My wife and I returned from two day stay at the Temecula Creek Inn; overall id say we're satisfied with our experience. Staff at the Inn is very accommodating. The pros certainly out weigh the cons. Pros: *what you need to make your stay more pleasant they're on it. They do what the can almost immediately. * friendly staff * breakfast was amazing * bed was comfortable (mattress) * excellent movie selection * tv came equipped with a HDMI chord * patio view of gold course was rad. (Beautiful sun set) Cons: *over charged on the room service ($5 delivery free). *pillows weren't great. * I couldn't tell what I was being charged for but luckily my experience was nice enough to wear I didn't care much. Overall I'd stay here again especially if it is your first time to Temecula for wine tasting. read more

Motel 6 on a golf course. And that's being generous. Subpar for the price for sure. Rooms are dated. Rather than actually upgrading and repairing the rooms, they paint over wood rot and decay on doors for example. Took FOREVER to check us in when we were told initially 1 hr wait. Try 6 hrs. With 3 toddlers and a baby that's a LONG time. Nothing offered other than to use the pool, which is seriously a 1950's watering hole. Not enough umbrellas either. They allow guests to reserve all spots with umbrellas without them even being there. TV didn't work except for pay per view (surprise). All static. Lighting in rooms is HORRIBLE. Nothing was really plugged in correctly so we had to find sockets to even turn any lights on. The chairs in the room were old and raggedy. Like cushions slumping. Out view was literally of a mud ditch. We were told we could have a blow up mattress (they call a roll away) which never arrived to our room in spite of calling in advance and being told at check in it would be in our room. Decor is completely dated. Bathroom drains run extremely slow. Took hours to get a wine opener delivered. Apple juice ordered from room service for my demanding toddler never arrived. They also charge a $12 per day "resort fee" like WTF? This is not a resort by a long shot. I heard the course is super nice, but up the green/golf fees then-don't over charge guests of the hotel. If you put your meals on the room account they charge a "surcharge" which is never told to you until check out (btw the cork fire is the saving grace of this place the food is phenomenal and they make the best Bloody Mary I've ever had). Bar sink next to coffee pot area didn't work at all. Iron just dumps water on clothes. My sister's room had a tub that didn't drain AND HUGE BUGS. She did get a blow up mattress but it's a twin so my nephew had to sleep with my parents in their room instead. Bottom line, stay here if you must (like if your family member is getting married here and you have kids so you can't uber to another hotel in the area) but if you don't need to please stay somewhere else and just come for the Wedding, golf or restaurant. read more

Stayed here the night of 2/14. Checked in at 6pm and was given a room that had not been cleaned. Were told that housekeeping would be right up to clean it. We asked for another room, so we wouldn't have to wait for that one to be cleaned. Given a second room, better, but still not a very nice room. Wondered where the plasma tv was in the room as shown on the web and touted on their brochure. Cobwebs on the ceiling, stopped up sink in the bathroom (good thing we had two sinks). And, someone had repaired the tub and wiped their greasy hands on the step out mat and it was left there! Ugh! We complained and got a free nite's stay, but probably will have to check out the room first before consenting to stay there again. read more

The property is very nice and peaceful, with pretty views of the greens from the balcony. The food at Cork Fire Kitchen was only so-so but nice decor and ambiance inside and outside. The rooms are comfortable and clean. The main reason I want to write this review, however, is to commend the courteous service from the chief engineer and his assistant in rigging up an extension cord so that I could charge my Tesla in a parking spot outside our room. When we asked the girl at check in regarding on-site availability, we were merely directed to a public charging station in Old Town. But the next day when we saw John the engineer driving by in a golf cart and asked whether there was a possibility we could plug in somewhere, he ended by setting us up, even providing white cones to save our parking spot when we went out to dinner. This was my first long distance trip in the Tesla and figuring out where and when and how long to charge was uppermost in our minds the entire trip. Being able to charge on the property overnight and through breakfast the next morning was a huge help and headache saver. I was told by John and later, his assistant, that we are not the first guests to inquire about charging and their willingness to help says a lot about the customer service orientation. I stayed one night at Temecula Creek Inn. When I returned home, I realized I lost my diamond necklace. I called and spoke to the Front Desk Manager, Tracy. She spoke to Housekeeping and called me back within a few hours to confirm they had the necklace. It was locked in a safe until I could return to pick it up. Tracy was unbelievably helpful and I appreciate the security this hotel staff provided. read more

