It's a pretty quaint place. Easy to miss if you drive by so you have to look for it, but once you find it, it's very worth it. The doors were pretty narrow and our stroller couldn't fit, but the server was very helpful on looking for a way to bring it in! The best thing for me was the shrimp pancakes, crispy on the outside with a perfect softness on the inside. My wife loved the kimchi soup; it was hot but not too spicy. The bling bling bowl was served cold in a metal bowl despite the menu saying it would be served in a clay hot pot. The Bulgogi Delux was good, but it was definitely the weaker dish of our orders. Would for sure have lunch here again!

We loved the pan fried dumplings so much, we forgot to photograph!

Hidden gem! Lovely restaurant; wonderful, attentive staff; & delicious food! Hidden in the historic old gym locker room area and off the beaten path, this is a perfect little place for lunch. The dumplings were outstanding! The japchae and the bulgogi were different than I've had previously, but very tasty.

First time trying Taylor Seoul Food today and was not disappointed! Staff are so friendly and the food was delicious! Can't wait to come here again and bring some friends next time.

Great addition to Old Taylor High and the Northern Austin food scene. Our first experience for a fulfilling lunch at Taylor Seoul Food included flavorful Bulgogi. I especially enjoyed the cold mashed potato salad, so good. I cannot believe this used to be a locker room! They have changed it for the better into a super cozy and modern dining room with great natural light from the small, high windows. I sat in a back booth and it was bouncy and comfortable and everything was very clean. Our waitress was friendly and attentive and we received our fresh, hot food very quickly. We also got an Iced Green Tea Matcha to go that was refreshing and delicious. At first glance at the menu the prices seem expensive for the area, but you get so much on your plate that is is easily shareable and it is high quality. We'll definitely be back for a date night soon.

Try the cinnamon tea, it's delightful . All the food was amazing . Service was top notch

Located in the old Taylor High, this spot is a a great spot for lunch and exploring the nearby shops. I ordered the pan-fried dumplings, and they were absolutely the highlight of my meal--crispy and full of flavor. I also tried the roasted pork belly plate, which came with a variety of sides like a green salad, rice, kimchi (not my favorite but glad it's included), tofu, and pineapple chunks. Everything tasted fresh, and while the dumplings stole the show, I still enjoyed the pork belly. It could use a bit more seasoning, but this was my first time trying Korean food, so I might just be unfamiliar with the flavor profile. Definitely worth checking out if you're in the area! I ordered my food to go so I didn't get to experience the service. However, the interior looks well kept and clean.

Just a wonderful little Korean restaurant in north Austin. My wife said of the dumplings, "I've never had better!". I had the "Bulgogi Delux" and was licking the plate at the end. The "Dreamy Creamy..." good heavens, soooooo delicious!!! The service was excellent too. The wonder, Sung, is amazing. Highly highly recommended.

We were surprised to find this little restaurant in the Old Taylor High School and I had been wanting to try kimbop for forever. They made gluten free versions for me and they were both amazing. It's a quiet and clean restaurant with good service. I'd definitely come back.

Taylor Seoul Food may be in a small town but they definitely deliver big flavors! Came here after a long hike and came across this hidden gem in Old Taylor High. We were greeted with a warm welcome from the staff as soon as we walked in and glanced over the small but delicious menu. We decided to go with the brisket soup and the shrimp savory pancake both were excellent choices. The brisket soup had nice Korean spice and came with great accompaniments including a ginger salad and kimchi while the shrimp pancake was crispy & scrumptious! We got seated in the new dining area while listening to soft jazz playing in the background. We even got the back story from our waitress that her husband redesigned the whole space that used to serve as the old high school locker room. I'm excited to see what's to come for this place in the future as their just getting started.

    1. Service: Stellar customer service. Shout-out to Cassie our server. You are so awesome and accommodating. 2. Food: we got the japchae and hot pot. Flavors are balanced, delicious, fresh and authentic. Absolutely worth the price. 3. Ambiance is charming, quaint, and cozy. You will feel like right home.

