I have been wanting to try this place since I've heard about it opening. I stopped by around prime time lunch and the parking was a little tight. When I walked inside I was greeted and the employee was ready for me to order. The place was clean very cute & festive decorations. It wasn't busy but it seems they do make to order so I waited some time but not too long. It all smelt so good on my drive back to work. I ordered the large 2 protein bowl with teriyaki (white meat) and orange chicken with noodles. (no veggies) I even drove 15 mins or less and it was still hot and the flavor of the whole bowl was SO GOOD. A draw back for me for the price you don't get much meat. The orange chicken has light crispy batter could be a tad more crispy and the white meat was a little dry but the noodles mixed in and the teriyaki sauce on the side was perfect. I have to say it's a little pricey. However, My coworkers also ordered food and they didn't complain about the food. I will definitely be back to try other things. read more

It's my 2nd visit. I returned because my food on the 1st visit was hot and felt fresh. Today I had true concerns and was prepared to write a not so happy review however after sharing my concerns with the cashier who turned out to be the manager she really redeemed the restaurant. She immediately went into action to satisfy the customer. I truly appreciated her professionalism and her true concern for this lonely customer. When you visit the restaurant please ask for Fanlana ( missed spelled)...look for a lady with glasses and her hair pulled back into a bun. Management can make or break a restaurant and boy, she's surely a keeper. Solely because of her I will return. Note to the owner, you made a great choice by promoting Fanlana. Second is there any where on their website that states that they take online orders between the hours between 8-9? Now let's talk about arriving between hours of 8-8:30 PM, just to be kicked out. This is actually pretty bad. This is my second or third time trying this place. The rice is not even good which is an issue. The salmon is clearly pre-cooked and marked on the grill. (Actually seems like they are taking pre-cooked salmon and microwaving it and then marking it on the grill.) My eating buddy commented "it doesn't even taste like salmon". I mean it's bad. I want to give an extra star for cute holiday decorations, but I really want to tell people to go to much better places close by that are still convenient for takeout. EDIT: Added a star. This is a new spot for me and I've only been here one other time with family during the day for lunch. So the 2 experience ms I had were one was good and the other was not a good surprise. As the name implies, it's teriyaki flavor for me was chicken. Meat was well cooked and flavorful. Portions were good and ambiance is very casual. Service for the first visit was great. No complaints. Second visit for me was the not so good surprise. The new Torrance location only does take out/online orders only after 8pm. Is this true for other locations? I've never heard of a restaurant closing its dining room at 8pm on a weeknight. Not want to eat on the go, we went to the udon place next door. Was disappointed I didn't get my orange chicken that night and haven't been back since. I've had such great customer service here every time I walk in. Im greeted by cheerful employees and appreciate their pleasing attitude. Today (11/5 @ 2pm) was no exception. The woman wearing glasses with black hair in a bun was so friendly and always is. Very efficient with placing the order and accuracy. She was keeping the tables clean and tidy. One customer sat at a table she had just cleaned so it was a bit moist but she was so kind to go back and dry it completely for him. Thats attention to detail and I hope she gets recognized for that. With the bowl you get your choice of white or brown or fried rice or noodles for an extra charge. There are several proteins to select from too. Bowls come in junior, regular or large. The most popular proteins are teriyaki or spicy teriyaki. You can almost make the bowl a combo with a fountain drink and your choice of a chicken egg roll, edamame, cookie or brownie. Sauce was salty and heavy on the soy sauce. But what tops it off is the fact that a long, dark strand of hair was buried in the rice, covered in sauce and all. Who knows how it got there, but it's absolutely disgusting that there's a lack of sanitary food handling. I finally got to check out the new Teriyaki Madness in Torrance, and it did not disappoint! This restaurant is located in the same plaza as Marugame Udon, Board and Brew, and Pho Hue Oi. It's definitely nice to see another new spot open up here. At Teriyaki Madness, they offer a build-your-own bowl concept with three sizes: Junior (starting at $10.59), Regular ($11.99), and Large ($13.99). You can customize your bowl with options like Chicken Teriyaki, Chicken Breast Teriyaki, Spicy Chicken Teriyaki, Orange