Good spot to go for drinks and bar food. Had a beautiful day out on the patio with umbrellas for shade. Has been a reliable place to go nearby, but service can vary with the day.

Loved it here. I went with a work group. This was actually my second time here. First time was back in 2022 for a Christmas party. Anyway, We participated in a bar crawl on 2/17/24 for Jess. It was nice music. They also did a raffle! The service was fast. The place was packed. I kept ordering the grapefruit basil martini aka the duchess. It was really good. The staff was polite and useful. They had great wings also. I'll be back to try those loaded waffle fries one day lol.

The food here is pretty good. Burgers are delicious. The waiters are always really nice, polite, and attentive. The classic Tavern burger and Tavern salad are the best, in my opinion. Love it here.

Seated inside, by the patio. It's quite chilly inside. My fingernails are purple. Bring a jacket. Drake is waiting on us. He is all over and is running around a lot. Ordered the Turkey Reuben, not on the menu and a santorini salad, side of onion rings with the Rueben and a side of coleslaw. Menu doesn't have the customer notice about menu prices reflecting cash prices only. Do dislike restaurants that do this shady stuff. I am not a cash person at all, but places like this reward cash carrying customers only. Irksome to say the least. The onion rings were a bit too cooked, a few were rock hard and the onion was hard as well. Santorini salad is as you would get in Greece, no lettuce. It wasn't bad. The chicken pieces were dry. The side of coleslaw was way too thick and creamy for my liking. It's a bit overpriced for what you get here. Also, they add an additional 20% gratuity to the bill, it's not mentioned at all on the menu that they do that at all either. This place is really shady. Drake said the reason for the 20% forget gratuity is that they do that for everyone, since they are understaffed. The manager explained a bit later when I wasn't buying the excuse from Drake that there is a 3% surcharge for the food for using a credit card. I said I get that, saw it on the menu, but I told him I was automatically charged a 20% tip, when the menu states that's for parties of 6 or more, not for 2 people. The manager had to void my first transaction. Drake put it in "accidentally" that we were a party of 20 instead of 2. Those zeros will get you. After the forced gratuity was removed, the bill total was $36.03.

I've been driving by this place for years, but finally had the opportunity to give it a try last weekend when we were catching a movie nearby. The place is quite large and much nicer inside than I expected it to be. The menu has a wide range of options, which was good, because my wife and i were in the mood for different types of food. I went for the meatball sub, which was quite tasty. She opted for the Tavern Salad, which she thoroughly enjoyed. The price was reasonable and you could pay by QR code on your phone, which I love! It was a chilly day, but we noticed that they have a huge outside eating area, so we we'll definitely be back when it warms up!

Looking for a place to eat in Clawson and I asked my friend who lives in Clawson where should we go and she suggested Tavern On the Main. The restaurant is at the tail end of the downtown Clawson area. The restaurant has its own private parking lot and it is free. There is a patio seating area and plenty of seating inside. Umbrellas are throughout the patio area to give relief from the sun. Walking into the restaurant smelt like an older building - musty kind of smell, but the inside is not old looking. The decor is very cute and updated but still has some older charm, like beams on the ceiling. The bathroom was tidy and also had a cute vanity and overall design. All of the staff were very friendly and our waitress was attentive. We were seated right away and sat out in the patio. I was impressed with the drink menu and the food prices were not too pricey. The menu was also a good size - not too big but not too small either with items to pick. I went with the appetizer coconut shrimp and added coleslaw/fries to it to make it a meal. I was happy with the shrimp and the dipping sauce was good but it was frozen - so not sure if the fridge was too cold or if the sauce is frozen? Coleslaw was fresh and fries were crunchy. My husband got a burger and he was happy with it - the cook of the burger was how he ordered it. I would recommend and I wish I lived closer because I would become a regular!

They are only open until 9pm on Sunday's. And probably not the 2am they list on other days either. Don't trust this info.

It's refreshing to see an establishment committed to quality on every level with such an extensive menu (plus the prices were very reasonable). My complements to the chef and his team for the knock out job--give that man a raise. My only gripes were that the water glasses themselves were a little petite, and I'm not a fan of suggested tip inflation (i.e., 25%, 30%...), but these were a drop in the bucket compared to the experience I had. Not only will I be back for seconds, but I'll be bringing my friends and family here in the future--I suggest you do the same. Overall: 9.7/10

The idea is to be able to pick different sliders to choose to eat. I decided on the park bowl which came with white rice topped with sesame seeds, avocado, seaweed, and carrots. I added a salmon fillet. It was so fresh and delicious - and VERY filling! I also ordered the calamari for an appetizer and that was pretty tasty as well. I did have a cocktail, it was OK, I really didn't taste any liquor and it was a little bit more sweet than I would have liked.

