This was our first time at Ted's, we were at the Apple Store and upon leaving we noticed Ted's and it said it was family owned, so we decided to try it! The food was excellent, best fries and burger ever!!! The restaurant was clean, though very packed and noisy but obviously expected when the food is that good! The only things of concern is I asked twice for plain ranch and but times I was brought blue cheese, and the waitress was extremely rude, we explained we are new and never been there before so we were asking some questions about the food (I have a severe allergy) and we just wanted to make sure we didn't get anything that would cause me to have an incident. She acted like she didn't want to help us and was very minimal with her answers, she kept looking everywhere but at us. Very upset with her performance. We loved Ted's brunch so much we went back for a second time. Our server was Ray both days and he was awesome! My kids loved the Mr. Breakfast, it was cute and tasty! The blueberry cheesecake tart was delicious. Everything was cooked flawlessly on both occasions. We do not add salt when cooking at home so it was more sodium than we are accustomed to, but not the least bit overpowering. Ordered red kale salad, it came with some really weird dressing, cumin seedsthree little bites of sweet potato, very questionable piece of orange and CANNED cherry tomatoes. Not a good combination. Like a small wise miniature Buddah she said Teds Bulletin, so I obliged got there and was greeted by a herd of tiny beautiful Spanish women. They got me a coffee, ba-laack. It hit the spot. Like a morning cloud in South Florida my hangover burned off rather quick. Bright eyed and bushy tailed I ordered the TUBS sandwich. It stands for "The Utterly Best Shit" out there. And it did not disappoint. Toasted bread with bubbly cheese, a combination of sausage patties and rich bacon topped with a fried egg perfectly cooked with its yolk dripping slowly like hot lava that can only come from volcanos of flavor in a jungle of dreams. It came with a side of perfectly cooked hash browns, crispy yet soft. Of course I devoured it. And was left with a happiness only achieved after sexual climax. Now I considered ordering a drink but given it was thanksgiving week I didn't want to feel like a complete degenerate and begin drinking at noon so I waited till 12:30. The adult shakes were delicious and put me back in a boozy boat of comfort. The music was 1940s classics, the decor post WW2. Loved that. The only thing I didn't loveeeee was that Esmeralda kept looking at me as I was writing this post. I feel like Ted's Bulletin has been receiving a lot of hype and success as it branched out of DC into Northern Virginia; however every time I have come to the Northern Va locations for "supper" as they call it, the experience seemed a bit underwhelming. The menu options really just present simple comfort food. I remember getting the tomato soup and grilled cheese, and I could not have received a more simply presented dish consisting of red soup and cheese between two slices of white bread. It tasted alright, but I could have made the same thing at home. Burgers are safe bets; it's just Ted's never really has be wanting to come back anytime soon. Would rarely choose Ted's over the other surrounding places in Reston or Mosaic for dinner. read more

I have been to Ted's Bulletin twice Since it opened this year and both times were good. The alcoholic milkshakes are tasty and I love how you get the "leftover" milkshake that didn't fit in the milkshake glass. My friend and I tried the millionaire milkshake which was $19.99 I believe and it was alright. I guess there is a very expensive liquor shot in that milkshake, but it tastes like the nutty professor milkshake but just not as sweet. Breakfast is good, it's hard to mess up eggs. But this most recent time I had the grilled cheese and tomato soup which hit the spot. Pop tarts are yummy too but had to get mine to go after I filled up on milkshakes and food. There was a 40 minute wait for a table and it was a Saturday at 5:00pm so we just sat at the bar which stayed pretty open the whole time we were there. read more

I had the prime rib with creamed spinach and mashed potatoes and just because I could the creamed corn. I honestly could have made a whole meal of just the creamed corn. It was that good. My friend had the Chicken Parmesan and really enjoyed it. We both had enough leftovers for another full meal each. However you can't have a comfort meal and leave of the dessert. We split the Mile High Chocolate Cream Pie and it was so rich with dark chocolate flavor. Totally worth the calories. We each took home a pop tart and I'll have to let you know how the peanut butter bacon tastes. I really recommend this restaurant to anyone in need of some seriously good food. read more

