I've been back a couple of times and each experience has been solid. We've had their chicken wings and scallion pancake with curry sauce. I could do shots of the sauce alone, that's how good it was. The wings are flavorful, but I wish they were a bit bigger. You can't go wrong with the biang biang noodles. They went well with the wings plus a little bit of the curry sauce mixed in with the noodle sauce was amazing! I like their jasmine and oolong milk teas, but currently favoring the oolong. I'd like to try their black sugar latte and their thai tea with ice cream. That sounds like it would be perfect for the cooler weather. Service here is efficient. You get seated right away. They take your order and serve your food in a timely manner. Whether or not you get a warmer reception depends on who you get, but we've never had bad service. My only complaint with Tealicious is their dessert. I've ordered their tiramisu on two different occasions. The first time we ate in the restaurant and I saw them take it out of a commercial box right before they served it. Sadly, it was still frozen. The second time, I got it to go. When I had it at home, it tasted freezer burned. I think I will just stick to the items that they do really well and have dessert elsewhere. read more

Tealicious is located in a small strip mall so parking can be a challenge. The restaurant itself is clean, spacious, and cute. They offer a small variety of foods: pot hots, ramen, noodles (with and without soup) dishes, rice dishes, appetizers, fruit teas, and milk teas. A few coworkers and I stopped by for lunch and tried their hot pots, ramen, fruit teas, and milk teas. The staff were friendly and efficient. Plus, our orders came out really quickly. I tried the black garlic tonkatsu ramen and black milk tea with coffee jelly. For $8.95, the ramen was a good size for the price. The broth and noodles were good but I didn't care for the sliced pork (which was overly fatty) and plain egg. As for the milk tea, it was good but the flavor was on the weaker side. My co-workers had a similar opinion about their dishes: good for the size and price but nothing particularly outstanding about their experience. read more

Decided to check out Tealicious for dinner since we only had drinks from them before. We ordered the two item duck rice plate, bake rice with cream sauce and pork chop and crispy fried tofu. Unfortunately, the rice in the duck plate was very dry, hard, and tasted very old. The duck had good flavor but was quite bony. For the duck plate it's an extra one dollar for the one item combo and extra two dollars if you want this protein twice for the two item combo. This dish was not worth $15. The bake rice dish wasn't that good either, both dishes were quite disappointing. The crispy fried tofu was okay, it was cut on the bigger side so wasn't really crispy but was better than the other two dishes. I did order a passion fruit and tangerine drink and that was good. Best Chinese BBQ in Sacramento! I ordered the bbq platter that contained the crispy roasted pork, empress chicken, roasted duck and Char Sui. I usually don't like chicken but this one was very tender and juicy, eat it with some of the ginger sauce! Their roasted pork was crunchy on the outside and had even layers of fat and meat. The roasted duck was full of flavor. My favorite food item of the day was actually the Maggi duck chin (not pictured bc we ate it before I got a picture). They are popular for their fruit tea and I can see why! Fruit tea had some passion fruit, apples, melon, orange and other fruits. I also tried the ginger milk pudding which I really liked bc it was not overly sweet and had the perfect amount of ginger. Service was also outstanding! My mom loved the roast duck from here. This place is usually pretty busy in the afternoon. I would recommend this place if you like roast duck. We've tried the roast port and bbq pork but it's a bit dry for our liking. You can dine in or do take out. They're not that organized and they don't give a good estimate on how on the wait times. I'm always waiting for an extra 10-15 mins for my order, even though I called 20 mins ahead of time. I see people ordering the chicken and roasted pork rice plate. Seems to be the most polar items to get. I've ordered the honk Hong lemon tea drink before and it's not good. They used floral tea that isn't the traditional HK lemon tea drink. I was pleasantly surprised by my visit to Tealicious. With a name like that you'd think it was a boba cafe or something. They do have teas and drinks that are excellent, but I'd say that the majority of the menu consists of actual food items. It's a Chinese place but they serve ramen. I was curious and got the ramen... It's not ramen. The noodles are more of a Chinese style thin egg noodle with savory pork flavor. It was pretty good... but it's not ramen if that's what you're looking for. I'd advise to just stick to the Chinese stuff. We got a few other types of noodles as well as a braised pork dish and all of it was excellent. The only misstep was the crispy tofu - which didn't have enough crisp or flavor for me. In terms of drinks, I LOVE the signature fruit tea. It's a bit pricey, but it is extremely refreshing. If you want something hot with a really Asian flavor, I'd go for the warm ginger milk tea. Not many places have a drink like this on their menu. Overall Tealicious is an easy place to recommend. Apparently they have upgraded their space and menu recently. You can tell that there was effort into remodeling this place. If you haven't been in a while it would be a place I'd say to check out once again! read more

