This location is AMAZING. The staff are very friendly and it starts with the Manager Aaron. He greeted me when I arrived and quickly got me in for the requested service which on my dually were the brakes. While here I asked about an oil change and fuel filter change. The work was done in a timely manner and if you have a loyalty card, oil changes are 50% off, just ask for Kyle. It's hard to find a place where first they treat you with respect, they are honest and they are efficient. So needless to say I was a little apprehensive about coming here as I've always gone to the dealer. They are cheaper than the dealer and much friendlier and more trustworthy in my opinion. Two days ago, I started hearing a noise on my 236k mile Honda when I hit the breaks. I started to test the brakes to make sure that wasn't the case and it wasn't. Then I thought oh "shiitake mushrooms" (I'm trying to cut back on my profanity)... It better not be an engine problem. I always take care of my vehicle's needs: oil, tires, alignment, brakes, and the basic maintenance. This is why my car has lasted so long and the fact that it is a @honda is a plus for longevity. I was slammed with clients the other day, but I needed to find out if I was a threat to the road so off to @tedwienscompleteauto on Ft. Apache I went! After explaining the condition of my car, Aaron grabbed my keys and took it for a spin around the parking lot. He said, "Your brakes are fine, but it could be a drum against your brakes making that noise. I say take it in for a look within the next couple of days, but go accommodate your clients." I felt like I was part of the family. I went back in today and he was able to give me results in no time flat. I asked if I owed him any money and he said, "No." He said that my brakes were dirty and they needed to be cleaned. They were filled with brake shavings and dirt. It's astounding how that can make such a ruckus but better on my bank account. What a relief! It is so nice to know that I can take my car to someone I can trust. Aaron and Kyle have helped me over the years, keeping my car in the best shape possible. If you take care of your car, you won't have payments for many years. I was able to qualify for a half a million dollar home because of it. It's better to have a good debt to income ratio and invest your money in real estate (see @thesharkjr -- I trust him too) as opposed to debt on wheels, most likely depreciating. So care for your vehicle wisely, by keeping up with maintenance @tedwienscompleteauto and invest wisely with @thesharkjr. I would give zero stars if I could. They quoted me over $3000, and I got a second opinion and it is under $900. One of the parts they said I needed was over $1400 and my car does not even have that part. And I did have to pay $200 for the diagnostic test, which i guess the place I took it would look it over for no charge. I had trouble and went to the nearest place I could find. I had a slow leek in my tire. I kept re-filling it with air which would last a week before needing to refill it. My neighbor suggested Ted Wiens. He said they had been servicing his car for years, and were honest. I went to see them to find the leak and plug it. I spoke and worked with Kyle. After he had his mechanic research it I was told by Kyle, it was the worst type of problem, a nail in my tire. He then wrote an estimate to replace all 4 of my tires (WO#0584564). When I asked why all 4, Kyle said the tires were from 2017. Replacing all 4 didn't make sense to me. I left and went straight to Walmart, who plugged the tire, for free, in minutes. If you have a necessary repair and go to this place of business, I'd suggest a second opinion as they seemed dishonest. Took my car in because one of the tires was quickly losing air and had a metal piece in it. Kyle welcomed me in and gave me an estimated time of an hour to hour half to get the tire checked and either repaired or replaced. Turns out, the tire needed to be replaced. Kyle thoroughly explained what my tire options were and I was able to make an informed decision on a suitable, yet affordable replacement option. My total visit time was just about an hour, which is right around the estimated time given at the beginning of my visit. My experience at this location was amazing! This location has an employee named Kyle that went above and beyond to help me determine an oil leak . I was told I needdd a new oil pan gasket by zip zap auto and mine is only 2 years old . In fact this Ted Weins business on Cheyenne street replaced it with a new oil pan and gasket . The car was diagnosed with a crank seal leak . Not an oil pan gasket leak . I had my car towed to the Cheyenne location yesterday as it was making such a loud noise while driving I didn't think my car would make it to this location. I was very disappointed in their service as they couldn't diagnose the problem and I left with a broken car that has some new oxygen mixing problems, I paid 190.00 for diagnostics at the Cheyenne location and they didn't see any issues with the car. It now sounds like it has either a broken damaged muffler or some other exhaust issue which is obvious when you start the car it's really loud . I bet Kyle would have diagnosed it properly and I am just sick that I have this unresolved issue . read more