It was a charge for this, charge for that, insurance for this, and on top of it all --- they charged for a night someone didn't stay! I'm sitting in my awful room writing this review. When we first arrived everything looked beautiful. Upon entering our room is had a very musky smell. We brushed it off and continued in. We noticed that we did not have a tv remote at all and had to call in for one. Also our bathroom lights kept flickering and would just turn all the way, our heater didn't work, and to make it worse the phone didn't even work and we had to order our nasty room service from our personal phone. We Eventually asked to switch rooms, they said ok and we went 2 doors down. Now Upon entering our new room it also sucks. Our shower handle broke off and the bathroom lights don't work. I highly recommend not staying here! Stay somewhere else and get more bang for your buck!! These are just dusty overpriced rooms! We won't even be staying our full stay and will be leaving in the morning. read more

Just checked in and the room seems ok. Unfortunately they do not have a microwave in the room nor do they have them available for guest to check out. the week. I stayed here for a wedding. The rooms were okay. The service was terrible. When I first arrived, they did not have the King bed room I had reserved, and I had to take a double Queen room. That was fine, not a big deal, I understood. But the next day, they told me that I might actually have to move rooms, because then they needed the double Queen! They didn't seem to care about inconvienencing me twice! Also, I had to call multiple times to get the room cleaned. When they did clean, they did not clean everything (left all dirty towels on floor). On more than one occasion, when I called the front desk, they did not answer for five minutes, and then they put me on hold for ten minutes. The price was not that cheap for service that bad. The restaurant was good food. The golf course itself was beautiful. But again, the service was lacking. We didn't see a food cart for the first 70% of the course, and when they did show up, they had no food. The wedding venue itself was very nice, although, just remember you are in the middle of the wilderness and there is (apparently) no way for them to control what wanders into the stone house (e.g., mice). read more

Came here a couple weekends ago with my husband and had a great time. It was sunny all day and that made it even better. Golf: We golfed in the morning and this was our first time here. I don't golf. I just drive the cart. That being said, the course was in great shape. The greens were smooth and very well maintained. The layout is beautiful. We played the oaks and stone courses and we liked them both. We will definitely golf here again one day. Restaurant: After golf we went to the restaurant and it was amazing. The food was great and the view is beautiful. Our server was friendly and outgoing. This is a great place to eat. We will eat here again when we come back. All in all, this place is very nice. It is a great weekend get away with your husband or wife or with a group of friends. I can't wait to go back. Hope you can get here some time. read more

From the moment we arrived until our departure, Danielle and the rest of the staff at Temecula Creek Inn went above and beyond to make our wedding truly perfect. We were looking for a small intimate wedding with our close family and friends, Stone Meadows was the perfect fit. Our hotel accommodations were fabulous and our guest enjoyed staying at the property. We live in Seattle, Washington so planning a destination wedding can be a challenge but Danielle was always one step ahead of us. We were able to visit the venue once prior to our wedding weekend and Danielle made sure to not leave any question unanswered or any detail unattended to. She has a gift of listening to what we really wanted and helped make our vision come alive. All of the other staff was ultra accommodating. We started staying at this hotel when my son's golf tournaments brought us out this way. I had high expectations and for the price really should have. The rooms are clean, but seemed renovated only partially. Like other reviewers, I also noticed small things in the room that were done cheap or not fixed very well. I am not sure if they are redoing the landscape or they just don't care, but most areas by the rooms are just dirt. I also think if you are spending $400 a night you should have some benefits. For example, we hit the range for $18 and purchased coffee for $5. There should be some sort of discount for guests, especially with the resort charge!! The positives are the access to the golf course and the Cork Fire restaurant. The Cork Fire is very well done. The restaurant has beautiful views of the course, outstanding menu choices and food, and the vibe is super cool. Get the Wayne Farms Chicken Wings. Frankly, the only reason we will stay here is to easily access the restaurant and be by the golf course. Otherwise, you can stay at a SpringHill Suites for the same experience. read more

