This was my first time trying Teaspoon. I found out about it through Yelp. It is probably one of the best boba spots in San Jose. There drinks are really good and they have great customer service. The grasshopper drink is cucumber juice mixed with lychee green tea. Its super refreshing and great for hot summer days. I'm not super big on sweets, so I decided to go for the less sweet option and it was perfect. It was not too sweet, but also not too bitter. The mango on fire taste just like a mangonada. I also liked that they use bamboo fiber straws. I recommend both drinks. All in all, I would definitely visit the establishment again. read more

Their teas are really good however the menu is quite small. They do have quick service and polite employees. I school fundraiser with them a year back and they were super sweet and efficient to work with. I would always recommend black sugar or caramel cream with oreo if you have a sweet tooth! read more

Nice cashier and employees....but the quality of the drinks are horrible. It is watered down. On a few occasions I have bought drinks from here. Taro milk tea and thai milk tea. Shoutout to the guy who was working around 12:30 today. Got a roasted oolong milk tea and it was great. Overall, the people here are really friendly and will gladly fix a drink for you if needed. I've come here a lot since they opened this location--it's definitely one of the best boba options in the area. At this point I've tried nearly everything on the menu, and I'd say all the drinks and jellies are quite good. My top picks would be the strawberry sangria and a classic hojicha. Shout out to teaspoon for having a non caffeinated, non lactose option that I can choose a low sugar level, that isn't a smoothie. I make my own (rooibos with classic lactose free milk) and get no sugar, no ice, with boba. They get my order right every time, and the honey boba is sweet enough for the entire drink. Very thankful to have this boba shop in my life. Will try out the tea traveler kit the next time I have a party, seems like a great deal if everyone's cool with the same drink flavor. My boyfriend and I came here after grabbing dinner and let me tell you that this spot makes their drinks a lot better than other Teaspoons. I used to go to the OG one in Los Altos when that first opened and that was good then, then the one up near Saratoga opened and that ruined it for me. When my husband and I saw that a Teaspoon was opening close to our house, we became worried. And with good cause- we have been here a A LOT. Soft opening, grand opening, regular opening, we were there. Great shop with lovely employees! I ordered from them with DoorDash once and the owner (I think her name is Eva) called me to let me know they were out of a drink I ordered. I really appreciated that! Many places just cancel orders if they don't have something, so it was nice that she cared enough to call me and leave a voice mail (sorry I was getting a lot of spam calls and didn't answer right away haha). Great drinks and boba! Usually ordering at a boba place the people will pour in the tea and scoop some bobas and put it in and bam it's done. But here it takes longer because the workers are brewing each INDIVIDUAL tea! the tea tastes sooo good and their boba is great too. Customer service deserves an A+. I gave this place two stars because I ordered thai tea w/ honey boba to-go for a drive, but the straw situation was confusing. Their straws are packaged in opaque material with no clear distinction between small and large straws. I thought I had the right one, but it was too small for the boba, and it turned into a mess in my car. I didn't have an extra straw, so I had to throw the drink away. They should just give you the drink with the correct straw in the first place. read more

One of the best boba I've ever had! Between my family and I, I think we've tried the majority of the menu - it is that good! My go to is usually taro milk tea, but today I tried one of the seasonals, the guava tea. Everything is always so fresh and made perfectly. Staff is always friendly and attentive. I came here with my cousin and got exactly what we expected, some nice cold drinks for a hot spring day. Legit it was feeling like summer and we were in dire need of something cold and fresh, the teaspoon location by Almaden definitely delivered. The service was really nice and the drinks are essentially what you'd expect out of a typical boba place. One note that I did find interesting was that their boba was better than some places I've been. The balls were extra chewy and( for lack of better phrasing) fun to play with in my mouth lol. This place is so close to our home now that we come to get drinks very often, and the drinks are consistent every time, from sugar level to the taste to the chewiness and sweetness of the boba. Prior to the pandemic, if I was over in this area, I'd normally go to T-Zone. But Teaspoon is now my go-to spot. I like that they don't use syrups to achieve various flavors, and their Grasshopper tea is probably one of my favorite drinks. Add some Aloe vera, and you've got the perfect summer drink. read more

Update: 4/26: I am updating the review to 3 stars. There was a follow up from management on my review and I was told actions will be taken to ensure below does not happen with any customer. Will visit this location again and confirm if their service has improved or not. ***************************************************************** I don't want to give them one star but I had a really bad experience with their service today. Went to Teaspoon today and ordered three drinks. The third drink gets split into two as its for my kid. When I got my order, I saw the the drink for my kid had lots of ice. I requested the lady at the front desk to see if they can remove the ice. She obliged and proceeded to remove ice from the drink. After removing some ice, she shows me the drink and checks if its fine now. My answer was no as I had requested ice to be completely removed. She did not like that and her response was 'we cannot do it as this our specialty drink'. She was rude and I was taken aback by her behavior. I requested her to go ahead and remove the ice else I will not be able to accept the order. I am happy to pay extra if thats what they want. Service experience was bad from that point onwards and the drink was just placed on the counter without further checking whether the drink was fine, or saying goodbye/thank you, here is your drink etc which I felt was rude.
