I'll admit it: the thought of "olive oil tasting" sounded kind of gross to me. Like... we're just going to sip oil? But I could not have been more wrong. Temecula Olive Oil Company was such a fun surprise and ended up being one of the highlights of our day. The different olive oils were genuinely delicious, and it was really interesting tasting the differences between them, The Lemon and Mediterranean was especially good and definitely came home with us! The shop itself is adorable and has that rustic, small-town Temecula charm that makes you want to wander around and look at everything. Beyond the oils, they have olives, spreads, sauces, and all kinds of things you suddenly convince yourself you absolutely need. The Tomato Basil Marinara may or may not have also made its way into our bag. A Sunday spent wine tasting and olive oil tasting? Turns out that is a pretty perfect combination. Stopped by as I was exploring downtown Temecula. The olive oils and the vinegar pairings are good. I got weird vibes off the older lady serving the oils. She seemed annoyed to have to help me even though it was empty. Kept having to repeat myself and ask for different flavors. It makes sense now as I read others reviews of the possibility of why. I ended up just cutting my visit short and just purchasing one . Don't know if I would stop by again. Especially since there's other olive oil places with friendlier service. read more

More recently my palate has become more evolved and I like olive oil now. They offer a variety of infused olive oils, body products, candles and so much more. It's a really nice boutique. Make sure to try some free olive oil samples! They give you tips on how to pair them and everything. I see they have a balsamic and olive oil concoction. Unfortunately, we loved this place a little bit too much! HA! Like $650 much between 4 people!!! They have a tasting room and that's were it all started... "I'll take two of those, one of those, oh yeah, and that, oh, that one too!" hahaha I don't even know how many bottles we bought but they do ship and if you buy 12, you get a discount! Shipment cost was very reasonable and one was delivered to the house by the time she arrived home. Our favorites were their Just Dip It, Just Dress it and the Fire Cider. I personally also liked the jalapeno one because you can actually taste the jalapeno unlike other jalapeno olive oil that I have purchased. They also have these butter hand cream and sugar scrub that were amazing. The young lady that helped us was very patient, knowledgeable, professional and helpful. She provided great services. I recently ordered online and when I opened the body butter, it smelled perfumey, not lemony. I called the Temecula store and both the staff person and manager made me feel like I was the only customer in the world. They are shipping me an unscented replacement (could have been a mislabel). Historically, this was a great place to shop for quality products. Wide range. Visiting recently it seems almost like they are going out of business. It's old leftover stuff. I've owned many bottles of their olive oil in the past that lasted a long time. What I bought now from their limited selection wasn't mixed couldn't be shaken and was dark sludge in the bottom. After getting some use of the oil the bottle wasn't even cleanable for recycling having sludge in the bottom. They also have a lack of olives available, also indicating it's just what they have left from stock. If I had to guess, they are selling the the company to somebody else. I advise against buying buying much here even though it kind of remains a cute tourist stop. It's fun to taste the oils and I suppose there's not much harm you can do to a vinegar. read more

Stumbled into their Old Town store in January. That was my first ever visit to an olive oil store but I was hooked. The tasting experience was relaxed, interesting and tasty! Their professional staff was great at explaining what makes their olive oils and balsamic special. The experience was so good we signed up for their subscription service. 10 months later we were back in town for an event so we made arrangements to pick up our quarterly order at the store. It provided an opportunity to stock up on holiday gifts and enjoy trying several varieties of olive oil and balsamic combinations.. All of their oils and balsamic are so tasty! And their entire operation is also a well oiled machine (corny, I know) But it really is a well run operation. Their customer service in person, on the phone or online is first rate. The oil tasting bar is in the back end of the store. I was hoping they would offer some bread to dip with the oils as we tasted them but they said they couldn't allow food there for the tastings so we were basically getting shots of oil and vinegar, although I was only touching my lips to the cups of samples to taste - there was no way I was going to drink all that oil. It was a lot of fun to taste the different combinations, the oils were so fragrant and lovely, and the vinegars were amazing too! It was my first time visiting old town Temecula and enjoyed visiting TOOC. I've purchased items from their solana beach location but never visited this quaint location in Temecula . It was a busy day that weekend in December ! The place was packed with happy patrons wanting to buy a variety of items . They sell so much stuff from olive oils , tapenades , pasta , etc . Their tasting bar , of olive oils , was staffed with the kindest girls . We didn't sample anything as we were in a hurry to buy a few white elephant gifts . Their items are expensive and a bit small . I bought a few items as Xmas gifts for family while friend bought two items for the white elephant party (budget $25 and under ). Checkout was quick and efficient . They even wrapped up everything in Xmas fashion, at no additional cost , so that was a plus ! I don't believe they have their own private parking so street parking was the way to go that day . Would for sure return if in area and buy a few more items . read more
