I have no feedback for the gas station. My review is purely for Big Al's Subs! I pass this spot every time I visit my parents and this has become a great stop on the way. Roast beef and pastrami sandwiches are always fresh, delicious, generous condiments and come with a different spread or sauce. Also, the cake slices are decadent and soft. STAY FAR AWAY FROM THE CAR WASH!! Zero out of 5 stars. I stopped by for a car wash and the machine sprayed soap (before applying water), then did a "rinse" and then was done. Dirt was still all over my car as well as soap suds. Also keeping in mind this is NOT a touch less car wash. I went inside to get a refund and the cashier said there was nothing she could do because the manager was not present...odd. I asked if I could run my car through the wash again and she said she wasn't able to do that either. She said she could give me a receipt and I could come back next week for a wash; however, I don't live in the area so that does me no good at all. I left my contact information for the store manager because this is absolutely ridiculous. Absolutely atrocious gas station. Really convenient location and have been coming for years and have seen it declining. It's so sad to see how badly it has gotten. You can pull up to any pump and roll the dice: will you get a functioning pump? Who knows?!! Maybe you want to buy a car wash? Nope. Dirty and dangerous. I often stop here because I have cancer and need to use the restroom on the way home. It is ONE of the few stations that allow people to use the restroom in COVID-19 times. I always use pump number 9 because it is close to the restroom. I noticed a pool of fuel on the pavement in front of the pump last week as I filled up. Last night, I found out why the pool of fuel was there. I lost weight after my cancer treatment and I was able to get into a favorite khaki suit that I had been unable to wear. I stopped at this Shell station as usual on the way home. The pump was pumping VERY SLOW as it often does. I removed the nozzle and replaced it with no effect. Suddenly, fuel began to spray out all over my suit and I had difficulty stopping the flow of fuel all over the outside of my car, the ground...and my suit, ruining it. There are usually attendants smoking outside, YES, SMOKING outside at a gas station..this was true last night too. I carefully approached her with my fuel drenched clothing and reported the fuel leak. The pumps are in poor condition. You can barely read the displays due to unrepaired vandalism. Further, the poorly maintained safety mechanisms of the pumps overshadow the filthy conditions of the restrooms and area in general. Be careful. This station is dirty and dangerous. read more

Wow! This place has everything! More importantly THE CUSTOMER SERVICE IS OUTSTANDING!! I had the pleasure of dealing with two lovely ladies. They were Delane and Cassie (with a heart to dot the 'i'). I have been in the customer service business for a few decades and these girls are what good customer service is all about. Their attitudes were upbeat and they made sure to acknowledge me and other customers the second we walked in. I watched them interact with others while I was browsing. They also said great things about the store they worked in which was refreshing. This might seem minor but in reality, it isnt! This was my 2nd oil change here. I get the $26.99 conventional (as opposed to synthetic or synthetic blend) Castrol motor oil. I've almost always used non synthetic oil, changing at 3,000 mile intervals. It comes to $30 and change, and they give you a car wash code for the $10 deluxe drive-thru car wash at the shell station on the same property. They have an outdoor table you can wait at, get a coffee at the minimart and catch up on emails, or they have a few chairs inside, I believe. They have 2 oil change bays, it's not a big crew, I waited about 15 minutes this last time for them to start my oil change, not a big deal for me. They also do brakes and alignments, and other repairs. read more

