Came here after work the other day with friends. Busy friendly bar and grill vibe. Fish and chips were crispy but small. Burger was delicious and nice option of getting tater tots that were crispy but greasy. Wedge salad was huge. No drink menu, just know what to ask for. Service was extremely slow and had to ask for things multiple times but was often forgotten by our server. Go for the food, just don't be in a time crunch

Our first time to Tavern Grille! The restaurant was clean and service was excellent and waitress was very attentive. Bathrooms were also in excellent condition. My daughter and I shared the grilled cheese sandwich with tots and both were great. We ordered the meatballs and the onion rings as appetizers and they were also delicious. My husband ordered the chicken fried steak sandwich with fries. Fries were good but he didn't even finish the sandwich and this is a man who can usually finish 2 meals so it says a lot. He said it just wasn't to his liking especially with the gravy added. The ranch served with the onion rings was also not a traditional ranch. We were told it was basil ranch? It had the consistency of mayonnaise though and we didn't care for the taste. We would have liked a regular ranch option. All in all it was a good experience.

How have I slept on Tavern Grill. Stopped in on a Friday night, a non happy hour night, and the place was packed. 2 seats were found at the bar and service was swift. There isn't a massive beer selection, no list, but tastes were provided happily and without even asking for it. Some crunchy and perfectly salty tater tots were ordered to go with the drinks and what was served was a massive pile of absolutely perfect tots, served along side was an excellent beer cheese and a house made ranch. Perhaps the ranch will grow on me, it was fresh and herbaceous and a far cry from a prefab bottle variety. Although not my favorite ranch dressing it was just fine and it was fresh and served with pride. Service at this busy bar was kind and welcoming, the lady that served us is a real pro and might be amongst the best bartenders in town. There's a lively patio restrooms were in perfect order and, the place has an overall excellent vibe.

I hadn't been here in a few years, but hubby and I had to run an errand in Menifee and stopped in for lunch. Oh lordy it was good. We shared the club sandwich. It is on foccacia bread and has a crispy piece of bread in the middle like a huge crouton, giving it crunch and texture. It is amazing. The tater tots were extra done, with more tot than tater. My husband loved them that way. This is probably the best club sandwich I've ever had, and its huge. Definitely shareable. We still took a quarter of it home. It's on Antelope, near Scott Rd, so really is in Menifee, not Murrieta. Wish it was closer to us, but we'll be back for sure.

Casual sports bar with food. They had a great selection of draft and bottled beer to choose from. We came around lunch, and the waitress was friendly and attentive. I got the half sandwich with fries for $9.99, which was delicious; not the mention, the portion was very generous.

We had a party of nine and when we entered we were given a long table to sit at. Soft music was playing in the background and the place was pretty crowded. I ordered the club sandwich which was huge and my wife and I shared. I also ordered the bowl is chili and it was the best I've ever had in a restaurant! The menu is new and the service was excellent. Totally recommend this great tavern.

We've never been here, but the food looked good online so we decided to stop by. We walked in and waited for someone to show us to a table or were we just supposed to sit anywhere? After an awkward few minutes, finally the lady behind the bar said, just sit anywhere. Hmm, okay. Then another guy came by to ask us for our drink order. Then he came back a bit later with our drinks and gave us some more time to choose our menu items. He came back and took our orders without writing anything down. That never gets old and is always impressive. Eventually our food came out as new patrons were arriving every couple of minutes. The guys at the bar were really into the football games playing on the multiple screens. It wasn't annoying, but they were clearly into it. We ate our food for 2 adults and 2 kids and paid around $60, including tip. It was good, or maybe we were just hungry. Maybe we'll try it again, but it definitely wasn't bad.

Second visit here. And second time impressed. It's an upscale dive bar if you ask me! (I know that doesn't make a lot of sense). The service is great, once you get seated. It's kind of awkward when you first walk in if nobody is there to greet you and you're trying to figure out if you seat yourself or not. On both visits, someone came up fairly quickly and told us to seat ourselves, so not a big deal. The food is pretty great! So far I've had: Pastrami Reuben 5/5: Absolutely delicious. House pasta 4/5: rich and decadent, almost a little too rich! By the way, this will feed 2-3 people. The club 3.5/5: I don't like rosemary bread. If you do, you'll give it higher marks. It's huge! Also feeds 2-3 people. Caprese 4/5: great ratio and fresh! Avoid the southwest egg rolls - not my fav. The food is very good, as is the service. Glad I live close! See you soon.

Initially I had reservations for Pepe's in canyon lake. I made them for 30 people two days before my birthday. Today I called to confirm my reservation & they tell me they can't accommodate my party nor can they give me an explanation why. They didn't even call to tell me this, so thank goodness I didn't have everyone drive out there. With less than two hours notice I had to find a restaurant to accommodate that many people. I called around and didn't have much luck until I called this tavern. I spoke with Craig the owner and he was wonderful. He didn't have enough staff to take my party at first, but he took my number down and called in some reinforcements and made it work. I truly had the best birthday because of them. The service was wonderful, the staff were wonderful & I even got a free birthday shot (even though I don't drink :p ) Our main server was Aaron (wonderful guy) I didn't catch the other servers that helped with this night, but they were all so wonderful. I highly recommend this place for the wonderful food, service, and atmosphere! read more

We enjoyed the food a lot. I ordered The Club with a side bowl of chili (which did not taste homemade but out of a can) and Hubby ordered the Beef Dip and upgraded to the onion rings which were beer battered- our favorite! Be careful the portions are big and even one dish would have been enough to share. The atmosphere is a typical bar set up with TVs and a juke box playing anything from country to rock and roll W found it to be kind of loud and echoey. Staff was very attentive and food came out hot. Overall it was a very casual and pleasant experience! read more

