    Insect inside the salad

Insect inside the salad!!! Extremely disappointed and disgusted!!!! I will report this incident to the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health. I ordered a buy-one-get-one salad through Uber Eats. I took one bite of the first salad and immediately discovered an insect in the food during my second bite. I spit the food out right away and stopped eating. The second salad was never opened or touched. I took photos and kept the food as evidence. When I contacted the restaurant, I was simply told to seek a refund through Uber Eats. I did that, but I don't think I need to elaborate on the refund process since that's not the point. The issue is not the refund. The issue is that there was an insect in a ready-to-eat salad. That raises serious concerns about sanitation and quality control.

I've been a huge fan of poke bowls for years, but Bay Poke has quickly become my absolute go-to spot in the area. I stopped in last week on a busy weekday afternoon, not expecting much beyond a quick lunch, and I left completely impressed on every level--fresh ingredients, generous portions, and standout customer service that made the whole experience memorable. If you're anywhere nearby, do yourself a favor and add this place to your regular rotation. From the moment I walked in, the vibe was welcoming and clean. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant has a bright, modern coastal feel with light wood accents and big windows that let in plenty of natural light.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The menu is clearly displayed with plenty of options for both build-your-own bowls and signature combinations. I went with the classic Spicy Tuna build-your-own, but honestly, everything on the menu looked fantastic. What really set this visit apart was the incredible customer service from Lindsey. I had a couple of questions about the different marinade options and whether certain toppings were gluten-free (I have a mild sensitivity). Lindsey didn't just give me quick answers--she took the time to walk me through the ingredients, suggested great flavor pairings, and even customized my bowl on the spot when I mentioned I wanted extra avocado but less rice. Her recommendations were spot-on, and she did it all with a genuine smile and friendly energy that made me feel like a valued regular, even though it was only my second time there. In a world where good service can sometimes feel rushed or robotic, Lindsey went above and beyond. She checked back after I sat down to make sure everything was perfect, and even offered a sample of their house-made spicy mayo when she saw me eyeing the condiment station. That level of attentiveness is rare and really made my day. Now, onto the food--because it more than lived up to the service. The fish was incredibly fresh and tasted like it had just come off the boat. My ahi tuna was firm, vibrant, and perfectly marinated. The portions were generous without being wasteful; I had plenty of tuna, avocado, edamame, cucumber, mango, green onions, and furikake all piled high. The rice was fluffy and seasoned just right, and the spicy mayo they drizzled on top had the perfect kick--not too heavy, but enough to tie everything together. I also tried a few bites of my friend's Salmon Avocado bowl, and it was equally impressive. Everything was beautifully presented, colorful, and bursting with flavor. Even the sides were excellent--the seaweed salad was crisp and tangy, and their cucumber salad had a nice sesame crunch. For the price, Bay Poke offers outstanding value. You get restaurant-quality ingredients and a filling, healthy meal that leaves you satisfied but not stuffed. The restaurant was busy during our visit, yet the line moved quickly thanks to an efficient team working together smoothly. I can't recommend Bay Poke enough--whether you're craving a healthy lunch, a quick dinner, or something to fuel a productive afternoon. The combination of top-tier fresh poke and exceptional service (shoutout again to Lindsey--you rock!) makes this place a true gem. I'll definitely be back soon, and I've already told several coworkers and friends to check it out. Five stars all the way--keep up the amazing work, Bay Poke team!

Tried the 'small bowl' for lunch today. I hadn't considered adding mandarin oranges to poke before, but honestly, great combo Super refreshing and filling! I also appreciated how fast I was served.

First timer! It was delicious and fish tasted so fresh! Will definitely make the drive back

Ordered another time today on ubereats. Ordered my usual buy 1 get 1 free medium bowl and instead of getting 2 bowls I only received 1 bowl. This has never happened before- this place is completely down the drain.

Generous portions for a great price! Came here with my mom and sister on a Sunday afternoon. Service was quick and there was no line. We paid around ~$18 for the large, and was surprisingly enough for my mom and I to share! The salmon and ahi tuna were thickly cut, I especially loved the creaminess of the salmon. It's located in the El Super plaza, so luckily many places to park! [[HIGHLIGHT]]We ate inside and seating is similar to a fast food restaurant. Quiet and cozy on a Sunday afternoon.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I've eaten from here at least 5 times and I love that the quality is consistency good. Recommend giving a try!

