Our kitchen sink backed up and the grifters who are part of our home warranty network said it would be a couple of days before they could send someone out. With the looming prospect of cooking dinner with a sink that looked like a dump site, I found an ad for Team Rooter. They had someone over within 2 hours. Frankie was polite, courteous and knowledgeable. I learned that a garbage disposal is best left unused. He tried the cleanout but that was clogged so he rootered the pipes twice. Even taking one apart to clear it. The $99 was well worth it. I'll certainly call them again if the home warranty grifters don't feel like working. read more

We initially called them to unclog a drain pipe. They recommended to hydro jet the pipes to remove the blockage and we agreed to that work (an additional $495). They told us that the hydro jet of the pipes did not work and that there was a crack in one of our pipes that had allowed roots to enter the pipe and that it needed to be removed. We reluctantly agreed to this work (an additional $1291) and a that's when started to have an uneasy feeling about the work being done. The plumber removed and replaced the 3ft section of pipe and immediately took it out to his van. My son asked to see the pipe so the plumber went to the van and proceeded to make a phone call. When he returned with the pipe there was no visible crack in the pipe and a small bit of roots had clearly been stuffed into one end of the pipe. It was clear to us at that point we could no longer trust them. The next day they were scheduled to return and hydro jet the lines and run the camera down the pipes. I had my son watch the process, during which it was discovered that there was a broke plumbing snake in one of the pipes from a previous plumber. This was clearly the reason for the blockages. The supervisor pinpointed the location of the broken snake, a mere 3ft from the pipe that was removed. The supervisor said the only way they could remove it was to go back under the house and remove that section at an additional cost. It was even more obvious to us now that the incorrect pipe was removed and replaced. There was no effort made to correct their mistake and we decided to cut our loses and find someone else. Not impressed with Team Rooter. Look, the technician was nice but I didn't have strong confidence once he left. The initial job was for a fill valve/float replacement. That was fixed. However, a new problem arose once he left. Now I have a hairline fracture in my tank that now constantly runs. I didn't have this before and now the toilet has to be completely replaced. This went from an easy job to much more complex. The technician wasn't super punctual either. Also, ad says they have military and first responder discounts which is not true. No discount given. I would try a different plumbing business. read more

I selected Team Rooter for a major plumbing job in my 80 year old home based upon Yelp reviews. The job was really difficult and involved replacing over 50 feet of 80 year old pipe. They were able to do it without trenching and with a minimum of disruption. They managed all of the permitting with the City of Santa Monica (not easy) were extraordinarily communicative and used amazingly advanced equipment to diagnose the issue. The supervisor Israel communicated with me every day and sent videos and photos explaining the problem and his recommendation for solving the matter. I have already hired them again to replace an old tankless water heater. I would offer an unqualified recommendation to use these folks. read more

I called friday set up a appointment for 9 to 11 on Saturday morning. I recieved the 69 dollar discount confirmation on arrival. Brian and his assistant jesus arrived at 930 no issues. At roughly 1100 Brian realized he would need heavier equipment to move on. Roughly arpund 1230 he returned with kenny a manager and the proceeded to work my main line and scope it. Even when all seemed loss and a possible collapsed line they worked it. At the end of the day my line is clean honored the price and were outstanding as service providers. Called this morning after the competitor (Avant) failed to show up. I found these guys through Yelp - w a quick quote and the same day 2 hour window appointment. The whole process was easy - when the technician was dispatched, the company sent me the technicians name & picture - Daniel came within the less than 30 minutes into our appointment window, assessed, quickly worked on the clog. I paid $90 which seemed about market price. He wore a mask and boot socks inside the house, had good communication. I will be calling them again (but hopefully not anytime soon). One of the spouts on my bathtub was leaking non-stop, which is a horrible position to be in when DWP is your service provider! Yesterday when I turned the knob to stop the leak the pressure blew out the knob leaving a hole in the wall that flooded the entire bathroom. Isaiah patiently removed all the (ancient knobs) to make sure there were no more leaks and went to two different locations to find the knobs that fit perfectly! This company is a waste of time. We had a clean out accessible to snake the kitchen drain. The sink was on the first floor, single-family house - basically the job description answered all the requirements for a $44 clearing unclogged drain as advertised. When the technician arrives he goes we are not able to snake the drain because the garbage disposal is old. We said " clearing the drain through the cleanout has nothing to do with the garbage disposal" Then he said "well if you want me to do the job I have to charge $550 to replace the garbage disposal" All they are doing as their advertising a low price just to get their foot through the door. I called Team Rooter, my third plumber quote, to come and hydro jet a pipe because the pipe was leaking and it was old and just wanted to see if it needed to be changed completely or just fixed where the leak was. They came out and performed the Hydrojet ($495) and found the pipe was in poor condition and needed to be changed completely. Team Rooter told me I need to change the pipe 30' of abs/pvc, plus the valves, the vertical pipes and change the wood next to the pipe because the wood was wet. Quote $4,800 with the exception that if I allowed them to do the work they would take the hydrojet cost off, now ($4,205) to complete this work. The only reason I hired them for the hydrojet, was because they were the only ones available in the area for the time I needed them. They thought they had a female homeowner who didn't have a clue about plumbing and plumbing pricing. Unfortunate for them they got a licensed general contractor and I knew what they were telling me was BS. I called another plumber and got the work completed for $600. They changed the 30' pipe and the valves, and there was no need to change the vertical pipes or the wood. Do anyone see anything wrong with this picture? Beware ladies and gentlemen. Do your homework before hiring services, even as a licensed contractor they still tried to cheat me. read more

My sewage backing up into my house has been a problem for many years. I usually need to get it snaked every couple of years. It happened again and because of the virus situation, no one was answering their phone so I just started calling numbers frantically and this was the company that was number 10 on the list.
