We have been loyal customers of Happy Lamb since 2006, so it was extremely disappointing to experience this during the 3-day all-you-can-eat promotion. We waited in line for over an hour. When the restaurant finally opened, the host brought us to a table for our party of 7. However, before we even had a chance to sit down, another staff member, a lady wearing glasses, came over and told us that the table was "reserved" for another party. She then asked us to wait another 90 minutes, even though the restaurant had just opened. What makes this especially frustrating is that we had previously been told that customers could not call ahead or reserve tables during the promotion period. If reservations were not allowed, then how were certain tables already being held for other parties? It honestly gave us the impression that some tables were being reserved for the staff's friends or family. I sincerely hope that is not the case, but the way this was handled made us feel that loyal customers were being treated unfairly. We have supported Happy Lamb since 2006, and we were really looking forward to this promotion. Instead, we left feeling disrespected, frustrated, and very disappointed. If this promotion is advertised as being for customers, it should be applied fairly to everyone -- including both new and loyal customers. There should be clear and consistent rules, rather than some guests appearing to receive special treatment. This experience completely changed our impression of Happy Lamb. A promotion should not come at the expense of fairness and customer trust.

TGIF at Happy Lamb Hot Pot -- the ultimate way to stay warm and satisfied! Nothing hits quite like an AYCE hot pot bubbling away on a chilly night. Fresh meats, crisp veggies, rich broths, and that perfect steamy comfort that wraps you up from the inside out. Happy Lamb never misses -- flavorful, cozy, and exactly what a Friday night should feel like. The service is quick even is AYCE. Free membership after scan the QR code to get points and free reward. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Ambiance is causal.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Be aware to plan to wait on Friday night.

MY FAVORITE HOTPOT PLACE, HANDS DOWN. I don't know why I'm only writing a review now because I've been dining here almost every month. The unhealthy number of times I've been here is honestly crazy. I've brought so many friends here, I've brought my family here, and I've even dined here by myself. Haha The food is great! The DIY meat, veggie, and cooked food bar is always awesome, and I've noticed they add new cooked items every now and then. The sauce bar has changed over the years, and I've definitely noticed they keep it cleaner now more than ever, which I really appreciate. The AYCE hotpot menu is straightforward and easy to order from. I always go for the "Best of Both Worlds" broth. Always. The hotpot options have been upgraded (good wagyu!) and have been really good lately. One thing I truly love about this place is that the price has always stayed reasonable. Service from the front guy is always top-notch. I love that dude he's so accommodating and welcoming every time. There is a newer server, a middle-aged lady (I think her station is on the right by the wall). She might need a bit more training. Sometimes she's pleasant, but most of the time she seems a bit grumpy and like she doesn't want to be there. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Overall though, this is STILL my favorite place. It's the one spot I'm totally comfortable dining at solo.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] If no one wants to go with me, I'll go by myself, no hesitation. Ain't no stopping me. LOL.

Great-quality meat, and we enjoyed both the original and tomato broths. If you're planning to order mostly beef or lamb, the premium menu is pretty much a must. It's a bit steep for lunch in my opinion, but the quality and service justified it. The soft-serve ice cream at the end was a nice touch. I'm not usually a soft drink person, but they offered a few unique options that were worth trying.

Tried Happy Lamb Hot Pot in Union City and overall had a great experience! The broth was flavorful, the meats were fresh, and I really loved their salad bar -- lots of options and everything looked clean and well stocked. They offer different tiers (Regular, Premium, and VIP). We originally considered the Premium tier, but found out that some of the special cuts are limited to only one order each, which kind of defeats the purpose of paying more. Because of that, we stuck with the Regular tier instead. The regular tiers had limited selection but the meats were tender and good -- just wish the Premium tier had true "all you can eat" access. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Service was quick, the space was clean, and the food came out fast.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Definitely love the variety in the salad bar as well as the various appetizers they offered.