Lunch, already ate a good amount

I came here not knowing what to expect but was definitely satisfied with my drink! I got the roasted oolong milk tea with their brown sugar boba. I loved the authentic, rich milk tea taste and the consistency/ flavor of their boba. I would say this is on par with Mollytea, Chicha san chen, and places similar to that. However, what stood out to me was the lightness of the drink compared to other places that leave me feeling bloated/full. I also love their ambience! Lots of seats and the smell of herbal tea. But last Tuesday this little tea shop exceeded my expectation so here goes my essay. So normally I'd order the toasted brown sugar boba milk because it's insanely delicious, but at the time they ran out of boba. I was kind of sad but I ordered something else anyway. When I picked up my order, Sam (the sweet girl who works there) gave me a little cup of brown sugar milk with crystal boba as extra. She didn't have to do that but she did and that really made my day. It's been a week and I still think about her. I hope her pillows are cold both side and her daily commute are full of green light with no traffic. Ok end of story . Here's my rating for the items my friend and I ordered: - Fresh taro puree milk: 8/10 has a generous amount of taro and sea salt cream. Straight up so creamy and filling I couldn't finish, I had to put it in the fridge. And it still tastes good the next day. - Dragonfruit Aiyu: 9/10 surprisingly refreshing! Not only the drink looks pretty but the taste is also delicious. Great for anyone wanting a light option with sea salt cream. I live in the area and will definitely come back for this drink. The store workers are attentive and super friendly, especially Sam. They also make our order very fast. Overall, a solid choice for boba!

Matcha lovers, this one is worth the stop…read more I visited Chayan not too long after they opened, and this was such a good find in Rowland Heights. First of all, the space itself is beautiful. The traditional Chinese-inspired aesthetic gives the shop such an elegant, calm atmosphere. It isn't overly flashy or trying too hard to be trendy--it just feels peaceful and thoughtfully put together. Definitely the kind of place where you can slow down and actually enjoy your tea. But let's talk about the reason I came here: the Matcha Green Tea Frappe. SO. GOOD. What immediately stood out to me was that this didn't taste like one of those drinks where the actual matcha gets completely buried underneath sugar. You can genuinely taste the matcha and the quality of the tea. It has that distinct matcha flavor while still being creamy and enjoyable. And the topping?! Instead of just throwing regular whipped cream on it, they top it with whipped matcha and roasted peanuts, which gives it this really interesting combination of creamy, earthy, nutty flavors. The peanuts add a little texture and complement the matcha surprisingly well. It tasted intentional rather than just sweet for the sake of being sweet. That's probably my biggest recommendation before coming here: if you're looking for an extremely sugary, dessert-style matcha, this may not be what you're looking for. This is much more about actually tasting the tea. If you want something loaded with sugar where the matcha disappears somewhere in the background... Starbucks is right there. But if you appreciate a more balanced drink where you can actually taste good-quality matcha, I absolutely recommend giving Chayan a try. Beautiful atmosphere, quality tea, unique flavors, and an overall really relaxing experience. I'll definitely be back to explore more of their menu.

When we arrived, the shopping center was extremely busy and all of the parking near Summerfield was taken. We parked along the brick wall in what appeared to be the same parking lot as the restaurant. There was nothing obvious to suggest that those spaces belonged to a separate apartment complex. The only warnings were a couple of small tow signs posted along the wall for about 18 parking spaces, and the main sign near the entrance was bent over and unreadable when driving in. We had no idea that section was private parking monitored by Quick Tow. We went inside, ordered food and drinks, and waited over 30 minutes for everything to be prepared. When we finally finished and walked back outside, our car was gone. After reading other reviews, I realized this isn't an isolated incident. It seems to happen to many people visiting this location. With how popular Summerfield is and how often customers end up parking there, I think the restaurant should at least post a clear warning telling customers not to park along that brick wall because vehicles will be towed. If they truly care about their customers, this seems like a simple step they could take. Instead, at 10:30 at night we were left stranded, had to take an Uber to another city to retrieve our car, wait while the paperwork was processed, and pay $640 to get it back--all in less than an hour after it had been towed. The whole situation felt incredibly predatory and sketchy. While the food itself wasn't bad, this experience completely overshadowed everything else. I won't be returning, and I strongly recommend that anyone visiting be extremely careful where they park. Avoid parking anywhere along that brick wall unless you're absolutely certain it's allowed.
