Tatte Bakery has really good service and a beautiful menu, but the ordering process can feel a bit chaotic. You have to place your order first and then try to find a seat, which can be tricky during busy times. That said, the food and drinks make it worth it -- I had the pistachio latte and it was absolutely amazing. Rich, flavorful, and perfectly balanced. Once you're settled, it's a great place to enjoy a treat!

Would definitely say going to Tatte is part of the quintessential Boston experience at this point. Tatte is the place to be if you want some insta-worthy pastries and drinks. Their pastries & cakes are definitely their strong suit. Today's Sour Cherry Black Forest Cake was absolutely delicious. I loved the strong dark chocolate notes paired with sour cherry to cut the sweetness. I think their drinks could be way better (my pistachio latte didn't even taste of pistachio) and they're rather overpriced for their quality. There are definitely better cafes out there, but if you're looking for aesthetics or a cozy spot to chat with friends, Tatte is always a solid choice.

This was on my top must try, and it didn't disappoint. They have several locations, but this location was right by our hotel which was perfect! The customer service was great, lots of seating in doors and outside and the breakfast meals and coffee was just as good as I was hoping for. Let's say we tried Tatte two days in a row. The location in Newbury is more crowded due to it appearing smaller and less seats. When I come back to Boston, I'll definitely be trying more on their menu!

This place is super cute, the aesthetics are definitely there! We came for breakfast, and even though the line was long, it moved fast. You order at the counter, they give you a number, and the food gets brought to your table. I had the shakshuka, and wow, it was huge! Perfect for 2 to share. The presentation was beautiful, and the bread was generous, perfectly toasted, and went so well with the tomato sauce. Absolutely delicious! The guy who brought out the shakshuka had that classic Boston/East Coast accent, which was so iconic for me to hear, he seemed funny too! And the brunette with curly hair who brought our drinks and to-go box was so sweet and friendly. I also got an iced latte, and it was really good. My only tiny regret was that we had to rush a bit to make it to the Swan Boats nearby when they opened, otherwise I would've loved to have stayed longer and gotten a pastry. Love that they have other locations around the city. I'd definitely come back next time I'm in Boston!

We are from California visiting Boston for the weekend, and this was the best little café that we could have ever found. The best thing about this café, is that they're located in various places around the Boston area. The vibes are great, once you walk inside, there's a lot of people doing work on laptops, it's like a modern Starbucks vibe. Seat is very limited, so if you go during peak hours, all I have to say is good luck finding a seat. We eventually did find seats, while we are waiting for our show to start in the theater down the street. We got two coffees and two pastries. And all I have to say is that these pastries did not disappoint at all. Neither did the coffee. Definitely recommend this place. If you're looking for a quick stop coffee shop. Or if you're just looking for a bit with a cup of coffee.

Great food and coffee!! Got the traditional shakshuka - loved the flavors and really liked the cheese on top. Perfect balance of tang and spices. Nice ambience - can get very busy over the weekend. Quick service and friendly staff. Their latte was great. They have lots of pastries that looked really good too

I've been to multiple Tatte Bakery & Cafe locations and every single one has been cozy, inviting, and full of charm! We got the short rib grilled cheese which was delicious! Their housemade challah really hit the spot. It was just so light and crunchy. Also had the Chicken Pita which was beyond what I expected. Every bite was flavorful, balanced, and it was not heavy at all. Every single ingredient in there was just lovely and the bread itself was something I could definitely eat all day! Also had their red lentil soup paired with bread and wow! Just wow! It was a cold day and I just wanted soup but this soup really hit the park. It was creamy, velvety, and packed with spices that just made it so comforting on a cold day. We came back another time just for this soup! Definitely a great place for anytime of the day.

