitely be a next time. What I like about this place is that the pots actually contains something more than just cabbage. My party only tried two flavors, miso and curry. Both had a lot of ingredients that were filled to the brim. However the soup base didn't have much flavor. Despite ordering curry, the soup was tame. The flavor basically comes from the ingredients but those were also generally tasteless. At least they have golden fishballs which is always a plus for hot pot since the fishballs themselves are flavorful. The pearls in the drink was mushy and a bit too much dairy. Service is nice. The guy offered us a reward card and gave us a stamp per pot. So we had like 6 stamps off the bat. read more