Their oil change price is fraud. I went there last month to change my car's oil. The first time was 80.00 the second time $120.00 I was told my car took seven quarts of oil. Ladies - avoid this station. Pumps didn't work quickly - spent 5 mins getting 1 gallon; guy next to me says this happen here a lot. Employee came around and sped them up. Then, even with a credit card, you have to go inside the store to pick up your receipt from the cashier. So then I asked about the bathrooms, cashier didn't know. I took a trip to wine country in Temecula and did not plan out my gas mileage correctly. I had to stop here on the way home. The gasoline at this station was .59 a gallon more expensive than the other gas stations in the area because I didn't have cash or my ATM card. Not cool Shell. I had to come here out of necessity. I was feeling hungry and picked out my "go to snack" of orange cream hostess snack cakes from the megamart. When I was wrung up it was $2! Jeez , Shell just raked me over the coals. I feel like I got taken advantage of twice. This gas station is in a very populated area, so it's not like they have to ship gas or food in from out of the area and pay extra. **Road-Trip Diversion** If your on the road everyday like me sometimes you just need one-stop shopping. You know, Fill your tank with gas, a clean restroom, a cold drink and a snack or something to keep you going til you have time for something decent. Double WOW there's a Deli Inside....no way....actually....yes WAY! So, the C-Store is awesome and clean....trust me.....they got what 'ur lookin' for. I'll focus the rest of my already too long review on the deli. The Deli....pretty darn good. Made fresh with Boars Head Meats. A specialty here is the spreads, I had Blue Cheese Dill on my Roast Beef Sandwich....yummy! They got Cilantro Mayo, Spicy Chinwag Mustard, Roasted Pepper Pesto, House Vinaigrette and Thai Peanut. I'd say for $5.50 my sandwich was pretty much a bargain. Yeah, coulda had another tomato, coulda sliced the onions with a little more love, coulda used a few more pepperocinis.....ehhh....whatever....all fresh good ingredients though. Walked in around 8 pm and although they have posted signs regarding wearing masks both employees behind the counter are not adhering to it. But the cashier with glasses working the afternoon of 11/4/21 has some real issues. I get it.....you work a base pay job at a gas station and you're unhappy in life, but don't disrespect the customers because of it. Again.....I don't expect a hello or thank you, but how about being polite or at the very least just human and not rude. Rude!!!Walked in to find nobody at the counter but see an employee talking to another employee in the back. He see's but doesn't tell her. I stand there for a few minutes while looking behind the hot dog machine as she plays on her phone so I say hello is anyone working? Was waiting to purchase a fountain, drink that the cashier, a tall, blonde woman saw me getting when she went outside and decided to carry a conversation with a guy that Seemingly, likes to hang out at shell late night on his spare time.After the other cashier was finished making ice, I was able to purchase my items. And then when I went outside and jokingly Commented on the lack of service, Both her and little conversation buddy tried to fight me. . Unacceptable service And apparently not a safe place to get gas at night as they Both continued to make threats and slurs When I went to my vehicle . So I left and then got cheaper gas elsewhere. My Mini needed Oxygen sensors replaced, the check engine light was on. Got a quote from Irvine BMW that was huge - almost $1000.00. So I called this place for a quote - way cheaper less than $500 - using genuine Mini Parts. Don the service guy was fantastic. Told me the car needed to cool down first, so I went into the store for a drink and a sub. The sub was fresh and made with Boars Head ham, which I love. The drink selection was everything from Beer to Water with Monster everywhere. I was surprised to say the least. Its by Toms Farms. Best Gas / Repair with a fantastic sub. They are the only other place I will let touch my Scat shaker challenger other then the dealer-they changed my catch can which I could not take off. While waiting I walked over had some coffee from the Shell gas station (choice of coffee was INSANE). In a few minutes I was done and on my way. I came in and before saying a word she sees the scratcher in my hand and immediately says rudely "You aren't gonna try to cash that here are you? The scratcher??" with a rude facial expression as well. I said "I was going to ask if I could but no that's not the original reason that I came in." She goes oh ok good bc our machine is down. I let it go and said politely okay that's fine. I went to get water and then considering her attitude gave her my I'd before even asking for backwoods. She stares at my I'd for a while and says quietly but loud enough for me to hear her "oh and you had your birthday not long ago too..." "you shouldn't be smoking those..." and I just ignored it again while she went to get them. Then she repeated herself at regular talking level and said "you shouldn't be smoking those already." I turned 21 6 months ago. If I was trying to use my I'd at midnight when I turned 21 then I would understand her trying to debate selling to me but if I'm 21 then I'm 21 and it's that simple. Keep your opinions to yourself because you just set the tone for my night. At that point I was really fed up and said yeah that's what happens when u get hit by a drunk driver and want to smoke weed legally to help with your back pain. Don't pass Big Al's up because it is in a gas station...subs are fresh and delicious. I had a chicken and bacon sub and my husband had the roast beef. Basic selection of veggies and white or wheat bread. They do have a good variety of sauces (we tried a chipotle ranch today that was really good). I think it was about 8 bucks for a large sub, a bit more than some chains, but the sandwiches are huge and filling! I was full after a half. The lady who made our sandwich was really nice and made our food quickly. This gas station is an awesome rest stop. They have tons of unique sodas and a beer selection that is better than most grocery stores. We definitely know where we will be stopping to fill up on fuel and food from now on! read more

I have been looking for a great place to get weekly catering for our office in Corona for a while now. I checked all over Temecula, Lake Elsinore and Riverside area for a great caterer that will exceed our weekly catering needs. I was lucky enough to find Big Al's Subs in Corona. Their sandwiches were very delicious and breads soft and fresh. I placed my order and it was ready right on time when I arrived to pick it up. Big Al's Subs is located inside of the Shell gas station on Temescal Canyon Rode next to Tom's Farm, making it convenient because we bought refreshments when picking up our sandwiches. Located in a Shell station convenience store just off I-15 in Corona, Big Al's has saved me from starvation, or at least extreme hunger, on more than one occasion. Sandwiches are made to order using Boar's Head Meats, but if you're in a hurry you can grab one already made from an adjacent cooler. I'm usually in a hurry so I take the pre-fab route more often than not. The steady stream of hungry truckers tends to ensure that even the pre-made sandwiches are fresh and good to eat. If you don't have time to wait half an hour for a sandwich at Tom's Farm, hang a left instead and get a better sandwich at Big Al's in a lot less time. The roast beef is outstanding.
