Okay, so my review is based on a phone call with the owner, Christian. I was about to purchase a new washer and dryer and felt overwhelmed. One bit of advice I'd read involved reaching out to whoever would inevitably service your units if/when they broke down. My Mom's LG refrigerator was starting to act up and the freezer section was not freezing anything. I looked up some Yelp reviews and the first person that I called did not work on LG. I continued on to Teckrom and they assured me that they did in fact work on LG products. Cristian called me on the phone and went over a bunch of questions to make sure that everything was in order. He was very thorough as he was dealing directly with LG to get some warranty parts for us. Once the repair day showed up, Cristian showed up exactly when he stated. He worked on it for a long time and most likely did more work than he had anticipated. He honored the original quote for labor and did not charge for extra parts. Cristian was very business like and never stopped working. Once he was finished he cleaned up the area and got the refrigerator back to it's original glory. It was nice to not be upsold on extra parts and labor. You can tell that he knows exactly what is going on with the units as he always has an answer immediately (I heard him take multiple calls while he was working). Super professional outfit. Cristian is great! Contacted him late on Wed night on Yelps, he responded within 5 minutes. He was here the next morning to fix the fridge. He identified a few possibilities as to what the issue might be and began the proccess of eliminating them. In the process he cleaned the drain, the condenser and made sure all the wiring was connected. He left to go purchase the part that he finally narrowed down as the only possible issue. In the meantime the fridge began functioning as normal. I phone him and he said we will hold off on installing the new part because it could have been lose wiring. He didn't want me to pay more if it's not needed! Its a day later and the fridge is still functioning normally. My fridge cooling system seemed to malfunction and I tried some basic fixes and it didn't work. So I asked from an appraisal and Chris got back to me with a ball park figure quickly and I set up an appointment for him to stop by.Though he wasn't able to fix my problem he educated me on the possible malfunctions as well as maintenance procedures of my fridge ( I've never heard of fridge maintenance but like any machine you need to maintain it for it to function.) Chris's was able to narrow down the problem but it seems due to lack of maintenance much of the parts are in disrepair and that if I spend 500 dollars to fix one part, another may break down in a year and I will be spending more 100s to fix. In the end I decided to buy a new fridge as it was 12 years old anyways. Chris was very professional and gave me lots of info on fridge operation. For the future fridge I will be keep maintenance and hopefully allow my fridge to last 20 years. Even though I could not fix my fridge, I liked Chris's honest and straight forward assessment. He showed upped on time and was very polite( he took off his shoes before coming in my house, I know to some people that's not a big deal but I am Asian, and that shows a lot of respect). I work with computers a lot and is quite aware of the consequences of ill maintained hardware. Sometimes it's cheaper just to get new hardware. read more

The icemaker on my Samsung refrigerator quit again and our Bosch oven decided to stop working. I called and they said they could show up immediately or if I'd give them a day or two to make sure they had the correct parts for the probable cause of the problems they could do it most likely in one visit which, since it wasn't an emergency worked best for me. They set a time and showed up promptly. Radu was very personable and knowledgable. He diagnosed the ice maker and showed me why the fridge was having trouble cooling. Completely and throughly cleaned the parts that were reducing the efficiency of the cooling section and replaced the ice maker with updated parts that had the latest factory changes to address the problems with this ice maker. Now both work perfectly. He diagnosed the oven and it was either the heating element or the control board. He brought both parts so he could see which was causing the problem. Turned out to be the heating element (yay, it was a lot cheaper!!) so he replaced it and the oven works perfectly now. I really appreciate the honesty, they could have replaced both but they didn't want me spending extra money when I didn't have to. I'm very happy with the price and the service and they are now my go to company for small appliance repairs. I'm comfortable giving them my highest possible recommendation. Prompt, honest, fair and knowledgable....can't get better. read more

Our 4 year old refrigerator/freezer was not cooling properly so I looked for strong reviews for appliance repair companies. Teckrom came up very strong, and was also noted to be an authorized repair company for our refrigerator brand. Cristian responded immediately and was able to get a repair technician to our home the same day. Cristian's integrity is superb. He told me that, although it appears that I only had a 1 year warranty, the compressor (the likely failed component) actually had a 5 year warranty. Further, if I arranged service directly through the manufacturer I'd have no labor or parts charge. He wanted to make sure that if I worked through him I understood the labor charges. Super-honest and clear in his communication. We wanted assurance of same-day service so had his technician come out. The technician (Radu) was super-professional and clear in the work he was doing. The repair (replacing the compressor and associated parts) was efficient and unobtrusive in the house. It worked like a charm and Teckrom made it clear that if we had any concerns, they'd be right back out to assist. We had an unrelated problem with the ice maker just after the compressor was fixed. Cristian had Radu come out the next day and he diagnosed and repaired the problem in 20 minutes, with the only charge being a nominal inspection fee. I'm super-impressed with the talent and integrity of the Teckrom team. I'd have them out again unquestionably for any appliance repair needs we may have and strongly recommend them. read more

