Popcorn Chicken (left), Braised Pork Belly Bento (right)
    Samantha L.

Authentic Taiwanese flavors! The Popcorn Chicken was super tasty. Fried bite-sized chicken pieces, crispy outside and juicy inside. Seasoned well and I like that it's fried with basil for additional flavor. It comes with their house mayo sauce on the side for dipping. The Braised Pork Belly Bento was very filling and had many sides. Several pieces of tender braised pork belly, along with some braised tofu and whole egg. The braised juices are poured over the rice to make it savory. Pickled cabbage and carrots brighten the dish. The cucumbers are great, light and crunchy, to balance out the meal. Good value with big portions. The restaurant had a homey atmosphere with warm wood tones. There are some tables available for dining in. Take out service was fast and the packed food was labeled for easy identification. Would like to try their drinks next time to pair with the food!

They have a self service kiosk or you can order at the counter. I got the passionfruit green tea and it was the perfect sweetness and had good tea flavor. The prices here a better than most boba places in the area too. The popcorn chicken is delicious as well! It comes out nice and hot and had a good crunch and flavor to it. Would definitely come back for more drinks and snacks!

Everything is mid about this tea shop, from ambience, tea products to customer service, yet it gives me so much memory from years of coming here with my family. Though I am always up for trying new places as a boba tea lover, I never want to forget this dingy place at the corner of this grungy plaza, that has sticky table, ok milk tea, hit-or-miss service, but lots of good time. Our recent pop-in after long-hour drive from a road trip was soul-soothing and nostalgic. Tried the curry beef shank rice plate and really liked it. It was yummy. My passion cream milk tea was ok. Service was absent-minded as they gave us the wrong drink and it wasn't busy. Restroom could use a good remodeling as everything was falling apart. Casual setting. There are a few tables for sit-in but don't expect comfort. I'd like to see this place getting upgraded.

Dirty, dirty, dirty! Walk in here and look at the blinds. Not only do they have dust on them, they are baked in grime. They never been cleaned in the last decade it appears. I haven't received my order yet, so I can't speak to the food. But the condition of cleanliness in this restaurant is enough to give it the two star rating. I will never come here again. And I don't care how good the food is.

Got two orders of fries and a Thai tea. The fries were 6.99 per order and it came out to be super small! Very upsetting portion ugh

    Honeydew Milk Tea

If you're ever in the Homestead area and in the mood for boba pearls and something sweet and refreshing, Tea Era is a decent option. My friend and I came here after a particularly hot day in order to get a drink, and it was just as good as I remember. They now have a kiosk that you can order from and a variety of options, such as the Honeydew Milk Tea that I got. Service was relatively decent too, with the drink being prepared at an average amount of time and The interior of the place is a little dark, probably due to the dark wood of the walls, floors and furniture and the fact that the blinds of the windows were covering the light, but it gave it a sort of cozy atmosphere in spite of the loud children that were near us. There was also a TV playing what I think were kpop music videos, but I'm not entirely sure. The milk tea was refreshing, but occasionally the texture for mine would feel a little ot. My friend ordered a mango milk tea and mentioned that hers tasted a little artificial, but other than that we were still able to enjoy our drinks. It's not as sophisticated as some of the other places in Cupertino (or maybe I'm just a bit of a snob when it comes to boba), but it's reliable and has never failed to disappoint me. It would not be a place that I would go to on my own, but if a friend wanted to go there I would be more than happy to go with them.

Same price for most of the drinks

It's legal to charge additional "service fee", hidden fees not shown on menu? It's 20oz per said but there's a hidden service fee on every drink.

    Hot Taro Milk Tea
    Kevin T.

Came here on with some friends as it was their preferred boba shop in this part of town and it's a winner in my book. Pretty good pricing on bubble tea, had plenty of warm tea options (not quite hot, but it's rarer in the US), and taro tea had fresh taro chunks in it as well! Boba was good and flavorings at the 50% level were at a good subtle level of sweetness. It's a fairly simple place in decor, but quite the vast menu and I wasn't too interested in their other offerings (such as food and snacks). Good amount of parking given it's locale and it's pretty hard to find places that do cheap but good bubble tea, so this is definitely a name I'll be remembering going forward. Ordering is straightforward with a small kiosk that you can place your order at if you prefer less contact. Expect to have your number called out when your order is ready.

