I've been on a quest to try every Brown Sugar milk tea at every boba place I visit, and this has been my favorite place so far! S E R V I C E: They're open a lot earlier than other boba places around, which is very convenient. There was the same person at the cashier and also making the boba drinks, and someone in the back probably making the food. They do require masks to get in, so don't forget yours! It was a little hard to hear the cashier, but he was very professional. B O B A: Their brown sugar milk tea is deeeeelicious. It was creamy yet light at the same time, sweetness wasn't overpowering, and the boba was cooked to perfection. I wished to my fiancé that the cups for this drink came in larger sizes, but he said they were probably thinking about our health as well haha! Finally, a really good Tonkotsu ramen broth! After our favorite place left, we have tried EVERY single place in concord, Walnut Creek and pleasant hill. OMG, is it just me or the mascot of this boba shop is super adorable? Okay, that might not be important, but I thought it was worth a mention cause it was one of the things about this place that grabbed my attention. Alright, so we were in the area on a Sunday and we decided to give this boba shop a try. We got a few drinks: Original/Signature Milk Tea with Boba - I asked for 30% sugar and I thought the sweetness was just perfectly as per my order and expectation. The tea flavor came through, and the milk drink was pretty creamy. The boba was well cooked - chewy and perfectly sweetened. Hokkaido Milk Tea with Boba and Pudding - We asked for normal (100%) sugar, but it tasted like 30%. I'm not sure if they messed up since we asked for the other milk tea drink to be 30% sugar, or if their Hokkaido drink was just much less sweet than their other drinks (I doubt it though). Passion Fruit Tea with Boba and Passion Fruit Jelly - This was pretty good and refreshing. I thought the toppings went well with the passion fruit tea. Each drink was about $5 at a regular size. To upsize it, it came with a 50 cents extra charge. A poster at the shop indicated that the had happy hours from 7 pm till closing time - 15% off but not on some food such as ramen etc. read more

Saw this new spot as I was in the area shopping and of course, I had to give it a try. Opening a milk tea shop I think is challenging for anyone, especially when you have competition across the street. Still, I always like to give new places a try and help support as much as I can. They have a typical menu I see in many milk tea shops. They have milk teas, fruit teas, food and other drinks. My eyes immediately was drawn to earl grey, since that is my preferred milk tea flavor. The price also seems fair and affordable and the staff were helpful and kind throughout the service. Earl Grey MT: The drink was pretty good. I had a sugar of 80% and 50% ice. I also went with regular boba. The tea had the flavor of Earl Grey, and that is a plus for me, since not many milk tea shops I go to keep that flavor profile in their drink. However, I should have went 100% sugar, because it did taste a little bland after sometime. Still, not a bad drink. Overall, I would consider coming back here again. read more

Located in the College Park, this store is very convinent to get to after school or even after work! I'm a regular here, mostly for their food. There is more to Teapot than just milk tea. Their food is amazing as well.  Their ramen was excellent in quality! I love the Tonkatsu Ramen with Soft Shell Crab, but all of the other options are also really tasty. The calamari and the spicy popcorn chicken were both amazing! It was cooked to perfection, coming out crisp and juicy. The Crème Brulee dirty latte is an absolute "can't miss" drink!! Let them know to put the soup in a separate container if you are ordering the ramen to go. They messed it up once, they had both the soup with the ramen, and it was so bad that I couldn't even finish. They do not take cards if the purchase is below $10, but they take venmo which is fine. The staff seems to be a little harsh sometimes but they will accommodate your needs. I think they may need to work on this as sometimes she just yelled at me. There are 2 things you need to know: first is to call ahead to order, it will take a while. Second is never use UberEats or DoorDash, your ice will melt and your food becomes very soggy and chewy. read more

Diablo Valley College students, come to this location. It is a good place to go for a boba drink. I forgot what business was here before Teapot. I do remember it use to be a Quickly years ago. Teapot is a nice place to go get a boba drink. Not only do they serve drinks but they also have food to eat. My drink was good. Not a bad taste when I had Jasmine Milk Tea. You know it is a Jasmine Milk Tea compare to the one at Quickly. It can be busy at times. It is worth the wait to get a drink. I recommend having Teapot. read more