"I want to get back to my city by the bay" (Journey) Two days ago, we enjoyed our first visit to a Tatte Bakery so much that today we went to a different Tatte for breakfast. The location may have been different, but every other aspect of our visit was as excellent as our first encounter. The Back Bay neighborhood is a densely populated section of Boston crammed with residential, retail, and office buildings. Tatte was crowded- the ordering line never slowed down, and from our table we saw it expand toward the front door and never subside. The shop seemed a little larger than the one we visited on July 26th, but it was just as busy with plenty of worker bees filling drink and food orders, a steady stream of customers, a crowded dining room, and plenty of amazing food in the showcase and on the counter as we inched our way to the ordering station. Their menu and showcases were pretty much the same with breakfast/brunch orders, sandwiches, soups, shakshuka egg plates, bowls, pastries, brownies, cookies, cakes, desserts, breads, and 55 choices in the drip coffee, espresso, iced espresso, hot and iced tea, lattes, milk, juice, and sparkling drink families of beverages. We ordered a gorgeous Pistachio Croissant "Filled with house made pistachio filling, brushed with simple syrup, and topped with crumbled pistachio" and a Jerusalem Bagel (traditional soft, sweet Israeli pastry dipped in simple syrup and coated in sesame). Having visited two different Tattes within three days, we concluded that they are a fantastic and very affordable place.

Halloumi Sunny-Side Breakfast Sandwich with coffee.

So I was really surprised at how well this bakery is run, yet it retains a great amount of small business family like feel. Very cozy as I had breakfast on a chill morning journaling through Gods word. The coffee (black), had a nice flavor, as it should. The egg sandwich took all the attention though, like a great book, I couldn't put it down. The bread (challah roll) was the most perfect piece of bread and they paired it with this fantastic cheese (halloumi). It was somewhat epic. See photo and menu pics and try this place out. Also, they had calorie counts! Respect that.

I have always enjoyed eating at Tatte in DC so thought it would be a nice experience at this location in Boston. I enjoyed a hot plate of shaksuka and I like how a hot plate was provided for the cherry sour cheese pastry. Other than that, there are some things to note that I hope the establish will address in the near future. Seating is first come first serve, but the more concerning issue is that the staff insist you have to stand in line to order. I had a sprained ankle with a structured brace, this expectation is not accommodating to people with injuries or disabilities, it is not inclusive for people who cannot stand in line for a long time. I would have hoped that a waiter can at least help, but she said you must order in line and then get a table. Additionally, I was not happy to see the lack of bussing or cleaning of tables. Staff did not clean the tables consistently by the window, so I arrived to a seat and table with so many crumbs. I am only so frustrated because this location does not uphold to Tatte's fine dining experience, instead it was over cramped, somewhat stressful with orders being yelled out instead of provided to patrons, and overall cutting corners despite coming up as a expensive pastry shop.

One of my go to spots whenever I visit Boston. This past time I went I got their croissant sandwich with beef sausage, and it was delicious. I don't eat pork, so I love that there were other meat options. The egg was slightly overcooked, but otherwise, definitely a solid breakfast sammy. The service is always quick and I love the vibes inside. Definitely a nice place to catch up with friends or work/study.

Tatte is a chain bakery that started in Boston. This location is near the Arlington Green Line T stop. The ambiance is similar to other Tatte locations. It's good for groups of 2-3 and for getting work done. We got the pistachio croissant, almond croissant, and almond cherry scone. They were all kinda dry and also the barista shoved them in the box even though they didn't fit. Also, nothing was warmed.

Tatte is an northeast chain. We loved them in DC for quick, delicious, not bank breaking breakfasts. I was happy to see one just a few minutes away from our hotel. We actually did breakfast here two days in this trip. My boyfriend got the breakfast sandwich both times, he was a big fan of it. I did an egg plate with fritters and eggs one time and breakfast sandwich the other time. Both were good. They do a good job on their scrambled eggs. They have a large community table as well as other tables and a snack bar overlooking the street. On nice weather days, take advantage of their patio. Hope to see a Tatte on my next trip out here.