Chicken, Steak Teriyaki, Teriyaki Salmon, Chicken Katsu, or Spicy Tofu Teriyaki. For the base, you can choose from brown rice, white rice, fried rice, or yakisoba noodles (with a $1 upcharge for the noodles or fried rice). I went with a Junior Bowl with fried rice and chicken katsu, and it was totally worth it. The portion of rice was generous -- honestly enough for two meals! For the combo, you have a choice of edamame, cookie, marshmallow bar, or chicken egg roll, and you get a medium or large fountain drink. $3.79 for medium combo and $4.39 for large combo. With 15% tip, I paid little over $26. Their large steak teriyaki bowl is super large for $16. The bowl diameter is about 12", and it's like 2-3 inches deep. and the food was packed to the top. Probably like 3000 calories worth of food for $16. I was mind blown regarding the portion size. The fried rice is a must upgrade for $1 more, worth every penny. Everything tastes good. The bowl and the food give me the Panda Express vibe but better quality. This location is new, interior is also new and everything is clean and modern looking. There's seatings indoor and outdoor. Parking is plentiful but might get packed because it's in the same area where Marugame Udon is. The cashier lady, Philona (?), (sorry if I butchered the name), was very nice and hospitable. Very friendly and even informed me of how long the food was going to take because they grilled the steak to order. Her politeness does make me want to come back, she's very welcoming. After debating for weeks to try this place I finally did. Ordered a regular spicy chicken bowl. The chicken was surprisingly flavorful and spicy. Rice was hot and a little overcooked. The veggie mix was ok however slightly overcooked as well. Their system was down and only accepted cash which was frustrating. Fountain drinks are soothing for a sunny day, no complaints. Now we review the big boss...The Teriyaki Madness Spicy Chicken Bowl. the chicken was hot. I could feel the heat from my seat. But when I tasted it, the chicken wasn't too hot as I expected. But still, it was okay at best. I would say that the teriyaki didn't have anything new or special that differentiated it from the teriyaki I have tasted before. The sauce is tangy and sweet, very sticky texture and full of flavor. I will say though, the experiance of trying the bowls from here was very fun. I loved the feeling of having different expectations of how spicy the teriyaki chicken will be. It came with my choice of rice and vegetables and they can accommodate almost anything a customer wants. There was plenty of parking right outside in their parking lot. Opening weekend! We decided to check it out since it's the weekend and no one wants to cook. Came at 1pm on a Saturday and I was lucky to be able to walk right up to the counter to order. It's only their second day opening so I totally get that there are kinks and maybe some of the staff are still training. There are two cash registers but only one was open and there were about three people crowded around to help with questions. I had downloaded the app and signed up for rewards. I wanted to use the free second bowl with one bowl and two fountain drink reward. They're not at the stage of being able to scan the reward but with the help of a manager they were able to put in my phone number and just remove the second bowl payment. As I was ordering a line did start to form behind me but I was glad to see that everyone was really patient. We opted to order take out because it was pretty busy and packed Food came out fairly quickly for how busy they were. We ordered the salmon bowl with noodles ($1 extra for noodles) and the chicken teriyaki bowl with brown rice. Both were delicious and very flavorful. * RAW CHICKEN* I went to the establishment today and I was so excited to try as I've been waiting for this place to open. But I know for a fact, that I will never come back here and will never recommend anyone to come here. I want to add a disclaimer that the manager did try to do her best to fix the problem and she was really sweet . That is the only good thing I have to say in this review. It started with waiting almost 30 minutes to get two bowls and a side of noodles. I get that they are new and people are still learning, but they told me there was a mixup. I get my food and the chicken on the first bowl is completely burnt. On top of that they charged me to get broccoli only and it was barely any food in the second bowl for $14. This is when I asked for a refund and the manager was brought up and she was really sweet and offered to make the food again to fix the problem while also giving me my money back. I was optimistic and said thank you and went with that offer. We get home and eat the food in the broccoli is barely cooked. And more than anything., THE CHICKEN IS NOT COOKED COMPLETELY. I ordered a regular chicken teriyaki bowl on the app. It took about 15mins for my order to be ready for pick up. I'd