My son ordered the burger and fries. He said the burger was 4 1/2 stars. He said it was cooked perfectly and it was really juicy and not greasy. He gave the burger 4 1/2 stars. He said the fries were not so fabulous but he kept in mind that we had a 14 minutes ride to get home so he doesn't want to rate the fries as of yet... he mentioned that they were well seasoned though. I ordered the short stack that came with fruit whip cream and butter and syrup, breakfast potatoes sourdough toast sausage and bacon for $2 more came with 2 eggs as well. This review is solely based upon the professionalism. I unfortunately did not get to try their food. When my partner and I walked in, we waited about 5-10 minutes for a girl with pink eyeliner to take down our names. Mind you she seen us standing there, her male coworker making coffees seen us as well, they looked at one another, looked at us, looked away several times. Instead of greeting us and letting us know someone would help us soon, they were completely dismissive towards us. We had to ask other guests if we wait to be seated as it was our first time there. Finally when the girl with pink eyeliner decided to help us, she had attitude and you could tell she must be over being there and people in general. Point blank, if you do not want to work in a face to face high volume place...ask to be placed somewhere else or find another job. She was trying to rush helping us didn't even give us a wait time so before we gave her our info my partner asked how long the wait time would be and she was annoyed we asked. I took my best friend to brunch over the weekend (Hawthorne area) in LA and decided to try this place. The customer service is top notch. I ordered an appetizer, the pancake sampler, and the chorizo burrito. The avo toast with salmon was delicious and crisp. A bit too much arugula, but the salmon brought it all together. The pancake sampler was so fulfilling and every sauce was unique to itself; my favorite was the banana. Even the butters are made with the pancake in mind. The burrito was humongous. The sauce was great and I loved the mix between the green sauce and red sauce. To drink, I ordered the pineapple juice and Chai latte, as well as the café de olla. Every drop was enjoyed. My wife wanted to try this place so of course i obliged but will never waste our time waiting for food that was good at best. They obviously cater to the Latino community (we didn't see any other culture during the over 2 hours there) and the fusion Mexican food was good but definitely wont be getting a Michelin star rating any time soon. The flow of table sitting is horrible. All tables are 4 or more which don't allow the joining of two table of 2 if necessary which good restaurant businesses know allows you to maximize the space of the restaurant. After being seated, we were not waited on for at least another 10 minutes. When we were waited on, we were immediately asked if we were ready to order but never given a menu. The waitress mentioned a QR code menu which was never told to us when seated. We felt a little rushed after the hour and a half wait. My wife order the chilaquiles (not bad at all) that apparently they are known for and I had the Birria Tacos (needed flavor). Located off busy Hawthorne Blvd a few miles southeast of LAX, Tata's offers some of the most authentic and delicious homemade cuisine around. After looking over all of the Yelp reviews, I decided to stop in to have one of the favorite dishes: Huevos Rancheros. At $14, this is an amazingly affordable and wonderfully layered masterpiece. The Tostadas are crispy and provide a flavorful foundation of Black Beans, Over Medium Eggs, Incredibly fresh and chunky Salsa, Queso Fresco, Avocado and Micro Greens. The rich flavor profile of all of the wonderful ingredients work so well together - it is quite a treat. Don't forget the coffee. Freshly made and wonderfully bold, at $2.50 a cup with unlimited refills, it's a steal. As I was enjoying my breakfast, the owner, Luis, was incredibly attentive and kind throughout service, even explaining the french toast, pancakes and large breakfast burritos that passed me from the kitchen on the way to salivating diners. For desert, Luis said that the Salvadorean Quesadilla was a family recipe from his late mother, who shared with the family before her passing. Served with Vanilla Ice Cream and Fruit, each portion is prepared with a 20-minute lead time. At only $6, this is one of the most affordable and delicious sweet treats you will find anywhere in Southern California. Served warm, the bread has a subtle crispy exterior and an almost soufflé-like interior. It's incredibly decadent and the perfect excuse to have ice cream for breakfast. A must! The decor is extremely warm and welcoming. About a dozen tables and a few counter spaces accommodate about 60 people when full, and this place can definitely be buzzing on a busy weekend during peach brunch hours. The bathrooms are very clean, the music (Lithium on SiriusXM) is solid and the overall service is very friendly and attentive. Plenty of free parking in back with the Marriott Courtyard. Tata's delivers on every key restaurant standard: homemade, delicious food prepared fresh and generously, incredible customer service, impeccable dining atmosphere and very affordable prices. This establishment is ableist and the staff gave very demeaning attitudes towards me and my special needs kids. Please do not support this cafe, I understand that the atmosphere is geared towards the young, hip crowd but it does not excuse the rolling of eyes at a mother asking for a small accommodation. They did not attend us and completely ignored us all while helping everyone else out. The guests and staff gave disgusted looks at my disabled son when he was simply stimming and not even crying. We came on a Friday afternoon so we had no wait, but after our brunch, I would not doubt they are busy on weekends. We ordered a bit an everything on the menu and just be ready for portion size. All of our plates were huge, so you either come hungry or you can definitely share. I personally ordered the green chilaquiles which had a soft kick of spice to it but appreciate that they drown the tortilla chips in their sauce. I paired it with a pink latte which has unique combination of Our own blend of Organic Beet Powder, Cinnamon, Ginger, Clove, Cardamom, Himilayan Sea Salt and Black Pepper. (sweetened with house made Madagascar Vanilla bean syrup). Definitely liked the drink but it just got warm too quick (ordered it iced). Both were amazing and would highly recommend. You do have to eat the French toast while it's still hot because as it cools down the bread gets hard. It's Sunday morning it was a decent wait for a table so we opted no wait bar seating at the street end of this place. Started with our coffees, horchata latte and tatas latte (both with oatmilk) both were so delicious. I got tatas latte and it's my NEW FAVORITE. Honestly you just have to try it. Yelp helps so much with all the food pics so we went with the Chorizo breakfast burrito (for our savory meal) it's a wet burrito with half red and green salsa. The presentation is on point, it looked too good to eat. I love the green salsa, next time I will go with all salsa verde the burrito was a shareable size for two of us. Now for the sweets, we went with the French toast! Again the presentation was lovely and it was just as great! The toast was crunchy (in the best way) so pouring the syrup all over it was a great balance. All the fruit was amazing and fresh. They are playing all the early 2000 bangers it definitely gives Hawthorne vibes (we're Hawthorne locals) taking us back to our school days here. I would say if they played some Mana or loungey brunch music it would make the environment more cozy and warm. The service was great!
