Rooms looked a lot nicer in photos compared to real life. Cheap finishes. Our room smelled like urine, and the bathroom and entryway tile were sticky. The mini fridge made a loud constant whirring noise and smelled like something died in it. The room alarm clock was broken and could not be adjusted to show the correct time. They told us when we checked in around 7pm on a Friday that we were one of the last people to check in and that there were no other rooms. The second night of our stay, we went to the pool which was semi-clean but useable. However, the hot tub was filled with bugs and the water looked creamy as if no one had cleaned it in several months. That same night, after coming back from dinner, we found our bathroom to be infested with mosquitoes (killed around 15 in one sitting) and we slept with the bathroom door closed for fear of mosquitoes we might have missed. At the end, they did give us a $50 credit for the bug inconvenience, but we still left feeling disgusted and ripped off, especially for a room that cost $300/night. read more

Loved it here, yes the place is older and could use some renovation, but I personally thought that's what really gives the place charm. So long as everything is functional, and it was for our room minus the AC, I really can't complain. They sent someone to take a look at it immediately and our room was switched once they found it needed repair. Every single person I encountered in guest service, housekeeping, cork fire kitchen, etc was amazing. I hope they know their hospitality made the stay that much better. read more

Do you love idyllic scenery, understated elegance, fine dining and wonderful helpful staff? Book your wedding at the stone house immediately. From the first tasting, I was amazed by Temecula Creek Inn. As a wedding coordinator, I never quite know what I'm getting myself into, but the venue coordinators were knowledgeable, quick to reply, and super helpful. The food was 5 star, the chef even tailored the entire evening to the needs of our Gluten-Free bride with details such as popcorn on the table in lieu if rolls. The venue coordinator Jenny was an absolute joy to work with. Any assistance I needed was immediately and graciously provided, and it was easy to see that Jenny and her staff really cared about the bride and groom. OMG!! I would give "0" stars but I want to make sure that people read this review. Apparently Pechunga purchased this place since my last stay in July and hs it ever gone downhill What a bad customer service experience! The manager " Kalarae" really blew it. On our last stay we purchased discount wine tasting coupons and were told that we could get them even if we didn't stay. So off we went to get them first thing in the morning. Tiffany, who was at the desk, had no idea how much they were. After waitng 5 to 10 minuters ( and a long line forming behind us) she returned to tell us $20 each. It seemed like more than last time,  but we didn't want to hold up the line and wanted to get on our way. When we arrived at the first winery and saw that tasting were on $15, we knew there was  problem. I tried several times to call them to ask what we should do, but one ever answered. NO ONE!! It just rang and rang and rang.... The other winery, on the list THEY gave us, also charged only $15. It only made sense to pay the wineries directly and return the vouchers. We actully have been charged DOUBLE for the supposed discount. Great deal right? I finally got someone on the phone with the front desk where we made our purchase, with someone named Mirabelle, who politely said they would fix everything later. Later meant Kalarea explaining how she could could do nothing more than give us back the $40 or only $20 and we keep the $20 worth of overpriced vouchers. We explained that we had already spent $30 at the two wineries which was FULL PRICE snd $10 more than we should have because of THEIR employee's inepitude. Oh, did I mention that Tiffany, our lovely, young saleperson turned out to be a supervisor! JEEZ! Ultimately we settled on the $20 refund and kept the two $10 vouchers for a later visit. Printed on them was "hotel complimentary tastings" for goodness sake!! THEIR own vouchers!!? We asked for our money back and at least a coupon to compensate She was not budging. What if we had used the coupons and then asked for the $20 back? Kalarae was as good at her job as Tiffany was. Although she smiled like a Cheshire cat the entire time. A side note...while telling our saga at one of the wineries, a couple overheard me. A golf weekend in the last month, their credit card was charged TRIPLE the amount that was on the printed bill. They said they spent hours unraveling the mess and would never return.This place is batting a 1000. Or, using their calculations,.. would probably make it 3000. They had no sense of real customer service and there's not enough wine in the world to make me happy about how they handled a small, easily recifiable situation. I can't imagine how they deal with their bigger screw-ups. Please read other recent reviews. They used to have 4 stars and now have only 3. That's no surprise. I had purchased a Living Social deal to come stay here but the deal had to be used within 3 months of purchasing the deal. I was very surprised that the deal expired that fast but it was my fault for not reading the fine print. Anyway, we could still use the voucher for the price we paid, so luckily, after talking with the reservations staff several times, we were able to match the cost of the voucher with their recent nightly rates. We stayed Tuesday and Wed night over 4th of July. The inn was beautiful and looks to be great if you are a golfer. We don't golf but even so, we could appreciate how nice the rooms and grounds were. The inn is about 7 minutes from Old Town and 15-20 minutes from the wineries. Even closer are some local restaurants, Starbucks, grocry store, etc about 5 minutes away. The room was very comfortable but why in the world does housekeeping come at 8 am? That was very annoying. Also, when we checked out, they had not adjusted our final bill for the value of the Living Social voucher. As a matter of fact, the desk clerk was about to charge my credit card for the full 2 nights when I asked her about the vouchers. She hadn't even considered it and asked me to provide the voucher information again. Then my husband and I proceed to wait 10 minutes while she and the manager tried to figure out how to adjust the bill. My patience was so worn thin especially after our dinner experience at Temet Grill the night before. Bottom line, if you are into golf, and do not have any special vouchers to complicate things, and don't have any issues being a little far from the wineries, this would be a great place to stay. read more