They had 120+ drinks being made at all times according to their board, so definitely order at least an hour ahead of time on the weekends. When we finally got our drinks, we chugged them because we were so thirsty and they were sooo good. We ordered a variety of drinks: Strawberry Avocado Kale, Strawberry Daifuku, Durian Smoothie and a few of their other fruit smoothies. The Strawberry Avocado Kale and Strawberry Daifuku were definitely the top 2 drinks for us and I'm excited to come back to try the regular Avocado Kale with popping oat boba! There is plenty of seating inside but if you don't like the smell of durian, then I probably wouldn't sit there. Once you enter the store, you are blasted with a waft of durian air. Overall, 10/10, can't wait to come back when I'm in South Bay!

SERVICE (3/5): Just the wait for the drinks can be insane. I've seen wait time for over an hour before. They don't allow you to order ahead at opening. It was a 20 minute wait at opening. TAKEAWAY: I don't know if these drinks can be a meal replacement. Parking here sucks, small lot.

I like that they use biodegradable materials like paper for the cups/straws. No issues with off flavors from the paper straw. The yin yang boba pearls were good, not much to comment on. Yin yang jelly was one of the highlights, the white part was rich and custardy. Fried mushrooms they used king oyster mushrooms with big cubes from the stem of the large mushroom, the mushroom flavor really comes through since there is a lot of meat. I really enjoyed it.

I suspect a lot of customers come from other restaurants nearby. Anyways, I kinda like the tea here because of the specials they run. They currently have a BOGO and also a special on milk black tea. Both are fair deals and they get the tea for you in a very timely manner. The sealing plastic on the tea is very thick so sometimes it can be hard to punctute it with the straw. The small size is the same as regular size you find in other places. Overall I do like this tea place because of the pricing. There is also a lot of different add-ons. Most add-ons are 85 cents which is kinda expensive but pretty chewy. I like the boba more than the jelly. Place itself is small but it does have about 3 tables and chairs that is fairly comfortable when not crowded.

They give you the option to put double matcha (for the honey matcha latte) which is a plus! The double shot of matcha and the honey pairs really well together. It has the perfect amount of sweetness and a perfect amount of matcha to make it taste rich without being bitter. The strawberry matcha latte has strawberry puree and strawberry bits which makes it taste really sweet. It's a really good contrast of flavors and an overall solid strawberry matcha latte. They also updated the self-ordering kiosk with 2 instead of one now, so there's barely any lines now compared to when they first opened. The drinks are a lot quicker so you don't have to wait too long. There's also no seats inside but there's plenty of waiting space on the outside patio! Overall I would highly recommend this place for matcha lovers. Their matcha is super rich in flavor and they have a lot of options. Sometimes, they also have matcha powder in stock too! My first experience was pretty mid because the ceremonial matcha latte was VERY strong and bitter. I couldn't finish it and it made me super jittery. After coming back a few more times though, I found a couple things I really liked. The Crème Brûlée Matcha was delicious. I finished the entire drink. You can't change the sweetness level, which is unfortunate, but their recommended sweetness actually balanced the stronger matcha really well. The ice cream is probably the best thing here. Super creamy, perfectly sweet and really well blended. I would honestly come back just for the ice cream. The strawberry matcha latte was pretty unmemorable to me, and the hojicha was also extremely bitter. Service was good. The barista was kind and helpful, which I appreciated. You order through a kiosk, so there isn't a ton of interaction overall. When I first came around their opening, there was basically no line. After they started getting more hype, the lines became longer and longer. I think it's worth trying, but personally I wouldn't wait in a huge line for it. Overall, the matcha itself tastes authentic and is prepared well, but some drinks are just too bitter for my preference. My recommendations: the ice cream or Crème Brûlée Matcha. Those were easily the standouts for me.