I went for brunch/lunch with my boyfriend around 1:00-1:30pm. There was no wait, but the restaurant was busy/steady and the service was prompt. Our waitress was awesome and eager to help/influence our decisions on what to get. We were very indecisive on choosing what we wanted to eat since there are so many delicious options! This is a tough one to write, a our first visit was great, second visit was good and third was a bad one. What's good: Burgers, chili and salads. What's ok: Sloppy Joe; seems that they would really knock it out of the ballpark to have it on the menu; but it tasted no better than the one I knock out at home with a can of Manwich for $1 and some ground beef. Limited selection of apps. Desert is decent, but a bit pricey relative to the rest of the menu. $3 for a pop tart? Maybe with Ala mode, but not a plain small tart. What's bad: Service. First time was good, 2nd was acceptable, 3rd was a joke. Seems that we came in on a day when two servers were training. Not sure how that went, as we waited forever for someone to even acknowledge our presence. Then forever to place order, get order, wait on refill that never came. Then once done, we had to go searching for our server to get a check. If this is training, than damn; y'all need to get retrained! Will I be back? Yes. I'd say Ted's Bulletin lives up to their "best spot for kids" slogan. Great interior, friendly staff, simple kids menu, delicious shakes, and a TV playing kids' favorite movies on a projector screen. For parents, this is heaven! Their best hit of course is the selection of housemade pop tarts. This is not your usual boxed pop tarts. Think crispy pastry and delicious ooey gooey filling (once warmed). Another hit is their milkshakes. We tried their special blueberry cake milkshake and oh yeah, it tastes exactly as it's named. As for food, a great selection of all-American comfort food. From fish and chips, burgers, even meatloaf. Portions are fairly hefty, so get ready to be stuffed! The fries are so, so good. The Ted's Bulletin in Reston is just ok. It seems like it should be a chic place but it's dirty inside...I found a towelette laying outside the bathroom in the hallway. All of the floors are really sticky. It needs painting inside. The inside tables look old and worn out...and sticky. The pastries and cookies in their display at the front looked old and stale. My burger was dried out -- way to well done and I didn't request well done. The server was nice, but the employee delivering the food was rude. It really needs a makeover. read more

I always loved coming here for brunch and getting the massive cinnamon roll. Today, they were all out it saves me on the calories though The service is always great and the keep the mimosas flowing! Probably the best brunch place you can have here in NOVA! There's a lot more choices in DC but sometimes it is a drive to go there. I decided to get the pancake or French toast stack and boy did it fill me up. It consisted of: pancakes, eggs any style of your choice, hash browns, and the sausage or you can choose bacon was extra but didn't mind it. You get to choose what kind of mix ins you would want in your pancakes so I decided to get chocolate chip. The pancakes were three to a stack and they were so deliciously fluffy. The pancakes were piping hot and the chocolate chips they added in were ooey gooey! I loved how they have a side of warm maple syrup. For the side of sausage I had, it was definitely different from your average sausage links. I can tell it was homemade and the spices in the sausage were flavorful and definitely a good try. The hash browns were probably my absolute favorite. Not sure how much butter they put but, it was very flavorful and rich so I did not mind at all. The waitress we had was very nice and recommended us to new things that I definitely want to try the next time I come back. She always came to our table to frequently check up on us so definitely a 10/10 on customer service. Overall, really good place to brunch when you don't want to go all the way to DC! read more