We have been here a few times but today's experience was probably the worst. We came before two other tables by almost 10-15 mins and placed our order. They all got their food before us - probably because the spoke Chinese and we didn't. We had a toddler and a baby. And food kept coming out to other tables and we ordered the same food as other tables. Went up to the cash register to cancel the last two items that didn't come. Waited half an hour while watching customer after customer that placed their order after me get their order before me. They finally said my order was ready but gave me a BBQ duck instead of a soy sauce duck. I had to wait another 10 minutes for the slow poke in the back to cut up another duck. While watching him cut up my duck, he noticed some sauce dripped into my styrofoam box. He proceeded to wipe it out with some dirty ass rag that he uses to wipe the chopping board. I took the order because I didn't feel like waiting any longer. Threw out the dirty rag duck but ate the chicken which ended up giving me a case of #3. Also, they have poor service. On one previous occasion while dining in, I asked the server for some hot sauce. He forgot. 5 minutes later I went up to the register and asked him again. He says ok and proceeds to mop the floor. Frustrated, I asked another server and she brought me some. I saw several reviews in which customers got diarrhea (#3). Maybe the Health Department should pop in for a check. read more

Me and my friend went to this place because I was craving some hand-pulled noodles. I was delightfully surprised to see they had duck as well, so I had to try some! I liked the noodles and the simple toppings that came with it. I only got half the soy duck, but I was so full I couldn't finish it. This duck dish is soft, not crunchy, but the taste is good. This review is only for the drink I had, not food. Hopefully I can try their food next time. I've heard good things! I walked in around 12:40pm on a Thursday afternoon. It was pretty busy in there. 2 parties ordering in front of me. The guy in front of me took like 5+ mins to order, so that took a while. People were also calling in orders. In some ways, it was a bit chaotic. I finally got up to the counter and gave them my order: large jasmine milk foam with less ice and 30% sweetness. The drink itself tasted really good. Not too sweet. The jasmine was very floral-y, which I like, and the milk foam was creamy and I could taste the cream cheese (I think). The drink itself came out to $4.90 after tax. I would definitely go back for that drink. The only downside I'd say is the wait.. I went during the lunch hour and there was a lot going on. Took 20 mins from the time I ordered, just to get my one drink. That doesn't include the 10 mins I waited in line.. so I ended up taking a longer lunch break than anticipated. Tealicious was love at first sight!! I ordered the Taro Milk Tea with boba in a size large, light ice and 20% sugar! It tasted so fresh! So beautiful! Looked and tasted so real!! The bottom layer was filled with taro then boba layer and then milk tea. The restaurant was packed which to me equates to good taste and flavorful foods. The only problem is the meat tend to be boney with many small sharp pieces:/ This applies to other joints nowadays unfortunately! For some menu items, It's quite cost effective to add on the Hong Kong style lemon tea for extra $1-2 bucks (small/ large.) The place fills up fast on weekend so come early before lunch/ dinner rush. Very friendly service and not overly noisy here. Easy to make conversation with friends without the noises bouncing around or too much background music, etc. Nice hangout place for 1-2 hours. Enjoy. Too bad they permanently discontinued the baked dishes. Came here to try a few drinks but their menu is huge! They serve ramen, Chinese food/BBQ, and lots of Boba. Tempted to come back to try their food but can only review their drinks today. I got the strawberry matcha latte and a red bean slushee but my group ordered 8 drinks so they definitely took a little bit of time to come out which was understandable. Both drinks were great- not too sweet but a nice treat after dinner. I loved the strawberry syrup at the bottom of the drink and there were lots of strawberry chunks in the drink too. The red bean drink was also quite delicious- but not ideal for the cold day it was. The place was nice but I think the layout is a little odd. There's a huge divider in the middle of the restaurant that squishes the tables really close together so it's not very comfortable getting in and out of this place. This place is a hidden gem. It's very unsuspecting from the exterior but inside, there's a bustling boba shop/Chinese restaurant. I love their two-entree rice