Been here at least three times and enjoyed every visit. Their food is consistent and service is fast. They have a large selection of proteins to choose from on the menu, in addition to the proteins that are already included/offered at the buffet/self-serve section. [[HIGHLIGHT]]They seem to keep that section clean and well-stocked.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] There are pre-made fried items as well including potstickers, wings, buns, egg rolls, and boiled pigs feet. Various types of noodles and many types of veggies from which to choose. In the back, you'll find seasonings, garnishes, and sauces, along with some self-serve ice cream and some cake or jelly. I liked the child's plate they gave to us when they saw we had a toddler. It was so cute! My little one also enjoyed munching on the snacks they had by the front door.

    Cockroach

不要來這家,超多蟑螂!!! DO NOT come to this location. When we were eating, there was a small cockroach running super fast on our table and it fell off the table and my friend stepped on it. Later on, we found another mini cockroach in our pot... The staff was like "What do you want? Change the pot? Change the table?" Excuse me, should you call your manager and apologize?? Didn't get any serious attention and any apologize at all. By the way, the sesame paste is different, the color is not right and it didn't taste right either. Also, they never come check on us, never add broth for us either.

this place was not so busy when I had arrived, but it slowly picked up. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I honestly love how clean the place is for an all-you-can-eat.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] they restock the add-ons consistently and frequently which is amazing. the broth itself -- i ordered the best of both worlds: a clear broth and spicy broth -- wasn't too bad. it was flavorful and the spicy one was not overly spicy. I usually can't take spice yet I was able to do this one. the service was great. our server was super attentive and very friendly. he was pleasant to have as a server. overall a great experience. it was a great way to end off my day. filled it up with lots of veggies + udon

I always love this place!!! They have all of the options I like (mostly quail egg) and the price is very reasonable. Its AYCE and also has the sauce bar and 'free' foods bar. I always get so full coming here!

    Soup menu
    Sabrina Z.

Came here after a long day with my family. We got the classic AYCE menu with the split pot soup (original and spicy). I thought the soup broths were good in flavor, but the meats we ordered were disappointing. The lamb was cut so thin we could barely pick it up to put in the pot. The beef and pork were chewy. There was no rice, and they no longer carry draft beers. Only bottled tsingtao, Heineken, or coronas. They also have a complimentary salad bar situation to grab additional foods. The fried chicken was the best part of our meal, we went back for thirds!!

Hotpot is my favorite, and after looking into options nearby, I found that Happy Lamb offered the best prices and had longer lunch hours compared to other hot pot restaurants. They have a $22.99 ayce lunch special from 11:30am to 3:00pm; however, you do have to pay an extra $1.99 per person if you want a drink and access to the sauce bar so it's technically 24.99 because honestly, who is having hotpot without sauce? I got the mushroom broth and the spicy marrow broth. The mushroom broth was packed with flavor, while the spicy marrow was just spicy. All the meats were served fresh. [[HIGHLIGHT]]They could've done a better job keeping the sauce and food bar clean though.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Overall, the staff and food were fantastic, and in my opinion, lunchtime is the best time to go. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's not only more peaceful, but also perfect for the atmosphere and the value.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

    Jeff D.

Love this place! Always great meal and love it especially when they have the lamb curry. Lots of choices for your soup and reasonable price. Staff is good they look for ways to expedite your orders and keep the food coming. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Place is nice inside and the way they remodeled it has created more room so it's not too crowded when getting toppings.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

The inside is decently sized although there's no space for you to sit and enjoy your food inside and outside. There's a tablet at the register for you to submit your order. I opted for their ham and cheese isaac toast and an egg salad sandwich. I appreciate the food being made fresh and the workers were efficient, but the isaac toast had one slice of ham and A LOT of cabbage, both fried in a puck and non-fried. The egg salad sandwich looked good, but didn't have much flavor to rave about. Overall, yes, the food is made fresh for you and it's a decent option to have if you're in the area, but it wouldn't be my first pick for a quick meal.

