This tiny market situated in Old Filipino Town on Temple, not too far from Alvarado & Beverly, has been a necessity of the neighborhood for ages. Catering to the culinary needs of Asians, you won't be impressed by size and stock of their goods, but you WILL FIND what it is you need that you forgot to get at a bigger supermarket. My Mother-In-Law (bless her heart), on many occasions would walk the 4 blocks to Temple Seafood Market and buy a Milk Fish or a Bangus and other necessities she'd need. Parking is a pain In the neck (at times) but don't hinder yourself with THAT triviality. You need PATIS, Toyo, Bawan, Cibuyas, or other necessary ingredients, the Friendly Staff will gladly assist you. Don't tell them I sent you. They don't know me.

I was actually planning on getting tacos with a friend but I saw a HUGE crowd of people and I just had to make a stop. What was going on?! Story time: There was a local politician who was hosting an event to promote himself and they told us that the food was on them *gasp*. Your boy doesn't say no to free food so I grabbed $15 worth of meat skewers and when I we said we were with the politician....they said they used up all their funds. I embarrassingly scrambled to try to find $15 worth of cash in my wallet. Empty promising politicians. Typical. But also I probably shouldn't have grabbed $15 worth of stuff. lol. Anyways! I wasn't disappointed about the money that I spent because all the meats were quite good! And they have open grills outside to so you can BBQ your own meat! How great is that?! *My favorite was the grilled pork. Can't wait to come back :)

My friend told me that they have turo turo food here. She said that the fish was so delicious and you just have to heat it up using the microwave. She also told me to get embutido (thanks Fia R). Parking is a bitch at this little plaza. The stores share limited parking spaces and it's frustrating sometimes. The lady asked me why I took pictures and she seemed unhappy. This market is probably not busy because the guys from the meat/seafood departments actually love watching the customers. It's kinda annoying trying to shop when you see they are watching you. Maybe they never saw girls before. Now go back to your department and clean some fish. The fish was just okay to me. Same with my embutido. I also got turon and it was not good. My niece wouldn't even touch the turon.

Come here for your Filipino food needs of soup, snacks, fish, frozen goods, vegetables, fruits, phone cards, and more. I love that they fry fish here, it's the best thing. Sometimes they also have hot foods you can buy like turon or banana cue. A big plus, they put the current exchange rate for pesos up so you're also able to change your money here!

Parking can be a bit tough at times because it's always packed! The restaurant has a lot of seating as well as a patio outside! They have a pretty decent size menu and a lot to choose from! When you walk in you wait in line and if you're ordering fish, you can pick out which one you want. After they write up your order, you pay and then they will call your number when it's ready! We normally order the tilapia fish, Camarones enchipotlados, the shrimp tempura plate, garlic bread and steamed rice. There hasn't been one time where I left hungry! They give you good portions and everything is so tasty. The fish is cooked to perfection, the shrimp and the chipotle sauce is to die for and the tempura shrimp are so yummy! Overall, this is a place where you could come over and over again and never get tired of it! If you're looking for great seafood in the LA area, definitely checkout Alaska Seafood, they will not disappoint!

The hostess asked if we would like to have some drinks on the sidewalk while we waited, which was great! I had a nice glass of orange wine and my gf had a Chardonnay, both delicious. The waitress that took care of us once we were seated was wonderful - I wish I had gotten her name! She explained the menu to us well and was generous with her drink pours. I dried their house wine once we were dining and it was also delicious. Now for the food! We started off the meal with one oyster each and the Sicilian crudo. It has been YEARS since I tried oysters and I remember not liking them, but I wanted to give it another shot. To my surprise, my oyster was fresh, delicious, and not fishy AT ALL. The crudo was incredible - the fish was fresh and the flavor combo of olive oil and capers was divine. For our main, we split the fried fish sandwich with fries. The fries were great, and the sandwich was crisp, not too oily, and paired perfectly with the toppings. For dessert, we had their key lime pie. Also something I don't usually enjoy, but it was fantastic as well. All in all we had a wonderful experience and look forward to returning and trying the other restaurants in the family!

We sat at the high top tables along the side of the wall across from the bar. Really cool and casual interior, doesn't feel pretentious whatsoever. Warm and friendly staff. I was worried when looking at their menu online that they only had wine since I was craving a cocktail, but alas they do have cocktails! They have martinis or margaritas. I went with a martini and they ask how you like it so I got mine with gin, an olive and a twist. It was made perfectly and it was so good! We ordered 8 oysters from the specials menu (they have it written inside on chalkboard), the plate of frites, smoked trout dip, and a tuna aguachile dish they had on their specials menu. It was a small table but we got everything to fit because they smartly have a holder to lift the tray above the table which helps. Everything looked beautiful when it came out! The oysters were great, salty but not overly briney. The smoked trout dip with the roe on top was delicious, the buttery ritz crackers pair with it so nicely. I would get that again for sure. The aguachile was good as well, it had quite the kick to it too. And honestly fries are fries, yes, but these fries were maybe some of the best ones I've ever had. Perfectly fried to a crisp and salty. I'll dream of those fries. And such a perfect portion of them for sharing with a friend. I loved our time here!

My only frustration is not with H Mart itself, but with Madang Plaza, as parking is difficult (it gets busy here), and the elevators are occasionally out of order, which is frustrating on large grocery haul days. The customer service here is a bit light compared to other H Marts, but like I said, this is my go to for major ramen inventory refill.
