The worse food I had at a Persian restaurant. We had sultani dish. Kabab Koobideh was uneatable. Barg kabab was made with a weird cut of meat. I believe she used thin skirt steak to make it. The grilled tomato was only had one half of a roman tomato. Silverware were worn out. Table was so badly uneven that we had to take turn to hold it. read more

Some of the worst food I ever had in my life. Salmon - they sent it with charred skin. Even when i tried to take it off the salmon tasted old, not fresh, not moist. The rice that came with it had fried onions on top which was good for a few bites as the onion added flavor. However after a few bites it was so salty-tasting that I had to keep drinking a lot of cold water just to get rid of the salty onion flavor. And btw, are fried salty onions even a part of green rice??? Kabob that they charged almost $30 for was also charred. When i tasted the beef it was again low-quality and had NO flavor or seasoning to it. Then the basmati rice was doused in large amounts of cheap butter that made the rice way too rich and cheap-tasting. Overall, nasty food with nasty, high prices. The bakery that's a part of this restaurant has horrible reviews so I don't know why I thought the restaurant part would be any better. Stay away!!! read more

This place is the best Persian restaurants in town for sure. Moreover, it's probably the best family-owned restaurant in the city. Come here for dinner and meet the cutest couple: Simin and Farhad. I assure you won't regret. My personal suggestion is Chelo Kabob Koobideh; they use a sirloin to make the ground beef -god bless the people who does that- It's really juicy and delicious. I am Persian & trust me when I say I've been to many Persian restaurants, & nobody has ever wowed me like this place! I ordered in-person for takeout the Chelo Kabob Barg with sides of Mast-O-Mosir & Dolmeh. The Barg literally melts in your mouth; it's so tender & extremely flavorful, & the Polo (rice) was buttery & soft. The Dolmeh & Mast were perfectly seasoned! The Dolmeh's grape leaves weren't hard to chew like other places I've had them at, & warm both inside & out. The Mast wasn't overly induced with shallots, just the perfect amount, & consistency was creamy; not too watery or too thick, just right! It's as if my own grandmother made all of these dish's in her kitchen & with lots of love. The customer service was amazing, which is such a breath of fresh air during this pandemic that's created such a cold distance between us all. The place is run by a very warm and kind husband & wife whom made me feel like I was family. I am so glad I accidentally stumbled upon this hidden gem, truly a best kept secret! Nothing impressive for the $$. I would have given them 2 stars if it wasn't for the fact that I noticed a rather large bug (legs and all) in my Greek salad for two! I was disgusted! We went to this place wanting to try something new and it did not disappoint! The dolmen appetizer was wonderfully fragrant and a tasty way to start. For the main course, my date ordered chicken soltani kebab (which was incredibly tender), and I got tasty lentils in a dish called adas polo speciality rice. I write this review especially because of the wonderful conversation I had about Persian and Indian culture with the restaurant's owners. The owners are couples from Iran and like any other Persian people, they were super warm, very welcoming, and chill! I loved the ambiance and the food. I had ordered a Salmon kabob plate and it was pretty decent. The lady next to me ordered chicken kabob and that looked fabulous! Man this was amazing. I got the Ash e Resteh Soup and Adas Polo and oooff it hit the spot. The soup was an Iranian noodle soup which is perfect for rainy nights and smelled amaaazing. And the Adas Polo was a great balance between sweet and salty and very filling. Also the portion size for it was HUGE. Could easily cover 3 meals if you wanted. read more