Italian Sub: $20 for a foot long, the meat was so plentiful it's almost overflowing, enough for two meals. The prisciutto was tender and juicy; the salami was firm and savory with a strong smokiness. Both are thinly sliced, so despite the thick stack, it was relatively easy for a bite. The provolone cheese was also generously portioned, with a robust yet not spicy flavor and a subtle nutty aroma, perfectly complementing the two meats. The olive oil and balsamic vinegar were particularly outstanding: mellow, tangy, and with a fruity aroma of grapes, key to the complex flavor profile. The lettuce, tomatoes, and onions were all fresh, especially the onions were refreshing and a little zingy, perfect for removing the greasiness. Unfortunately, I was worried about not being able to roll it back up properly and making it inconvenient to carry (which it actually happened), so I took it away and ate it at the office. You can taste the "corner-cutting"--the flavors aren't as bold as they used to be, and the sandwiches feel noticeably smaller even though the cost has increased exponentially - I mean $30 for a sammy?! Every search for…read morebreakfast spots mentioned Mike & Patty's as a must stop for the best breakfast sandwich you're going to get anywhere. Enough said! I'm a huge breakfast fanatic, especially a good breakfast sandwich or burrito. This is the original location that was started by two friends and has grown to multiple other locations since. We took an Uber here from our hotel. I imagine if you drive over here, parking will be a challenge. It's almost easy to miss. It sits on a corner of a brick building with just writing on the windows. In all my research I did not catch that it is the smallest restaurant in Boston at only 175 square feet. It's basically a room with most of the space taken by the tiny kitchen. There's also a little tiny ledge on the window with a couple of stools for those who may want to dine in. Customers including us took turns walking in and putting in our orders and then stepping out to make room for more people. It had a steady line the whole time we were there. Hours are limited from 7:30-2 so don't delay. Customer service was straight business, kind of the norm in Boston. Their menu is breakfast sandwiches, a couple of burritos and some lunch options like a turkey sandwich, BLT, or a Rueben. For sides, they have hashbrowns or a plain English muffin. For a small menu, they do have quite a few drink options like coffee, tea, juices, and different flavored milks including banana milk which I have never seen. For their food, they use high quality ingredients from local farms and purveyors and have their own bakery for their bread. My eyes fixated on the Breakfast Grilled Crack mainly for the name, but also all the ingredients looked tasty. It was quality eggs, bacon, four cheeses on sourdough bread. I went extra and added sausage to it as well. I also got OJ to wash it down. We realized our only option to eat comfortably was to go back to our hotel lobby to eat. Even with the travel time, the sandwich was nice and warm and the bread was still nice and crispy from the griddle. This sandwich was indeed one of the best breakfast sandwiches I have ever had. I almost felt guilty eating it because of how rich and cheesy it was. I would skip the hash brown next time. It did not travel well nor did it have anything special going on with it. Hands down one of my favorite meals of the trip that I would absolutely do again if I am in the area.

Sandwiches with an egg = breakfast right? My go-to is The Fancy: Vital Farms pasture-raised fried eggs, bacon, cheddar, smashed avocado, red onions, and house mayo on toasted Flourhouse multigrain. The ingredients are always fresh, and every bite is packed with flavor. Mmm Mmm Good! Ps...I eat it so fast every time I forget to take pics -- I just get too excited for it :)

I asked to have the vegetarian and delicious eggplant subbed in for the meat on one of the sandwiches and was promptly told no after our server checked with the kitchen. Sad. When we walked up around 7:30 pm, the outdoor seating on this beautiful day was already full. Good sign to start! Since it was a bit windy, we asked for an indoor table and were brought in immediately, no wait. To quench my thirst, I opted for a Storrow Jam libation- a blueberry, vodka, sparkling water, lemon flavored drink. Absolutely refreshing and well presented! My pal ordered their spin on a Cuban and swapped out the chips for the dill pasta side. He loved it so much that it was gone on minutes. Being a fan of ground meats, I opted for the Hajj, a ground lamb, tzatziki, Mediterranean style sandwich. It was well flavored and large, and came with a side salad. I shared the sandwich with my friend, but agreed that his crispy Cuban was a bit tastier. We ended the evening with a bread pudding topped with vanilla ice cream to share. Massive portions! We both enjoyed to our hearts' delight, and the one dessert could have easily been shared with a third person. Our wait staff was so pleasant- friendly and warm from the start. They really made this experience shine! This is quite a pricy spot in the heart of Boston, so be prepared to pay a pretty penny for sandwiches. However, the elegance of the food is up there and it's a unique experience to pick a meal from a handful of the top chefs.