plates. I always get the grilled pork (ask for pork neck for fattier pieces), the duck, or the crispy pork. The dish comes with rice and a side of fresh veggies, usually bok choy. It's a great meal that's super filling because their portions are huge, especially for the price you pay! It's a good deal overall. I always get my order with their lemon ice tea. It's delicious and refreshing to pair with the meats. The service is on the slower side but it's a small price to pay for this meal. They're extremely short staffed so service was very poor and slow. I put in an online order via their website at 5 pm. Order confirmation told me it'd be ready at 5:20 pm. I ordered a Thai Tea and asked if they could make it a slush and they were able to! I love Thai Tea slushes but haven't come across many in Sac. So I appreciate them accommodating the order! My Thai tea slush was good and the boba was soft and chewy! My bf ordered an Oreo Milkshake and it was good but I have to say my Thai Tea was much better in my opinion! I had a coffee drink and my boyfriend had the unsweetened jasmine tea. The drinks were great, though mine was too sweet but I should've asked for unsweetened. My order came out by itself. It was a piece of duck over rice with some steamed cabbage. The plate was too wet, like they served me on a wet plate. The cabbage was overcooked and old, just a bit slimy and smelled unpleasant. It wasn't seasoned either. They served me the worst cut of duck. There was so much cartilage and bone. The duck meat didn't smell good and it wasn't seasoned nearly at all. I struggled to eat the few bites I took and could eat the rest. We waited for my boyfriend's food, which never came. It was not a good experience. The food is inexpensive but not worth the price. It's one of my kids favorite places to eat whenever we are in the area. The roast duck, roast pork, and empress chicken are always on point. Our favorite is their maggi duck chins! Service can be hit or miss, pretty typical with any authentic Chinese restaurant but we go for the food. A new milk tea place for me to check out? Count me in! Before "Tealicious" opened, everytime I drove by I would take a peek. The renovation of the storefront in an older mini-mall on Freeport Blvd, was quick and completed in just a few weeks. Given my eagerness, I am pretty sure I showed up on the 2nd day of the soft opening...like a puppy waited for a treat. The interior has been completely remodeled from it's former run down restaurant, and when you enter, you can see the care they took to create a modern, welcoming space. On the left, is a lounge of sorts: Coffee tables and comfortable chairs are placed to encourage hanging out. The right side of the place is set up for dining in, with a few larger tables for groups. The idea behind Tealicious is based on the signature "fruit teas". The teas infused with fresh fruit, and some say it is also like a drinkable "fruit cup" as they place a ton of sliced fruit in the bottom of the drink. Adding on to the specialty fruit teas are fresh fruit smoothies, made with the same ingredients, milk teas and hot drinks. They have a small menu with noodle dishes, appetizers and desserts, which I am told are all made in-house. I ordered a black tea with extra boba, and tried the crema on top. The tea is freshly brewed everyday, and the crema topper was luscious! It was very rich and a little foamy, but not too sweet. They provided a cup with a sipper lid in addition to room for a thick straw- I like these dual lids. I eventually mixed the topping with the back tea, and it was delicious...the boba was fresh and chewy, with a slight honey flavor. I have also purchased a hot matcha latte, and it was creamy with the right ratio of matcha to milk. They use pure matcha powder, which I prefer, and it was perfect for a cold and rainy day. Service can be slow, but I am sure the delays will iron themselves out in time. It could be because the main counter area only has a small workspace to make drinks. While I have yet to try any of the food, I will most certainly return to taste more from the menu. read more

Have been here a dozen times for roasted ducks and roasted pork over rice in the last 15 - 18 months. Taste is good but meat quality depends on what the chef gives you on that day. Some days you get more meats others more bones. Meat quantity (even on good days) does not warrant $17 as other Chinese restaurants in the same stripe mall and surrounding area give you more for that price range. I had the beef noodle soup also. The noodles were... not the same type as biang biang noodles, they were thin. They were fine, but the dish would be better served if it had the other noodles. The beef was really lackluster, not thick and tender pieces like it is at Yang's. It was thin, tough strips that didn't have much flavor. I would not order this again. My friend got a vegetarian RJM which she said was lackluster (but the bun was good), other friend got chicken curry noodle which she liked. So the food can be kind of hit and miss TBH, my reason for 4 stars. I was really excited to try RJM but I think I'll probably just stick to my new best friend biang biang noodles. Oh and let's talk