Previously gave them a 5 star rating, but the mighty have fallen. Both take out meals were contaminated with live fruit flies (2-3 per meal). I didn't notice until my wife pointed them out and I'd already eaten 2 shrimp. I'm a fan of extra protein but I draw the line at consuming insects, and I'm not a fan of consuming food that served as a habitat for them. At minimal a restaurant should be able to produce food that is insect-free in a developed country. I guess I should have read their health department inspection deficiencies that mentioned insects. Since these flies vector Salmonella, E. coli, and Listeria, I'm crossing my fingers that illness isn't in my near future. Notice that the owner only comments on the positive reviews and ignores the ones that are critical. This speaks volumes.

New Christian Cajun seafood restaurant in Keller. Large and brightly lit casual dining area with large windows and plenty of natural light. I can't evaluate the food as a vegetarian but the restaurant looks nice.

I am super impressed with this new Keller restaurant! The first time we came it was midweek and not that busy. It was nice to take it all in. Love the decor of the Bible verses on the wall etc and the music choices. Ordered the fish with corn and potatoes. So GOOD! Then we came on a Friday night and the place was hopping! Longer line and it took longer to get food but it came hot and fresh. All of us enjoyed our meal. Ila's busy as it was I do wish that I could order beignets and then pick up after I finished eating. We did order 1 banana pudding that was pretty runny not set up (we have previously eaten before and it was wonderful) and I kept an eye on the line getting shorter when I finished eating to go order the beignets. I still had to wait in line for about 8 minutes. There ought to be another game plan for those. I will say well worth the wait because they were so light and fluffy!! Our table enjoyed them. This will definitely be on our go to places in Keller. Also a plus-there is absolutely no place to put a tip on your receipt!!!

This time I got a 12 oz crab gumbo which was wonderful. It had the best flavor! And so much crab meat in it! We also got an order of the boudin balls, I wish they had a little bit more flavor but the sauce that comes with them is wonderful. They do serve beer now which is really great and I hope that they also will start selling cans of wine because there are some really good ones out there. My husband got the order of the redfish and really enjoyed it.

The space is new and clean, plenty of parking. You order your food at the counter when you walk in. Loved that they had a playground for the kids and the patio was great for the kids to enjoy feeding the fish and turtle. However, there was some miscommunication between whether reservations were allowed. When we called, we were told there were no reservations. When we arrived, there were tables reserved for another party and were told we should've called for a reservation if we had a large party next time. Luckily, it was pretty empty when we arrived so we just found other tables to sit at (by the way, we were there for at least 2 hours and the reserved party never showed up within that time so they didn't need to move us!) If you're like us and are used to Louisiana or Viet Cajun styles, this IS NOT IT. The fried trio platter was your typical fried platter. I did like the option to try the fried Gator tails but at least 2 of the 6 pieces were just fat or ligaments so we couldn't eat those. Our platter was also missing a hushpuppy but it was too much of a hassle to go back to the counter to just get one. For the boils, it tasted like they were just all boiled in salt and you are given the seasoning to put on afterwards. The seasonings are basic seafood seasonings at varying spice levels, but with it already tasting like they were boiled in salt, the seasonings made it taste saltier. But since you had to add your own seasonings AFTERWARDS to get more flavor, you have to choose between flavor or more salt. The beignets were pretty dry and dense - don't compare these to NOLA Cafe du Monde beignets or you'll be disappointed. Overall, the space is great for families and if you're getting fried meals, it's okay. If you're used to boiled seafood being a particular way, I would look for other seafood locations.

I remembered this food truck and was looking forward to their opening. It's a beautiful building with outdoor seating a children's play area. Matches perfectly with the menu. Very family friendly. The tables are perfect with shell buckets built in the middle. We both had the best seller. The potato's are very nice size. Cooked well, firm and buttery. The corn was sweet and drenched in butter. The crab was sweet and easy to crack so you know it's cooked well. The lobster was a 3-4 ounce size, skewered, in shell. The shrimp are on the smaller size with tails still on but a very nice portion. Plenty of garlic butter and seasoning right in your container but it's offered with two additional butters and a cocktail sauce. I loved the garlic butter but wasn't a fan of the cocktail sauce. I'm a bit of a ketchup snob so if it's not made with Heinz I'm not likely going to like it. I won't even order fries if the restaurant doesn't serve Heinz ketchup. Over all a great first visit and will definitely return. Price point is very reasonable for what you're getting.

The atmosphere was absolutely amazing. They play Christian music. (I do recommend playing all types of gospel music). The food wasn't bad. The hush puppies and crab cakes were really good. The macaroni was overcooked yet they told us that and offered us something else . This says a lot about management and they are really working on getting right.

Wow what a great seafood restaurant. I have to super busy but the food comes out quick. If there is a mistake they are quick to fix it. The lobster here is delicious! The shrimp are on point. The alligator is great and not chewy. Crab cakes are delicious. The atmosphere here is very family oriented. They have a cool dining pier outback where you can feed turtles, fish and ducks. There a very nice playground as well. Everything is pretty clean. Overall we had a great experience, the food was best part. Highly recommend!