What a fun treat! Drove out to Taylor for some antique shopping and was pleasantly surprised by this Taylor Seoul Food...it was the Korean lunch I didn't know I needed. The vibe, the service and the food were EVERYTHING! Such fresh ingredients and they even offered to make my Tteokbokki in a non spicy sauce that was transformational! The gimbap and dumplings were so good...that I would honestly drive the 45 minutes again simply to eat and skip the shopping. Hard to believe this used to be a high school locker room. A definite must if you find yourself in Taylor!

I was outrageous about this company. How the hell ya fail for udon. Seriously? Just have bunch of udon broth packets nowadays it sold from many Asian markets yall can go for such a cheap prices are 500% better than your udon. How. Just how can you fail with udon? Genuinely impressed for how they can fail for most simplest menus. Same for the donkatsu. Donkatsu is my one of favorite menu and this is their commonly included menus (menus switching weekly), and every single tries got me a food poison. HOW. Ya just need to deep fry it. The cutlet meat always had awful meat smell, that was not edible at all, the texture felt like the meat was overly dry almost like it was left in the corner of fridge and forgotten for a year. Gross! When food poison was repeated, we actually had some people (including me) reported HR manager about it. Then HR manager tells you that they can't do anything for it.. since it's not enough of number of food poison reports to consider switching off the cafeteria catering company (what!?), then he also added that those few people who got sick are maybe has sensitive health condition than other employees (and this was only his personal assumption added-not really accurate at all) so they can't really assume to observe with such a small number to consider is the worst HR response I ever received!!!! That doesn't matter when there is still a single person gets sick from their food, ya need to investigate still! It's important no matter what! Investigate to look into it that does it really just those few people's own health issue or the actually the food on their end has the actual issue. So ya make more healthier, efficient selection for employees' benefit! The HR manager literally told me at the end of conversation that this is a "benefit", that company, the Samsung is being "generous" for the workers. If we don't "like" (oh, he wording it as it's some kind of our "preference" instead it is a health issue related), then we have our own option to not receive it and seek for our own options. Whereas Taylor site has nothing but farms of cows, open crop field for at least 13 miles side to side, back and forth. The Taylor downtown takes driving of 10-15 mins to go. Besides all these, this supposed to be one of our "BENEFIT" then why would you make it feel like "beneficial" for us in the first place????? We would definitely LOVE to enjoy the "Free meal". But it makes us SICK. When the benefit does not benefit the employees but rather make them ill during their work hours, this should not be proudly stated as a "benefit". I strongly hope the HR manager who said the all b-ahss-shiets feeling full of ashamed for himself, believing this is an employee benefit. No, it's not. Don't even try. We are not effing fools. I have so many to speak about left, but I know Yelp would shout me off for long essay of a review so I would not spill all- but yes, just these two, it's still harsh NO. More importantly, they FAILED Health inspection three times!!!!!!!!!! They even removed the red warning sticker that inspector has posted, in the front of door indicating they have failed the inspection! Which is definitely ILLEGAL! You are not allowed to remove the sticker until you actually pass the next inspection! THREE TIMES!!

