Got the Da Original Steak Roll with garlic. It was well-seasoned, flavorful, and definitely something I'd order again. Just be sure to come early to beat the lunch rush, otherwise, you may be waiting a while for your order since the plate is made fresh.

Love burritos from Teppanyaki Farmer!!! Our ongoing search for tasty burtitos brought us here, since this is a favorite choice of my better half. Find TF in The Lanai, an above average food court on the mall level of Ala Moana Center near Macy's. We were warmly greeted at the counter by friendly staff who helped us with our order. Such a great way to start! Enjoyed our burritos - definitely a hana hou experience! Ample seating available in The Lanai. You may have a very brief wait for a table during prime dining times.

Located at Ala moana food court court on the side that has Macy's. Great services. Quick and efficient. Relaxing food court atmosphere Rib rib, ribeye with free taste! We order medium rare and medium both are cooked how they should. Good tasting steaks without the dipping sauces that are available

Best go-to lunch spot! I adore this unique combination of thinly sliced steak wrapped around julienned potatoes. The flavor combination is great and I always get this when I go to Ala Moana. There's a burst of flavor from the seasoning of the meat and the mild yet crunchy texture of the potatoes. They're also very fast when making it too :)

I've had lunch here a few times, but had yet to try their burritos, instead opting for the boneless Kalbi plate or bowl. My daughter and SIL loves getting them, so I decided to try one this time. I gotta admit, they're really packed (although it could use a bit more meat) and the taste is good. Although it's a bit pricey at $20, it's huge, so for me, will last at least 2 or 3 meals, lol. The combination of savory meat, together with soft rice and cheese, and the crunch from slightly sweet and sour pickled veggies, is a great taste. Everything is made to order, so it can take some time depending on how busy they are; typically it'll take around 10 minutes. If you don't mind the wait (and the price), Teppanyaki Farmer is a great dining option.

Teppanyaki Farmer is on my "safe" list meaning when I'm in doubt of what to eat, I can always rely on having a good meal here. The steak roll is my go-to and it never disappoints. The cost has gone up over the years, but so has everything else. I still believe they give a good amount of food and the quality is still there, despite what some other reviews state. The wait can be long when they are busy, but the workers are generally pleasant and helpful.

Not gonna lie, the smells lured me into to Teppenyaki Farmer and they delivered! Not only the smells but the line as well, it was one of the few stalls with a line of people for dinner. Line to order was quick, wait for food was moderate but they were churning and burning the orders. I got the Da Original Steak Roll plate and holy cannoli, it's a lot of food! I wasn't sure what to expect but really dug the hidden potatoes, just wish there was more options for sauce since it only comes with one. A little on the pricier side but it is meat and solid quality as well! Oh how the food court scene has evolved ever since my teen years of Bourbon St Chicken and Sbarro!

Absolutely filling and delicious!! The steak, the shredded potato, the garlic chips, and the sauce....perfect!! My go to place when I'm at Alamoana. There's a bit of a wait but worth it!! When I say this place has good steak plate lunches this is it!! So Ono!!!

Boneless Kalbi Plate $17.90

Teppenyaki is located in Lanai food court at Ala Moana Shopping Center by Macy's! Their restaurant is tucked in the corner next to Brug Bakery. We stopped by over the weekend and got their boneless Kalbi plate for $17.90. The plate came with a generous serving of boneless kalbi on a bed of romaine lettuce, topped with an egg (your way) and garlic chips. The meat was perfectly seasoned, tender and juicy. The garlic chips are optional but they're also my favorite part! While the plate was super delicious, I think the best deal is their boneless kalbi bowl. For $4.50 less, you can get the same amount of meat, minus the lettuce and extra scoop of rice. Do I smell a deal? I sure do! The service is fast and friendly. We'll be back soon to try their steak. If you plan on dining in the food court, try to avoid lunch time on a weekend lol. Seating is plentiful, but hard to come by during rush hour.

So this place is in the food court by Macy's at Ala Mona. It was my first time trying this place it wasn't that busy but looked interesting. I ordered the steak roll it was one of the popular ones so I decided to try it. I got it with extra sauce which was bbq I didn't expect it to be an actual roll style with salad underneath. It was really good I think I could've ate it with no rice but I had some. I got to say I will definitely go back here again to try the other food they offer.

Got the rib eye bowl. It was not bad for 24.00 but medium rare will be medium by the time you eat it. The bottom layer continues to cook. I chose the garlic chip it was good but it got soft too. I wish they still have the rib eye steak burrito...