say it was a pretty seamless process to order and pick up my food. There were some tables inside and several tables with umbrellas right outside the patio. I got my teriyaki bowl with only veggies and no rice (note: extra charge for only veggies). Ended up being $14.29. The first thing I noticed was that the chicken to veggie ratio was very apparent. There were soo many veggies...the bowl consisted of 3/4 veggies and 1/4 chicken. The veggies were overcooked/mushy and also drenched in a sweet sauce, with a bunch of the liquids pooling at the bottom of the bowl. I felt like I ordered a veggie bowl with a side of chicken teriyaki lol. I was eating mostly veggies with every bite but was somehow still left with excess at the end of my meal. I do have to say that the teriyaki chicken itself was very yummy. I liked the side of the teriyaki sauce it came with and I ate it with sriracha which made it even better. read more

Got the 2 proteins with veggies (no rice) and there were lots of veggies (more cabbage than broc) and tasted good and tender (not overcooked. Yay!) Since I did not get rice, the veggies had sauce which was a little bit on the soupy side but it was ok with to eat w/my meat. I didn't have to open up the sauce. I placed my order to pick up/to-go. I didn't have to wait as my order was ready when I arrived. The servers were friendly and helpful. They double checked my order before handing it to me. Will definitely come back and try more of the different items on the menu. There are plenty of places that serve teriyaki], but when you have a gluten allergy, the options are quite limited. In fact PF Chang's is only one other asian restaurant that offers Gluten free option. Even then, it's not the best Chinese food either. Just came to finally try this place and it was great! The cashier Kailee (I hope I spelled it right) was super friendly and helpful making sure I got my coupon offer applied properly and got all the right stuff in my order, despite the register making it hard on her. I got two mad spicy tofu bowls and they were delicious! I love the mad sauce I wish I had gotten a side of it to really drown the bowl. Rice was perfect and veggies were fresh and steamed just right. I preferred them to the ones you get at some of these other chain food places. Overall felt like a great deal. My only gripe was the soda from the fountain tasted a bit watered down so I'd skip that next time unless they fix it. Inside was clean and looks like a newer location. I like how the bowls come with veggies but sometimes the brown rice is off. On two occasions my brown rice was very mushy. Disappointing first experience, lots of better teriyaki options in the South Bay. We got the teriyaki bowl with rice and spicy teriyaki with yakisoba. First issue was with the veggies. Overcooked and drenched with sauce to the point the teriyaki bowl looked like soup. Should have been drained correctly but it looks like the staff just took it out and dumped it directly on the rice so eveythjng became mushy. The bowl just didn't look appetizing. Normally with teriyaki and veggies, it looks appetizing and fresh, but here the teriyaki chicken is forgettable and the veggies with whatever is cooked in makes it look very unappetizing. Spicy chicken had pretty good flavor although slightly tough. Same issues with the veggies. Tha yakisoba was overly salty for my liking. I know they're relatively new but it was a very disappointing experience. If you want teriyaki, go elsewhere for now until they can figure it out. I've been to many Chicken Teriyaki joints in my time, and this one is pretty average if not slightly below. I'm giving it 3 stars because there are operational issues and the food is mediocre. What immediately stands out is the menu. They mounted it 15 feet over the cash register, so you basically have to look up at the ceiling (think movie theatre front row seats). Its the worst possible place to have a menu. The cashiers must be looking inside your nose if you're reading the menu at that angle. The pricing is also inaccurate from the menu and what you are billed. Requesting, "All Broccoli", is $1.50 on the menu, but I was billed $2.00. I called this out and the cashier had to make an adjustment. So pay close attention to the charges as these billing errors can add up. The food was mediocre. The teriyaki sauce is basically sweet teriyaki mixed with soy sauce and its watery. Each additional pack is $0.75 cents if you want more. I was good with using just 1/4 of the pack which dripped to the bottom without staying on my chicken. The rice was brownish and looked like it was cooked in dirty water - but I think its maybe the type of grain they use. Not sure - but it's not white rice. Overall, I don't think I will return anytime soon. They are a new business and maybe trying to find their way. They need to immediately address two things, the menu pricing needs to be accurate, and the placement of the front main menu is horrible. read more
