The service here is so good! I ordered a drink late in the afternoon without checking the ingredients, wanting to try something new. I didn't realize it was coffee. When I asked them to give me a to-go cup and ordered another drink they gave me the drink for FREE. Let me tell you I did not deserve a free drink! It was so obvious that the drink I got was caffeinated yet I was oblivious. Parking is super difficult in this plaza and if you do manage to find a spot, the spaces are super small. Was greeted upon entering and ordered the iced thai tea which is my go to. They also have pastries. Lots of seating for people to do work and hang out. They also sell merch here which I haven't seen at other locations before. read more

Honestly, I thought about writing this review for a while after multiple of my experiences here but my experience there yesterday was the last straw. When I first heard that a location near my house was opening up a while back my husband and I were so excited. Before this we were frequent-ish customers at the Folsom location. We were just happy we would not have to make the drive over the bridge and through the freeway. However, after trying to give this location a chance we've just had to accept that this store is a mess. I'm sorry to say because I LOVE temple. I do want to say I have experience in the coffee business. I used to be a barista in the Portland area. Besides this, I've been a loyal customer of temple for years and have gone to many of their other locations. You kind of get the gist of what the experience is supposed to be like when it's done properly. At this location you kinda get the sense that no one really knows what they're doing or they just don't care. We have tried to give them multiple chances but it's so often that our cappuccinos or flat whites are extremely burning hot or too cold. And/or the espresso tasting so bitter and off. Plus the staff looking too frazzled or care free depending on the occasion. Like yesterday, Friday. We go in around morning time because we didn't have the time to drive to the Folsom location. My husband and I are standing in line, obviously, what you would typically expect of temple on a weekend. I know this, I know to be patient. A girl with pinkish hair is making the drinks and she just looked so frazzled. To the point that she is talking to herself and repeating drinks to herself outloud. Kind of fidgety, I'm sorry, I don't know how else to describe it but you could just tell they were so overwhelmed and making mistakes. Then they tell the girl at the register, in an extremely loud, almost yelling voice to get some sort of ice cup. The girl at the register just rolls her eyes before getting it. By the way, the girl at the register had extremely long blond hair like down her back and she had it down. When she bent down to get something, her hair brushed the pastries on the plate from the people in front of us. We order our drinks and go, mind you they gave us the wrong milk, yes we can taste it. AND our drinks (flat whites) are extra foamy like cappuccinos and extremely hot. Plus the place looked just messy with dishes everywhere which makes us not want to spend time there. Coming here has gotten so tiring. I've also talked to my friends who are frequenters at folsom and have tried Hazel and they've also all expressed the same sentiment. This place and the majority of the staff are just a mess. I'm just going to do what my husband and I were previously doing and send him to Folsom or another coffee shop to get our drinks, bless his heart. read more

The new Temple is fantastic. Beautiful decor. It was packed and the staff did an amazing job keeping up with the amount of guests in line. And I mean AMAZING. I would have cracked under pressure, so kudos to them! The drinks were fantastic. I love how they have a sugar free syrup option. Grand opening review 5/9/26: I was 4th in line before 5am. Definitely worth getting up before the crack of dawn and waiting in line to be one of the first 50 guests to receive their limited edition tumbler and tote bag. The employees opened the balloon-decorated door at exactly 6am with smiles and enthusiasm, being recorded by a videographer. The large space is beautiful, modern, and clean with dark wood furniture, a leather couch and a large corner booth. Lots of seating. There is also a back patio that runs along the side. I love the floor to ceiling windows all around, bringing in the natural light and the openness (too bad it's just a view of the parking lot and strip mall). I ordered a hot Mexican mocha, a vanilla latte, a cinnamon roll, and a lemon poppy seed loaf. The Mexican mocha needed more spices added, tasted fairly plain. My husband liked his latte and cinnamon roll. The poppyseed loaf was pretty dense and tasted ok. I probably wouldn't order any pastries from here ad stick to Temple's black coffee. Pro tip: there's a good donut shop just across the parking lot. Waking up bright and early for a grand opening for Temple Coffee was a great way to start my Saturday! read more

Although customer service and convenience of seating and parking are good, I give it 3.5 stars because I went here specifically for coffee. Had never been to this location before. Was a great place to reconnect with a friend. Plenty of parking. Nice outside patio with plenty of seating, so that helped with our little kids. Staff had nice customer service. Was just bummed about my coffee... I ordered an iced latte with heavy cream and extra ice to avoid drinking basically coffee flavored heavy cream. Whoever made my coffee put the espresso first, diluted it with all the ice, then topped it off with heavy cream... so needless to say, I basically paid $7 for coffee flavored heavy cream. It's not that I didn't like the coffee. I love Temple coffee. I make it at home, and I'm about 5 bags away from another free bag of beans. Just disappointed in the drink. read more

