This is a local favorite for me & my family. They are noodle addicts lol. You can't go wrong with the chicken pad-Thai. Everything we have ever order is great. We get ours take out and sometimes dine in. If you order extra spicy, you will know it come daylight. Medium spice is perfect. read more

If you like really bad Thai food, stop here! Seriously, it's pretty rank. The curry was really weak and watery. Maybe I just went on a bad day. EDIT 06/11/15: I think I really did just go on a bad day. It's decent enough Thai food depending on what you get. I'm still not a huge fan of the curry (I have asian family and I'm accustomed to theirs... it's much more robust, rich, and flavorful). Their soup is fine, but not nearly as great as I've had in other Thai places. The real star is their fried rice. It's actually quite delicious and it's the only thing I'll order when I go back. I've had to go many times here with my friends and it's the only thing on the menu I'll eat with gusto. Try it Thai hot if you enjoy any spice (but it varies in heat every time you order it). I'm glad I finally found something here that I truly enjoy and hopefully you'll find something you like, too... it might take a few tries. read more

Ate here for work. Had food delivered. I got chicken pad thai. It was really good. Lots of food for a lunch portion. It was lunch and dinner and only ~$5. The pad thai came with sprouts, peanuts, and lime wedges on top. I got it medium spicy but I'd probably ask for it a little spicier next time. Not thai hot, though. I'm not that brave yet. Granted, the location isn't far from work, but the food was incredibly (temp) hot. My coworker said she had gotten delivery at her house before and it was always (temp) hot even though she lives further away. read more

Come on people....this is not what Thai food should taste like. Should have listened to our Thai friends who told us to avoid this place. Drunken noodles-dry, completely flavorless, and lacking any spice that we requested. Fried rice- had to add soy sauce to get any flavor out of it. Green curry- an embarassingly small container of curry that was mostly broth. But that's ok since the chicken was so tough and dry that I wouldn't have wanted any more of it. The worst part- it cost us $32 for the meal. We've been to great Thai places- this is far from it. read more

Ate sampler plater as an appetizer, excellent crab wonton and dumplings. Red Curry and Pad Tai both with pork. Curry was ordered Thai Hot and was excellent, Pad Tai was ordered mild and was sweet and good. Pork was a little bland but was still good. You get huge portions for the money. I love this place. It may not be the most authentic food but it's much better than Bangkok. It has a variety of food to choose from and you can always ask for spices on the side to jazz it up a bit. Service is usually pretty good and they seem nice. It's peaceful inside. Prepare to be full. I only give them 4 stars because I think they use MSG in a few of their curries, but regardless this is a great place to eat. I would recommend it to anyone. The Thai iced tea is delicious and they have delicious Pad See Ew. read more

The food is always good. We normally go in a group (4-8 people). They must do amazing business when we aren't eating there as it normally seems dead. Nice and quiet. The decor is decent. I just wish they would clean the fish tank a little more frequently. The potstickers are a good appetizer. The Thai hot isn't as hot as others' Thai hots. I have had the Swai Thai several times and one of the curries (I always forget) several times. My favorite dish, however, is the Peanut Sauce Lover's dish with chicken, Thai hot with no mushrooms. The peanut sauce is amazing I always get extra so I can mix it in with my rice as well. My boyfriend found a recipe and it is easy to replicate (no complaint). We have even gotten it to-go before and it tastes good at home as well. read more

Definitely the best authentic Thai food in Baldwin and Mobile Counties. My favs are the curries - parang and massaman. And I love the papaya salad. And for dessert, mango and sticky rice! A must go whenever I'm in town. Reasonable prices too. read more

This is the first bad review I've ever written. I initially gave Teak House five stars, but the last FOUR TIMES I've eaten there, it's been REALLY terrible and they've gotten my order wrong every single time (beef in a vegetarian dish, wrong color curry, wrong dish altogether, etc.). And they've never offered to comp anything for their own mistakes. The waitresses are kind and apologetic (even though it isn't THEIR fault) but it's just not worth it anymore. I tried to give them a bunch of chances because it was so good the first few times, but I'm telling you, things have changed. Maybe it's new staff, I have no idea. I'm super disappointed though, and I'm never going back. read more

At the beginning of Teak House's restaurant life I tried them a few times and was not impressed or happy with my experiences, but it is so long ago that I cannot expound on it now. I used to be a Bangkok loyalist but I have found the opposite effect of normal restaurant life has been true of Teak House. Once a few friends finally convinced us to (once again) give Teak House a try, I am a loyal supporter. I do have to say, I am mostly a takeout orderer from Teak House, but the fact that most of my orders from here are takeout has not negatively effected my experience with the quality of food. I agree with other Yelp users that the appetizer sampler is huge and delicious, and always is cooked well in my experience. Their crab Rangoon is folded in half verses the "flower" 4 star style that Bangkok and other Chinese restaurants in the area do. I have to say, I've grown quite fond of their crab rangoons, the miscellaneous soups they have to offer, as well as the vegetarian or meat pad Thai that they offer. All the people that take my order have been friendly, and they bring my order to the front even if customers are dining without it feeling like I'm putting them out by picking up a to-go order. I will keep supporting Teak House as long as they are there. read more

This restaurant was supremely disappointing. The service was nonexistent. The waitress failed to provide any silverware or take our drink order. She walked off in the middle of us ordering our appetizers. We had to ask her to bring us silverware and drinks after our appetizers were delivered. The quality of the food was very poor. The chicken satay was grisly, and the eggrolls and crab wontons tasted like freezer burn. We should have left immediately. Unfortunately we did not follow our instincts. Our entrées arrived, and were served on top of our menus and dirty appetizer plates. We were stunned. We took a few bites. It was awful. We didn't eat another bite. Unsurprisingly, the staff either didn't notice or didn't care. We ended up leaving. The whole experience was incredibly disappointing. I had eaten there in September, 2015, and the food was yummy and the service was excellent. I don't know if it is under new management or what, but it was so bad this time that I will never go back. read more

I have had Thai a lot in my travels from many large cities and from authentic Thai chefs. This is not the best but is fairly dependable and we eat here a lot. It can be fairly mild and bland if you don't order it spicy. Their hot is more like mild at most other places. read more