My wife and I went back today, Labor Day, and tried two new dishes for us: grilled shrimp & the red snapper entrees. Both were very good, sides as well were satisfying and yummy. Then we watched the fishes and turtles; there are a lot of those. The grilled shrimp plate is my wife's new favorite. Everything was very good; service is classic order, get the puck for when food is ready, pick up tray (i enjoy that change of pace). Fun family ambiance to the place. A great stop for food and casual fun. Plenty of parking.

    Shrimp Plate - small
    Sandra W.

I stopped in there to get some fried shrimp. I ordered the small shrimp plate. It takes a minute for them to prepare it so it's just five minute wait or so. You're given a pager to let you know when your food is ready. And it's hot!! While you're waiting, you can go out on the back deck and enjoy the nice fresh air and look at the turtles in the water. There's a bathroom off the deck so you don't have to go back inside. Also a fish food dispenser if you want to feed the fish. If you have children with you there is a play area to the right side of the building if you're facing it. But it's not connected to the deck. There's also a drive-through that's on the left side of the building. When you enter, it is a big welcoming space with ample seating whether it's for one person or a group. There's also a handwashing station should you need one. I highly recommend this place.

Te'Jun has a great atmosphere with a beautiful outdoor patio overlooking a pond. There's even a play area for kids and you can buy fish food to use at the pond. However, we found that the food was mediocre. The food was very bland. The red sauce helped a little, but this is not the best seafood I've had by any means. However, the hush puppies were delicious!

Food was absolutely fantastic!! Service was "meh" but its order at the counter and pick up at the counter. Definitely get the Crab Cake.

Updating because the owners reached out and really took the time to listen. They accepted the feedback without any excuses and I feel confident they'll return this location to its former standards. Very happy with how they responded and impressed with the care and professionalism

We had a reservation, which I'd definitely recommend because it gets busy especially on a Friday and parking is limited. Once we were seated, the server gave us a nice rundown of the menu. We started with the hand rolls, the Masu Tartare and Toro Tartare and both were delicious. I personally loved the Masu more, but you really can't go wrong with either. We also ordered calamari, which arrived a bit later. It was okay, nothing spectacular, not as crispy as I hoped but the rest of the meal more than made up for it. For sushi, I had the Spicy Atlantic Salmon and the Kani Koi. I absolutely loved the Spicy Atlantic Salmon...it was definitely a favorite but my fiancé preferred the Kanikoi, so everyone wins. We also tried the Kamasu - Barracuda, which was just as delicious. Overall, everything was perfect, and I can't wait to come back to try more hand rolls and a few other dishes.

I am a Sushi novice to say the least, but my grandson and daughter wanted to introduce me to his new favorite restaurant, he's 15 so I had to see what he was raving about! The only reason I gave 4 stars is, cuz I am not educated on all things sushi and the extensive menu didn't really break down what each category really meant, the place was packed so clearly it's a newbie issue. I mentioned to our server Cameron, who was so polite and professional by the way, that it might be fun to host a monthly Sushi 101, where people could make reservations and for a flat rate the attendees could learn the difference between sashimi, sushi and all the other preparations for the cuisine. People could taste and sample each type and learn a little bit, giving them confidence to put Hush in their local food rotation. I really enjoyed my experience, and will do some research on the different options so I can try some new foods, I have no doubt I can ask my server, but that would have made me uncomfortable making the rest of my party wait while I learn, this was a spur of the moment invite so I didn't have time to do research, totally my problem. I will be going back once I learn more! I enjoyed my food, the Tempura Shrimp roll, we also really liked the smoked salmon roll, the crab rangoon, and shrimp fried rice, all was delicious! Very nice place for a date night, if you like sushi you won't be disappointed!

We ordered the boudin egg rolls, boudin sausage appetizer, alligator appetizer, and crawfish with the voodoo seasoning. Everything was really flavorful and well seasoned, and the crawfish had a great kick. The appetizers were perfect for sharing and made it easy for everyone to try a few things. They also did a nice job accommodating our larger party. Our server was friendly, attentive, and handled our table well, which isn't easy with a group that size. The only thing that stood out was the manager. He didn't greet any tables while we were there. At one point he brought a dish to our table but didn't say anything, and later spent quite a while standing by the bar on his phone. It didn't negatively impact the service we received, but it did leave us a little unsure about the management presence. Overall, we had a good experience and enjoyed the food. The staff we interacted with were great, but management left us wondering. We'll still come back for the crawfish though.

I ordered a grass fed rib eye, short ribs, gravlax, sweet Italian sausage, and mild Italian sausage. I can't give everything 5 stars. The short ribs were way better than expected - I read lots of complaints about them being all fat, but mine were fantastic. We made a dinner out of them and used the leftovers to chop up into scrambled eggs this week for breakfast. The only issue I had there was that they come in a bag that is not vacuum sealed, so they looked really freezer burned and dry. I guess if the flavor was good, they were fine? But they really should consider vacuum sealing these. The rib eye was not as red as it should have been. It seemed a bit brown, as though it had slightly oxidized before being vacuum sealed. And it was very small, only 12 ounces. I expected at least a pound. Lox was very flavorful, albeit a bit leathery/dry. Again, like the rib eye, it seems like it was a bit oxidized before being vacuum sealed. Sausages were good - as long as you vacuum seal sausage, it's fine frozen and really just a matter of personal taste. Ordering and delivery process were easy and efficient. No complaints there. I will definitely try them again, with a keen eye on reviews of specific products so I know what to expect.