Close to home. I don't trust the private shady back door mechanics on Valley View and at other inconvenient, crowded strip malls. So I went in with a friendly attitude and came out 2 hours later pissed off. I had an appointment for that morning for a 2 hour job. 2 hours later my car hasn't been touched. I put my car in for a regular break pad change. First time out the car starts squeaking which it hasn't done before . Took it back , car came out not only squeaking when I press the break but also while driving. Took it back (3rd time) . They said they will change the pads again and the rotors . Car comes out still screeching. Went back for the 4th time . Manager said there was motion he can do and refunded our money . EXCEPTIONALLY dissappointed in this location overall. I pulled up to ask a question the guy half @$z me to park i aaked over here and pointed to an area of the lot he sarcasticly responded is it an open space?? STILL tried went inside to be ignored by 4 staff members walking by multiple times. FINALLY 5-7 minutes later someone greets me and asks what i need help with. I tell him i need my tire plugged. He told me aprox 45 mins wait and $20. I sit down. 40 mins later he calls me up and says the nail is too close to the non tread part to plug it I'd need a new tire $135.00. I said thank you; left and went to a tire shop 4 miles away who plugged the rire in 10 mins for $15.00 I KNEW ibshould have stuck with Sun Auto but i didnt listen to my inner voice. WHATEVER YOU DO....... Do not go to Ted Wiens.....! Save yourself the headache. They have very inexperienced technicians that only know how to put air in your tires and try to up sell you. I went there for an alignment on a truck, I took them the alignment spec sheet from manufacturer, sales man said sure no problem we can do it..... (all brand new parts put in less then 10 miles on them, ball joints steering linkage, hubs, control arms, etc...) They said I needed different ball joints all new steering set up bc they couldn't get it to spec.... Refunded my money and told me to go somewhere else.. took it to samurai auto. They are amazing got it done perfectly showed me everything that they did and for cheaper than Ted Wiens. Highly recommend SAMURAI AUTO, ask for yoshi he's very knowledgeable. read more

This location of Ted Wiens is not where you want to take your car to be worked in. Sadly, they do not meet their commitment when it comes to timely service. My daughter's car needed some head/cylinder work done. I realize it is an extensive job, but extending the weekly deadline twice (and now maybe a third time) is completely unacceptable. Every time I have been there they hav only a couple of people in the shop and they are primarily standing around. There is definitely not enough workers to meet their commitments. I have had to finance UBER rides, mass transit rides for the last month due to this company's failure to meet their stated deadlines. I have no idea about the quality of their work because I have yet to be able to get the car back. Based on their lack of commitment to meeting deadlines, I am extremely concerned about the quality of their work too. I cannot, in good conscious, recommend this location. Do not trust any statement coming from their managers at all. They are named Kyle and maybe Aaron. Frankly, are patronizing people who obviously do not care about getting a job (overpriced as I have come to find out from a different repair location) done. Go somewhere else and save the hassle of dealing with these people! read more

First time customer here, they were able to squeeze me in same day last minute which I appreciate. I kind of knew all ready what was wrong going into it. They confirmed it and shot me an estimate which I felt was on the high side and gave an explanation that they needed a few days and how it needed to be done etc. Being a service writer myself I knew they were stretching it a bit and decided to call another place I was familiar with to get a price on the same job. The place I called was about 45% cheaper on the repair. Ted's quoted me 1150 plus tax I was able to get it done for $650 plus tax big savings in my mind. While I do appreciate them seeing me same day and providing a quote chances are I won't be returning. read more

Upon recommendation I took my Veloster in because my engine light came on. The first rep was nice and courteous. So was the second, KED, at first. Catalytic converter was replaced. Only after adding an additional cost after they failed to honor their estimate. First red flag I should have ignored. The converter was replaced and told to run the car hard and it would be ok. The next day my car blew up. My insurance rep said it was an internal issue, not external so it was not covered. However, my rep KED said a rock had hit my oil pan and that's what caused the damage. Well, he lied when I asked him about it after the insurance assessment. Even made up excuses about it. He told me I had told him about the rock in the oil pan? What the... I never looked under the car. He had it towed and checked out at their shop. This is unacceptable. Without request, he quoted a used engine price at almost the value of the car. Suspicious. The manager, Aaron, and I had a conversation with no solution. He claims they do not keep records of diagnostics done on cars, could not provide codes that shops use to read diagnostics. His concession: Apply the $800 plus for the replacement engine that is $9,000 to repair. If they were not at fault why would he offer this? I'm done dealing with this shop. Typical rip off and taking advantage of someone who knows very little about car repair. Next steps: Report to DMV, BBB, and report to their corporate office. I will be asking counsel if this is worth handing. I will never understand how reps can be super nice when they want your business, and turn into nasty maniacs when called on their lies. The manager had nothing to say about the rude treatment. Nothing. That's bad business practice. Not even an apology. A huge NO on recommending for this shop. This is why people don't trust mechanics. read more