IN THIS economy, the prices are already expensive at $17.50+ a plate and there is mostly carbs noodles or rice and some meat. but then adding 17% auto tip plus asking for more is greedy. this was not an issue before, due to this type of new behavior I am not sure i wil return despite the food being decent and service by the waitor was good. restaurants, please stop trying to gouge crazy tip percentages, we know what you are up to. this is one of the only countries that abuse the tipping system. I also had an idiot friend that wanted to add extra tip, i had to throw cold water of awakening into her face.

We'd been to Milk & Honey a few times for their prepared bento takeout, but this was our first time dining in. We ordered the salt & pepper mushrooms, stir-fried string beans, garlic eggplant, Sichuan chicken, minced pork over rice, a combo noodle dish, and of course, the fermented stinky tofu. Everything was delicious and when you can satisfy a craving...everything just hits different What really made the meal memorable though, was the hospitality. The owner was incredibly warm and attentive, checking in on every table throughout the evening. At one point, she noticed our minced pork rice looked a little light on the gravy (something we hadn't even noticed ourselves). Without us saying a word, she headed back to the kitchen and returned with an extra serving of the pork topping to make sure it was just right. As the dinner rush slowed, she spent time chatting with us about our recent trip to Taiwan, sharing stories about Taiwanese food and what makes the cuisine so special. By the end of the meal, it didn't feel like we were dining at a restaurant--it felt like we were having dinner at an auntie's house, enjoying great food and even better conversation. Great food is easy to appreciate. Genuine hospitality is much harder to find. Milk & Honey gave us both, and we'll definitely be back (and look forward to dine in more often)

The setup is cafeteria‑style: you grab a bowl and tongs, then move down the line choosing your meats, seafood, veggies, and noodles. Once you've built your bowl, it gets weighed and sent to the kitchen to be cooked. They also have a condiment station where you can mix and match sauces to your liking -- a fun touch that lets you customize your meal even more. Service is simple and straightforward; the staff brings your finished bowl to the table, and everything comes out hot and fresh. The restaurant is located in the Marina Market lot, which has plenty of parking, making it easy to stop by anytime. Highly recommended for anyone craving a warm, flavorful, and comforting bowl of soup.

The pork intestines were not chewy and the meat portions were pretty generous. My only gripe with the order was that they precooked the meat and placed it in a bowl sized container, and then separated the soup base in another. That caught me off guard as I was expecting raw meats like you would at any other hotpot establishment. I suppose there are pros and cons to their decision to precook the meat for me, but I would have liked to have known they would do that or have the option of receiving it pre-cooked or raw since the doneness of the meat is kind of crucial to how good the hotpot will taste for peoples preference.

I've seen paint dry, glaciers melt, and toddlers grow up faster than our food arrived. When it finally did show up, the "katsu fish and chips" looked like someone raided last night's sashimi scraps, dunked them in a fryer, and hoped for the best. The portion was so tiny I wasn't sure if it was an appetizer or a prank. Flavor? Let's just say "questionable" is doing heavy lifting here. And because nothing says "classic fish and chips" like an identity crisis, it came with a chopped fruit salad. Bold choice. If you have kids, bring your own booster seat. Or a booster seat for your expectations. They don't have any high chairs, and apparently never thought anyone under 30 might try to dine there. The place was empty--like "abandoned warehouse" empty. Which raises the real question: how does this place stay in business? I'm convinced it's a front. For what, I don't know, but definitely not good food or service. In conclusion: if you want slow service, tiny weird fish, and fruit with your fried seafood while sitting in a restaurant that feels like a set for a crime drama, this is absolutely your spot.

We tried several dishes and honestly it even felt like we had ordered too much because the portion sizes are so big! We tried the Korean fried chicken, the spicy pork belly plate, the bulgogi pancake, the hot stone seafood bibimbaps, and the Soo Ja fries.
