Favorite spot for the barley milk tea. Their pearls are always good and they even have taro balls which is unique from other boba places.

Not sure what happened to this place. They used to be on point every time. About a month ago, all the staff turned over and things are different. Drinks take longer to make, so lines are longer. I am a huge fan of Tea Era's Peach Pearl Milk Tea! It comes in a very satisfying large cup (unlike many other places), and is much more flavorful than drinks from other tea shops. It's a simple but flavorful drink, perfect for those record breaking summer days. read more

Tea Era used to be my go to place for oolong milk tea and boba. Ever since they opened the Cupertino location, the quality dropped drastically, both sites. In the past few years, every time I wanted to give them another chance, I regretted it. You can hardly taste the tea and the milk felt very artificial... I really like tea era mainly because i love milk tea and all the other milk tea places dont have the option of using fresh milk (whole, nonfat) when making milk tea. I used to work at Tapioca Express and their milk tea was made from a powdered mix whereas at tea era its actual black tea with an option of real milk. Using real milk in milk tea makes the drink a lot healthier. You never know what health effects can rise from those premade powder mixes. read more

They have good tea, and I liked all the ones I tried (wintermelon, regular milk tea, and they have iron buddha tea!). I actually didn't get to try any pearls, because I decided to get egg pudding, but it tasted kinda plastic-y. Their food is average, but it's not bad, so I'd probably get some if I were hungry. Milk black tea is okay, but the tea doesn't have that nice aromatic fragrance that better tea places have. Prices are really good - a large milk tea w/o pearls is $3. I went there lat week. I bought the food. There was a misunderstanding of my order, but they were very nice to replace it for me. My family enjoyed the lu-rou-fan and other dishes. This place was so bad! You can tell the milk tea is not fresh and is made from powder. That's why they made it so quick! Plus the staffs weren't nice at all. I clearly said what I wanted and the staff who was writing down my order couldn't hear it which was totally fine to me... I wouldn't mind repeating myself. I have frequented this place many times but today the workers failed miserably in customer service and actually should have only one star. They made a mistake in filling my order and then failed to call that my drink was ready when I was standing there. When I spoke up, the girl at the cash register just plopped it down with no apologies. This is an attitude that will not bring your customers back. Went here today with a friend. I ordered the Iron Buddha Tea (regular size, iced with regular pearls, 50% sugar). I've never had that kind of tea before, but it was refreshing, and I liked it! The tea was strong and flavorful, and the drink was the color of espresso (dark brown/black). The boba was nice, soft & chewy, and tea era gave me lots of pearls (I noted that they do give customers lots of pearls in general). The service was quick and the ambience of the shop was nice and clean. The pricing was reasonable and overall good! read more

Yeah, the tea there is fairly priced and is actually pretty good. The atmosphere is more family-friendly, so I don't know if you would want to hang-out with your friends there, but you still can. They literally have a drink for everyone, be it a slushy, a pmt, or just tea. The quality is spot on and the food is a lot tastier than other pmt places I've been to. My only complaint is that every time I get a Royal Darjeeling Milk Tea, they just give me Darjeeling Milk Tea (I've had it a couple times in the mountain view branch as well as the first week they opened in Cupertino.