I had used Teckrom over a year ago with their service fixing my refrigerator and was happy with their service. I rarely ever post reviews but the following experience prompted me to do so. Over a month ago I noticed that the refrigerator is not cooling and reached out to them. Christian who I later found out was the owner promptly responded and came over the same day however late it was. After inspection, he asked me to unplug and remove all food and leave it for 48 hours. Meanwhile he spent a great deal of time educating me and my son on the mechanism of this brand from how to store and use the door handles to the seals of the doors. He even went as far as taking the water dispenser out & cleaned it. He also went as far letting me know that there is a recall on the Icemaker and I could call and have Samsung replace it for free. It was broken and I had given up on using it and did not want additional cost to fix it. When he returned two days later and inspected the fridge he found minimal issue that he took care of. I restarted the fridge and he checked on the status every day for 3 days via text concerned that I would be without a refrigerator over the weekend. Not only he saved me from buying a new refrigerator but did not replace and bill me for something that was not needed. Thank you Christian & Teckrom. Amazing service and people!!! The technician that came to my house and the other 2 people I talked to on the phone were very friendly. Their diagnosis of what was wrong with my dishwasher was correct. When they came to repair it, it was done quickly and the technician again was very nice. However, they quoted me $45 for the service call and said if they did the repair it would go toward the final bill. After the initial service call, the technician wanted $65. Probably just a miscommunication with the office. They came on a Friday and had to order a part. The technician said the office would call Monday to schedule the repair. They didn't call. I called Tuesday and they said they were fully booked and couldn't come out until Monday. Since I had already paid the service call fee, I would have expected to have the service done more quickly but I understand sometimes companies get busy. My appointment was Monday between 4:30 and 5:30pm. At 5:15 I texted the person I had been communicating with. He said the technician was very ill and he didn't want him in my house since I had young kids, which I appreciated. But they could have called before my appointment time so I didn't have to sit around at home. After the repair was done, the technician gave me the total and I asked if that included the $45 service call. He said that was a separate fee. I showed him my Yelp messages where the company said the service call fee would go toward the repair. No argument at all, but another miscommunication. If I hadn't been paying attention, the final bill could have been $65 higher. Overall I was happy with the actually dishwasher service and the friendliness of the company but there were too many miscommunications. read more

I opened my 5 year old Samsung refrigerator and found my new milk curdled. I did some research, made some phone calls and got some bad advice. Then I looked on Angie's List and Cristian from Teckrom called back, took stock of my dilemma (a weekend with no refrigerator and spoiling food), and he came to save my refrigerator. Cristian was prompt, professional, extremely knowledgeable, competent, clean and meticulous. The refrigerator needed new parts which had to be ordered, but Cristian was able to fix the problem enough for the fridge to continue running until the parts came in. He examined the appliance completely, explained and addressed the problems in detail, and did not ask for money at his initial visit, even though he'd already invested time and work. He returned a few days later to install the new panel and ice maker, as well as making sure that the unit was in it's best condition. It now runs better than new. My washing machine is 7 years old and I want to get the most use out of it, but not break the bank in the process, which the person I spoke with assisted me in doing so. Finally a great appliance repair company which actually repairs them as opposed to charging for service call and then suggesting just to get a new one! Gabriel came for the dishwasher and fixed it. I then asked him to look at dryer which the other company said needs to be replaced... in 20 minutes and about $200 the dryer was repaired! All my appliances decided to strike and stop working. My samsung refrigerator stopped cooling for the 2nd time in the past 90 days. I had it serviced by Tekniton the first and they had a 90 day guarantee. That would be great, if they'd answer their phone or call me back. So I called Christian instead and not only did he pick up the phone, he came that same day instead of the week it usually takes tekniton to get there. Most appliance repair businesses wouldn't touch my Samsung fridge, but he specializes in them so he knew what the problem was just by my description. Turns out, tekniton didn't even replace the part they said they did, and this time he took care of the issue and gave me a 9 month warranty. I also mentioned my dishwasher wasn't working and someone had come by to take a look at it last week. That guy told me it needed new parts and I was better off buying a new dishwasher. So we paid him for the consultation and planned to buy a dishwasher. Christian checked it Out after he was done with the fridge and fixed it in less than 10 min. He said we didn't need a new dishwasher, but if it broke down again he would give us our money back so we could use it towards a new dishwasher. All this was done in about an hour and he left before my baby, who was asleep before he got there, woke up. And not to mention pricing was great! I can't believe I went as long as I did to get my fridge fixed. Water kept pooling in the bottom of my fridge and I would weekly change out the towels after they became sopping wet before it leaked out onto my kitchen floor. I did this for a year. Finally I YouTubed the problem to see if I could fix it myself. It said the likely suspect was a clogged tube. Sadly, there were no videos on YouTube to tell me how to find this tube to unclog for the model fridge I had. Thank goodness for Yelp and I couldn't be happier to get Joseph to come fix my fridge. I loved his honesty and he was easy to talk to. He suggested I try defrosting the fridge as it could easily fix the problem and save me money but I didn't want to wait any longer. He gave me a reasonable estimate of the cost and I gave him the green light. He showed me that the problem was a clogged tube. In my case, it was ice formed in the tube. He was able to melt it with his steamer. I didn't realize how dirty my freezer was, too, and he went above and beyond to clean it and wipe everything down for me. It only took him about an hour to fix and thus, I was able to save all the stuff I had in the freezer. Joseph said if I continue to have the problem to call him but I might just be able to fix it myself now, now that I know how to get to the tube! Thanks Joseph for making my day! read more

Gabriel is the most genuine technician I have ever met. Our first repair was several months ago on our fridge... he was quick to respond, easy to schedule and showed up on time to the appointment. He was delicate with our fridge as he had to open it up to fix the broken components. I appreciated his work ethic! Then last week my dryer broke... ugg, the worst as mom with young kids!!