Our server was nice. The location is very nice. The kitchen is substandard in every way. The ingredients are no different than Denny's and the prep is worse. I ordered the crab Benedict. Food was cold the first time out and lukewarm the second time. The kitchen moved like pond water with minimal tables being served. The second attempt over cooked the poached eggs so that the middle was solid and still served barely warm. There was a hair and crab shell gristle. Potatoes are absent of imagination. They are boiled, over-fried and greasy then lightly salted. The hollandaise sauce was basically mayonnaise, except mayonnaise has more flavor. The pancakes are better at Denny's. I'm glad they forgot to bring me my pancake because I was able to sample my nephew's. He's 5 so he's good with whatever. Ahhh to be 5. I'm almost as ashamed to post this the day after thanksgiving as the kitchen staff should be for their "performance". read more

The grounds are amazing, the hotel is a dump!! We went for a wedding and occupied 10 rooms, between the bug bites and the mold/mildew smell I can't pick which was worse!!! I've had so many people we went with contact me about the horrible bug bites ( from the room ) not the grass. From my 3 yr old grandson ( ring bearer ) to my 80 yr old mother. The bridal suite was decent but ALL of the other rooms were horrible!!! I DO NOT recommend this hotel, the rooms are not cheap but the accommodations are!! read more

This review is for the golf course. It's a beautiful course, and all 3 of the 9's are very well maintained. The staff in the pro shop is always very friendly and accommodating. The pace of play is outstanding. The only reason for the 4 stars (instead of 5), was the driving range. We got to the course an hour before our tee time so that we would have plenty of time to warm up on the range. Upon arriving, we learned that the range was closed for maintenance. It's a big pet peeve of mine when golf courses do not inform the golfers of upcoming maintenance on the range (should be posted clearly on the website, or told to people when they phone in for a tee time). We made the 55 minute drive up from San Diego, and would have left considerably later if we would have known the range was closed. read more

In the area for a wedding. Room smelled musty, killed a spider and a cockroach. Heater's not working; called maintenance and he turned on water valves. Heater still not working, called maintenance again; turned out heat/cool knob is backwards. If you want heat, turn knob to cool and vise versa. Once room got warm, turned heater off. Within a few minutes we heard a large bang and water sprayed out of the wall vent onto our suitcase. Called maintenance a third time. He removed the vent cover only to discover the heater coil had ruptured and sprayed water into the room. To their credit they did comp us the room plus a free breakfast, but needless to say, we won't be staying there again. read more

No doubt that this is a beautiful place for a get away. The food and accommodations are very good. I am a member of a golf club. We have done an over night here for several years. The golf management here is not accommodating to our club. We were told that we had to have our cocktail hour outside because the bar area was going to be full. After a day of golf we sat outside in the sun (The umbrellas didn't cover the tables) but and there was no one in the bar. We were also told at the last minute that we couldn't play Stone house due to maintenance. There were people playing on that course that day. I Don't know what the story is but I think our club should re-think our yearly golf trip to Temecula Creek. read more

