Excellent barbecue! I love adding my own sauce, instead of already having sauce on the barbecue. They have several specialty sauces to choose from. We had pork barbecue, beef brisket, chicken barbecue, green beans and coleslaw. All of the food was excellent. The restaurant is clean and cozy. They also have a lot of craft beers to choose from. No frills, just a nice clean simple atmosphere to enjoy terrific BBQ. I had the brisket with sauce on the side, the brisket dosen't even need the sauce. The corn bread is really good. I usually dont like corn bread but this stuff is on the sweet side,delicious. Like a sweet corn was used to make it. The restaurant inside is very clean and the bathrooms are clean and tidy as well. BUYER BEWARE, YOU'RE IN FOR A SCARE! Honestly, it really takes A LOT for me to leave a review on anything, even if the food/service is absolutely tremendous. However, after reading a majority of the reviews on here, I have concluded that they're fake or have absolutely ZERO taste in what good barbecue tastes like. I guess if your weekly diet consists of the nightly Steel Reserve tall boy, a pack of Marlboro Reds, and a Hungry Man boxed TV dinner, which might be the case for some of the frequent customers that find this place acceptable, then you might enjoy this place. I stopped at TeeDawg's with my fiancée on our way to the Charles Town Horse Track completely starving under the guise that this place had some decent barbecue based on the reviews. I quickly learned how wrong I was on that naive assumption. I ordered smoked wings with ghost pepper thinking that they would actually be in fact genuine ghost pepper. After tasting the wings, which I can only assume were made some time a day or two before, stuck in the fridge, and followed by a quick 30-second reheat in the microwave, I was completely disappointed to find that these wings had absolutely no spice to them whatsoever. The server, who was a nice woman, came over to ask how they were and when I told her I couldn't tell the difference between the ghost pepper and the barbecue wings she had a very bewildered look on her face. I'm not claiming to be a spicy food connoisseur, but I have had enough peppers that exceed 1,000,000 Scoville units to tell the difference between a ghost pepper and your regular pepperoncini. The false advertisement here is absolutely embarrassing doubled with the fact that we paid nearly $20 for 12 very small, lukewarm wings. I tried my fiancée's pulled pork, and I've honestly had a better barbecue at a chow hall in boot camp. Ownership should be completely ashamed by their ludicrous prices and offerings at this establishment. People who truly care about the quality of barbecue should look elsewhere. As one other reviewer alluded to, if you want barbecue, then a McDonald's McRib would be a better fit than what this place is slinging out of their kitchen. I honestly think for the price and quality that you're better served to go into a gas station and grab whatever hot prepared food that contains generic barbecue sauce for a better alternative as well. I'm all for supporting small businesses but please do yourself a favor and look elsewhere. I'd give this place a zero if I could, but since I can not a 1 will have to suffice. read more

TeeDawgs BBQ is a small mom and pop Owned restaurant in downtown Charles town. The restaurant is clean and small. The Menus on the smaller side but they do serve brunch on Sundays. If you wanted that breakfast option. We got the three meet sampler with one side. First off let me start with the side The potato salad lacked seasoning It was bland. The three meat sampler, Was a mixed bag. The polled pork was very good, The polled chicken was so -so, However the signature beef brisket was a lit Down. There was so much fat on the brisket and It did not have that tenderness. Downtown Charles town has really stepped up the food game in recent years. TeeDawgs bbq is a great addition to the downtown scene. The brisket was fantastic, and they have several sauces to pick from - even though the meat doesn't need it. The real surprises were the sides. A lot of bbq places phone it in whenit comes to the side dishes, but not here. The cornbread was incredible - light and moist. I don't normally like baked mac n cheese because it usually comes out dry, but the mac n cheese here was awesome. Nice and cheesy without being dry, and you still get that nice browned cheese from the top. Can't wait to try it again. read more

This place has some great bbq. I tried the beef brisket, full of flavor and juicy. I really enjoyed the Wholly Moses bbq sauce, they had about 6 different sauces to choose from. While I was there they actually brought out a sample of new sauce they were working on and let me try it. I had two sides baked beans and macaroni. The baked beans were a little sweet but I like that and it had pulled pork throughout. The corn bread is sweetened with local honey. I had to ask because you can taste that hint of honey, very tasty. I particularly enjoyed the chili, and my wife thought the pulled pork was excellent. Nice, no-frills place that left us full and happy. We were really glad TeeDawgs was opened last Saturday because my boyfriend is not a fan of thai food down the street from it. We both ordered the brisket and two sides, unfortunately all their sides apart from potato salads are mixed with bacon with I'm not a big fan. I love to try their baked beans in the future minus the pork bacon. Overall the place was nice, the adhere to social distancing procedures and the staffs are great. My husband, daughters and I loved this place. It is surprisingly spacious inside and very clean, and the employees are very friendly. Food came out quickly and was piping hot. I had a pulled chicken sandwich, macaroni and cheese and a cornbread muffin, which my littlest one promptly stole. I did get a taste of it, it was perfectly moist and not overly sweet. Did wish it came with butter, I love butter on my cornbread. I didn't try asking for any since it was stolen from me anyway. My pulled chicken was moist and smokey, wonderful with their Alabama White sauce. I wasn't a huge fan of the macaroni and cheese, it was very oily and the cheese was clumpy inside. My husband ordered ribs, pulled pork, potato salad and baked beans and loved all of it. I tried his ribs and the potato salad. I don't generally like potato salad but it was very good- tangy, flavorful and had some crunch to it. The ribs were by far the highlight of the meal, though. Cooked perfectly and not so much fat that you don't feel like you're getting any meat. My husband considers himself a BBQ critic, he is not easy to please, but even the day afterwards while eating his leftover ribs he was still impressed enough to text me about them from work.
