As of last week, I couldn't find Tea 18 directly on Google Maps. Maybe because it's fairly new...? However, I was able to GPS it through the Yelp directions option. It's located in a plaza next to a dentistry and a poke place. It was easy to find and there was easy parking. I was craving boba and noticed this location is new, so I decided to sit through traffic on a rainy day for this. The staff is nice and suggested drinks to me because I'm always unsure what to get. The store is clean and provided samples. The day I visited, they offered taro milk tea and passion fruit tea. They were a bit on the sweet side for me. The prices are like any other boba shop. I decided to order a regular black mt with no topping and 1/2 sweetness, regular ice. There were 3 other people inside around 6pm; but after my order, there were like 4 people that came after. It took a while for my drink to be made, but I didn't mind. When I tasted my drink, it tasted like there was no sweetness. I don't know if the cashier misheard me or the sweetness ratio is weird, but I should've asked them to remake it. I was struggling to drink my drink. I drank ~1/3 of it, and it made my mouth feeling dry and needed water to wash it down every sip. It also had a sticky residue in my mouth... It was strange, but I'm optimistic. I'd come here again and hopefully I won't encounter the same problem. read more

Went here the other day for the first time. I ordered a matcha smoothie and was so happy with it! It tasted like real matcha-sometimes you order it and it has that too sweet, syrupy flavor! It's out of the way for me LOL, but they're always opening new boba spots and food places so the drive is worth it. I've only tried 2 drinks here so far--strawberry milk tea and taro milk tea. I usually never get these flavors because I don't like the fake taste of powder, but HEYYYY they make it work! The strawberry milk tea is bombbbbbb! There's little strawberries in there! It tastes really milky too...IDK you just have to try it lol. And the taro?! It's a little more expensive, but so worth it! They put real taro in there!!! Bless their hearts T.T I like to tone down the sweetness and ask for half sugar, otherwise the drinks are a little too sweet for me. Oh yeah, they have a small and large size now. They only had one size at first (the large), which was perfect honestly lol. I believe the cashier told us the small is 75 cents cheaper? Make sure you CHECK IN on Yelp for 10% off!! I was in the area and after hearing about this boba spot from a couple of friends, I decided to check it out. It was about 8pm, and I ordered pretty much immediately since they weren't busy at all. The decorations are super cute; particularly the mirror "map" of the world. The Lavender Black Tea caught my eye, and when they told me they can make it as a Milk Tea, I was sold! The Lavender Black Milk Tea was ~$4. I got it half sweetened and easy ice, which I definitely recommend. They also have this cool machine that shakes your drink, which is different than what I've seen at other boba places. Within 5 minutes, my drink was ready! The lavender flavor was subtle but distinct, and definitely not overpowering. I think 50% sweetened was a good move but having it a little more sweet wouldn't be a bad idea either. The flavors were great and it definitely curbed that sweet tooth I had. Tea 18 has plenty of options, and I definitely recommend checking them out if you're in the area. read more

This place isn't bad! We got a coupon from Yue Huang so we decided to try it. There's a 10% discount if you check into Yelp, too. I'm a huge advocate for cheese foam/cream cheese in my milk teas now. I was excited to try theirs, which I did so with green milk tea and boba, and it was fantastic. However, the chocolate foam was terrible. It tasted like chocolate diluted in 10 cups of water. The boba was solid. The service was good except they didn't mention that the seal on the medium sized cups weren't sealing properly. Wow, it's been forever since Bubble Cha Cha closed. They finally re-opened this place, but it's a completely different business, even though the menu is really quite close to Bubble Cha Cha. The set up is identical aside from some modification as well. I ordered a lavender black tea and it was OK. They keep the tea bags in the sealed drinks, which I'm not crazy about, but ok. I have a boba problem and I am not afraid to admit it. Anywhere and everywhere in town, I will try or have tried boba. Any topping, and flavor, any time and anywhere. And so to make a point to give 5 stars to a boba location, it's really got to stand out. And honestly, you won't find better boba in Sacramento! I luckily work in Natomas, so I am in close proximity to Tea 18. I never heard any word of mouth about it, but when you have a craving, you find whatever is near to meet it. And that's when I discovered the one and only, Tea 18. The tea treasure of Natomas! My litmus test for "Do I like this place?" is always a taro milk tea with boba. You gotta get the basics good before I want to try the rest of the menu. And boy, this was the ONE. Not only did they have delicious and not too artificial tasting taro, they have taro topping which they HEAP on and sometimes, taro boba! So...much...TARO! So this is my second visit.. And on the first visit I ordered the same thing.. Okinawa with ice cream. I loved it! But on this second visit something was off about the taste. Since it's during COVID I can't comment anything more than their tea. The selection of tea was quite standard but the taste was extremely bland. I got a oolong milk tea and my husband had something else (house tea maybe?), neither was remarkable except they both tasted like sweetened water. The most bland milk tea place I've been to my whole life. Much more prefer Deluna across the street. The ambiance was pretty nice so it may be a nice hangout spot.
