If you're craving a juicy duck then come here :) you can get a rice plate with duck or just order half a duck or a whole duck to go! I came back to town and wanted some duck and I heard from others that this place has some good duck, so I had to try. We ordered the rice plate with 2 entrees and selected the roast pork & duck ($11.95) and also got an order or the tonkatsu ramen ($9.95, I think). The rice plate was delicious. It had a good portion of rice with veggies and my choice of duck & pork. You can choose chicken or bbq pork too. It was very filling and I even had some leftovers and finished it later. Pork was crispy and duck was juicy, just perfect :) Oh, it also came with a free cup of lemon tea. The tonkatsu ramen was basic. Broth was ok, noodles ok, sliced pork ok. I had better, so I say skip the ramen here and get the rice plate. There's also snacks like popcorn chicken, crispy tofu, chicken wings, and drinks (latte, milk tea), and etc. Maybe I'll come back and try the snacks and drinks one day. We proceeded to ask for one more 5 times and each time got confirmation they'll get it but they never did. Bf wanted to try this place for a while now so we decided to come for dinner.. They were surprisingly quite busy on a Wednesday night. I looked thru some photos on Yelp and saw that the beef stew w hand pulled noodles looked pretty good and so that's what I wanted to order. I did see beef stew rice plate on the menu so I ordered that instead but when it came out, it wasn't exactly like the beef stew in the yelp pic. I wish they had more photos on the menu! Anyways, the beef stew that came out was something that my dad have made many times at home so I wasn't too excited about it. Also, it had way too many tendons on it which I didn't like and it didn't have much meat! Flavor was just ok. I wouldn't order again. On the other hand, my bf ordered the two piece rice plate meal with the signature tea king chicken and crispy pork. The chicken was surprisingly really good and flavorful. It was also tender. Came on the Thursday evening around 8:30pm. parking is narrow and getting in the lot can be tricky. Surprisingly there no cars in the lot and two customers were just walking out. My husband bought a whole roasted duck from this restaurant, and of course, they cut it up for us. When we got home and opened the box, we were shocked to find that the duck was incredibly small. Upon closer inspection, we realized the entire breast, one drumstick, and a whole wing were missing! They had tried to reassemble it to look like a whole duck, but it was far from it. This duck cost $37, and to have it missing such significant parts is absolutely unacceptable. It's misleading and dishonest . This review is only for their duck. If you buy a whole roasted duck, do not let them cut it. Just buy it whole and cut it yourself at home. Otherwise, they'd take pieces of the duck and put it in their rice entree for other orders. How did we confirm? We've always had suspicions of missing pieces of our duck when we take it home after they cut it. Sometimes our duck would miss the meaty chunks and sometimes the duck is just super light. One time my mom called and asked for a whole duck, they said they're out of whole duck but they have rice duck entree left. How can you be out of whole duck but have duck for their rice dish? It's the stolen pieces of duck from people ordering whole duck. If you stand in line and wait for your order, you'll also notice everyone ordering whole duck will not let them cut it. The salty sauce paired with fatty and crispy skin of the duck blends well. Noodle: oily and wok fried the only way noodle should be cooked. Pork ear. It says spicy but it wasn't spicy. Could have used more Szechuan peppercorns for that numbing sensation. Scallion Pancake: very crispy n delicious paired with the duck as wrap! From the outside it doesn't look like much, it's in a shopping center on Freeport. The shopping center itself looks like it has seen better days. But once you step inside, the decor is nice and there are booths to sit in. Once we came in, we ordered at the counter but noticed as other people came in to eat they sat down and had someone take their order. Very crispy and juicy, it is a tad bit salty for my taste but with some rice, it tastes perfect! This was my first time trying their Hainanese chicken rice plate and I definitely was not disappointed! The rice also has a ton of flavor! This is a tiny restaurant in a crowded strip mall. I went to try the pig ears. They were tender, flavorful and well cooked. Unfortunately, they are served julienned and cold as a salad. While tasty, it wasn't what I was after. They appear to have a full menu as well as milk teas and beverages. The place was packed on a Friday afternoon! The menus and most signs are in Chinese.
