This establishment has changed a few times -- new name, different layout and decor but the food itself isn't up to par. Always empty or half filled with guests whenever we dine here. Would love to see different items and some changes to pricing or offers such as specials or happy hour deals. Would definitely come back if I am in the area and wanted to get seated quickly and dine; but this wouldn't be on my top 10.

Yet another new hot pot spot takes over this location! It's ala carte style with authentic ingredient and broth options, along with one of the most extensive sauce and snack bars I've seen yet. The spicy beef tallow broth we got was mild and wasn't too spicy! All the broths could use a bit more flavor, but otherwise prepared well. The meat quality here is good, but you have to make sure not to dump all the meat in at once. The meat here can't be cooked long or it gets chewy. Everything here was very fresh and beautifully prepared. Loved the refreshing fruit teas too! Service was EXCELLENT! Didn't even really have to ask for broth refills as they were attentive enough to check and do it themselves. They were very accommodating in recommending broth options that didn't have pork in it too. Overall beautiful experience!

I Love this Hot pot restaurant. The spicy soup base is excellent. So far is #1 for me in the bay area . Pork liver and chicken kidney are so good .

Saw this restaurant on TikTok and decided to try it out. It is a Chinese a la cart hot pot restaurant. Upon entering, it is very clean and modern inside. They had a really clean sauce bar with a good selection of side dishes. Those dishes include sesame balls, oranges, mussels, shrimp chips, chicken feet, and many more. Everything is ordered through a QR code on the table. All the side toppings we had like the quail eggs, tofu balls, corn, cabbages, etc came with A LOT. they were very generous with their portions. The meats were not too thinly sliced, it had some width to it. Honestly, the quality of meats was delicious. Our personal favorite was the beef tongue. We got a split soup base with the beef tallow at mild and the tomato soup base. Since this is a Chinese hot pot style, their mild was a numbing sensation still. The tomato soup was on the lighter side. Both broths were not salty and held a lot of flavor. We would come back again and only get the tomato soup or the other non spicy soup base.

If you're looking for a hotpot place in the Bay Area, XiFu Hotpot is a great choice! It's located inside a plaza with lots of parking. When you walk into XiFu, you can immediately smell the yummy soup flavors. We were seated immediately and ordered. We got the 4 broths with two types of meat and veggies. We also made our own sauces. We literally could not stop eating because the soup was so flavorful when cooking the meat. The portions were generous and you could tell it was good quality meats! We ended with a mango shave ice dessert and some red bean seasame balls. I will definitely come back! Thank you Reedan for serving us and giving us recommendations for broth!

We came here Tuesday night for their weekday meal for two. The restaurant wasn't busy, and the waiters were very efficient. Our food came very quickly. They have a smaller snack bar compared to some other hotpot places. For hotpot we tried the house special beef tallow and Chinese herbal soup base. Neither were impressive nor fragrant. I was surprised that even the Chinese herbal soup didn't have the right herbal flavor in it. The meal included three beef dishes that were decent, duck blood that tasted fresh, pork liver which was an odd choice for hotpot, braised chicken feet, fried tofu skin, kelp, and cabbage. The dessert was the cutest ever and tastes good too. Although the taste didn't stand out among the blooming hotpot scene, the final price for two was $78, which was pretty good value given the Bay Area baseline. I don't think it's worth a long drive, but a good casual hotpot spot if you live nearby.

We tried this hotpot place as a work lunch, since my boss recommended it as an authentic chengdu restaurant. You already know my team ordered everything from the menu. The service here was really great, they were supper attentive, and overall we had a really great experience. We got the half and half hot pot with the chicken and mild sichuan pepper. The mild was pretty spicy for all of us spice lovers, so do not overestimate your spice tolerance here. We got a variety of meats and vegetables, as well as the seafood tower! Everything was super fresh and great quality. We also loved the tea that they served, and they had good appetizers and sauce bar.

