I tried the purple sticky rice fantuan. It had a good flavor, but I don't think it was really my thing, and I probably wouldn't order it again. The spicy popcorn chicken, however, was really delicious--crispy, flavorful, and definitely worth trying. I'll definitely be back to explore more items on the menu.

Taiwanese Eats is a pickup-only spot operating out of a shared commercial kitchen, so parking can be limited. Ordering ahead is definitely the way to go for quick and easy service. I ordered the Purple Sticky Rice Roll with Braised Pork, and it was delicious. The Chinese donut inside added a great crunch and texture, while the egg was soft, filling, and complemented everything well. The braised pork was seasoned perfectly and packed with flavor. I also tried the Black Bean Soy Milk, which was a nice treat. It had a unique flavor and wasn't overly sweet, making it a refreshing addition to the meal. Overall, everything was tasty and well prepared. I'll definitely be coming back the next time I'm in the area!

The online ordering is easy and straightforward. The parking situation like most people have addressed, is limited. The pickup system that they have is redundant. Apparently they don't have a dedicated person working at the window. So when you arrive, you have to scan the QR code on the right, find the order # on your original receipt that was emailed to you, fill out an online form and then ring one of the applicable wireless doorbells on the left to get someone to come to the pickup window. We went there when they first opened, and they already ran out of some ingredients that they use to make the rice burrito. So instead of letting us know, they just crossed out the ingredients on the paper wrapper, as if it didn't come with those ingredients. The size and flavor of the burrito was a little small and less flavor too.

2/5 star on the beef stew purple rice burrito. The beef was either really tough or I was biting down on a piece of fat. 3/5 on the fried chicken bento box. It would probably taste better if it was not in a to-go container. The trapped heat made the chicken soggy. It could also use a tad more seasonings.

An absolute hidden gem! So glad we stopped by here. I've been wanting to try Fan Tuan for a long while now and had no clue where to get my hands on one. I really was worried when we showed up and found out that it was a ghost kitchen, but wow, their food is an absolute hit. We ordered the Purple Rice Braised Pork and Purple Rice Pork Floss with a side order of spicy pig ears. I wasn't sure what to expect but it's everything you didn't know you needed out of a burrito. So many textures that somehow magically come together to make something so delicious. Also, this place has great value, I appreciate the generous serving size. The fried dough stays crispy for white awhile so we didn't have any issues with that getting soggy. They put just the right amount of mustard greens in each fan tuan. Also the rice was perfectly portioned. It's easy to go heavy handed with rice in general, they did a great job at keeping a nice thin layer of rice around the fillings. The spicy pig ears were shaved so thinly, the texture was still nice and bouncy but easy to chewy through. Parking can be a little bit scarce when you're here. You might have to park a few blocks away and walk over. This ghost kitchen pickup is fully outdoors as well. So definitely order ahead and stop by once your food is ready.

This place is a ghost kitchen but man I hope it gets the love it deserves because the food here is super comforting and delicious! I got a Red Vinasse Pork Bento- LOADED! I mean absolutely loaded with various different sides and I mean cabbage, green beans, tea egg, and a heaping amount of rice. The pork was seasoned a fried immaculately, the egg was marinated super well, and there was even even a subtle, yet light, and delicious sauce that coated the rice. I still keep thinking about it. Purple Sticky rice with braised pork fan tuan - This is a complete meal in itself. Rice, Chinese doughnut that is still crispy, some pickled greens and loaded with the braised pork. The braised pork has fatty parts that just completely melt in your mouth with each bite. There's even an entire egg in there! What an absolute unit.

Ghost kitchen where you can pick up a quick bite for lunch. Purple sticky rice pork floss fan tuan was full of flavor and had so much filling! Very nice rice to meat ratio. All you need to do is ring their specific doorbell to pick up your order.

Taiwanese girl approved! Always looking for an outstanding fantuan and this place delivers. Since I'm in the Easy Bay, I can't stop by as often as I'd like, but if you're lucky enough to be on the peninsula, then please order yourself one of their bentos and these well-packed, beautifully assembled rice "burritos."

