After a very eventful day of shopping, this was the perfect end! Absolutely loved the food and the atmosphere of Tavern in the Square. Phenomenal waitstaff and hostess who got us seated right away and properly taken care of. The Sriracha Honey wings were some of the best that I have ever had, a perfect flavor combination and very spicy indeed! The burgers were enormous! We had the spicy burger with jalapeños, and it hit the spot just right. The nachos were nice as well, especially with the chicken and guacamole. Food and service were mediocre. I've given this place 3 chances the 1st was in Dedham a couple of months after they opened, it was super busy the food was just ok. The service was good. Next I went to the 1 in Wrentham, it was busy food was not good. We went back to the 1 in Dedham and it wasn't very busy we were there 1/2 hour no service our waiter came to take our order and then give us our check that's it. The food was not good. Had a really good lunch at tavern the other day. Sat at the bar and got the bayou chicken pasta which was delicious. The pasta was cooked to a perfect Al dente and the Parmesan cream sauce was on point. The blackened chicken had an incredible spice to it but not too overwhelming. We also got the fish and chips which was cooked to perfection and not too heavily breaded. My boyfriend is picky about his slaw, but gave tavern's a thumbs up. Took a trip to watch some football and have dinner at the Tavern in the Square. This is a nice, spacious sports bar with plenty of TVs to watch your favorite team. However, there is a gap between having them put your favorite team on the television near you and navigating the channels. There's a good variety of drinks to choose from, a bit on the pricey side. They have a decent choice of appetizers with the pretzel dip appetizer the food of choice today. The pretzels were warm and soft, the cheese was a good add on. You can't go wrong with these. We ordered bowls for dinner adding salmon to one of them. The bowls are very generous in size so much so we have to bring our leftovers with us. Nice variety of fresh ingredients with the added salmon cooked spot on. Lastly our server erica was absolutely terrific. She came by frequently enough but not too often to check on us. The value is in the appetizers. Came here after shopping at Wrentham. It's probably the best place to eat in the area. Those food trucks around the outlet are extremely over priced for mediocre food. We started off with beer. Wormtown Be Hoppy is a good local IPA. It was not bitter and was actually refreshing for summer and pairs well with the food. Great recommendation from our waitress and she also gave recommendations on foods. For appetizer, it was kind of annoying when we ordered nachos and wings and was told that they ran out. I would expect that a sports bar type restaurant would keep their popular bar foods like wings and nachos in stock. We ended up going with the corn flake chicken tenders and Southwest tots. They were both great and I recommend them. We got the tenders in honey sriracha, which was great. Loved the combination of sweet, spicy, and crunchy from the corn flake coating. It is served with ranch to neutralize the spice. The tots were flavorful with the bacon, small coating of chipotle ranch, cheese, zest of lime, corn, and cilantro. Recommended! For main dish, we got the fish + chip and the sirloin steak tips. The fish + chips were alright but you get a small fish on top of a bunch of fries and filler stuff like pickles and coleslaw. It doesn't feel like it should be $21 but inflation I guess. The sirloin steak tips were also not worth it. It was 5 small pieces of steak tips (picture was taking with wide-angle so the steaks look bigger than they actually are) and the flavor was not even that great. It is a bourbon tamari marinade, which sounds better than it actually is. The filler stuff made up most of the plate. They really stack the mash potatoes and broccoli to make up for the small amount of meats they gave. The mash potatoes was dry and needed gravy. The way it is was also bland all by itself. The brocolli were overcooked and mushy and also bland. They could at least flavor them. I was not impressed and would not recommend. Overall, I would come back for the appetizers. They are way more interesting than the main entrees, in my opinion. The main entrees, you are pretty much overpaying for bland filler stuff. I recommend only coming here for appetizers, in hopes that they don't run out on the good stuff. We had a good waitress so I had no problems with service here. Hope that helps. read more

