In the middle of placing my order, there was an irate customer screaming at the girl taking my order. Listen, it's super hot and it's lunch time, of course things are gonna take longer. This isn't life or death, there is no reason to treat another person the way that woman did. And the way the employee handled the situation was beyond professional so kudos to her. Teaspoon is my favorite boba place so far. Their drink is very light, and the sweetness is less sweet than other places (i dont like too sweet food). I order lady bug drink with no sugar. You can taste the tea very well and not overwhelmed with fruit flavors. The taro ice shaved is very soft and not too sweet. I think their flavors combined wisely. However, there were many customers there but there were only 2 employees. I hope they have more employees at the time that the store is crowded. It tasted like instant Lipton tea. $5 was WAY TOO much to spend for a classic milk tea without any toppings or creams. I gave them an extra star for the comfy seating and free WiFi access. Ive been to the teaspoon in Campbell, and the one here is really not too different. Its def a new spot here in RWC, and being that theres not too many boba shops around this area, I'm grateful for this teaspoon. We went on a wednesday night. There was no line, but idk if its cuz they just opened, but there was like no ac... It was liek 8pm and it was soo stuffy in there. The drinks were solid. Teaspoon is more known for its specialties than their tea drinks, so i went with the grapefruit garden. It was goood! I got it at 75% sweetness and 50% ice. The grapefruit flavor was strong, but i enjoy it. Their passion fruit drinks use real passion fruit which is always a pleasant surprise, since that passion fruit syrup is.... mehhh.... You get a large cup but the tea was very diluted. I would rather have a smaller cup that has more flavor. Bubbles were also flavorless.

4/6/2018 9:56pm I come to this location at least once or twice a weekend because it's fairly convenient compared to the other locations. Drinks here are not too bad but service here is fairly bad. The cashiers are young and don't seem to know too much about good customer service. There were three employees tonight. A guy and two girls both with dark hair and one wears glasses. I order my usual which is a Liquid Gold with almond jelly. My total is usually $5 with a topping and $4.50 without. I was a little confused in why my total costed more than usual but I didn't really want to ask questions. I asked the girl without the glasses what creamer they usually put in the Liquid gold and she stated that it was the organic creamer. I was a bit confused because on their menu, it just states "with cream" and anything with the organic creamer says it like the thai iced tea and such. I didn't want to question it but I eventually did because my drink didn't taste the same. I order this at so many of Teaspoon's locations and it always tasted great. I finally decided to ask what type of creamer it was and how come I got charged for the organic cream when they said "it came with it already" both girls stated that if their system "automatically" charges for the organic cream unless you ask for the non-dairy creamer. How come when I buy drinks every weekend I have never needed to "ask for the non-dairy creamer" until tonight? She later asked if I just wanted my $0.50 back. It's not even about the money. The girl remade my drink but it tasted watered down I didn't even touch it. In the pictures attached, you can see that even if you order on yelp the system doesn't "automatically" charge for the organic cream because it doesn't come with it. We called the San Francisco location and the manager answered our questions and said that the girls were wrong as well. I don't know if Teaspoon is a franchise but they need to re-train some of their staff here. I know it's a new store but maybe it will be on par as their other locations. read more

Considering I gave this place a second chance, I am unfortunately disappointed yet again with the quality of both the service and the drinks. After already once having an issue with this location over something that was clearly a discrepancy between the staff and the chain-wide menu, I returned on Saturday night only to be displeased when I noticed the staff talking under their breaths obviously about us. I decided not to have my drink out of fear that they might of done something to it or have treated my order differently than anyone else who comes to this establishment. The workers are supposed to represent the company and all I can see on saturday and sunday nights are immature teens who can't get over criticism made to them. You should take people's criticism and try to better yourself. The drinks also lack in quality, compared to other locations. This shouldn't be an issue if they all followed the same recipes and guides. If I could give this review a 0 star, I would. I don't think anyone would like to be treated differently and singled out just because you brought an issue with the location out to light. read more

I heard mixed reviews before going here, so I came knowing it could be a hit or miss. Unfortunately, it was a miss for me. Their drinks are on the more expensive side of things, and after I took a couple sips, the price was not justified. Their teas tasted really watered down and low quality - it seemed as if sugar was the ingredient that "stood out" in the drink, and it definitely stood out too much. The drinks are way too sweet with way too little tea flavor. I joke about this a lot with beverages, but the drinks here are pretty much sugar water. I tried two different drinks here on two different occasions thinking that some items on the menu would be better than others, but it all ended up the same. Worst customer service. The cashier Put in the wrong order (one should be milk tea instead of regular tea). When I tried to tell her the right order, she does not listen and gave me an attitude and made the drink wrong the second time (this time one was missing ice). But I didn't wanna wait for them to remake the drinks so I walked away. One of the drinks was not sealed properly and it spilled on me. I walked back to have it resealed. The same worker automatically added the ice and resealed when that drink shouldn't have ice in it. I normally like teaspoon but never going back to this location ever again. read more

This is the new trendy and upscale boba drink store in the bay area. I love Teaspoon, quality drinks, my favorite is the matcha with boba drink. The matcha is very fine, and the cream is sweet and not overly creamy. My go to place during lunch time. The stuff greets me and actually knows my name. Pretty cool! read more

Out of the 3/4 times I have been here, customer service has been poor. Also if you've earned a free drink, they won't tell you. Then if you mention that you think you have one, they tell you to use it next time because the order has already been processed. Mind you I did no pay yet. This has happened twice. I miss Comebuy. I LOVE Teaspoon however the continous HORRIBLE service I get in the Redwood City location has been extremely disappointing. I have been going to this location since they opepend. Understandably there were some bumps along the way but it's contiuously bad service. I haven't been there in quite some time and today I decided to go back because a co-workers enjoys it. Well after waiting in line for a solid 15 minutes with close to 20 people in there either waiting for drinks, waiting to order or waiting for Doordash orders, I was finally able to order! I ordered 3 drinks, used my Five Star rewards to get a free drink to only then be told it's CASH ONLY!! I was in disbelief and upset. I didn't have cash so I walked!! The service is ok, but they are always running out of drinks. They never seem to stock well and are constantly out of either boba or popular drinks. I have been coming here since their soft opening and this always seems to be the issue. On the other hand, their drinks are decent and they have a good vibe in the cafe place overall. I've been going lately because my kids have been craving boba a lot more lately and this last time I decided to try something different and I tried the paradise lime the girl said it tasted like lemonade but it was far from it. My lime that they use to garnish my drink was black and looked old and made my drink super bitter if you as an employee know that a lime is bad why in the world would you serve it to a customer specially if you know you would not put that in your own drink.
