Still eating here after they opened a few years ago. Food is still amazing. Chicken thighs dinner is now one of my favorite things on earth. Their lamb shank is equally amazing. Service is the best. Ambiance has only improved upon its already clean and cool vibe. I think I may go there for lunch again today. Still basking in the glow of the amazing meal we had here. Overheard that they've only been opened for 15 months but wow are they doing a good job. My partner is Iranian so we had high hope and we're not disappoint. He said that their Shishlik was the best he's ever had. We split the Kashk e' Bademjan, Soltani Kabob, and Shishlik. All of their grilled meat was incredibly tender like soso juicy. They all imparted a unique charcoal taste to them as well. Every plate came with delicious rice and salad. Visiting LA for a few days and decided to drop by because of the good reviews. Did not dissapoint! Takes me back to my time in tehran. Everything was amazing, super tender and flavourful. Maybe the best Shishlik (lamb rack kabob) I've ever had, including in Iran! The koobideh (ground beef kabob) was incredible soft, moist and tasty as was the sultani. The eggplant appitizer also went very well with the complimentary bread. Food was 10/10! Not to mention beautiful resteraunt and really friendly service! TehranRo Grill is Persian food in Korea town. For whatever reason it decided to set up shop in the middle of LA asian food district. Now, if you want anything besides asian food to eat this place is definitely a standout restaurant. Prices are in the 20s range and focus on kebabs and grilled food. Comes with rice or you can split 50/50 with a small salad. You can also make your rice "cherry" style which adds cherries to it and makes the rice a tad on the sweet side. It's worth a try if you like things sweeter and it's something I haven't ran across very often. Now, the hummus... I'm not sure if it was how it was made that day but, it is the most garlicy hummus I've had in my life. Take it for what it is, depending on how much you like garlic. Overall, great food. read more

Delicious persian food in ktown. My friends and I were craving persian the other day and we were planning on going to Westwood. Instead we found this place that was much closer and decided to try it out. Lucky we did because the food was great. The koobideh had so much flavor. I really liked that they grilled not only a tomato but also jalapeno. The portions were big enough that we were able to share and still have leftover to take home. Definitely worth trying out. So, first time here. Very unassuming from the outside. Beautiful on the inside. Food was amazing. Eggplant was delicious. Come on Saturday or Sunday's and try the special with a crunchy rice on top. It's amazing. My only criticism which is a no big deal is it took a bit long to get our food but this food is fresh and made to order so waiting was worth it. Get a couple appetizers while waiting. This restaurant is located within walking distance from our office. We'd always thought about trying their food, and today, four of us decided to walk here for lunch. Firstly, I'm no expert in Persian food, so I am not going to ramble on about authenticity of the food or other irrelevant stuff. The fact of the matter is the food was great and my coworkers and I plan to eat here more often. It was definitely a pleasant surprise to find such a gem in the heart of Koreatown. We ordered the lunch special (chick and koobideh). Looking at the price, we expected small portions, but it was actually a full meal. You couldn't get that much food from fast food joints these days. Valet is offered just outside of the restaurant for $4. The restaurant is clean and nicely decorated restaurant. We had the juicy chicken kebabs with the organic salad and it was amazing. The salad was fresh and tasty. The chicken was tender, juicy and delicious. The white rice was amazing! As we waited for our food, there was probably 10 people who came for pick up orders. We have tried most if not all the famous/ well known Persian restaurants in LA and the valley and so have pretty high expectations when it comes for Persian food and let me tell you that this place did not disappoint. We are regulars and as always absolutely love everything we order here. Order online or on the phone, service is fast and everyone is always friendly. I had to organize lunch for a staff retreat in ktown. I have folks in my team that are gluten free and dairy free so with this info I have to throw out Asian and Italian options. Found this place through yelp and tried it out myself first for a family meal and everyone including the kiddo loved it. So I ordered the 10 person catering meal for $170 that included beef koobideh, chicken koobideh and skewered chicken breasts. Had roast tomatoes, jalapeños, and basmati rice along with salad, hummus, bread, and minty yogurt. It was a hit with everyone. Hardly any meat leftovers at the end. There's even an outside patio with a fountain. So we have already been to this place twice now. Everything here is really bomb, the chicken kebab though is the star of the show. It's so tender and flavorful and juicy! Even the shish kebab with filet is really yummy. The first time I did order the eggplant dip which was definitely different from anything I have tried before. Which is a good thing, as it was quite delicious. The hummus is really one of our favorites. The cherry rice wasn't my favorite but definitely had a unique flavor. And I have to mention the salad dressing! It's a house made creamy citrusy dressing. The Nutella cheesecake to finish off our meal was a nice touch. The service has been excellent each time. Lamb shank is one of my favorite meals, and I've had a fair share throughout my life -this is right up there. Probably one of the top three best ones I've ever had.. This was the place where my love for Mediterranean started. The kebab of this place has to be one of the most juicy and tender I've ever tried. It isn't the best tasting but it is still so freaking good. The meat is so tender that you wouldn't even need a knife to slice it. It also comes with a lot of pita bread-- there was like 20 bread. On both of my visits, I went with a friend and each visit, we were unable to finish the rice. My only complaint would be their service. They were attentive at first but fell off towards the end. We had to walk up for our check. But the booth was cozy with nice decorations. Additionally, the place comes with free parking in this garage with the "California market."
