You dip the mochi in the milk tea with the cheese foam and bite it. It's a dessert and drink all in one. The boba pearls are nice and soft and chewy. The mochi itself is sticky and bouncy, and has a nice texture to it. Paired with the sweetness of the milk tea and the richness of the cheese foam, this drink is definitely for those adventurous food lovers. Though it's definitely not an everyday drink, it's ob every boba lover's bucket list. Definitely try this drink at least once. Tea hut also has various other fruity drinks. This is our absolute new favorite tea place. I don't love boba but our family does so Tea Hut is perfect for us because they have mini taro balls that have the same chew as boba but with a bit more flavor. We love all the unique flavors and combos like the Emerald Grape with the fresh spinach taste and the Coco Grape with the grapefruit pulp and coconut milk with grape. Came here on a Sunday afternoon. There was no one else in the shop. We ordered 5 drinks and I enjoyed reading their brand story on the wall. It's cutely decorated, like a sleek interior with a lived-in exterior along a street with other small businesses. The prices are kinda steep, coming to around $7 after toppings, tax, and tip. I got the Strawberry Energy. If you've ever been to N7, I think this drink is comparable to theirs. You could taste the fresh fruit and I liked the balance of fruit to tea flavors. I lowered my sweetness down. The boba was perfectly made. I don't know if it's kept in syrup or honey but there was a sweetness to it. I liked the Very Citrus and Orange Green Tea too. They were refreshing. We watched them make the drinks and there's clearly a focus on fresh fruit. They smashed an entire orange into one of the drinks. The Oreo Milk Tea was tasty. Was in the area and found this place. From the review it looked promising but should have turn away at the first sign when we walked in and the floor was full on soapy water. We came about 50 mins before closing so they were probably mopping the floor. But jeez leaving the floor full of soapy water is dangerous . The barista didn't even greet us when coming in and when asked if it was safe to walk to the ordering kiosk. He gave us a look and said up to you. My husband really wanted to try this place but it wouldn't be my first choice for a boba stop. I ordered the Strawberry Milk Tea with Drinkable mochi. The strawberry milk tea had an odd taste (from the strawberry flavoring) but the tea flavor itself was pretty good. The mochi on the other hand was not drinkable at all! Usually drinkable mochi is closer to a mochi pudding but TeaHut practically uses the same mochi you eat in Ozoni. It was inedible for a milk tea drink and added an unpleasant watery rice element that did not mix well with a sweet milk drink. They do remake drinks if there was a mistake but the whole drink was bad and I didn't realize until after I ran to my car in the rain. The service was also incredibly slow especially when no one else was in there :( The plain milk tea with boba was actually delicious so it seems 50/50 with their drinks here. read more

I reduced the sugar to 50% so it wasn't overwhelmingly sweet. The boba was soft and chewy but did not have a lot of flavor. Strawberry milk tea - at 75% sweetness, it wasn't too sweet which I liked. The strawberry wasn't too artificial which I was afraid of. I liked the subtle hint of strawberry in the tea. Four seasons milk tea - at 50% sweetness, it was the perfect amount of sweetness but it tasted a little watery. I couldn't really taste the tea. The place was busy with patrons lining the outside sidewalk. They have a plentiful menu of options. My fam enjoys the fruit tea blends. All right, so I've visited Tea Hut a lot since we often meet up with friends in San Carlos for dinner and stop by Tea Hut afterwards. I like the black, jasmine, and oolong milk teas here. Their drinks still feel a bit on the watery side compared to some other shops but I think the overall taste is still fine. I think their boba is plentiful and chewy. I get 0% sugar and I feel like the syrup from the boba usually gives the drink just a hint of sweetness that I want. Or I sometimes do the 30% sugar especially for the jasmine or oolong teas. You can order via the kiosk or you can give your order to the person behind the counter. I do note that they often run out of boba in the last hour before closing! read more

My sister and I got: - mochi soy milk tea: 3/5 - the drink lacks flavor and imo pretty pricy just because of the mochi balls which I didn't think it was worth - four seasons milk tea w/boba: 2/5 - was recommended by the bobarista.. it came out to be milky with barely any tea flavor so I went back and asked for them to tweak/remake mine, 2nd time it came out to be watery with a stronger tea flavor - unfortunately I was still not satisfied with my drink and didn't want to ask for another remake Btw, they have a sign posted that if the drink was not made to your satisfaction, you can ask them to remake. I'm a big fan of Tea Hut! I more often order their drinks from Doordash but sometimes go in-person. Their location on Laurel is convenient and on part of the street that's mostly closed to cars for safer walking. And their shop always seems clean and organized. I find their drinks seem much fresher and healthier than a lot of other boba spots (and I consume a lot of boba so have lots to compare to!). I love that they use a lot of real fruit too. Some of my favorite drinks are Sable Grape (my top pick) and Coco Melon (watermelon juice with coconut pudding). My kids love their Strawberry Milk Tea and my husband often chooses the Thai Milk Tea or Oreo Milk Tea. I'll definitely keep coming back and / or ordering delivery! read more

Pretty good boba place, but definitely on the pricey side. I visited on a Sunday afternoon. Several blocks in the area were closed for pedestrians, so it's definitely a nice area to check out and walk around. There's street parking in the surrounding neighborhood as well as public parking lots. The shop was empty except for two employees. One of the employees who took my order was very courteous and answered my questions, which was very nice. I came to try their mochi soy milk tea and was fairly shocked that the drink came out to $9.10 (almost $10 for a drink!) This was just a regular size, and I added boba to it. The girl behind the counter just plopped the drink on the table then when straight back onto her phone. Also, the mochi idea is cute in theory, but I ended up just taking the drink home and cutting the mochi up so I could drink it like boba. The mochi was very soft and chewy and lightly sweet which I really enjoyed. The boba was a bit goopy and clumpy. It was okay, but not the best boba texture.