The space is smaller but very welcoming and definitely feels like a local hangout spot. When you walk in, the specials board is front and center, including their Burger of the Month, which is what I ordered. Mine featured goat cheese, spinach, strawberry compote, and jalapeños. The flavor combination was unique and really worked well together, and the burger itself was juicy. Personally, I would have loved a bit more char for those crispy edges, but the flavors were definitely there. It came with rosemary fries that were thin, crispy, and generously seasoned. I added a side of hot honey for dipping, which ended up being an unexpectedly amazing combo. The restaurant has a great beer selection, plenty of TVs for sports, fun retro-style décor, and soft lighting that creates a relaxed atmosphere. Even at 9 PM, there were families with kids dining, so it feels very family-friendly rather than a late-night bar scene. Noise levels were low enough that conversation was easy, which I really appreciated. Bathrooms were also exceptionally clean. My main hesitation was pricing. A quesadilla was around $15 and my burger was $20, which pushed dinner for one person with a drink and tip to about $35. While that seems comparable to nearby spots like Boston's, it felt a bit high for casual bar-style dining. Parking is limited, but the location is convenient, just minutes from I-75 and surrounded by other restaurants. Service was amazing. We were sad immediately and she checked back often and said what her favorite thing on the menu was. Overall, good food, creative menu options, and a comfortable atmosphere. With a little refinement and maybe slightly better value, this could easily become a regular stop.

The exterior and the interior are top-notch and it is definitely a place to dress incredibly nice and show off your skill in ordering bougie cocktails and high-end spirits. My bf, his mom, and I were treated to dinner here in June 2026 by my boyfriend's uncle, who lives a couple blocks away and goes here regularly. After deciding on just sticking with water for our drinks, we ordered the artisan garlic bread ($8) to split between the four of us. I must be a bread obsessive person because I LOVED this version of garlic bread - it is very different than the Texas Toast frozen brand you buy at the supermarkets, just FYI. The bread is super crusty and the sauce is barely garlic-y. I was stuck on ordering myself the maple seasoned sweet potato waffle fries ($9) no matter what, so to offset allllllll the calories I have already had earlier in the day (as well as with the garlic bread and fries), I ordered the Sicilian Caesar salad ($14) with blackened chicken added on ($12). For $26, this was one very basic chicken Caesar salad for how dang expensive it was. But I guess I was trying to be healthy in a gastropub, so that's on me. The others ordered fish and chips ($29), bangers and mash ($30), and the grilled salmon bowl ($32). I know that the prices are high to match the clientele in this high earning Michigan community, but I still think the prices are just all-around way too high. Perhaps the fish and chips alone was worth the price out of the four mains. I tasted the fish and it was perfectly fried and the portion of fish and fries were generous. By this point, we were full and skipped dessert although they had a nice selection on their menu. The service was professional and prompt, despite the place being packed. I didn't pay the bill, fortunately, but I don't think the mains are worth the price. If in the area, I would love to come back for a happy hour and get a cocktail and eat more waffle fries and artisan garlic bread! Perhaps on a day when I am carbo-loading haha.

I had the BHP Crunchy Friatta (their take on a frittata). It was delicious, but those Hungarian peppers were SPICY!! I had the Strawberries & cream for dessert (from the brunch menu). They literally brought me a bowl of strawberries and cream, so I told the waiter it was supposed to have granola, which he didn't know. We decided to just eat some nachos with chicken and then move on from here for our main meal elsewhere. Their chef has only been here a few months. The menu could definitely add some more GF and vegetarian options and maybe some salads with something other than iceberg too. The shareable plates were brought to us. Mine was dirty with something crusted on it. I asked for another replacement. Even though it's in a bowling alley, it's an artisan restaurant. Nothing is frozen and everything is main in house. They even make their own corn chips, which were quite fresh and super crunchy too. The nachos were not warm or hot, the queso was drizzled on top. It actually tasted good, wouldn't have expected it at a bowling alley or escape room restaurant at all. The corn chips are nice and crispy, even after the drizzle. This nacho would be a nice and messy eat while playing some alley rounds. It's definitely an unexpected spot for bowling eats.