I stayed here twice in August, and I must say the were both exceptional stays. They let us check in very early on both days. -The rooms: We had the basic room on the bottom floor facing the tee box of the first Oaks green. The room was very clean, Bath and Body works toiletries, clean modern furnishings, and cooooool a/c. The only issue was the extremely loud flush on the toilet hahaha. The sound deadening on the walls was pretty good, the sound deadening glass door was very good. The bed was very comfortable, and felt wonderful after a full day of golf. -Restaurant: We didn't bother, it was too expensive. -Pool and poolside lounge area: Water temperature was great, the pool was a of good size, and had a max depth of 8ft. The chlorine was a tad heavy, but the water was very clean and clear. Great for an afternoon swim. At 5pm they set up a complimentary wine, cheese, and cracker tasting outside the pool area. They give you a very generous glass, and will pour additional glasses if your not acting like a pig. The cheeses that were presented when we stayed were excellent. -Staff: My lady friend took care the booking and transaction, so I don't know how that went, but I was present in the lobby at check-in and check out. The staff was very friendly, and didn't give us any attitude. My only complaint was they seemed a bit understaffed. They had 2 people up front, and one person was designated as the phone person. So if it's busy, expect to wait a few. We were greeted by the head honcho of the joint during the wine tasting. He was a nice guy. -Golf course: Execellent! Three different courses, Creek, Oak, and Stone House. Stone house was by far the best. The greens were very nice, and the lay-outs and views were terrific. The starters were very flexible. CART MOUNTED COOLERS! Why don't more courses do this?! They let you fill the cooler with ice, then clip it to the cart and cruise the course with beverages. We didn't catch any flack for bringing out own drinks either. My only issue was the the lack of a marshal/ambassador on the course. People seemed to just go at what ever pace they wanted, despite the speed of the other golfers. They also jumped holes. We started to congest on the middle holes, catching up to slower groups in front. The ass-hats who golfed behind us (both visits) start hitting when we were still within 100-200 yards! WTF? The first trip, the following group apologized and knocked it off. The second time they landed balls within feet of us. I issued a very audible "What the f*&k guys!?" and they stopped. So yeah, they need an ambassador hahaha. Overall I was very please, and if I golf in Temecula again, I will definitely choose this place. read more

I couldn't get into a room until almost two hours after check-in time. Then another couple got registered into the same room and walked into my room!!! Who knows what could've happened...luckily we were clothed and in the room so nothing went missing. I only got an apology and a comped meal. I then went the next morning for my comped breakfast at Cork Fire Kitchen. The hostess seemed inconvenienced by us and told me it would be a 30 minute wait but when I looked in the restaurant and in the bar there was approximately 10 open tables! It was Labor Day and they didn't seem to have enough staff...how could that happen?? Breakfast was good when we finally got a table and the server was great. We were invited by our daughter to spend the night at the creek house. $800.00 per night. It is a nice size home but probably hasn't been updated on 25 years. Very, very plain on the inside. Old bathrooms and just not a very pleasant place to be , especially at $800 per night. A welcoming basket or something would have been nice but there was nothing. I would clearly not recommend this to anyone. It's too bad because with just a little love from the owners , would make this a wonderful place to stay with your family. This wasn't really what I was expecting. It's very isolated--back on a road by itself, next to a golf course. If you want to go downtown, you need to drive. Wineries are about 15 minutes away. The place feels like a lodge in a National Lampoons movie--very camp-feeling. It would be good for a wedding party, or for a family reunion or something. They are in major need of a renovation. The bathrooms, in particular, are just awful--dimly lit, shower from 1985, cheap paint and flooring. The room was clean. I have no criticism of that. The pool and spa seemed clean. There was so much chlorine my eyes burned. When we were there, the TV was not working properly--kept glitching. This was a big deal for us, as we do these one-night getaways to just relax and veg out (we have a toddler at home...haha). No TV was kind of a bummer. When we called the front desk, they said, "Oh yeah, that's a property-wide thing." They didn't offer a solution, a discount, nothing. We won't be back. You can stay in wine country for slightly more money (maybe $50 more per night) and have a much nicer experience. read more

