Food is decent. I don't love the buffet but the menu options are great. Buffet is a fantastic price if you're not looking for anything specific. It is small though so if you just want a bunch of a few things and don't care what they really are, go for the buffet. If you crave something specific like I do then order off the menu. I ordered from Taz Indian restaurant last night. I made it clear when ordering that I was paying with cash. So I was surprised when the driver said that he did not have any change. I should have just told him to take the order back, but decided to just pay the $13.00 tip. (It still makes me mad because I specified that I was paying with cash when ordering.) The food was a big disappointment. The Tandoori chicken was very dry, and the rice bordered on very dry - sort of like eating a crumbled rice cake. The Naan bread was good. My boyfriend and I eat lunch here regularly and really like it. We've never ordered from the regular menu, but opt for the buffet. As far as a buffet goes it's a little limited, but there are always a variety of vegetarian and chicken dishes, a tiny salad bar, condiments and desserts, and the options do rotate from day to day. The naan is fresh and delicious, and we leave feeling great, not like some Indian buffets where you just know your insides are completely saturated in fat and dairy. Good service, too, very friendly. However...when we walked in (yes...as many other reviewers use delivery) we stood there waiting to be directed to....wherever, as it seemed everyone (staff) were otherwise day-dreaming. Husband and I love this place. Good tasty spicy food but their customer service is great as well. I ordered take out through Uber Eats from Taz and the kitchen gave me chicken instead of lamb by mistake. When I called to let them know about it they very nicely apologize and offered to have my next lamb Marsala order for free. This place is fantastic and I highly recommend it. read more

after an hour and a half driver calls me, says shes in front of my house. Shes actually a mile a way from my house. She refuses to drive any further I have to go get it, while I'm walking she calls to hurry me up. Then when I call the store to make a complaint first they tell me the manager comes in at 4pm, call was made after 4 pm, then she does the I dont speak english routine. I've ordered food from Taz several times and it has always been good. Last night, however, was a different experience. I picked up my order instead of having it delivered; but, that shouldn't have made a difference. I ordered my usual, chicken korma and cheese naan. The chicken was tough and the sauce had little flavor. The "cheese naan" had such a small amount of cheese, I thought it was plain naan at first and it was hard rather than soft. It seems they may have a new cook who doesn't know how to cook. What a disappointment! read more

I was somewhat concerned about how well this restaurant would do in my neighborhood. I don't know that the area would support an Indian Restaurant. But I wanted to try it, as I've developed a new found love of Indian food. And I have to say, I'm thrilled! The food is fantastic! The Tandoori Chicken is tender and delicious and, my personal favorite, the Chicken Tikka Masala, is incredible! Medium is plenty spicy, without being too spicy to enjoy. That statement made with the caveat that I really enjoy spicy food, so it may be a little hot for others that aren't such fans. Even the rice is incredible with wonderful spices used and infused. Now my only concern is if Taz Indian Restaurant should at some time want to relocate outside of my neighborhood. read more

Girlfriend calls, they say the driver will be there soon. 10 minutes go by, call back from the restaurant, The driver will now be 20-25 minutes. Don't deliver from aurora to denver if you can't live up to the initial delivery times, and then call back and say it will take the time it takes from the restaurant to the house, as if they haven't left in the first place. read more