I walked in on a Wednesday morning during their soft opening and really like the decor. It is a modern and yet comfortable, with lots of light from the large windows. I had been to other temple coffee locations in Sacramento so knew they had good but expensive coffee selections. I waited in line to give my selection with the barista, she was great and told my choice of the seasonal drink the golden hour was excellent. I walked down the counter to pay and was handed my coffee in a beautiful glass. I must say it was a creative and delicious iced coffee choice! I look forward to returning with others. read more

Same formula, different location. They do everything well. Top tier coffee, yummy snacks, and this location is by far the most spacious and comfortable Temple location. It's an ideal place to hunker down and work or study. The volume level is never too loud either, which can't be said for other locations. They've only been open a few weeks, but the service is already top notch. Definitely one of the more recommended coffee shops in the greater Sacramento area for me! read more

I am so glad the wait is over. I have been checking weekly to see when the doors would be open! endless nights for sure have been putt into getting this open. so many times a light would be on when I drove by. I assumed that the coffee shop was finally open only to be disappointed. It was great to see all the hard work and dedication it took to get the doors open. So far so good very roomie which I love if you guys are a frequent flyer to temple coffee you know,most locations are normally packed or not large enough. Most can't withhold the amount of people that would like to go and actually relax and enjoy a cup of coffee. This location allows for that.. I have been to every location and I have waited in a lot of long lines. I've had a lot of orders be screwed up! When I tell you, I am so happy to have a location close to Rancho Cordova so happy is an understatement. I'm ecstatic. I look forward to being a frequent customer here . Also to watching this location grow . Look forward to engaging with the workers .I hope that they can provide quality service each in every visit. Ordered the campfire singalong. The staff was very friendly even with it being semi close to closing (9:30pm). Our drinks are coffee heavy which I prefer. It isn't like a milk and sugar heavy cafe which I appreciate. It was also cute in there but a little quiet. Nice for people working. read more

Super chill environment ambience's relaxing service is always friendly and they are tentative in the food is decent

Ambience: Clean, cozy, and well-kept! Coffee: They had a pretty basic selection of coffee, so if you're looking for something sweet or less coffee-forward, this probably isn't the place for you. I got a vanilla latte, which was decent, but definitely had a stronger coffee flavor (which is fine w me). Food: The best options were definitely the pastries. I got the veggie scone, and it was delicious! I just wish they had more food options, especially for breakfast. Service: Good service and friendly staff! Overall, a cute spot with a nice atmosphere. What's up with people showing up here and grabbing a spot without buying anything? Yes, it's a pleasant place, but space is limited. Nothing done by staff to enforce this. Kinda sucks to drop seven bucks on a coffee and have to fight with mooches for seating. Otherwise, good coffee, decor and atmosphere - the standard Temple experience. Speaking of standard, if everyone working there asks every time, "How's your day going? Do you have any plans for the day?" it's really obviously a script and comes off as fake. Visited on 9/5/26 at 10:30a. I almost didn't write this review because I love Temple and frequent the 16th street location regularly. Barista who greeted us and asked for our order was friendly and attentive, it wasn't until we made our way to the cashier that things took a turn. The cashier was discourteous when we asked about a specific pastry variety in the case. She said there are printed tags with the name of the item, as if we were putting her out asking what type of pastry it was. However, there wasn't a descriptive tag for this particular item. When I brought cups and saucers in before we departed I asked where to leave them and she tried to explain where the bussing station was but I didn't see. I was trying to carefully balance cups, plates and glasses for service for four people and asked if I could just leave them with her but she said no. So I decided to set them down where the napkins/sugar were. She began loudly shouting "ma'am, ma'am!" at me as I left the building. It was so strange and awkward. I probably wouldn't have written this review, however, I was with my parents who are in their 70's and she was discourteous to them when they were asking questions about the pastries as well. I think that was the straw that broke the camel's back for me. There were also several dead coach roaches on the patio as well which isn't the best for any eatery. Maybe additional training for the cashier will help. Everyone else was well trained and kind, and the espresso was delightful. read more

First off, a full disclosure: More of a coffee vibe guy than coffee aficionado; however, it's a given that the coffee, especially pour overs, is excellent. I love the surroundings. Excellent lighting, tables correctly placed and at the right height. And the multiple indoor plants are real.