We have stayed here multiple times and sadly this will be the last. Although the property is beautiful, the customer service is seriously lacking. We have stayed here with and without Travelzoo's, and let me tell you that this resort is not cheap, so naturally guests expect nice, relaxing, and enjoyable stays based on how much it costs to stay here. First of all, we arrived a few hours before check in and the room wasn't ready, which is fine. We went to Pechanga for an hour or so, came back, and the room still wasn't ready (now 3pm). The staff offered to give us our complimentary bottle of wine while we waited, but the wine was not cold and they did not give us wine glasses or a bucket of ice... so we couldn't drink the wine... We waited outside in the sitting area in relatively chilly weather (without the heat lamps although several staff members saw us sitting there and did not offer) and waited until we went inside 30 minutes later. We were THEN told that our room was ready, but I guess no one was going to tell us until we went back inside? We were told we would get a phone call... Anyway, we settled in the room and placed our room service card for breakfast this morning outside LAST NIGHT around 5/5:30pm - several hours before the 2am pick-up time. We are on a schedule today and were expecting breakfast to be here on time. The breakfast was to arrive between 8-8:15am and it didn't come, so we checked the door and sure enough no one had ever come last night to pick up the room service card. We called the front desk and were first transferred to the restaurant, which went straight to voicemail. We called back and spoke to a different representative, who immediately placed us on hold after expressing dissatisfaction... not very professional. We called back a third time after being on hold for several minutes, only to be transferred to the restaurant again. This time someone picked up the phone and told us that they could get our order here in 30 minutes, then called back a few minutes later and said it would be closer to 40 minutes because there are several orders ahead of us. How are there orders ahead of us when order cards weren't picked up last night...? Very disappointed with the service we have received here and are hopeful that sharing our experience with others will deter them from experiencing similar situations. The only reason why I'm giving 2 stars is because we went to the restaurant for dinner last night and had a great experience, and because the views and rooms here are great. Sad that we will have to find somewhere else to stay when we visit Temecula wine country, but unfortunately the poor customer service makes it not worth it to stay here anymore. read more

This is a very nice inn. The rooms are clean, nice view of the golfers playing from our patio. Front staff were very kind and friendly. We didn't get to go in the pool but it looked clean and was a nice temperature. I gave it one star down because our bathroom lock didn't work and there was no refrigerator in the room. Just mild inconveniences that don't take away from the full overall experience being here. The beds are comfy and fit two adults comfortably. If you have kids there's not much to do except watch TV or the pool but there is lots of food places just a street away. I would definitely come back again in the near future. read more