The Stone House, on the grounds of the Temecula Creek Inn, is a BEAUTIFUL VENUE to hold an event! On a comfortably cool May evening, we were granted access to attend a wedding celebration in a secluded section of the golf course. (No! None of the wedding party suffered golf ball concussions!) The exit, Old Town Front St./Temecula Pkwy, off the 15Fwy, is THE SAME for Old Town Temecula AND the Pechanga Resort & Casino, so BE PREPARED for a bit of congestion there. Once parked around the Inn, they do offer a shuttle service to get you to The House. It's about a mile away with little hills on the path there. However, now is not the time to show off what a prime physical specimen you are... TAKE THE SHUTTLE! Don't wanna show up all sweaty and stank at a wedding! Also, hopefully your wedding coordinators are on point, cuz the ones running this one FORGOT the boutonnières & corsages for the wedding party back at the Inn, and delayed the wedding, waiting for them to be shuttled over. There was 1 coordinator from The Inn (black-haired) and 1 hired (blonde-haired). Not sure who's to blame, but SOMEONE did a whoopsie! Because of the distance, HAVE A CHECKLIST, and confirm it before you shuttle over. Allergies, asthma, diabetes, heart disease, diapers/wipes, AND wedding necessities... definitely MAKE SURE you got what you need! The grounds were well kept but not so level in some areas, so BE CAREFUL if you have back pain issues. There are 2 individual bathrooms in the Stone House and 2 additional fancy Port-a-Potties were provided that initially, didn't have water flow, so that had to be remedied. The long potty lines dissipated as the night went on. Wait Staff for our table was attentive. Food came perfectly warm. Heat lamps were strategically placed around the outside dining area to keep things warm as the chill settled in. Lots of space to wander with adequate lighting all around. Shuttles were dependable. All in all, as a wedding guest, this was a lovely ceremony and fun celebration. Something to consider for an outdoor rustic wedding or event. ;) read more

Hubby and I had a great stay here for a little anniversary getaway. We booked an executive resort king room with a request for a top floor room. And that's exactly what we got. Loved the decor in the room. Very cozy and rustic. View of the golf course from our balcony was beautiful. It was nice being on the top floor. Ceiling was vaulted, which made the room feel bigger. Loved the large bathroom with a double sink. Tons of counter space. I hate hotel bathrooms that have little counter space. Bathrobes were super comfy. Would definitely stay here again. read more

First visit to this hotel. Upon initial check in we were on the fence. Front desk wasn't too friendly. A smile can go a long way and in this situation they fell short. Tried to get an early check in and was told they were not available...it was 3:15 and normal check is 4:00pm. Second check in to get our key and the front desk clerk barked at us that the room wasn't ready. All in all not a pleasant staff to work with. My wife and I work hard and we need breaks. The more, the better ha... We got a great offer to stay at the Temecula Creek Inn and jumped at the chance to take a vacation. We thought it was going to be a decent place from the yelp reviews we read but it ended up being much better than decent. The scenery is beautiful and our room overlooked the golf course and a water fixture that created this sound of serenity that blessed us the whole time we were there. The rooms and buildings seem older but they're nicely upgraded and the fixtures in the restaurant are pretty darn amazing. The bed was comfortable and the pillows were nice and clean. We wanted a couple extra pillows and Nancy at the front desk had them sent to us in just a couple minutes. That leads to next part of the review: the real star to me was the service. Everyone that we had contact with from the resort was kind, attentive and helpful. Anything we asked for was done swiftly and with care. An example is us wanting breakfast but also needing to leave in 45 minutes or so, we called and got quoted a 45 minute wait for room service (this was Labor Day and the place was FULL). We asked if it could be rushed and said we'd include an extra nice tip for our server. She said she'd do what she could without making any promises but our breakfast ended up at our room in 20 minutes. That's great resort service and we loved it at Temecula Creek Inn! read more

