Got the Da Original Steak Roll with garlic. It was well-seasoned, flavorful, and definitely something I'd order again. Just be sure to come early to beat the lunch rush, otherwise, you may be waiting a while for your order since the plate is made fresh.

Love burritos from Teppanyaki Farmer!!! Our ongoing search for tasty burtitos brought us here, since this is a favorite choice of my better half. Find TF in The Lanai, an above average food court on the mall level of Ala Moana Center near Macy's. We were warmly greeted at the counter by friendly staff who helped us with our order. Such a great way to start! Enjoyed our burritos - definitely a hana hou experience! Ample seating available in The Lanai. You may have a very brief wait for a table during prime dining times.

Located at Ala moana food court court on the side that has Macy's. Great services. Quick and efficient. Relaxing food court atmosphere Rib rib, ribeye with free taste! We order medium rare and medium both are cooked how they should. Good tasting steaks without the dipping sauces that are available

Best go-to lunch spot! I adore this unique combination of thinly sliced steak wrapped around julienned potatoes. The flavor combination is great and I always get this when I go to Ala Moana. There's a burst of flavor from the seasoning of the meat and the mild yet crunchy texture of the potatoes. They're also very fast when making it too :)

I've had lunch here a few times, but had yet to try their burritos, instead opting for the boneless Kalbi plate or bowl. My daughter and SIL loves getting them, so I decided to try one this time. I gotta admit, they're really packed (although it could use a bit more meat) and the taste is good. Although it's a bit pricey at $20, it's huge, so for me, will last at least 2 or 3 meals, lol. The combination of savory meat, together with soft rice and cheese, and the crunch from slightly sweet and sour pickled veggies, is a great taste. Everything is made to order, so it can take some time depending on how busy they are; typically it'll take around 10 minutes. If you don't mind the wait (and the price), Teppanyaki Farmer is a great dining option.

Teppanyaki Farmer is on my "safe" list meaning when I'm in doubt of what to eat, I can always rely on having a good meal here. The steak roll is my go-to and it never disappoints. The cost has gone up over the years, but so has everything else. I still believe they give a good amount of food and the quality is still there, despite what some other reviews state. The wait can be long when they are busy, but the workers are generally pleasant and helpful.

Not gonna lie, the smells lured me into to Teppenyaki Farmer and they delivered! Not only the smells but the line as well, it was one of the few stalls with a line of people for dinner. Line to order was quick, wait for food was moderate but they were churning and burning the orders. I got the Da Original Steak Roll plate and holy cannoli, it's a lot of food! I wasn't sure what to expect but really dug the hidden potatoes, just wish there was more options for sauce since it only comes with one. A little on the pricier side but it is meat and solid quality as well! Oh how the food court scene has evolved ever since my teen years of Bourbon St Chicken and Sbarro!

Absolutely filling and delicious!! The steak, the shredded potato, the garlic chips, and the sauce....perfect!! My go to place when I'm at Alamoana. There's a bit of a wait but worth it!! When I say this place has good steak plate lunches this is it!! So Ono!!!

    Boneless Kalbi Plate $17.90
    Kaile P.

Teppenyaki is located in Lanai food court at Ala Moana Shopping Center by Macy's! Their restaurant is tucked in the corner next to Brug Bakery. We stopped by over the weekend and got their boneless Kalbi plate for $17.90. The plate came with a generous serving of boneless kalbi on a bed of romaine lettuce, topped with an egg (your way) and garlic chips. The meat was perfectly seasoned, tender and juicy. The garlic chips are optional but they're also my favorite part! While the plate was super delicious, I think the best deal is their boneless kalbi bowl. For $4.50 less, you can get the same amount of meat, minus the lettuce and extra scoop of rice. Do I smell a deal? I sure do! The service is fast and friendly. We'll be back soon to try their steak. If you plan on dining in the food court, try to avoid lunch time on a weekend lol. Seating is plentiful, but hard to come by during rush hour.

So this place is in the food court by Macy's at Ala Mona. It was my first time trying this place it wasn't that busy but looked interesting. I ordered the steak roll it was one of the popular ones so I decided to try it. I got it with extra sauce which was bbq I didn't expect it to be an actual roll style with salad underneath. It was really good I think I could've ate it with no rice but I had some. I got to say I will definitely go back here again to try the other food they offer.

Scammers. I ordered ribeye bowl with onions and got some paper thin (maybe steak) meat.