My letter is en route to them already regarding my stay, put wouldn't dare let this place slip through my reviewing priorities. We were booked here via the Welks property for our owners tour ... we had stayed at a different property before, and this one sounded great when they described it, plus with a late afternoon appointment, we would have a chance to have breakfast, explore the grounds and enjoy the property. Right? Wrong. Wrong - Wrong - W R O N G. Allow me to describe our horror movie intro; we check-in late into the night, a bit after midnight. (Btw, not even clear lighting for where on earth check-in is.) We get to our room, start unpacking, then as I'm looking around, I get a creepy sense that someone's just been in the room. The beds both have indentations, like someone had taken a nap on top, after housekeeping was there ... the paper pads were all scribbled on and flipped over, like someone doodled while on the phone, plotting our murders, then got up and took off when they knew we were checking in. The screen door is open and unlocked after all, and we're on the ground floor. The neighbors to the left were still awake, fighting and yelling and the neighbors above were also wide awake, walking all about their room and talking on the top of their lungs on their balcony. Will no one hear us get murdered? To the bathroom I go, to unload all our toiletries. I yell at my husband - why did you make a mess already?! He's innocent - he's busy hanging the clothes up (brownie points, my bad hubby). The bath mat is soaked, the towels are on the floor piled up and hanging off the shower rod - he just took a bath but left all his DNA - our murdered can be traced thanks to CSI. We call the front desk to let them know, and he offers us a different room, upgraded suite he says. Upgrade? To what - the larger bathroom that doesn't have amenities? Or maybe he meant the upgrade to lamps & sconces with no light bulbs in them. Or maaaaybe he meant the upgrade to the room that STILL has all the neighbors awake. First, and LAST visit. Would have come here again, amenities are decent, but what's the point - upgraded & updated facade, but seems like a mickey-mouse job that wasn't taken seriously. Regular things you want to know; ~ wired (e-net) internet only ~ parking is okay, but very dark & not sufficient lighting ~ some buildings have elevators to upper floors ~ very noisy / thin walls ~ BYO-UV Light Sanitizing Wand since housekeeping doesn't seem to be doing it right ~ hard to see when coming in late night; lacking sufficient lighting & signage ~ updated fixtures, but still an older hotel; again, fixing up the facade without doing any upgrades to the internal structure Recommend to a friend / family? I want to warn brides who booked with Shari that she is no longer at TCI. The staff there is unfortunately not customer focused and lack the ability to pay attention to details. Please decide for yourself if this venue is for you, here are some facts: - Instead of water and lemonade it was in my contract to have water and ice tea. TCI did not provide the ice tea and instead had lemonade. I was offered a $50 gift card to make up for this detail slip. - The soup was luke warm at the sweathearts table. Two other tables we knew of said it seemed their soup was not heated (it was a chilly night). - Our entrees were delayed almost 30 minutes, which set the entire night's schedule back. When I approached the venue coordinator they said they were at my wedding and didn't see that as an issue. - Our food tasting was not only rushed by the venue coordinator (she asked me questions constantly while I had a mouth full of food). Our first tasting was the most expensive food and the fish was rubbery and the risotto was too cheesy (a cheap way to make up for sloppy kitchen skills). We requested another food tasting and tasted the cheap level of food, which wasn't much better but at least I wasn't spending an extra $20 a plate. - We had to book the hotel rooms separately and were not given any consideration for the fact that we were the only on-site wedding for the Saturday. I had to beg to get my parents booked in a suite since they wanted to reserve it in case they had someone having a wedding offsite that maybe wanted a suite. - The bridal ready room lost power when we plugged in one hair dryer and one hair straightener. It took over 30 mins for the hotel engineer to get us power back. - The complimentary honeymoon suite did not have hot water. Once it did we took a shower and had the smoke alarm go off. This incident was reported with no apology. - The pictures turned out great at the Stone House. Beautiful venue. - Between our tasting and the wedding day a run down old wooden wagon was added to the venue. It looks like a heap of wooden trash. They were unable to move it and we just had to let it be. - The venue is very private. Which was lovely. - We had a hidden fee for passing out welcome bags at the front desk. My wedding coordinator helped me negotiate this fee off. - My 89 year old grandparents had a housekeeper knock at the door at 8am the morning after the wedding saying they needed to leave immediately. Check out time wasn't until noon. - My sister had to beg to get an late check out (the room was booked under the bride's name too) and they only gave her 30 minutes extra. - The rooms are very spacious, but the bathrooms are small and the walls are thin. - On our rehearsal day Temecula Creek Inn "ran out of parking". I had two bridesmaids that could not find parking and the hotel wouldn't take them for valet. Temecula Creek Inn was hosting a golf event and couldn't handle our handfull of cars (including people staying at the hotel). This delayed our rehearsal. - The room (suite) my parents had did not have air conditioning or heat in the downstairs room where they held a family gathering. The engineer from the hotel basically said he couldn't do anything and left. My suggestion to anyone who has already booked TCI is to pay the extra money and get your own day of wedding coordinator. They will make sure the venue is in order. If you're wedding is small enough, I suggest a reception at Baily's downtown. They have much better customer service and higher quality food for half the price. read more

Nothing about this place says "resort." The rooms are old, extremely dated, cramped, low ceilings, and extremely basic. The deck was full of cobwebs. The hot tub was completely drained. The service at the restaurant was horrible. My weekend at this establishment makes me want to stay far, far away from Temecula altogether. read more