The restaurant at Wrentham Outlets was packed at 4pm on the Saturday of a hot 4th of July weekend! 40 min wait for a table of 6, but luckily, there were a few seats at the bar. Then our table became available after only about 20 min! Started off with the Pineapple Mocktail Refresher because I was so hot, I needed something to guzzle. It was cold and delicious with a great fruity flavor. My next drink was the Strawberry Rose Sangria, which was equally refreshing. Ordered the chicken quesadilla, which has a nice crunchy exterior, lots of chicken and peppers inside. The salsa it came with had a little kick to it! I also ordered the wings which were solid, hot and freshly made. However, not as crispy as I like. The flavor of the Buffalo wing sauce was good but did not taste like classic Buffalo wing sauce. Still worth it. My friend enjoyed her burger and the nachos order is huge. Our server, Lindsay, was spectacular, super attentive and welcoming, even when our 4 teenaged daughters showed up after she had already presented us with the check. Love it! This place is everything you want from an American eatery with drinks and grub. The food is slightly elevated in quality from basic American (so a bit less greasy). I was able to get the quinoa bowl and sub some crispy fried chickpeas for the cheese at no cost. It can sometimes be hard to find good vegan options and while that bowl was probably the only vegan entrée, it was delicious! There were so many textures and ingredients that I don't always have at home, meaning it didn't taste like something I could just throw together on my own. The rose sangria is also delicious! One of the best drinks I've had recently. It is very expensive at $40 per carafe (which came out to about 4 glasses), but it's worth a try regardless. Very good however when the food arrived, I asked the runner for salt, pepper, steak sauce, and butter, which I asked my server for when I ordered the steak. He never returned. I asked the server for the second time for those items, she showed up only with drawn butter that was disgusting and never did return with the salt and pepper and steak sauce. $33 or something I paid for that steak so disappointing I couldn't get salt and steak sauce. This spot deserves a 4 because their service is great but the drinks are even BETTER. If you are a fan of rose, I highly suggest you try the strawberry rose sangria. It's undefeated. There are enough TVs to keep any sports fan entertained. The food does the job while catching a vibe. Lastly, the music isn't too loud, you can enjoy a nice conversation with your date or friend. My family and I have been to Tavern in the Square a few times before but it had been a while and this was our first time at this location in Wrentham. We were so happy to see they had opened up there and had a great experience as we usually do at other Tavern in the Squares. Their outdoor seating is really nice and even though it was a rainy day, it still worked out with the makeshift "windows" hanging around the area. Our waitress was really friendly and was able to provide us with plastic disposable silverware when we asked for it. I ordered a mango iced tea, which was delicious by the way, and just a classic burger with fries. Nothing crazy but I still really enjoyed it. The fries were really good. My parents both really liked their meals as well. My mom ordered the fish and chips and it looked delicious! Definitely would try that next time! Erin, our server, was friendly, efficient, and went over and above the call of duty, finding out information regarding when the Tavern in the Square in our town will be opening. The macaroni and cheese with bacon was creamy and delicious, although a bit salty. The appetizing quinoa bowl, an amazing melding of roasted beets, sweet potatoes, broccoli, avocado, goat cheese, etc. was as tasty as it looked. He was visibly goofing off with the other waitress staff either out in the open or behind the see through glass wall that we were seated next to! I watched as the manager had to come over and tell the waitstaff what they should be doing when not actively waiting on a table. He also disappeared for long stretches including for the period after he took my credit card. We should have known at the start when my partner asked for water. Most places I have been they bring both people water but not here. I didn't get any water nor was asked and my partners was room temp with no ice. He asked for ice water and was brought a plastic cup of ice to put into the water he had been given and never received a refill. We had no silverware or napkins until after he brought our appetizer out and only a second before we asked. About that bill... somehow the waiter managed to screw that up too and had to charge my card twice. I am not sure if this particular waiter is just not cut out for service or if management doesn't do a great job of training but I found myself wishing they had those kiosks like at Yardhouse or Applebees so I wouldn't have to interact with the waitstaff at all. read more

Just got takeout. 38.00 (plus tip$ for two steak and avocado salads. Brought home and ZERO avocado. There's also approximately 5 kernels of corn and 6 black beans. All this is, is over priced romaine lettuce. I've had this salad at the Cranston location a few times & this didn't even come close. This also isn't the first time we've had issue with this location (lukewarm food, nachos that quite frankly didn't look like nachos). I think we are done with location.