about the TEA. I had a mix fruit tea, their specialty. It's basically fruit salad boba and it's BRILLIANT. It's gotta be one of my favorite drinks of all time. After stuffing my face with Chinese food at Jade fountain, I wanted something sweet. So, Tealicious it is! I am not a fan of milk teas, so I asked to get their Blackberry tea with Boba and grass jelly. Then, I was told they did not have blackberry tea! Not cool to advertise something and told they don't have it. There should be some sort of signage letting people know that they are out of certain items! So, instead I opted for their Raspberry tea. I was standing there waiting and waiting for my drink, I didn't hear anyone call my name! They had my drink sitting on the counter without me realizing it. What is the point of asking for a name if you don't use it! I wish they would of told me that their fruit teas were made into a slush consistency. I thought it was actual flavored tea! I do like how they use real raspberry, that gives it a real authentic taste! I opted out not wanting the milk foam on top. We came here on a Saturday night around 6pm. It was about half full. It's nice to see more cafes and restaurants opened up in the Freeport area. Drinks I like that they have seasonal fruit available for their fruit drinks/teas. Their most popular drink is the mixed passion fruit and you will not be disappointed! My son had the mango smoothies and it was not too sweet...just perfect. The ice red bean hit the spot on a warm day in Sacramento. Food Tealicious have your basic tea house appetizers. Popcorn chicken, chicken wings, and etc... My son and I had the ramen and it's very good with four choices of brooth. My husband likes the beef stew noodles. He said the beef was very tender. They make their own noodles here, so its very fresh. They started offering individual hot pot. I'll update the post when I have the opportunity to try it. If you are near Freeport in Sacramento then you have to go to Tealicious. You know how you have a couple of go to places to eat, well this is fast becoming one of our families go to Chinese restaurants in Sac. Couple non food related things that I liked. One, it was 115 degrees that day (no joke) and they have excellent AC and immediately asked us if we wanted water. Also EURO 24 was on at that time and they switched the tv channel so we could watch. Now for the food. Portion sizes are big, so be ready to eat. We ordered the bbq and rice and ended up taking a lot home. Prices are decent but again, you'll get a lot of food and the service is fast and friendly. One thing I'll say is that there isn't much parking just one pretty narrow parking lot. A new boba spot...you already know I'm there! It's located on Freeport and the parking can be tough, but luckily we pulled in right after someone was leaving. The place was packed when we arrived, with a full waiting area on the left and the tables on the right. The menu is pretty limited, but maybe it's because they're new. They have snacks and a few meal items, but I wouldn't consider it a full restaurant menu. The drink options are scarce..I almost feel like there are more topping options than actual drinks! I wanted to order the strawberry fruit tea with milk foam but as soon as I asked for boba in my drink, she said no that wouldn't work and said it would change the flavor. I begrudgingly changed my order to the basic black sugar jasmine milk tea with brown sugar boba instead. It tasted okay but nothing special. Some of the boba were warm and chewy, other pieces were harder. The workers here were frantic and it seemed really chaotic and unorganized. There was nowhere for us to wait since the waiting area was full of people waiting for their tables, so we were in the way where we were standing. One lady at the cashier was yelling at the workers making drinks, telling them to hurry up! For a place called "Tealicious," they should really have more tea drinks to offer! It's a bit misleading. Came here twice and the beef stew noodles were amazing both times. There is a choice between noodles or rice. I like the flat buckwheat noodles a lot. The chunks of beef stew are so soft they fall apart in my mouth. There are chunks of ginger in there cooked to perfection where there is still a good crunch but soft enough to chew and digest. I tried the grapefruit fruit tea and the pineapple fruit tea. The teas are actually slushed with salted cream foam on top. Both were made with fresh fruit. The pineapple fruit tea had little blended chunks in it. The grapefruit was delicious if one loves that fruit. Their base sweetness is 50% and it is perfect for me. I don't like sweet drinks and I usually ask for 25-50%. Great wooden decorations everywhere from tables and chairs to dine on to shelves for decor. There is a little section to sit at to just drink the boba or tea for mingling as well as a waiting area for Togo. The seats r leather chairs and cute mini tables. Staff is always very nice and helpful. Keep it up!!! My new go to spot near work. read more

Cute little boba (and ramen m) spot. My son and I were traveling back home and stopped by here. It's a new place, does feel new. I wish I had time to stop and eat.