Horrible Mother's Day experience. Overall I am not a fan to begin with (see my earlier 2 star review), but they are one of the few places that will serve breakfast takeout during the pandemic and I ordered a brunch for my wife and family. Turns out Ted's is one of the few places that does not offer curbside pickup, so you have to go inside. The lobby crowd varied from 10-20 people, far too many for social distancing and with a third of the crowd not wearing masks. Ted's has one person up front and was so busy with the computer that she wasn't even dealing with the people there. When someone came out with my order, I just grabbed the bag and ran out. We had a potluck today for all of our employees and i couldn't find already cooked and heated mash potatoes and Mac and cheese anywhere!!!! I called Ted's Bulletin at around 10:30am and spoke with a manager to see if i would be able to order Mac and cheese and mash potatoes for 12-15 people. He accommodated exactly what i needed. Mac and cheese and mash potatoes in a pan freshly made and hot ready for everyone to dig in. I was absolutely amazed at how they got this ready for me same day within hours!!! The mash potatoes and gravy and the Mac and cheese was super delicious and everyone loved it !!!!! The cook and the manager at this location are a true definition of what customer service is and what it stands for!!! I made a reservation for New Years Eve and we showed up a little bit late and we knew that and we called to inform them and no one picked up the phone and and they when we show up they say "Oh our kitchens closing early tonight for New Years Eve and we stopped seating people at 7. Nothing we can do." So, it's New Years Eve during COVID we would be lucky if we got into another restaurant at this point (which thankfully we did) because everywhere booked. Who lets you book a reservation online and then when you show up say oh not even sorry we just stopped seating people? JUST TAKE DOWN YOUR ONLINE RESERVATIONS THEN. And people won't book to come to your restaurant if you don't want to serve them. Won't book a reservation here again because who knows if you will get seated. read more

Delicious food. We are from Little Rock, AR and visiting for the weekend. I love they serve breakfast all day so we were able to sleep in. We sat at the bar and service was quick. My daughter and 6 friends celebrated her 14th birthday at Ted's in Reston! She celebrated on Saturday September 29th at 7 PM. They sat in the back. Just wanted to say the Manager and Servers were the best! They were polite, helpful to a bunch of 14 year olds, and even brought her a slice of birthday cake with a candle and sang! Ok... So I have been here twice and I got my food to go both times. First time I had the pop tart and the second was for the Ultimate breakfast sandwich. Good: The Pop tart is a must try... NOTE: TRY! After that its up to you if you try it again. Its good, but I don't see me ordering it again. I think its the price. Its not really high, but its not low enough to where I would buy a few at a time. I think if it was price lower I would have tried all of the flavors, but I just picked one. It was good, but no reason for me to try it again. They are missing something for the returning customer. Bad: The TUBS (Teds Ultimate Breakfast Sammy) was bad. There is nothing ultimate about it. You get 1 egg scramble, 1 egg fried hard, 1 flat sausage, 2 piece of bacon 1 slice of cheese and 2 slice of bread. That is what you get in the ultimate sandwich. The eggs were ok. The sausage was not good at all. I don't know what type of meat it is, but its not good. I took it out. The bread was soaked in butter. Over all Teds is ok. The staff is always friendly. I recommend trying them out, but not that TUBS. read more

Came in for a late brunch (after 11) with a few friends. Calling ahead was a good idea as the place was pretty much full, although I'm not sure we would have had to wait long for a table either way. We were promptly greeted by our server who returned with our drinks and to take our order shortly after. She took our order with all customizations noted and no problem (such as asking for a fully cooked egg with a benedict or extra crispy hash browns). It took a normal amount of time for our food to come out with everything arriving as expected. Note for people who like crispy hashbrowns, these are definitely a good crispiness level, and also soaked in butter (I personally think butter tastes better than straight oil). While three of the people got a crabcake benedict, all who finished their plates so it must have been good, I opted for the omelet with spinach, mushrooms and swiss. Only complaint I would have is that there should have been a little more cheese. We all also asked for pop tarts to go. They tasted more like hand-held pies than anything else. Beware of the falling sprinkles if not eating with a spoon or fork. I would like to return to try other breakfast options or even some of the other entrees which looked equally good when walking by other customers. read more

Convenient post Apple Store Friday night dinner spot that was pleasantly surprising. First impression is a quaint little upscale diner which to me means comfort food. Loved the menu selection and I want to return and try breakfast sometime in the near future. Service was great, not too fussy and just right with the drink refills. Hubby had a delicious Reuben and we were told they make the corn beef in house. I had a huge delicious fried steak while not as good as my own it was a delicious substitute. Will definitely put this on the rotation as a family favorite for when hubby and I can't agree on what to eat, as there is a great variety of comfort foods to choose from. read more