We live in a gated community on the tree line of Temecula Creek Golf Course. One of the joys in this beautful area is to walk the trails on the perimeter of the golf course. There are signs guiding you along the way and options for a short or long walk. The trails and course were well kept until recently. The trails have standing water, overgrown with weeds, in some are it is becoming unrecognizable. There are grass clipping scattered on cart paths, fairways and run-ups to the greens, and in some cases even the greaans. I don't know what has happened but it all should fall on the laps of the managers responsible for this slow deterioration of the area. I will take picture the next time I take a walk. Was more of a hotel with golf than a "resort". I recommend it for couples and adult groups, but not families with kids. They did have large rooms, and a little patio area looking out on the golf course. Really perfect for avid golfers. Other than golf and a small pool, there was nothing else to do. We were disappointed that the resort had nothing much going on. There was a wine reception in the late afternoon with a tasting and light snacks. Again, nothing for kids, but it was a nice touch for adults. We spent our time exploring Old Town, took a breif swim - we don't golf, but we watched with coffee in the morning. I won't be back, but it is just because it's not a fit for us. There is nothing to report of service, etc, as we stayed only 1 night and had no interaction with anyone after checking in. read more

I visited Temecula Creek Inn on a Monday-Thursday for a conference. The grounds are absolutely beautiful. I didn't have a chance to golf other than a nighttime putt putt competition but the course looked well maintained. We had breakfast, lunch, snacks and dinner provided by the venue. Every meal was outstanding. Everything was made fresh. The room was clean and well kept. The biggest complaint was the comfort of the pillows. They flattened out within an hour of laying on them, so my neck did not feel great during the conference. Two of the other participants mentioned the same complaint. I would definitely go back, but bring our own pillows. read more

We have always enjoyed our visits to the Temecula Creek Inn. Our daughter was married at The Stone House, which lies in a secluded spot on their vast property. The food at the Cork/Fire restaurant is first class cuisine and the service is wonderful. They have a standard 18 hole course, as well as a more difficult PGA class course. It is a beautiful resort and we will always recommend it to all of our "out of town" friends and family. read more

Arguably one of the worst hotels experiences I've ever had. The rooms are incredibly old, the beds are terrible and you can hear anything and everything happening around you. During my particular stay, the shower wouldn't drain and the hotel refused to offer room cleaning service or even bring us new towels. The one redeeming quality about this place is the Cork and Fire restaurant but still not enough to move the needle on how embarrassed the owners/operators of this "hotel" should be. I'd recommend sleeping in your car vs staying here. read more

This was a nice getaway. I would rate this place 2.5 out of 4 stars in hotel quality. The rooms are not updated, however they were clean. The view of the golf course was very nice. We sat out on the patio and enjoyed the breeze and view. It was my birthday, so upon arrival they gave us complimentary red wine. Very nice touch. Their pool was clean and they provided towels at poolside. If you're looking for a reasonable priced place to stay for nearby shopping at Old Towne or Wineries, I recommend this place. read more

Truly disappointed with this establishment. My BF and I had a Groupon for this place. We checked in and the staff were very cordial, we were in town for a concert and did not want to drive home late at night. We decided to dine at the Cork and Fire, I had made reservations so we would be assured of a table. When we arrived at the restaurant there was no hostess and the two bartenders were watching the TV in the bar. We stood there for over 5 minutes and then the bartenders noticed us - I guess the TV went to a commercial! Once seat - dinner was delicious (Shrimp & Grits - great!). That evening when we got back from the concert, I attempted to run a hot bath. The plumbing in our room had been put in backwards, the hot water was plumbed cold and cold was plumbed hot. This could pose a safety hazard. I filled a tub with cold water - and dumped it upon the realization it was cold. In Southern California this is a waste of water during drought conditions. The entire bathroom baffled me the toilets were low the counters high and the toilet paper dispenser illogical - the paper continuously fell on the ground. To top it all off I was charged a golf green fee of $40. Frankly, when you check-in after 4 pm and leave by 11am you are not using the golf course. Not going back! read more

We had family coming in from many parts of the country to gather for a twice re-scheduled wedding. We booked 6 rooms at the Temecula Creek Inn and used their main restaurant as our gathering place every morning. The food was excellent and the service with superb. By the second morning, our waitress knew all our orders. We had our rehearsal dinner on the patio outside the Olive Room. It was a beautiful summer night and an excellent buffet that we had selected. Our sleeping rooms were old style over-sized and comfortable looking out over the golf course. If you are really fussy about top of the line finishes - this might not be your cup of tea but if size and comfort are what you're after - this is it in spades. Everyone from the front desk to the restaurant staff knew how to provide service coupled with a good attitude. We appreciate everything about the Temecula Creek Inn that made our family gathering just what the doctor ordered. Good going!! read more