Store is fairly new but already very crowded on Sunday night 8pm! And the food justifies the popularity. All ingredients are high quality (both meat and veggies) with a wide selection. They offer some exotic meats that are not common in other shops like black tripe, pig brains, kidney, etc. the plate size is bigger than most places. Soup bases are delicious. We ordered spicy beef tallow and pork bone broth this time. Beef tallow is a looooot of tallow. I usually like spicy food but I gotta say the bone broth really impresses me this time. So good that I drank as soup afterwards. Another huge plus is the sauce and side dish bar. The cucumber salad and spicy sweet clams are my favorite. Other snacks include edamame, fish skin, chicken feet, and cracker. What's not good is they stopped restocking fruits way before closing time.

We love this place (and we eat a lot of hot pot)! The ingredients are high quality, nice environment, friendly staff, and generous food bar (we love the mussels), and is ala carte. We have small kids and often dine with our parents, so we don't want to do AYCE as much anymore. I hope more people will come here so it will stay around!

4.5 stars rounded up due to great food ingredients. Ingredients are way above average & on the premium side. The final price is somewhat reasonable after forking out $16 to $20 for the hotpot soups. For party of 2, it's on the high side but for a party of 4, it's reasonable. All meats are sliced to perfection! Love the preparation by the chefs. Beef throat was sliced thin enough & quantity wad much more than i expected for the price. Pork kidney were sliced thin and large and makes hotpot cooking simple. And result is perfectly tender! Btw, soups we picked 2 half pots: 1. herbs 2. pork stomach/chicken. Both were excellent. Hand made shrimp paste is a must order. Tender & crunchy after cooking. Pork meatballs are ok. (Forgot to take pics). Veggies are nice & fresh (see pic). The star of the evening was the seafood platter: 3 abalone with shell, 6+ tiger shrimp, snakehead fish filets; and conch slices. Btw: $29 is a bargain Service is friendly and definitely has customer first attitude. Will be back to try their meat dishes.

We've been to this spot over ten times now and absolutely love it! The beef tallow hot pot is super authentic--rich, flavorful, and aromatic. The coolest part? When they refill the broth, they actually add herbal tea into the beef tallow hot pot. Such a unique touch, haha. The meat quality is solid, and the mala beef is a must-try. Besides the meat, I especially love the mushroom platter, lotus root, and their fried rice. They also bring out free small side dishes like peanuts, cucumber, watermelon, orange slices, mussels, and chicken feet. The only downside is that the chicken feet are on the sweeter side--we personally prefer them salty and spicy rather than sweet. The restaurant is clean, hygienic, and the staff are always super friendly. Definitely a place we'll keep coming back to!

Taking on one of the fieriest hot pot broth challenges in the Bay Area at City Hot Pot in Fremont! The a la carte menu is a definite win--you can pick exactly what you crave without overloading your plate. Perfect for customizing your feast while keeping things balanced. Service is great, very attentive. Thank you One of the server, Lee's tips to remove extra spicy butter before melting in the broth. Ambiance is cute, love the tea set with floral.

When ayce sounds like too much, check out this a la carte hot pot place! Food: The meat quality was really good! We went as a party of 3, and it came out to about $40 per person. We left feeling very satisfied and full! Service: You place orders by scanning a QR code at the table, so ordering was easy but it weirdly took a long time (25min+) to get the raw meat and veggies... There was also a self-service sauce and food bar with some appetizers, like fried chicken wings (these were a little too hard and dry) and stir fried mussels (these were good). There were some delays on refills, but understandable since it was a pretty packed night.

I liked the self serve topping selection. Some options like octopus were dinner only, but they were so good. Very comfortable and nice place to fill up your stomach. One con I could say is the meat selection is not as wide compared to bbq spots since you can't really have marinated meat for shabu shabu. Overall it's very good. I liked it.

There is a front of the house "manager". I don't know her name because unlike the servers, she doesn't wear a name tag. Perhaps that is on purpose...and should change. I will just say she's an older woman who wears glasses. When one of the children in our party went up to measure their height, it was clear that they were below the line. Nobody had an issue besides this "manager". She demanded that she double check, using a menu to carefully measure. If Shabuya needs to check height so badly, maybe we can go elsewhere. There are other places to eat. She is incredibly rude and said WE were the problem. Wow! Again, she wasn't wearing a name tag, so I cannot even name her. Just that she's incredibly off-putting and will cost Shabuya customers.
