I would give this 0 stars if I could. This place has the worst customer service I have ever experienced. I have been going to this place for months because it is the closest local sports bar to where I am living, and the service is consistently terrible. The waitresses always look super annoyed by your presence. This is a "sports bar" and 2 of the last times I went they had soccer games on every single TV when there was elite 8 March Madness games going on. When the waitress was asked to change the channel to CBS, she replied by saying "We don't have CBS", which is an insult to my intelligence because I've been there with CBS on. There must be 12 TVs in this place, 12 of them are showing the SAME SOCCER GAME, and when I asked for 1 of them to show March Madness they could not be troubled to make this accommodation. While I admit this should have been my last time visiting this establishment, my friends and I foolishly went back because as I said, it is the only sports bar that is not a massive inconvenience to get to. When my friends and I walked in and asked for a table, the waitress replied with "I hope you guys brought your IDs because last time they were fake". Keep in mind, we have been going 1-2 times a month since about November and have happily showed our IDs every time we were there, and are multiple years over legal drinking age. Despite this confuddling interaction we still decided to sit down and when asked to change the channel to TNT (a Marquee NBA game, Bucks/Nets was on, and the TVs were mostly showing Spring Training Baseball), she replied by saying "We don't have TNT", which was too much for us to take. We happily got up and left and went to the next closest sports bar which was a massive inconvenience for us but still worth it because this place did not deserve our business. This place does a lot of things right and it is a shame that it gets overshadowed by its insulting displays of "customer service". We've been here 7 or 8 times now and I have to say the food is absolutely delicious every single time. They have anything from your typical bar food, to filet mignon (which is always cooked to perfection!) The service is always very good and the staff are extremely pleasant. The prices are very reasonable, and on the lower side. Quality all around is awesome! It's a hidden gem and I'm glad we gave it a shot! This is our go to spot now! read more

Once I entered the front door, we were greeted by a smiling waitress and were seated immediately. The service was prompt and food was awesome. I've been to the Tavern on several occassions and have never been disappointed. I recently went to lunch with my parents and had a great experience. There were only two waitresses that afternoon and there was a large party of 12-14 people, so we were concerned that our service would suffer...NOT SO...the two gals "tag-teamed" the entire time and with the help of a great runner, they made us (and seemingly the other guests) very happy. Our food was great and we had a nice table by the window overlooking the river (it was a little too chilly for outside seating unfortunately.) Been a frequent customer for close to five years, been here when it's packed and quiet, World Series, Super Bowl, World Cup, College,NFL football days and NASCAR in addition to karaoke nights. Loud and been the only ones yelling at the multiple tvs. Tonight albeit the mussels had to be sent back but came back better than ever, was a relatively quiet bar, call ahead , left another local bar to come watch our team and the manager comes over and says pipe down. Really ? Was not bothering anyone. Everyone else was on the other side and besides it's a Sports pub!!! Really. I dropped in here on a cloudy Fall day for the first time and was seated by the large back windows that overlooked pretty foliage. What a pleasant surprise! The crab cake appetizer was nicely prepared and presented with an unexpectedly large leafy salad. That was followed by the excellent special of the day, a cajun shrimp fajita dish. It was served on cast iron plate sizzling hot and the spicing was done well. The service was attentive without being overbearing. Overall, this unexpected find of a restaurant is one that I expect to return to several more times, especially to explore some of the other dishes on their more extensive menu. It definitely is worthy of further exploration! read more