Pretty good. Loved the burger I got and their fries were great too. A warning, their in house ranch is more of a bleu cheese... So if you like ranch and don't like bleu cheese, you'll be in for an unpleasant surprise. read more

First timer. We ordered take out. Everything was very good. Family all enjoyed what they ordered. The wings could have had a bit more seasoning but they were fried perfectly. We tried this place out about 2 weeks ago for lunch. The food was delicious and our sandwiches were so big they could've easily been shared between 2 people. The service was great. The only reason I give it 4 stars is because none of the servers wore masks and tables were quite close together. Maybe they're all vaccinated and that's why they don't wear masks, but that's still risky considering how easily omicron is spread. Hopefully they are all vaccinated and that was the reason. read more

I'm going to address the taking away of one star. It hurts my heart to even do so. Their ranch is awful! It's just so full of dill it's not edible and I don't know how they call it ranch. Please please fix it. Ok, now WHATS UP! One of our absolute local favorites! We've been here almost every night of the week and even our teenage kids enjoy the setting and the food! Our favorites are the weekends of course when we don't have the kiddos! Get there early because this place is that good! Gets full quickly. Full bar great beer selection (they've just added a few new on tap) and the food is great! Portions are huge! We usually share and are so full. Music is always good and if you want a change, the have TouchTunes. You can pay for music. Karaoke night is super fun and the staff even get into it! Loud as expected especially since it's a cozy tavern. The staff is amazing, always see the same faces and they're super attentive. read more

Food is just okay, over greasy and fried on majority of items and it's really a limited menu. Service seems to cater towards their regulars and you can either wait a long time for someone to acknowledge even when at bar or leave. Last time there actually left when trying to order food to go as employees were more engaged in talking to each other then checking on customers read more

Went once so far. They messed up on the Pastrami apparently because I was told they're remaking it. It came out but it was lacking flavor. After we asked for the Russian Dressing, only then did it taste better. The sandwich barely had any on there, as if they ran out and decided to send it anyways. The fries were also super cold, like they were sitting while the sandwiches were being remade. Or perhaps served old fries from the heat lamp. Asked them to be remade...or made and it came out perfect. Finally the meal was right. Think they were having an off night, but they totally didnt give us a hard time and resolved issues immediately. The server was super nice and he explained a lot of stuff in regards to allergens I had immediately, with concern. Service plus food after correction led to a 4/5. It would have been 5/5 if everything went right the first time, but I anticipate we will be back soon! :) read more

I wished during sports events they offered hot dogs! Some many favorites of inexpensive food out there but they offer the same. The food is very good but never a special! Too bad.., I think they could use something different on special events. Or special drink specials/beer specials... I guess their happy with the same clientele and don't need the clientele I would love to see! read more

The biscuits were rock hard, the slider buns were completely dried out, and the bacon was burnt. The pancakes were stale and hard and the pasta/macaroni salad had been sitting out in an uncooled bowl with no lid. I couldn't even finish a plate because of the poor quality. Paying $160 for four people to eat a meal of this quality was completely unacceptable. I've had much better food McDonald's than this. Had the food quality at least matched the price, I likely never would have left this review. This ruined our family celebration, and although this was the first time we ever tried this place, we will not be returning to here again.

Low lights, tables all around, a cool bar with TVs for sports, and pool tables. The jukebox was playing (TouchTunes) and it was just a chill vibe all around. They also have a stage that looks to be set up for a DJ with a dance floor. I bet it goes off on a Friday night. Ordered their well blanco tequila and it was good! They offer small pizzas, jerky and popcorn for snacks. We ordered a pepperoni pizza and it was pretty good! Jacquelyn was our bartender and was friendly and attentive. The interior is trying to be real hip and it sort of works in a positive way but a little bit of that modern gauche. You know, kind of like Z gallery meets mid-century with a slight Lichtenstein tribute with a cartoonish flavour. It does work though, and carries to the exterior or the exterior carries to the interior? With the limitations of a strip mall it's a little bit hard to put lipstick on a pig. But they've executed it well and it's inviting and a departure from the norm. I'm excited to get there soon.

I got it to go so I could enjoy it at home. While I was waiting (I had arrived very close to the pickup time), I noticed an employee standing next to the driver's side of a car talking to the driver, who appeared to be an acquaintance. I could clearly overhear the conversation, and the employee was saying things that I found completely inappropriate to be discussing while standing right in front of the restaurant, even if it was technically in the parking lot. Two minutes before my pickup time, I went to the to-go window and received my food. When I got home, I realized my rolls didn't include the house butter. Whatever! It's not the end of the world. But worth noting as you would think this would be standard to provide. What became really problematic was the meal itself. I ordered my steak well done, but it arrived bleeding and wasn't even close to medium well. Why ask how I want my steak cooked if you aren't going to cook it that way? The shrimp was cold and incredibly salty. The potato? How do you get a potato wrong? Well, somehow they managed...it was stale and overly salty too. The broccoli I don't even think was steamed for more than a minute before you gave it "seasoning". The entire meal was awful and for $30?! Hahahaha I guess really the joke was on me for paying such an absurd amount but I really was expecting some quality somewhere. It just wasn't there all at. We still have money left on our gift card, but we'll be giving it away because we won't be coming back. I didn't even bother calling to complain because, judging by the quality of the food, I don't think a complaint would make any difference. I added a photo of my "well done steak".
