Above and beyond service in repairing my LG refrigerator water filter. On time, communicative and reasonable.

0/5 STARS Frauds! I had these guys come replace the touch screen control panel. It worked 1 use and the oven began locking the door. They wouldn't come look at oven before the repair. Said pictures would be all they would need to diagnose a repair. If you have a brain, you know thats wrong allready. Well they were DEAD WRONG! They charged $387 for repair(new oven is 800). i called to have them see if they want to come see if there is anything to be done. They said "Thats a different part, but we can get a quote for the new repair" Now im out 400, and need a new oven. you never even looked at the oven, you are a fraud and a thief and a con man. read more

We had An LG top loading washer almost 10yrs old that stopped mid cycle. Requested a call back after hours and received a call promptly in the morning. After a short phone consult we narrowed down the potential issues and explored possible warranty coverage on a few items. Service tech Gabriel arrived as promised and fixed the problem. Cost was less than expected in the estimate. Gabriel was polite, courteous and took great care to protect the floors and cleaned up afterwards. He wore his mask the entire time which I greatly appreciated even though we were all fully vaccinated. The positive reviews here are spot-on. Gabriel and Christian from Teckrom helped me with an extended warranty issue with a broken wine cooler. Ultimately, the cost of repair would have been higher than the fridge was worth. Teckrom negotiated directly with the warranty company to my satisfaction for a reimbursement check that covered the cost of a new cooler. (Shout out to New Leaf warranty for a pretty easy claim process.) Teckrom even hauled away the broken fridge. Super quick response time, and called me back a few days later to make sure the warranty company honored their agreement with me. Simply fantastic! Teckrom has saved our bacon multiple times now. First time was for our LG dryer. It's less than a year old, but earlier this year it simply...quit...drying. The drum would spin, but no heat. We had one company come out and look, they said it would need a new control board, and the repair would run us $1,000! Thank goodness we had Teckrom come out for a second opinion. Their tech said the dryer was basically fine, but one of the fuses was out. 15 minutes and ~$200 later, it was running again. So when our washing machine *also* broke -- flooded the garage where we have it installed -- we called Teckrom again. Once more, the fix turned out to be relatively quick and painless (the sensor that detected the drum was full of water needed replacing). Teckrom came through again! The *third* time, our dishwasher broke. Wouldn't drain, though I cleaned out the drain and filter I could reach. Their tech came out, found the problem (a lump of metal that had somehow gotten into the drain pipe!), and fixed it, again, all with no fuss, no stress, and no big hit to our pocketbook. Every time, their techs are nice, masked, and full of advice for us to keep our machines running well into the future. Hopefully nothing else breaks in the near term, but if something does, we're calling Teckrom! read more

Okay, not great at all. Problems with LG fridge, and Teckrom is a certified repair place. Gabriel came out (he got good reviews by other Yelpers). He said he knew what the problem was, and he replaced the part for $90, but it was EXACTLY the same. Clearly, that part did not need to be replaced. He left, and it still was not working. Came back a second time (free since it was not repaired), still didn't work after he left. Came back a third time, and charged me another $100 for yet another part. Frustrating since had he taken the time to figure out the problem in the first place the repair would have cost only $100. I am out $90, which isn't right. He should not have charged me for the first new part since clearly he replaced a part that was working fine. Will look for another repair place next time my fridge needs repair. read more