Take out only, order ahead - quite literally a "hole" in the wall kinda restaurant. Taiwanese who misses home street food living on the peninsula may find themselves happily fed. All items sufficiently authentic.

Was pleasantly surprised by the portion of the sticky rice burrito! It came in two big halves and was stuffed with rice, pork, boiled egg, fried dough stick/youtiao, and many more toppings. The rice was also seasoned so it was tasty to eat. I think it could last you two meals. A solid lunch option!

I also ordered the Mongolian beef, which was flavorful and made with good-quality beef that wasn't fatty. My only complaint was the amount of sauce--it was very thick and oily, and enough leaked out of the to-go container to make a mess. The bean paste chicken was also tasty, with fresh vegetables and tender chicken, but again there was a heavy pool of sauce at the bottom of the container. Cutting back on the sauce a bit would make both dishes even better. Overall, the food was flavorful, portions were solid, and the prices are hard to beat. I'd definitely come back when I'm in the area.

Or really any quality takeout of any kind. $90 order, ranging from dumplings to basic entrees to rice. Everything was off - slopped together, underseasoned, lazy vegetable chopping (and questionable) choices of vegetable ingredients. No Wok fire/heat evident in any of the entree's and everything was a gluey, flavorless mess. The noodles for the Lo Mein seemed honestly just spaghetti. The orange chicken was dry/old, almost no breading, and honestly didn't taste orangey at all. The kung pao looked like what my 7 year old could have made (when we was seven). More like boiled chicken topped with raw Safeway vegetables, whole peanuts, and a soupy cornstarch soy sauce afterthought. The kicker was they do not have any house made sauces, so if you want good mustard or something edible for dipping - welcome to shitty packet hell as they refused to provide those (if they existed). I'm curious what they do when you're in-house but if I''m paying for the same food I'm not sure why I wouldn't get something besides high-fructose corn syrup garbage stamped out in a factory two years ago. This reflects lack of care to the product and customer experience. Highly unfortunate for an establishment that used to be "decent" as I said.

I ordered the Stir Fry Basil Chicken Bento and was immediately impressed by how much you get. The portion is generous, especially for the price! It was loaded with protein and served with two different vegetable sides and a hard boiled egg. It feels like a complete, well-rounded meal rather than the sad, sparse bentos you sometimes end up with. The basil chicken itself was the star cause it was juicy, aromatic, and had just the right kick on mild. If you have any heat tolerance at all, I'd say go mild without hesitation. It's flavorful without being overwhelming. Ordering is super easy through a kiosk, my food was ready in about 8 minutes, and the staff were genuinely friendly. The whole experience was smooth from start to finish. I'll definitely be back to work through more of the menu. Cheesy, tender, egg fried rice was flavorful. Portion kinda small, as the dish was very shallow. Not a lot of rice. Kinda off tho when it was the first dish that arrived to the table and it was lukewarm. I find a baked dish is typically always last since it needs time to bake, and is served scalding hot imo. That's when you know it's done right. This wasn't that. Suss The baked pork chop with cheese and tomato sauce was so disappointing and super greasy/heavy. The meat was chewy and had an unpleasant flavor. The tomato sauce was not good either. The shrimp wonton noodle soup I sadly cannot recommend, the filling was not good. Had more pork than shrimp consistency. I did not enjoy the flavor. Not aromatic. I will say, the noodles were great quality. Thin, bouncy, correct texture. What you would hope for. The soup was not good. The roast duck was good, with tender meat and fatty skin. Flavorful with the plum sauce. The fish congee was good, though a bit too runny imo once cooled down. The fried donut (you tiao) was crunchy and very doughy. Would be nice if they could slice it. I can agree with everyone about their thoughts on the 18% mandatory tip fee, it's crazy lol. Mandatory service fee for hk service (which is minimal service). It was so hard to flag down the waiter for refilling water, or to get more napkins. The place was empty and they were on their phone the whole time. Waiting for that automatic tip. Whatever man.
