I thought this place was a pretty interesting option as it was a little different from the styles of eating establishments that we normally frequent. It was a good choice for us in this case because we were staying at the Even Hotel in Rockville. This restaurant was in the extensive commercial plaza adjacent to the hotel. Hence, it was a 2- or 3-minute walk out of the hotel entrance. While not readily obvious from Rockville Pike, it was easy for us to find. This place has French styling with respect to their menu offerings. They identify more specifically as French Fusion. The restaurant interior presented similar to that of a nicer American Bar/Restaurant (something like the Cheesecake Factory, for example, but not as massive). While the seating capacity was plentiful, it was fairly quiet on the Monday evening when we visited. Hence, there was no problem getting seated. Our server, Oliver, tended to us right away and did a good job taking care of us the entire time we were there. We had no complaints at all about the quality of the service and the timeliness of the food delivery. The menu featured several interesting options. My wife chose the Tartine Caprese Pesto dish. This included Mozzarella and Sliced Tomato on Toast covered with Pesto with a salad on the side. She was quite happy with this selection. I tried the Parisian Mushroom and Brie Omelet which also came with a Salad and a Waffle on the side as the bread. It was very tasty and quite filling. I should also mention that the complimentary French Bread with which we started was a nice touch. My wife had the Inconditionnel, which was a concoction with rum mixed with chocolate and hazelnut liqueurs and Orange Juice. I had a taste and thought it was pretty good. I tried the Sangria Rojo and was happy with that. The value was relatively reasonable for the type of place it was. With food, drink, tax and tip, our bill came to about $68. At $34 each, this seemed commensurate with the experience. If you fancy this sort of food, this is a good choice for a nice dinner in Rockville, a place full of restaurant choices. I wavered between a 3- and 4-star rating, but ended up with a four-star rating as they did quite a few things right.

We always enjoy going to Mosaic. Our server was very nice and attentive. I ordered the chicken salad on the waffle. It was so flavorful and it has grapes and nuts in it. I always like deconstructing it and eating the waffle with syrup as a dessert. The onion soup is very good. its broth is a little rich. Meaning heavy, but good the cheese and the cheese waffle were amazing. We had a nice time. It has a beautiful atmosphere. We definitely will go back.

My second time at Mosaic was so much better than the first. I had a fantastic time visiting on Bastille weekend. The restaurant was incredibly cute inside and decorated in French decorations. I absolutely loved our waiter (wished I remembered his name) - he was so nice and helpful. The food was phenomenal - sweet potato fries were crispy and sweet, and the waiter gave us chipotle ranch to accompany it at his suggestion which was awesome. He also accommodated my request for simple syrup for my iced coffee which was delicious and beautifully presented. they had oat milk too. These scrambled eggs blew me away - tasted so rich and yolky, unlike scrambled eggs I've ever had before. The french toast waffle was SO good - crispy and sweet. The chicken sausage was also delicious. My friend enjoyed her eggs benedict as well. Overall would definitely come back for their delicious eggs and waffles!

Absolutely love this place!!! The owners are phenomenal - they open up early for a group called Montgomery Women on the first Friday of every month and serve a prefix menu which is delicious including coffee/tea, a breakfast, and two beignets!!! Not just are they amazing humans but the food is divine!!! All of their French toast meals are finger licking good!!! I love the meal with chicken sausage, eggs, and French toast waffles...mmmmmmm... They have chai lattes in raspberry and vanilla - yum!!! And don't get me started on the alcoholic drinks and appetizers!! I love this place!!!

Not sure why the ratings are so low--this place definitely deserves more love! I had the WAFFLE FRENCH TOAST and wow... mind blown . A waffle made like French toast? Absolutely yes. Service was great overall. My spinach was a bit too salty at first, but they remade it quickly and without any hassle. Solid brunch spot...I'd absolutely recommend it!