I've had Teckrom come out twice to fix issues with my washer/dryer combo and both times the service has been excellent! Before my first visit I recieved a call to get a quote. Cristian was kind and very transparent about pricing which I appreciated. Both times that I've had the technicians fix my washer/dryer the employees were all really nice, professional, and they were able to come out pretty quickly. They explained what they were fixing and gave me a heads up about future maintenance that would be needed without pressuring me or trying to upsell me on the original repair. Cristian is very busy, but so long as I was a bit flexible he managed to get me in sooner than I'd expected. Although there were some scheduling problems, what are you gonna do when your technicians call out sick. We have these troubles at my work, so I get it. Arrived on time to evaluate my oven which isn't really an exact science more than it is a process of exclusion. He ventured what part needed replacing but clearly stated that there is a chance that this was not going to necessarily fix my issue and would come back and re-evaluate if that was the case. Had a washer that was doing nothing. Easy to schedule an appt to come out in a day. Found a broken propeller in a motor and fixed it on the spot...but still didn't work...it's the mother board. Christian was awesome at considering options (including not fixing but replacing). Ultimately we went with it and he was able to get it fixed in another day. He also worked with me on labor costs. We wish to compliment Teckrom, from the owner to his technicians. We called around to a few different companies, and Teckrom gave us a reasonable price. We had an issue with our double door oven, which was also built in to the wall. We had to get the cooling fan replaced. Teckrom ordered the part, and within a few days, the part came in. Joseph came out to make the repair, but because the oven was set inside the wall, he was unable to fix the problem; it was a two-man job. Within an hour, we received a phone call saying two technicians would be at the house within a couple of hours. Joseph and Alex came within that time frame and set about repairing our oven. They worked quickly, carefully, and professionally, and in no time, the job was finished. They tested the oven before they left, and it worked perfectly. When my mother visited me, she said my washer was making a weird noise. One month later, I still disregarded her comment. And one month later my washer broke down and wouldn't drain the water. I have to keep reminding myself to listen to my mom. . . Teckrom was quick to respond to my Yelp inquiries. I was first told two people would come to help. But he thought he was saving me money by only having one person come to check my washer out. Unfortunately, my washer was too heavy for one person to take out of its space so a second visit had to be organized. The technician said he would call me in a couple of hours to schedule a second visit. I decided to be proactive and call Teckrom myself. The receptionist was bubbly on the phone and was really helpful in organizing my second visit. She also explained to my clearly the timeframe of ordering the parts etc. The second visit was a success because two people were there to left the washer. These guys came out to my house for the first time a few months ago. The service was great, but not cheap IMO. Well, this is one of those times where you get what you pay for. They've since been to my house two more times to handle warranty work, and all of the labor costs were covered by my original visit! So after the costs of my first appointment, this has turned out to be a great value! They were very responsive on the phone and also very quick to get me on the schedule to come back out. Review Updated: I had reached out to get my dishwasher repaired because it was no longer draining. I paid for a technician to come out and provide a diagnostic and quote for the service needed. The owner Cristian gave me a quote but would not send anything in writing, not even in a text, about the repairs and parts to be replaced. When I asked for him to send me at least a text listing the parts to be repaired, he said he didn't matter if they replaced anything as long as the dishwasher worked after. Well, I don't know about anyone else but when I pay for something that is supposed to take into account parts replacement (drain pump and drain hose), I actually expect the parts to be replaced! I don't believe in this policy of not putting things in writing, so I decided to hire another company that was great. They are clearly worried about people shopping their quotes to other companies, which I can understand even though that wasn't my intent. Their diagnostic of the repairs needed was correct but I can't comment on their work since I have not used them for our repairs. That said, Cristian issued a refund for the visit without me asking, so I can at least say that they are honest. read more

Joseph is absolutely adorable and so smart at repairing my dryer. in this day and age when there is so much negativity it is refreshing to have someone come to repair my appliances who is happy and laughing and so efficient. I was telling my neighbor who used Techron at sometime in the past and she remembered him also and how wonderful he was. he even brought a big vacuum in and cleaned every inch of my dryer inside and out. also the price was so reasonable. read more

Very unprofessional. The owner himself. Led us to believe that he could fix our dryer. After 3 attempts he was unsuccessful. He had let us to believe that he could fix it and unfortunatley that was not the case. When he promised to reimburse us we felt relieved but again we were let down. He ended up not responding to us. Wanted to call a repairman for our dryer that wasn't producing heat. But The person on the phone was extremely rude and just turned me off immediately. I asked for a quote for fixing a dryer not heating up and he refused to give me one without lecturing me about not buying a new dryer. He was condescending and interrupted me whenever I asked for an estimated quote with a lecture about fixing the WHOLE dryer, not just the heating element. After all that, i said, yes, so is there no estimated quote on fixing the whole thing versus just the heating element? He went on and said he doesn't want to give too low of an estimate. So, I asked There isn't a way I can have a estimated quote without paying an inspection fee? And He ended with "I'm just trying to help you." They're sales people more than anything else. I didn't want their service since I couldn't even get an estimated range unless I asked for it 3x. I ended up watching YouTube video on replacing parts for the dryer thermostat and bought the parts on Amazon for $11. Dryer is working fine right now!! I'm relieved to not pay $65 just for these salesman to tell me it's broken. read more

Yes another time they saved me. Our LG refrigerator died. It was our fault. A combination of various forms of mistakes on our part. First Gabriel came out and diagnosed it and then Cristian came and did the repair so it was fully working, and then Gabriel came out to do a maintenance cleaning. Christian worked with us so that it was reasonable as it is an expensive fridge, and to get it done as soon as possible. We have only had great experiences with them. I feel lucky we have a repair person to call. They are quick to respond and figure out the problem, and will tell you if it's worth getting something new (as they did with our washing machine) or to repair (our overpriced fridge). Wish we had that for all the stuff in the house that breaks. read more