Scammers. I ordered ribeye bowl with onions and got some paper thin (maybe steak) meat. When I went to ask what happened they said because I ordered it with onions that I get a shaved steak. Worst meat I ever ate and didn't finish! I told her to look at the menu...nothing is said about any shaved steak. Poor service and instead of making it right she said I'd have to pay full price. Horrible!!!!!

Got the rib eye bowl. It was not bad for 24.00 but medium rare will be medium by the time you eat it. The bottom layer continues to cook. I chose the garlic chip it was good but it got soft too. I wish they still have the rib eye steak burrito...

Despite handling over 400 reservations that evening, every staff member made us feel like we were their top priority. Special thanks to our server, Sasha, whose warmth, attentiveness, and genuine hospitality were extraordinary. She stayed cheerful and accommodating even in the busiest moments. Our chef, Joe, was equally remarkable. Knowing my 92-year-old mother needed her food chopped very small, he took great care to ensure everything was just right, even checking in to confirm the size of her chicken pieces. Joe also treated my husband and me to a special dish with his own homemade teriyaki sauce, explaining how he crafted it. His cooking skills, humor, and lively conversation made the evening feel personal and joyful. Watching him perform his signature fire and juggling tricks while chatting about travel had my mother giggling with delight! The food was, as always, perfectly seasoned and cooked to perfection. We enjoyed the poke (so fresh and flavorful!), soybeans with the perfect bite, shrimp, steaks, teriyaki chicken, lobster, scallops, and finished with their signature complimentary ice cream. We've been regulars at Tanaka for years, and it's clear why this restaurant continues to be one of Honolulu's treasures. My heartfelt thanks to the owner for maintaining such a consistently excellent establishment and to the entire team for their kindness, professionalism, and aloha spirit. One of the perks was fam tours where businesses would invite tour coordinators to experience their business with hopes of us recommending them. This first hand experience was instrumental in "selling" the business as coordinators encountered the business firsthand. We could provide concrete details to convince and persuade the tourists to patronize them. One of the businesses was Tanaka of Tokyo (TT), which boasts teppanyaki, a type of Japanese cuisine that cooks on a flat griddle. TT started in 1978 in Waikiki Shopping Plaza, an impressive run of 48 years and still going strong. They currently have 3 locations: West (Ala Moana), Central (Waikiki Shopping Plaza) and East (Outrigger Waikiki Paradise Hotel). They previously had locations at King's Village and Ilikai Hotel Yacht Harbor Tower. The main attraction of TT is having the chef cook in front of you. Food is cooked in front of you and served fresh. Entertainment is an additional attraction with teppanyaki. Out of town guests can really enjoy this unique experience. We celebrated a friend's birthday recently where TT East was the selected venue. They are located just next to Hookipa Terrace with nearby neighbors of California Pizza Kitchen and Jade Dynasty. Reservations were made in advance and our group of eight sat in a semi circle surrounding the grill. They have multiple courses to choose from where surf and turf is popular but I opted for the salmon course, which included green salad, miso soup, appetizer of grilled shrimp, sautéed veggies (onions, bell peppers and bean sprouts), Japanese pickles, rice and dessert. For a surcharge I got the garlic fried rice as I remembered this not only being entertaining but delicious. Our grill chef was Joe, a long time veteran of over 20 years where he also trains the new chefs of TT. He clearly engaged with us by also adding jokes in between. My salmon was executed well with a nice exterior crust, the meat was moist and seasoned perfectly. The only thing that didn't make the mark was the garlic fried rice. I recall it being more flavorful with also crispy garlic here and there for a more pungent taste. It wasn't what I previously remembered from multiple visits to TT. Service was also great. We were followed up periodically with staff removing excess plates, providing water and hot tea refills and even providing take out boxes to some of my friends who couldn't finish their meal. Staff were thoughtful in singing "Happy Birthday"and placed a candle in the ice cream that accompanied the course meal. Overall, a memorable dinner with friends celebrating a joyous evening. Lots of parking in Ala Moana Center but be careful as there are some areas where tickets are issued. Be sure to look for signs prior to walking away from your stall.

We ordered the shrimp, shishamo, TKG with mentaiko + extra green onion, nikusui with egg, and the whole ahi with the bone served with nori and rice. the whole ahi with the bone is HUGE. Each order of katsu came with choice of rice and miso soup. I saw the workers fry the katsu, so everything was fresh! While we were waiting for the food, they gave us the sesame seeds to grind for our Katsu sauce. All Katsu tasted sooooo good! I enjoyed the pork loin katsu sooooo much! Still thinking about it till this day haha. The tenderloin was the most tender I have ever had. It was my first time trying oyster katsu and it was both crispy from the Katsu but juicy from the oyster. Service was great as well.