I'm a sucker for good Indian food. I actually work for an Indian webhosting company right now, and always am getting good suggestions from my coworkers who are at an office in India whereas I am the off-shore worker in the states. (Reverse outsourcing is interesting eh) I've had delivery from this place numerous times, many times during my workday from the home office, but last week have finally had a chance to visit the place in-person with my roommate. The food here is AMAZING! The staff are wonderfully pleasant, and almost got the order right the first time; however the bread order came out wrong the first time. We ordered 1 regular naan, 1 garlic/herb, 1 cheese, and 1 roti. We ended up with an onion kulcha, and 3 plain naans. They fixed it right away though! The cheese melted inside the naan is SO delicious when fresh out of the oven! The garlic naan is also supremely tasty! Of note: they have _never_ messed up even the most insane online orders. It was only the waitress who decided to use her head, and not a pad and paper, to record our moderately complex order at the table for lunch. They offer complimentary papadam, which is delightfully crispy and cuminy, to crunch on as a small appetizer before they bring any other food out as well. The appetizers were great: You never can go wrong with a vegetable samosa, especially with tamarind dipping sauce! I also enjoyed a salad with their house yogurt dressing and it was also quite tasty and hit the spot before the gut-fire that followed. Now don't get me wrong: I love hot food. I _love_ hot food. Starting with the pickled jalapeños on Nacho Day from first grade onward, graduating now to ghost pepper sauces and eating raw habañeros without even so much as wincing (a little sweat is good!) I have asked them to make me a firey hot chicken saag. They did NOT disappoint! It was both extremely flavorful, as well as filled with the body-warming spices and peppery punctuated heat I love so much. They also do a great Vindaloo of any style; I've tried chicken and fish and the fish is actually better than the chicken for its flavor and moisture content. The sauce either way is great! They have a ton of other things I've not mentioned, as this is only 1 review; I'll add more later as I sample the whole gamut of their selection - I live close, and will DEFINITELY be coming back time after time to this amazing restaurant! I ordered delivery for a small work event at the Anschutz campus. I called at 11:02, they open at 11, and the food arrived at 12:20 or so. I didn't let that lower my rating because the delivery man (Bikram) was also the one who cooked all the food he had brought. They were short staffed, and I know I couldn't have done any better so I am not taking it out on someone who is both cooking and delivering! I did not get to try the masalas i ordered for others, but the lamb i ordered, one of their special dishes, was so delicious! The lamb was cooked perfectly and not overdone at all. Tender and yummy. The samosas were very good, the naan (plain, garlic and special taz) were all very good. I would recommend this place, and will have to try some more of their food. read more

These guys are the best cooks in town. I have eaten the best curries, masalas, and and naans from their kitchen. Absolutely worth checking out for authentic food with variety beyond the typical Indian menu. For a classic try a meat curry or dal. Anything sabji or stir fry style will be just as good and a little lighter. This is my new favorite restaurant. read more

Fresh hot naan (not on a warmer), great buffet with flavor and spice, not just boring americanized food. Visiting Denver area and hit several Indian restaurants on Southeast side, and this was the best so far! Aurora area right next to a Starbucks. I think the food is great...have been there twice now and have not been disappointed...the first time was for their lunch buffet and thoroughly enjoyed it...went last night for dinner and once again the food was very good....the only thing that I would say is keeping me from giving Taz a 5 star review is the service...it wasn't bad at all, but I think they tried too hard, which can also be a negative...need to find the in between of not being attentive and being too attentive and once they find that, this is a 5 star place read more

This is a great small family owned Indian/Nepali restaurant. They have a great lunch buffet which i sometimes get. I also sometimes order delivery from them. They give generous portions and spice level is whatever you ask for. i like their style of cooking, very authentic. For example their saag is not soupy with a lot of dairy, but generous in having a lot of greens in it. that is the nepali style. They can make dairy free or cook it to your spice level if you ask. The naan and roti is always well made. The raita tastes great, and the tamarind sauce is rich and dark and not full of fake food coloring like other places. Taz is a simple smaller family place not the big fancy type place, but still nice atmosphere and they have a good variety of choices on menu. I like the variety of buffet as well, also they have a kids menu. I feel at home there and they are very friendly and kind. read more

This is our go to Indian restaurant now. They deliver to our house, the food is great, always and fairly priced. But if you order over the phone, be patient, listen extremely well and be ready to repeat your order a couple times over because it is hard to understand them and without being able to a dish on the menu, you may get something you didn't order. We had lamb biryani (mild) and lamb vindaloo (medium). Mild was very mild, medium was just about the level of spice we both prefer. We were very happy with the food, which was ready for pickup promptly and tasted delicious. Price seemed reasonable. Two entrees will come to just about $30, add in 2 naans and 2 mango lassis and you'll be at $40 for two. There was apparently some coupon confusion on pickup -- we had the $20 for $30 yelp deal and they didn't want to honor it because we'd also received a free rice pudding due to the size of our order. In the end they did though, which was nice. So just a tip, pass on the free rice pudding, buy the Yelp deal, save $10, avoid arguments. read more