Beware of this shady company! Let me start off by saying that I was a repeat customer of this company. They used to do good work, but not anymore. Their technician Gabriel tried to rip me off by selling me parts that I didn't need. The refrigerator only needed to be defrosted, but he tried to sell me a plastic cover for $150, when there was nothing wrong with the cover. Then he wanted to charge me another $300 for the service. When I called the owner he was rude AF, talking over me and not letting me get my point across. This company thinks that they can talk however they want to customers. In the end, I unplugged the refrigerator, let it defrost, plugged it back in and it worked. Here is an update on my interactions with the owner. Today he text me threatening to sue me if I did not take my posting of his company down. The technician was 20 minutes late. He is the one who mentioned YouTube, not me. I have over 26 years in the Maintenance business, so I am not your average customer that will believe anything the technician tells him. I unplugged the refrigerator, used a heat gun to melt the ice and plugged it back in. It works great. The owner claims that the refrigerator will not work more than a couple of day. I will keep the Yelp community posted on how long it works. The only reason I called this company to help is because I am a disabled Veteran that served this country for 25 years in the US Army and it's hard on my back to make this repair. read more

Problems: 14 year old LG Washer and Dryer issues. Joseph was great: the most informative appliance repair person we've ever had come to our home. He fixed the dryer problem perfectly, advised us against additional repairs that were not necessary, gave us recommendations for reliable appliances when needed in the near future, answered all questions patiently. He also took at a look at the 14 year old LG refrigerator, assessed its problems and how much it would cost to fix them and advised us that it was probably not worth the expenditure given its age and likely demise in the near future. He didn't charge for assessing the refrigerator. The charge for the visit was extremely reasonable. Best appliance tech we've ever met! read more

Teckrom did a panel replacement service for me that was set up by LG corporate (as Teckrom is a certified repair center.) LG supplied the OLED panel free of charge, so I just owed Teckrom for labor. Service was fast and efficient. Communication was good. Gabriel was very nice and accommodating during the visit, particularly since the tv is 65" which makes it a bit unwieldy. Everything went really smooth overall. Product is working great after the repair. My only complaint is they are exceptionally expensive. The actual work (which was simply electronic assembly, moving circuit boards from one panel to the other) took about 30 minutes with the whole visit taking less than 45. The charge was $395...that's more than my lawyer makes per hour. Still, that's a lot less expensive than fully replacing the OLED TV, particularly since it's out of warranty, so I'm overall happy. read more

I contacted Teckrom twice this year to get their help on my LG refrigerator. Back in May, my LG refrigerator suddenly died in a Thursday night. I called Teckrom the next day and they quickly dispatched Radu to help me within about 2 hours. Radu was very professional, skilled and efficient. He quickly diagnosed the problem was the compressor and replaced in about 2.5 hours. Everything then started working properly again. The another occasion was in July when I noticed that the freezer of the same refrigerator was accumulating ice in it. Radu came again and identified it was due to the gasket - there was some gap so the outside air went into the freezer. He put the old gasket up side down as a temporarily solution before he could order a new one. He also fixed the ice dispenser - Radu found the wiring issue avoiding having to put in a new one. In general, I have had very good experience with Teckrom - they are very responsive, professional, skilled and efficient. I will definitely contact them for any appliance issue (of their specialty) in the future. read more

4 year old Samsung dryer began screeching and tumbling off balance. Called Teckrom, they showed up on time, had the dryer apart in just a few minutes, showed me the bad roller, and had it back together in no time. The technician, Cristian, explained and showed me everything he was doing, the difference in the old part and the better engineered new part, cleaned everything and even cleaned a filter in my Samsung washer I didn't know about. Had a dryer that stopped working and called several places. This place was the only one that was able to come the next day. Technician Erick came in the morning and was able to fix my dryer in about an hour. He was very nice and even played with my nosy dog LOL. Our 2 year old Samsung fridge was leaking water and the freezer wasn't freezing...looked on yelp for who to go to for Samsung refrigerators and Teckrom seemed to be the best choice. Called them up around 11am and was told they might have a tech available but would have to check. The called me 10 minutes later saying a tech would be by between 1 and 3pm. Gabriel texted me at 2pm telling me he was finishing a job and would let me know when he was on the way. Once he arrived, he took his shoes off. Didn't have to but appreciate the gesture. He saw the fridge, poked around and he said he thinks he knows what happened. After checking a few things he said it might be 1 of 2 things. 1 was easy(cheaper) and 2nd option could be more difficult(compressor). He took the freezer apart, steam cleaned it getting rid of the ice buildup and dried everything...after putting the fan back in, the fridge started working correctly again. Fan worked, compressor worked, fridge was doing its job again. That was it! No parts just some adjusting and cleaning. So happy with the work Gabriel did! He could have charged us for a new fan and we wouldn't have known the difference. Highly recommend Teckrom! read more