Three of us went for brunch to check out what intrigued us from prior reviews. Unfortunately I feel we have mixed results especially when we each tried 3 different items. Service as soon as we walked in the door was great from the host who was gracious with personality plus. We received water right away and our waitress soon appeared & took drink orders. She gave us plenty of time to chat and look over the menu since we all had hard time deciding. Hubby ordered the scrambled eggs, bacon & waffles which he seemed to enjoy and ate everything on the plate. But later he mentioned that the texture of the eggs seemed different. I asked if he thought they were powdered & he thought maybe. Our friend ordered the salmon waffle sandwich. It was 3 squares with a potato hash patty. She ate only 1 of the squares, said it was good, but that the waffle was too hard, like it sat under food warmer too long. I decided to order the giant chicken waffle sandwich. It was definitely large, wasn't easiest thing to eat. I think my expectations for this sandwich was more than the result. Presentation was impressive, but flavor was lacking and I experienced the same hard waffle which didn't make eating the sandwich enjoyable with hard crunchy "bread". Restaurant has 2 unisex bathrooms that were fairly clean. Service by our waitress could have been more attentive as we did not see her after we were served and drink refills would have been appreciated. Hubby said he'd like to return, I wouldn't mind going back to try a traditional waffle since they seem to be heavily waffle oriented. Maybe return for a dinner menu opportunity before making final determination.

Second time I've been to Mosaic Cuisine for my birthday and both very good experiences! My aunt and I were the first at the restaurant (they open around 10 AM). You can choose between breakfast or lunch options. We've enjoyed their salads (you can add protein and would recommend salmon) and I've also ordered their mosaic breakfast. Our waiter was sweet, and very attentive. He came to our table to refill water quite regularly and also brought me a surprise birthday plate of strawberry waffles. It's a nice but casual restaurant. Very clean and plenty of seating. Would recommend coming here again.

I came in to just order a chai latte to go. They directed me to the bar area and promptly served me a delicious and sweet chai latte. The chai latte is made with powder. I was so impressed with the beautiful interior of the restaurant, I decided to stay for dinner. The menu has a good variety and I really enjoyed a chef special, the sweet potato soup. My soup and the French onion soup came with a small waffle piece. I shared the Giant (they're not kidding) Panko Waffle Chicken Sandwich with my husband. It came with yummy sweet potato fries and was delicious. The slaw on it gave it a good, unique taste. The service was wonderful!!! The host and waitress were very attentive and kind. Our bread, soup and entree were served with perfect timing. This restaurant is in between other business and there is parking in the front of the restaurant. I accidentally tried to enter the back door and it has a polite sign that directed me around the corner to the front of the restaurant.

Firstly, the place is wasn't busy. The food was decent not too expensive. The portions were large. The ambiance was nice. There was a convenient parking lot with quick turnaround. The service was excellent.

Thursday 10/24/24 I had been highly anticipating this brunch spot for while and that's mainly due to their waffles. I made a takeout order via uber eats and got the waffle French toast $15.50, steamed Peking duck rolls $15, and the giant panko fried chicken waffle sandwich $20. Although it was a takeout order, the little experience of service was still solid as they made sure that I was all good to go. - The duck rolls were my favorite of the 3 items I had as they were good. They come with 12 rolls and a teriyaki sauce (they're better without the sauce). - The waffle French toast was very underwhelming. They had to have been undercooked as they were wet, soggy, and overly eggy. - The fried chicken waffle sandwich was my most anticipated item and it was also the biggest disappointment. The waffles were very dry (tasted like a pork rind) and the fried chicken was extremely thin. The sauce that comes with it was decent but the fries could've benefited with seasoning. Overall, my high expectations for this spot were not meant at all. The duck rolls are good but the waffle French toast and fried chicken waffle sandwich could be ALOT better.

Great breakfast cafe, decent spacing throughout, super busy mornings could get a little cramped but our experience was comfortable. Servers were polite and accommodating, and food was delivered pretty quick. All our breakfast dishes were great, waffle theme was fun and tasty, coffee was good and the fresh juices were great as well. Overall awesome experience, will definitely go back and give lunch a try!

I've been dining here since I was in High School - trying to impress my dates - and 35 years later it's even better than I remember. I even got engaged here 15 years ago. The service here is just unequalled. I walked through the front door and was immediately greeted by name - they just know somehow (magic). And the server became a good friend by the time we left. The ambiance takes you back to old-world France - simply gorgeous. The food was amazing as usual. I had the Beef Wellington with foie gras and it was cooked perfectly. The wine was amazing. More than ever, L'Auberge is not just a restaurant, it's a magical experience worthy of being a culinary destination. Loved it and can't wait to go back.