I was in Temecula for my niece's wedding this week and the Inn's website made it look like a first-class place. Their prices certainly did. Once I got there it was clear that the property is quite old. Now worries, I thought, probably renovated. Once I got to my room i learned that i was partially correct. Upon opening the door i was hit with a strong musty/moldy odor. Not good. The carpet was heavily stained and the last guest's trash was still in the bathroom trash bin. The beds were clean and comfortable but that was about it. When I expressed my concerns to the front desk i was told the manager would contact me. She never did. I paid $771 for a two night stay on Wed and Thurs. When you pay first-class rates you expect first-class accommodations. The Temecula Creek Inn is anything but that. Do yourself a favor and book elsewhere. read more

We stayed here for my sister in laws wedding and yes i cannot deny the stone house wedding venue is beautiful but that is all that is good at this place. The rooms are overpriced for a tacky summer camp vibe with paper thin walls and rooms above you sounding like there's elephants stomping around. We arrived on Friday around lunch time for the rehearsal activities and i had called first thing in the morning to request an early check in since we are traveling with our toddler and nap time is crucial. They assured me they would take note of my request. When we arrived at 2:00 they said our room wasn't ready. 3:00 and then 4:00 (the original check in time) rolls around and finally our room was ready 15 mins past check in time. So now I have a cranky pissed off toddler. Great! But that's not even the worst.... They couldn't even accommodate an early check in for my mother in law (spending an unreal amount of money on this wedding) or my Sister in law (the bride) to get ready for the rehersal/dinner on their property while using their coordinator. You're telling me a coordinator couldn't put 2 and 2 together that check in and rehersal are at the same time for out of town guests?! The service at this place is deplorable down to the restaurant is out of crayons, honey, and chorizo for their chorizo and eggs. This place is down right embarrassing. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else or stay somewhere else if you're attending a wedding here. read more

Stayed 1 night here. Really, the best way to describe is just average and uninspired all around. The room was clean even though we were short some towels. There was one funky stain on the sheets, but it was small enough and I was tired enough that I didn't care. The flat screen tv was nice. The mini fridge was cold. Our golf course view was a disappointment in room 211. It's not so much a view of the course as it is a view of trees and hedges that block the golf course view. read more

Severely overpriced! I attended a wedding and the venue was beautiful don't get me wrong but I would never pay $520 for two nights in such an underwhelming room. I thought I had paid upfront but upon checkout was charged the second half. I thought this was crazy especially considering how this hadn't been communicated effectively and because of how modest the room was (maybe it was the wedding room rate unbeknownst to me) but it's straight robbery. It would have thought half of what I paid was too much. Please try to make pricing more clear. I would never pay that much for a room of that caliber, especially when I could have just driven to the venue and stayed at home which would have paid for a weekend in Vegas with the savings. I stayed in this hotel for a wedding. The rooms are dingy, old, stuffy. The decor is tired and the buildings are ugly. The pool area is not nice. The check in time is 4pm (what?!). The staff seems very apathetic towards the customers and their jobs. While we were there, there were 5 other weddings going on! A number of guests in nearby rooms were partying late, which kept us up for half the night. Worst of all, the prices are astronomical for what it is! read more

We are locals and needed a place to stay in a hurry ( our house flooded) the reservation line and he front desk staff were EXTREMELY accommodating and so incredibly nice. They have us a large room on a corner with a wrap around patio for our child to run around. The staff here is seriously wonderful. My only negatives would be that the rooms need some updating. New carpet, screens on the bathroom windows (we often had lots of gnats in the room) and a better lock on the door. The housekeeping ladies are very nice, the times they come are a bit odd but they do a lovely job. The walls and floors above are a bit thin so you can absolutely hear everything. read more

This hotel is great - especially if you travel with your dog. It is not a luxury resort, but the rooms are nice and the restaurant is top notch. But where this property really shines is the service. The staff here is super nice and very helpful. I travel a lot, and I can honestly say that this hotel has one of the friendliest and most pleasant atmospheres that I have experienced. My husband and I stayed here for our first wedding anniversary this past weekend and we booked the romantic date night package. Everything about Temecula Creek Inn was amazing: the room was fantastic with a very rustic chic vibe, the fitness room was awesome, and the restaurant, Cork & Fire was to die for. We ordered room service for breakfast on our last morning and the hotel did not charge us any additional fees and we were able to enjoy an excellent breakfast on our balcony.