Phenomenal little pub in Norwalk, CT. I went here by accident and loved it so much I made a second trip back that same day intentionally. Excellent UK style Fish N' Chips. If you Futbol or Football, either way, they got you covered on game day. This little gem of a place is affordable with a great menu of pub food, gourmet entrees and delicious deserts. I had a very frightening experience with my family last weekend at Tavern on Seven. Upon walking into the restaurant, I asked for a table of 6 and the bartender was very unwelcoming. After being seated, the waitress took our order and her ability as a server was extremely limited. She forgot numerous drinks as well as forgot numerous appetizers. After our dinner meals came, my burger was undercooked. I returned it and that is when things got stupid. After waiting 20 minutes for my burger, my entire table completed their meals. We tried to order some more drinks and was never given them. My mom approached the bartender who was doing absolutely nothing and asked him about where our cocktails were. He very rudely replied, 'I am working on them,' which he clearly was not. Things escalated when the bartenders rude conduct towards our table continued and turned into a shouting match between one of my guests and the bartender. We just told our server to please give us the check so we can leave. After reviewing the bill, the burger that never came and the drinks and appetizers that never came were all on the bill. About 10 minutes later the owner showed up and was ruder than the bartender. He screamed and was very loud and verbally abusive towards us. He would not even hear our complaints which were numerous. I believe this owners foulness and disrespect for his clientele is embedded in the work culture at this restaurant. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. Service was so terrible. Go to Little Pub down the street. We came to watch the game and so we were going to be there for awhile. Once we were given food they came by every 20 minutes at best. Our server LAURA was very rude as well whenever she did occasionally come around. It was karaoke night so I don't know if it was the fact we weren't locals or what but all waitresses just flat out ignored us. Our group collectively won't be back. Located in a very convenient, busy area. I've been here several times, it's a decent place to grab drinks, dinner or lunch when you're on Route 7. The parking situation can be annoying, they have a small lot. You can sit inside or on the outside patio when it's nice out. The food is decent, nothing to rave about but it's not that bad either. Little place but very friendly and the food was really good. Generous portions and very tasty. I had the Smoked Pork Chop and it was almost 1&1/4" thick and very tender. The sides of sauteed veggies and mashed sweet potatoes were better than expected for a bar & grill. My wife's order of Chicken & Arugula Salad was great! The chicken was crispy underneath a huge portion of salad with chunks of tomatoes and mozzarella. If you're traveling down Main, I'd recommend stopping by for a good meal and a cold drink. read more

I hate to give this place one star because it's a local establishment and I want to support them. After coming here several times, I've had enough. Once we came when their kitchen was closed with ten friends and we couldn't bring in outside food. We tried to order from them but they insisted their kitchen was closed. If we're eating outside food which isn't competing with your kitchen because it is closed, we're going to stay longer and eat the food and buy your drinks which HELPS your bottom line. This place positions itself as a football (soccer) pub and to their credit, there is plenty of club paraphernalia adorning the walls in an attempt to create a football atmosphere. However, those efforts are utterly wasted by the bartender who seems to detest the game and the fans that enjoy it. When politely asked by many clients to raise the volume during the England - Italy World Cup (!) game today he refused saying people would be talking over it anyways, and it was at such a level that no one could hear the stadium or the commentary. When my friend joked that part of the World Cup atmosphere is to hear the stands, the bartender rudely suggested that my friend go off to Brazil. There are very few ways to screw up when your entire job is to serve a few beers and not ruin the game but this guy managed. Never watching another game here again. read more

I've been coming to this place for 5 years and usually just order grilled chicken. I don't eat the bread and figured there is no need to waste it. I've never had a problem until last week when the new bartender was confused by my order and when I went to pick it up some guy at the bar tells me I can't just order that....umm, excuse me? I can't order chicken!?!?!? Ok, I guess that's the last time I visit your restaurant. There are tons of other places to eat in the area and I bet they have grilled chicken. I'll spend my $$ somewhere else. Terrible customer service and now it makes sense most of the staff has left. This guy is a jerk and doesn't know how to run a restaurant. The service was still good, they handled our surprise group of 16 people without any trouble (if the staff was annoyed with us they didn't show it, even if we deserved it). Awesome little American bar, super popular with the locals! Boneless wings are breaded similarly to chicken cutlets & they're great! Salads are large, filling & tasty. Burgers are excellent & every time we get one of their daily specials, it's on the money! The servers are also attentive & the drinks are very reasonably priced. The parking lot is a bit small though, & when it's full there isn't really another place to park. Other than that, highly recommended spot! read more

I was there today to watch the football games and they couldn't get the dish to work. It was intensely frustrating. People showed up with Bears jerseys, Browns jerseys, Bills jerseys (you get the idea) only to be sorely disappointed because the management couldn't get their act together and make sure the dish worked ahead of time. As a bar owner, you've got to know why people are coming in on Sundays in the fall, especially opening weekend, and especially when it is advertised all over your walls (inside and outside). I took the initiative to call DirecTV (I didn't see anyone at the bar on the phone with them), and they said they were having no widespread satellite/reception issues in the area, and that someone from the bar would have to call.
