Visiting LA for a few days and decided to drop by because of the good reviews. Did not dissapoint! Takes me back to my time in tehran. Everything was amazing, super tender and flavourful. Maybe the best Shishlik (lamb rack kabob) I've ever had, including in Iran! The koobideh (ground beef kabob) was incredible soft, moist and tasty as was the sultani. The eggplant appitizer also went very well with the complimentary bread. Food was 10/10! Not to mention beautiful resteraunt and really friendly service! Everything about this place made me feel like a kid in iran again, with even better food. Would definitely reccomend! read more

TehranRo Grill is Persian food in Korea town. For whatever reason it decided to set up shop in the middle of LA asian food district. Now, if you want anything besides asian food to eat this place is definitely a standout restaurant. Prices are in the 20s range and focus on kebabs and grilled food. Comes with rice or you can split 50/50 with a small salad. You can also make your rice "cherry" style which adds cherries to it and makes the rice a tad on the sweet side. It's worth a try if you like things sweeter and it's something I haven't ran across very often. Now, the hummus... I'm not sure if it was how it was made that day but, it is the most garlicy hummus I've had in my life. Take it for what it is, depending on how much you like garlic. Overall, great food. read more

Valet is offered just outside of the restaurant for $4. The restaurant is clean and nicely decorated restaurant. We had the juicy chicken kebabs with the organic salad and it was amazing. The salad was fresh and tasty. The chicken was tender, juicy and delicious. The white rice was amazing! As we waited for our food, there was probably 10 people who came for pick up orders. We are regulars and as always absolutely love everything we order here. Order online or on the phone, service is fast and everyone is always friendly. Food is not cheap but not expensive, but the quality is definitely top notch. We always order the salmon entree with rice and salad, and of course a side of hummus. The hummus is my favorite. I had to organize lunch for a staff retreat in ktown. I have folks in my team that are gluten free and dairy free so with this info I have to throw out Asian and Italian options. Found this place through yelp and tried it out myself first for a family meal and everyone including the kiddo loved it. So I ordered the 10 person catering meal for $170 that included beef koobideh, chicken koobideh and skewered chicken breasts. Had roast tomatoes, jalapeños, and basmati rice along with salad, hummus, bread, and minty yogurt. It was a hit with everyone. Hardly any meat leftovers at the end. We have tried most if not all the famous/ well known Persian restaurants in LA and the valley and so have pretty high expectations when it comes for Persian food and let me tell you that this place did not disappoint. Starting from the the Kashke badamjan, perhaps one of the most authentic one we have had yet and the juicy juicy kabobs omg! Simply delicious! If you live around the area, you really don't need to drive to the west side or Glendale to get amazing kabobs. This place is delicious. It's never really busy inside ever I've dined in. Went here on the recommendation of a friend. He said this was the best Persian restaurant, and he wasn't wrong. The inside decor is tastefully done. I believe there's upstairs seating as well. There's even an outside patio with a fountain. So we have already been to this place twice now. Everything here is really bomb, the chicken kebab though is the star of the show. It's so tender and flavorful and juicy! Even the shish kebab with filet is really yummy. The first time I did order the eggplant dip which was definitely different from anything I have tried before. Which is a good thing, as it was quite delicious. The hummus is really one of our favorites. The cherry rice wasn't my favorite but definitely had a unique flavor. And I have to mention the salad dressing! It's a house made creamy citrusy dressing. The Nutella cheesecake to finish off our meal was a nice touch. The service has been excellent each time. Lamb shank is one of my favorite meals, and I've had a fair share throughout my life -this is right up there. Probably one of the top three best ones I've ever had.. This was the place where my love for Mediterranean started. The kebab of this place has to be one of the most juicy and tender I've ever tried. It isn't the best tasting but it is still so freaking good. The meat is so tender that you wouldn't even need a knife to slice it. It also comes with a lot of pita bread-- there was like 20 bread. On both of my visits, I went with a friend and each visit, we were unable to finish the rice. My only complaint would be their service. They were attentive at first but fell off towards the end. We had to walk up for our check. But the booth was cozy with nice decorations. Additionally, the place comes with free parking in this garage with the "California market." In the beginning, it was wonderful. Service was great. Food was tasty and delicious. I ordered the shish kebab with half rice and half salad. The chicken was tender and nicely seasoned. Now the salad...they were not chopped in good proportion like just put everything in there. So when it came down to paying the bill, I said nicely to the man who was serving me, and at the same time who was there in the front. Could possibly be the owner. So I told him nicely that maybe they can chop the salad smaller and to my surprise, he answered by saying, "that's how Persian prepare the salad!" Which to my surprise, haha. I've been to a lot of Persian restaurant, and they're not chopped up as big and messy as theirs.