The inside was vey inviting and tastefully decorated. We had the Beef Bulgogi Bao, this was really yummy. The bao was soft and delightful. The beef had a sweet bulgogi glaze that worked really well with it. The rest of the toppings added a nice balance without overpowering the meat. My only wish was that it was 4 baos and not two since they are so small. The highlight was the Firecracker Shrimp. Be warned this is not a spicy dish like you might think from the name. The crispy shrimp was crunchy and not soggy at all, it felt pretty clean and not greasy. It came with salad, rice and a spicy soy sauce and it was just so good. With 12 shrimp, it's definitely shareable between 2 people. Lastly we had the Vietnamese iced coffee which was $6. It tasted like Ovaltine and was mostly ice with just a few sips. I wouldn't recommend it unless the cup size is increased or the price is decreased. So overall, it's a bit pricey. The menu was also a little confusing. We checked online prior to coming and they had a lot of stuff but when at the restaurant, there were only a few items listed which caught us off guard. We actually ended up ordering the wrong item (firecracker shrimp when we actually wanted dynamite shrimp, ultimately it worked out cuz it was delicious but the problem still stands). So those are the only cons I can think off. Other than that, The place was fantastic. Did not think Hutto would have a place of this caliber. I had the jhol momo, chili momo, chicken chowmein, fried rice, and chicken thukpa, and everything arrived warm, fresh, and perfectly packaged for delivery. That's important since I did not want a mess all over the other food. The chicken thukpa soup was exactly what I needed-flavorful, spicy, and comforting with tender chicken and fresh veggies. As a soup lover, this hit the spot and quickly became my favorite item. The chicken chowmein, which I requested to be non-spicy for the kids, was packed with flavor and got their seal of approval. I decided to try the fried rice (mixed with meat, shrimp and veggies). I really liked the flavors and it's definitely different than other places who just throw soy sauce on it. Will get this again. This food truck is located out of the way on an access road in between industrial businesses so you must actually be looking for this truck to find it as you wont just stumble upon it. Lets get to it! Chicken Tikka Masala Generally, tikka masala is made with yogurt marinated chicken. The chicken is then skewered and chargrilled, giving the meat an incredible charred flavor. A tomato and coriander sauce is common, but no recipe for chicken tikka masala is standard. Chicken tikka masala is similar to butter chicken, both in the method of creation and appearance. What is served here is a tikka masala sauce that is reminiscent of a classic curry-stand recipe. This is not haute cuisine; it's the kind of nuclear-orange tikka masala you crave when you stumble out of da club at 3 A.M.This dish has a punch that comes from a mildly spicy heat, but it's not extremely hot due to the creamy tomato sauce that balances out the spice. Butter Chicken Butter chicken is a type of curry made from chicken with a spiced tomato and butter (makhan) sauce. Similar to chicken tikka masala, the chicken is marinated for several hours in a mixture of lemon juice, dahi, Kashmiri red chilli, salt, garam masala, ginger paste, and garlic paste. The marinated chicken is cooked in a tandoor but may be grilled, oven-roasted, or pan-fried. The chicken on this dish is grilled. The butter chicken presented here has a velvety smooth texture and a slightly sweet taste. This is ideal for someone who is adverse to the spice of a tikka masala. Paneer Chili Momo I only had momos once before having them here. If you are like me the first time I tried these and want to know what the heck momos are: Momos are a traditional delicacy snack (Asian steamed filled dumpling) from the Nepali cuisine. Generally, momos are made with finely chopped freshly harvested vegetables with an option of minced meat. A momo is similar to Chinese baozi, jiaozi, and mantou, Mongolian buuz, Japanese gyoza, Korean mandu and Turkic manti. These momos are tender and have a bit of heat from the chili and a light crunch from the bell pepper and onion. Drunken Noodles These drunken noodles aren't spicy like the traditional Thai drunken noodles but yet more mild in flavor, which is surprising as the reason they are called drunken noodles is due to the dish's reputation for being a popular late-night street food option that packs the heat. There are variations on the recipe, but there are some ingredients that are usually included such as Thai basil, vinegar, chili peppers, and peppercorns. This dish had all the standard ingredients but not the heat. The dish is filling and flavorful and will pair well with a nice cold beer. For those who do not indulge in libations, a mango lassi will do. The people working at this truck went out of their way to make sure that Thing Two and I were pleased with our meal and offered the momos for free because of the extended wait time for the food (color me impressed). There are tables in front of the truck where customers can wait for their food. Thing Two and I enjoyed our mango lassis at one of the tables while we waited. Overall, this truck is a great addition to the Pflugerville area and should be visited if in the area. #supportlocal