I love the old world aesthetic of L'Auberge Chez Francois. It is intimate, elevated, classic and offers many diners Alsatian meals to remember. I used my hiring bonus to take a new hire here. We both enjoyed steaks. It's been awhile but I loved the French Onion Soup and whatever fabulous steak they were offering that season. I just took a look at the current menu and if I was ordering this season, the Chateaubriand de l'Auberge - for two - is looking like the winner. I think they have their own garden which the vegetables with the steak come with. We went in the evening, so I didn't get to see the lush gardens pictured on their website. And I am sure the béarnaise and truffle sauce are divine. I might have enjoyed a hot soufflé here. The current soufflé options, aside from the dessert tray, are Grand Marnier, Chocolate and Raspberry. Where else can you find 3 variations of soufflé? For that matter, where can you enjoy soufflés, at all? Definitely check their event list for the special wine dinners and musical events at www.laubergechezfrancois.com. Happy Hours are on Wednesdays and Thursdays from 4:30 to 6pm. At time of writing, their famed Garlic bread and salads range between $6 to $10 and small plates range between $15 and $20. Thankfully, the runner who seated us, (a kind and helpful gentlemen who got a separate tip) noticed and got Daniel to visit our table. My gin martini was excellent and the water was cold. We ordered several plates, which arrived rather quickly. The homemade hummus with the carrots and pickled onions was fantastic. We'd take creamy and delicious hummus like that any day. The deviled eggs were wonderful and came with an extra kick thanks to the jalapeno. Gnocchi with parmesan, carrots, and asparagus was creamy, comforting, and filling. The lamb over hummus, with their rich homemade gravy, rivaled any amazing lamb dish I had anywhere. The portions were phenomenal. I have been to places that give half as much with the same prices. The chef and kitchen staff are incredible. We'll definitely return to try new dishes but we hope the service is much improved.

The food itself was very good--I ordered the filet mignon, which was cooked well and was the highlight of my meal. Unfortunately, the service left a lot to be desired. When ordering drinks, the waiter specifically asked whether we wanted salt on the rim for our margaritas. We said yes, but the drinks arrived without salt. When we politely asked to have it added, the response felt dismissive and came across as having an attitude. More concerning was how my dairy allergy was handled. I mentioned multiple times that I have a dairy allergy and specifically requested no parmesan on my fries. The waiter seemed to have difficulty understanding the request. When my filet mignon arrived, it was topped with a sauce that I suspected contained dairy. I brought it up to the waiter, who confidently insisted the sauce did not contain dairy and was simply a peppercorn sauce. After I asked him to verify with the kitchen, he returned and informed me that the dish would need to be remade without the sauce. For an upscale restaurant, I expected much better allergy awareness and communication from the staff. Food allergies should be taken seriously, and servers should be knowledgeable about menu ingredients or willing to verify information before assuring guests that a dish is safe. To add to the disappointment, our party was charged an approximately 22% automatic gratuity without it ever being mentioned by the server. While I understand that many restaurants add gratuity for large groups, it should be clearly communicated beforehand rather than discovered when the bill arrives.

Ample seating, has an upper level balcony for two tables for couples looking for a more intimate dinner experience, and a pianist playing lovely music in the background. Now the food - food is good. Simple ingredients, not too much but enough that I wouldn't say the food is bland. For appetizers I ordered the tagliatelle option and my fiancé ordered the meatball option - both were delicious. For dinner I ordered the mushroom ravioli dish and requested salmon to be added for protein, and it was very yummy and filling. Waiters are so friendly and kind, and just a warm place to enjoy a lovely dinner. We ordered the soufflé dessert and I personally wasn't a fan, the flavoring was great but I don't like the consistency so instead while my fiancé ate that I got vanilla icecream on a cookie shell (substituted the assortment of sorbet that it originally comes with) and I enjoyed that very much.

I noticed that some of the tables have been changed from square to rectangular, making the dining room feel more open and spacious. Each table is now decorated with a small lamp, and artwork adorns the walls--simple updates that add warmth and enliven the ambiance. Another noticeable change is the packaging for the entrée I ordered. It has been updated from a square container to a rice bowl, which I much prefer. The previous packaging reminded me of a school cafeteria, while the new presentation feels more appealing. During my last visit, they also offered lunch specials, which no longer appear to be available. That was a bit disappointing, although it may have been a promotion when they first opened. Their menu is somewhat atypical for a local Thai restaurant, with offerings such as tacos, burgers, and sandwiches. I was in the mood for my usual favorites--Pad Thai and Pad See Ew--but neither is on the menu. I ordered a Thai iced tea and the Kao Mun Gai Tod. The iced tea was good, but I would have preferred a bolder tea flavor. It seemed a bit diluted, possibly from too much ice. The chicken, however, was crispy and flavorful, and the rice was cooked perfectly--tender rather than dry or chewy. Our server was attentive throughout the meal. She checked on us regularly and promptly cleared our table, providing excellent service.
