Located just outside the Royal Hawaiian Center, the shop almost always has a long line, but it moves surprisingly quickly thanks to the convenient self-order kiosks. Despite the steady stream of customers, the staff handled the crowd with impressive efficiency, and our order arrived sooner than expected. With its vibrant layers of color and fresh toppings, the shave ice created a breathtaking first impression. Better yet, it tasted every bit as incredible as it looked. **Hawaiian Rainbow: 5/5** The Hawaiian Rainbow was the perfect sweet treat on a blazing hot day. Layered with housemade coconut spirulina, strawberry, and mango syrups over incredibly soft shave ice, it offered a bright medley of tropical fruit flavors. The shave ice itself was exceptionally smooth and delicate, with a texture reminiscent of fluffy snow that dissolved almost instantly on the tongue. Hidden beneath it was a layer of rich, soft ice cream that provided the perfect creamy contrast to the refreshing flavors. The finishing touches were a generous drizzle of condensed milk and fresh strawberry chunks, whose subtle tang balanced the sweetness beautifully. Homemade mochi added a soft, pillowy chew, while the lychee popping boba contributed subtle floral notes evocative of rosewater. Every element complemented the next, making each spoonful just as enjoyable as the last. Island Vintage Shave Ice more than lives up to its well-earned reputation. From the stunning presentation to the handcrafted syrups, silky-smooth shave ice, and a texturally diverse assortment of toppings, every component came together to create a phenomenal dessert that's every bit as delicious as it is visually captivating. If you're visiting Waikiki, Island Vintage Shave Ice deserves a spot at the top of your must-try list.

The awning above will say Waikiki Tea. It's immediately after an open parking lot if you're walking or driving down the one way street. I'm not sure if you can park in there or not but I found loading zone parking so I parked there and walked over. When you enter, you'll see some indoor seating, the coffee prep area and a display case of some of their cakes. It's a cozy spot but clean and white. My most recent visit was to pick up a birthday cake for a friend. He's been talking about it so I figured it would be something nice to surprise him with. Hopefully he enjoys the surprise and is able to share the cake with all his loved ones. Due to the holidays, Lady M is busy and sells out so preordering is best. I was just extremely lucky they had a Signature cake available the day I called. The person on the phone took down my info and asked what time I was going to pick up the cake then put it on the side for me. Unfortunately, they don't hand write Happy Birthday on the cake but they did provide me a complimentary Happy Birthday cake topper which was nice. Overall great cake option for any occasion.

They have 3 free parking stalls. You can also find street parking either on Beach Walk or Saratoga Road. I walked in and was greeted with a friendly smile. His name is Kevin. You will also see a wide selection of Royce Chocolates display on the right side of the wall and in front of you the glass display of the world's famous Mille Crêpes. Kevin helped us decide on our black box Royce Chocolates. It's a little pricey but the black quality of the chocolate is divinely melt in your mouth full of rich, creamy goodness and delicious chocolate!!! Royce' is famous for the Nama chocolates all the way from Japan. But guess what?! You don't need to fly to Japan to get your hands on them! Just drive yourself to Beach Walk in Waikiki and I guarantee you'll thank me for it!! Yup, you will! ;) We also picked up a few flavors of the Lady M Mille Crêpes. We got Amedei Chocolate, Pistachio, Chestnut and Tiramisu. Each layers of the cake is made with perfection!!! I paired mine with an ice caramel macchiato. It would probably taste better with a hot caramel macchiato but it was a little sunny so I opted for the ice drink. The coffee is also sooo good!!! It almost remind me of the coffee I had in France! I thought I'd never find a better caramel macchiato here in Honolulu than Starbucks! I was completely wrong! Kevin, thank you so much for making my first visit so memorable! You were kind with a friendly smile and lots of aloha!!! Come visit Lady M! Whether you come in for their world's famous Mille Crêpes, Royce' chocolates or meet Kevin, I know you'll love this place! Thank you for reading my review. Have a great week!!!

I was too full at the moment to order more food, but I returned on my last evening in Oahu to order a slice of rainbow cake for myself. It was somewhat early in the evening -- probably around 6PM or so -- so the Royal Hawaiian Center food court was getting a little busy but there were still empty tables around. The bakery itself had a few people in line so I perused the display case for other desserts. They had quite a few interesting ones: lilikoi basque cheesecake, Diamond Head puff custard, ube cake. Unfortunately, my appetite is much smaller than it once was, but the cakes looked delicious and the people in front of me all ordered their cakes ahead of time, so they are quite in demand! The cashier took my order quickly and I was able to get a slice of rainbow cake, which had fluffy cream and moist layers of colorful cake. The flavor reminded me of fruity pebbles, but without being overly sweet the way children's cereal used to be. I really liked eating it because it didn't make me feel guilty eating a dessert. I hope I can return to Kulu Kulu sometime and try their other desserts a well!

Penny's Waikiki Malasadas is located on the 2nd floor of the Royal Hawaiian Center's food court,…read moreand it is absolutely necessary that you check it out at least once while visiting Honolulu. Prior to vacationing in Honolulu with my brother, I'd never heard of a Malasada, but in simplest terms, it is essentially Hawaii's version of a donut. I opted for the 3-piece custard filled malasadas; Nutella, specialty, and vanilla, and each of them were very god. The key difference between the malasadas that I had and the donuts that I'm used to getting in LA is that none of the malasadas were too sweet or barely sweet at all - each of them were perfectly prepared. I also appreciated how they didn't make a huge mess whenever I bit into it, the filling would explode, but it wouldn't burst all over the place either. My only reasoning for a 4/5 star review is the customer service. While it wasn't terrible, and I do understand that it is located inside of a food court, I still think it is important not to rush any customers while they're placing an order. The young lady at the counter wasn't terribly rude, but considering that I was the only person ordering at the time I was there, I didn't think it was necessary for her to try to take my order while doing two other things. That kind of thing can make a customer feel like they're being rushed to order so that the employee can hurry up and get to work on something else. Overall, I'd definitely recommend checking out Penny's as they're malasadas are light and doughy, freshly prepared on the spot, and aren't overly sweet or messy.