My order: earl grey milk tea with boba, Okinawa milk tea with pudding and boba, ginger milk tea (hot). All 30% sweetness. The earl grey tasted artificial, overly blunt and overpowered every other ingredient. The Okinawa milk tea was a little blander than average. There wasn't an option to customize ice levels. The boyfriend and I wanted to try this boba place for a change and we're glad we checked it out! We got: - WHITE PEACH OOLONG CREAMA: good balance between the fruity sweetness and tea flavor - DIRTY BOBA: this seemed to be their specialty, but we thought the drink was just alright. It's quite pricey for the portion size, around $6 for a pretty small drink. The milk and brown sugar flavor was fine, but I think if I am craving a brown sugar boba drink, I'd rather go to Purple Kow. They have a better brown sugar milk drink. - POPCORN CHICKEN: Delicious out of the fryer. And quite spicy! I'd say this is a middle range boba place. I'll just keep this review fairly straight forward since, let's be honest, nothings really changed since the previous spot was here. The drink quality, the food quality, everything is basically the exact same, and nothing that indicates to me anything has changed from the numerous times I've been here ever since the shift in "ownership". The staff is still the same, and yes, even the owners are still the same, but what's changed mainly is just the line of drinks they offer (very similar), and the food offered (very similar as well). What is slightly different now of course is that all those specialty drinks that i-Tea offered are no longer offered here, but I never really partook in most of the fancier ones anyways, so that's not impactful to me. The food menu as well is very similar, and with some minor additions, of course, more rice bowl items which is a nice addition. I've been told that future changes will of course happen with the drink and food menu, other promotions as well, so I will wait and see how those progress. Currently, my main gripe is really to do with cup sizes, as they only have one size. Deprived of my larger size is just, just...*flips table* Kidding for the most part. My main gripe with this location actually has more to do with speed. I am not sure if this is due to the need to maintain quality for all the drinks, or what the actual issue is, but they take a really long time to make drinks, far longer than other boba places. If it's busy, then that's fine. But there are many times where there is either a short line, or no line, and the drinks still take roughly 10-15 minutes to come out for some reason. While this can sometimes be attributed to new hires, and they're learning, many of these times are when the regulars who work there are there. This is still one case I've yet to crack with this place. In any case, just as its "predecessor", the place is still pretty much just the same. I'm not sure how often some of these people who notes that there's been a "substantial change" actually visited the location before, because to me, the quality of both the drinks and the food are basically the exact same, minus the cup sizes for awhile of course... read more

Plenty of parking and possibly a great hangout pre-Covid (as I've only visited during Covid) Today was my second time trying this place and I've liked my drinks and snacks every time. Absolutely loved our drinks today. We ordered the coffee milk tea (30% sweetness), the watermelon crema (30% sweetness) and fried fish cakes. I ordered through door dash at this place twice and it a hit/miss. The first time I ordered the Jasmine milk tea is unbelievably yummy. Very light taste and mild when it's cool. The second is ehh, I ordered the same but instead they forgot the milk and it's taste very bitter like dark chocolate. Teapot is located in the College Square plaza. I believe it used to be an i-Tea. It is a quieter plaza with plenty of parking. I came here a couple of times to study as well, but their hours do not follow the ones posted - they close earlier than posted. I ordered my usual - a jasmine milk tea with boba. The milk tea was sweet, but it tasted a bit bitter with a slight creaminess to it. The boba was chewy and melted in my mouth. I used to go here a lot since my work place is close by. We order egg puff, calamari , popcorn chicken . Hokaido Milk tea, pineapple fruit tea. The lady who take our order is so rude, I told her to please give me so time to check out my email cause I know that I have a free drink. Instead of being patient she's trying to give me this weird look and keep on saying the total amount that I need to pay even though there's no customer behind me. Anyway, she take our order with out asking how much sugar level or how much ice we want it into our milk tea. It ended up that my hokaido milk tea is sugar free. My friend pineapple fruit tea is like so so. Ice level is like half way of the cup. Im not being exaggerating but it's true. Egg puff is fine, but the fried calamari and the popcorn chicken are horrible. Sorry but this is the 1st time that I experienced that our order mess up. We couldn't eat it . Calamari is hard and so so spicy. Popcorn chicken are so spicy to the point that we can't tolerate the spicy level. The lady that take our order didn't asked if we want some extra seasoning or what . I order so many times in this place but this is the 1st time it happen . I hope the manager will do something about it. Popcorn chicken, chicken wings, and drinks are good. I'll never order the pork cutlet again. It's $9+ tax and tip, and you get 4 small slices that don't even cover the bottom of the small container. I really wanted brown sugar milk tea and this happened to be the closest boba joint to us that served this drink. I ordered two identical drinks- brown sugar milk with boba 30% sweet, but for some reason the two drinks were not identical. One was appropriately sweet, while the other was too sweet. The less sweet one was very good and the boba balls were soft and chewy. We also got a egg puffs which were also very good. Not too sweet and soft on the inside while being crispy on the outside. Seeing previous reviews I see they have had issues on consistency of drinks. Hopefully they can fix that because they do have good drinks and food, but inconsistency is a big no no in the long run. read more

Teapot is one of my favorite boba places in the area. I do like the drinks at a few neighboring boba spots, but my son and I love the fact that Teapot has both food AND drinks. The food is really good, too! We order the tofu and chicken a lot as a snack, but the ramen is great when we're in the mood for it. I don't come in here too often but I guess it's often enough - the staff is very friendly and even refer to me by first name when I come in to pick up my orders sometimes. :) One tip if you're looking to get in and out: order online! Depending on the time of day and time of year it can get really busy here, so ordering ahead can be really convenient. I've found that lunch and after school times (~2:30-3pm) are probably the busiest times to come in and stand in line. read more
