Shrimp "WAHOO'S BOWL"
Yasmin D.

First time trying it here in this location and it has been years since I have eaten a Wahoo taco. Maybe it's the length of time since I have eaten their taco or maybe the menu is different, it was just an ok experience. This location was empty at around 6pm, more food deliveries than people eating there. I ordered the Wahoo bowl. Chose a protein, type of beans, over rice, pico de gallo, and citrus slaw. I had shirmp and black beans with avocado slices which was around $18. It was ok, shrimp were small but whole bowl is filling with the rice and beans. Husband ordered beef burrito which he said was ok too. Maybe I would give it a try again next time.

Good size burrito.

In the past; I usually order the fish tacos. But today, I got the Outer Reef Burrito with no rice and salsa. For the beans, you can choose either black or white beans. They were kind enough to let me sample the white beans. The ingredients were of good quality. However, the burrito just didn't work for me with the white beans. I guess I'm just use to pinto beans or refried beans. Nonetheless, service was very friendly and helpful.

I ordered a Maui bowl for$14.95 and was charged an additional $1.30 for carne Asad upgrade.... the problem isn't the money but what I was served . When questioned about the total price of $17.75, the cashier was clueless on explaining the upcharge...when I spoke with the manager, she stated that the menu price need to be updated

Potato taco, cheese enchilada with green sauce. White rice & beans

I love coming here. The vibe is chill and relaxed , food never misses , customer service always good.

It is always a very positive experience coming here. Saw some new item on the menu but need to stick with my fav the spicy chicken over brown rice no beans ( beans normally come with it ) and side of chips a guacamole. Always friendly service and Ben with a few in front of us the line moved quickly. The overall feel of this place is like beach meets skate and a very good vibe for the area. Plenty of parking and just a great place to visit .

First time trying this place and I was not disappointed! I had to go with fish the first time so I tried the fish burrito with chips and both kinds of salsa ! Staff were friendly and parking was fairly easy - I will make a return visit !

Our server was so sweet and welcoming. She walked us through the options and made recommendations based on our party. For a party of 3, we ordered one pound of shrimp, one pound of snow crab, and half pound of clams. The staff recommended mixing their sauces and it definitely hit the spot. The seafood was fresh and meaty and the garlicky, spicy sauce kicked the flavor up a notch. We also ordered a side of fries to share and the dip it came with was amazing as well. The price is very reasonable! It was definitely bang for your buck. They have happy hours that span a good chunk of the day so definitely take advantage of that. Will definitely be back to support a local small business.

The music was good and sports were available if that's your thing Cons: It took 30 minutes to receive our appetizers and at that time I was told they could not fulfill a portion of my order, I withdrew my order of rice and bang bang sauce. After 30 more minutes most of our order came out with the exception of the garlic bread. I was told that it takes a significant amount of time to make and asked if i wanted something else instead. I felt an hour for two burritos was excessive so declined adding anything else. Moments later my bread appeared. It took a full hour and some change to receive our order which I thought was unreasonable, especially since at this point we were the only patrons. Overall: Food was alright, reasonably priced, and portions were aligned with the price. However, I would recommend ordering ahead or anticipate a long wait time. When we went we were one of two patrons but it seemed they had a fair stream of take out orders. I frequent the area but do not live nearby and nothing caught my attention enough to return.

This is a So Cal staple when it comes to fresh seafood…read more There is almost always a long line, but not a long wait....that's when you know it's good. We ordered everything but the kitchen sink.....the shrimp ceviche, the shrimp cocktail, the fish and chips, the clam chowder, the garlic bread and to me the star of the show was the delicious popcorn shrimp deep fried to perfection....they had my Coke Zero on hand and that bumped it up to a 10 out of 10 for us. We will 100% be back!

So if smells like a tourist trap, barks like a tourist trap, and appears like a tourist trap. Then…read moreit's probably is! Look I would've given this place 3 stars, but the customer service and wait time was ridiculous. Hear me out, this is my experience from last Saturday. So first it can be challenging to find this place, since the pier has so many level to it. Look for the elevators. When you get there, for the first time, you see a main line, well for what? Then you see other lines, well for what? Then you see an oyster line, oh. In order to determine what each line is for, you have to do independent research. From whom? Well the employee, who do not show case any form of customer service. There were so many people lost and confused. To break it down, each "Order Here" has their own area of what can be ordered by the pound and/or cooked. So not all lines are equal. There is a crab line, seafood boil/pre-seasoned seafood, oyster, clams, I think I saw fish and fried platters, which was the longest. So after much deliberation, an employee managed to wrangle the customers to form a line. Although his mannerism seems like I'm just done with this place. One might consider ropes to further avoid these mundane confusions... I got Ana's seafood boil mix, $99. It came with a lobster, dungeoness crab, peeled shrimp, clams, sausage and potatoes. The employee told me about 10 mins. I'm like okaaaay, only 10? I walked to their souvenir shop, nothing crazy or must haves. Just cheap Chinese things with their name printed on. I return in 10 minutes. The guy doing prepping/expediting the pick order was in a frantic state. Older white male, white mustache. He was running around, mixing orders up, couldn't even tell what customers had what. The employee that wrangling folks came to help him collect himself. So 10 minutes wait turns to 15, 20, then 30 minutes. I had 2 other employees check up on my order, they said it's not ready. Okay. Finally about 35 minutes it's ready. He didn't even call out my order, I had to wave my ticket. The first rule of speed of service, never over sell the time. If it's gonnabe 30 mins plus, say 40 mins, gimme a bs reason, short handed, etc, I don't care! But why would you tell me it'll be 10 mins?! So finally got the food. Flavor was pretty good. Lobster, was okay. I wished the shrimp had the head on. Clams were big. Sausage was good. Potato seemed like the diced ones from a can, they were so small. The crab, however, is the driest. Yep, for a place that exclaims "Quality Seafood," it was kind've of a let down. They taste like the bottom batch of the crab at Las Vegas buffet. You know the batch that sits on the bottom, they don't ever rotate because the employees don't care. So it's just marinating in its own dry filth. The crab was so dry I could put that in an Advil bottle instead of cotton. So now if you ask me, would I come back? Maybe, just maybe. Anytime soon? Nah, not right now. Also with the mention of a tourist trap, it's no different than Seattle's Pike Place and surroundings.

The server who kept refilling our drinks recommended we order french fries to dip into the chicken paillard sauce since we raved about it. That was a good suggestion since we were sharing the dish. The steak was good and the prawns were just okay - maybe a little overcooked. The cheesecake brûlée stole the show!! Would definitely eat again in a heartbeat.

So just know traffic picks up later in the evening if you're planning a visit. Now let's get into what matters: The staff? Super attentive and kind. I love when servers check on you just enough without hovering. And the food came out HOT. Not warm. Not "it's been sitting." I'm talking steaming, fresh, straight-to-the-table heat -- which is exactly how a crab boil should hit. Portions were generous because I was overly stuffed and still had plenty left over for the next day (which honestly might be the best part). Nothing like reheating a seafood boil and running it back. We waited for 30 minutes to be seated even though plenty of tables were open, waited another 30 minutes to place an order, waited another 40 minutes until the food came out. At least the decor was "cute" pretty standard for a seafood boil and had TVs. We got 3 pounds of shrimp with the flavor mix and the spiciest level of heat in addition to some Cajun fries. The seafood was so bland and the fries were so dry with little to no seasoning.
