This was my second visit here. Both times the staff weren't very friendly, especially the female who I interacted with on both visits. She doesn't even smile when interacting with customers, its awkward and uncomfortable. On this visit I tried the crispy tofu, and got a boba milk tea (which I tried last time). The milk tea is fine, nothing special about it. The boba were undercooked this time though. Requires an unhealthy about of chewing, not good for anyone's jaw. Probably going to try and open up my drink and toss the boba. The crispy tofu was AMAZING. It's prepared and seasoned just like the popcorn chicken, and like the fried tofu from Quickly, which I also love. A few issues: I ordered on GrubHub and purposely did not choose utensils, but they still included them. And I asked for non-spicy but yet they included a spicy sauce and didn't even warn me it was spicy. It also took like 20 mins for my food which is quite a while IMO. Honestly I much prefer Quickly to this place. Sadly Quickly closes early now, and they aren't available on delivery apps... and I had a GrubHub gift card so that's why I stopped here tonight. Quickly is a better value for your money, and generally they are more friendly. Probably my last visit here. read more

Good snacks, like their crispy fish nuggets and their fried tofu. The garlic sauce that went with the tofu was a bit too salty though. If I could rate this place 0 stars, I would. The workers do not have their priorities straight. It was like they were working BACKWARDS. I simply just ordered 2 regular sized milk teas and it took half an hour for me to finally receive my order. Three orders were placed after me. And every person that ordered after me got their order first. Mind you, one of the orders was a big order that had some blended drinks all large sizes. You would think that they would prioritize the 2 regular milk teas that was ordered first, let alone when it was ordered 2 parties BEFORE. Oh and did I mention the customer that ordered after that order ALSO GOT THEIR ORDER BEFORE MINE?! I think the craziest part is how fast they made my order. This is a hidden gem. I've been coming here to study a lot, the music is not loud, and the staff is friendly, especially Tina. She makes an amazing avocado smoothie! This place was just discovered randomly while we were in the next door restaurant. We ordered the chocolate milk tea with boba . It was creamy and delicious and they have the get one free offer that Mark was honest enough to let me know, so I had the chrysanthemum tea hot with a little honey. The cups that they use are quality ones which by the way impressive, if they invest in those they things. They care about the quality of the product they serve. OPEN EVERYDAY UNTIL MIDNIGHT! You'd be hard pressed to find boba establishments that are open late weekday nights that aren't MJ's or nestled away in Rowland Heights. Having one in this area with those hours is super convenient. Not only that, but they also serve food and snacks, which is a huge plus for me. We got the current BOGO Grand Opening special and tried the: 1) Wintermelon milk tea -much sweeter than other places and you can taste the extra brown sugar they use for flavoring 2) Almond milk tea -sweet, but not scathingly artificial or cavity inducing like other places 3) Honey lavender milk tea -you can really taste the honey -the lavender isn't the typical artificial lotion flavor you get at some other boba places 4) Passfruit green tea -this was super sweet, I had to water it down later For food, we got the buffalo chicken fries, it's literally crinkle cut fries and popcorn chicken with spicy buffalo seasoning and side of ranch dipping sauce, but it's a huge serving that could easily feed 3-4 people as a snack. Many of the people were eating the ramen and noodle dishes while we were there, so it's something that I want to try. This place is a gem in Pasadena! It's been hard finding certain Asian dishes since moving up here... used to be in center of SGV with tons of options for things. Today we tried food items and they were all really fresh and delicious .The chicken was very tasty and had so many different dipping sauces (garlic soy, sweet and sour and ranch) and they were all very good. The strawberry fluff ice was so good and very reasonably priced. The line is usually pretty long but they do their best. The mocha smoothie wasn't sweet and it tasted like powder. The lemon honey tea tasted bitter and honey like but lacked that lemony flavor. The food was bland too. Now I don't mean to be rude but the popcorn chicken they had was terrible. It tasted off and was super dry. I think the best part of this place are the nice workers, but other than that? They have many games that my friends and I played with that we enjoyed. However, the drinks were not the best. The winter melon tea did not taste like winter melon and it was not good.