Scammers. I ordered ribeye bowl with onions and got some paper thin (maybe steak) meat.

Scammers. I ordered ribeye bowl with onions and got some paper thin (maybe steak) meat. When I went to ask what happened they said because I ordered it with onions that I get a shaved steak. Worst meat I ever ate and didn't finish! I told her to look at the menu...nothing is said about any shaved steak. Poor service and instead of making it right she said I'd have to pay full price. Horrible!!!!!

I still love this place! Their food is always fresh, healthyish, and delicious! Prices have really gone up (but where hasn't?), but I feel like this place is a step above a lot of other places. This food court area is nicer than the main one in Ala Moana, I feel like overall there's better choices.

Can have tepanyaki without eggs?

The tables have seating for eight. We were lucky and our party of four had the table all to ourselves. It helps that you come before the dinner crowd. The drink selection is large compared to the entree menu. And that makes sense, the grill masters need to be in and out but you can enjoy drinks as long as you want. (Within reason) All the meats were done right. And by right I mean yummy to my tummy. We shared filet mignon, teriyaki beef, chicken, and the soft beef tongue between us. The shrimp was overcooked and sometimes the veggies can be too because they sit on the grill for the show. Each meal comes with white rice. You can pay extra for the fried rice upgrade. There's the standard wafu salad and the meal ends with a scoop of ice cream. Overall four stars. You're going to spend $$$$. This isn't a weekly event but celebrating a special occasion or a family treat it's worth it. I'm not sure how parking works if you're not staying at the hotel. Enjoy M

Unfortunately, the rewards program experience left a very bad impression. We spent over $300 and were never informed about the rewards program until after we had already paid and received our to-go box. When I asked if our purchase could be applied to a newly created account, the request was denied. If a restaurant offers a rewards program, guests should be informed before paying so they have the opportunity to earn points on their visit. It feels unfair to advertise rewards but not make customers aware of them until it's too late to benefit. We enjoyed the meal itself, but the lack of transparency regarding the rewards program took away from an otherwise great experience. Management should do a better job of informing guests before checkout.

It took over the former spot of MBC (Monterey…read moreBay Canners, where I have many fond memories of eating dozens of oysters), that unfortunately, closed during the pandemic. It's a suitable replacement for the time, for families to enjoy sushi or a Teppanyaki dinner "show". The layout has the Teppanyaki dining tables in the front as you enter, rather than at the back of on the side. I suppose it gives an air of excitement as you walk in and watch the chefs put on their show, but the level of "noise" it creates is a bit overwhelming if you're trying to enjoy a nice dinner with a date, or family and friends Our extended family (10 people) went there for an early (5:30pm) dinner on Saturday, before Father's Day, and were seated at the side room behind the glass partitions. From there, we could hear everything happening at the Teppanyaki tables, as though we were right there; especially when they sang "Happy birthday" about 4 different times for the parties enjoying their dinner. Just as a "heads up", I'm not against it, but it was really difficult for us in the other room to actually have a normal conversation across the table while ago that was happening. The food is pretty decent, with a wide selection of sushi rolls and other standard items. I'm not a big sushi roll eater, I prefer great sashimi and an occasional nigiri, but the rolls were pretty good, with several unique offerings. They have Oyster shooters and Uni shooters that come as 2 per order. There were 3 of us (me, my daughter and SIL), so we asked if we could just order 3, rather than 4, but sadly, no. It was fine, and someone in the group ate the other one, but I wished they would price it as each; as most other restaurants that have this item do. The sashimi was average, but it's more of a family dining spot, rather than a sushi bar. The service was good, and everyone enjoyed the food and fellowship. I may be tempted to come to try the Teppanyaki in the future, especially if I'm bringing my granddaughter for the show.

We started with teppanyaki and it reminded me why Japanese cuisine is my favorite in the world. The quality of the ingredients speaks for itself. Beautifully marbled wagyu, perfectly cooked vegetables, exceptional rice and absolutely get the garlic rice upgrade. Every bite felt intentional. Traveling with a two and four year-old can change the way you judge a restaurant and this is one of the most family friendly fine dining experiences I've had. They don't just tolerate children, they genuinely welcome them. The coloring books, kid sized utensils, thoughtful plates and little details made our kids feel included instead of like an inconvenience. We came back for the hand roll set and somehow it was just as memorable. From the amuse bouche through dessert, it felt like a carefully paced tasting menu. Every course had purpose and the sashimi and hand rolls were some of the freshest we had anywhere in Hawaii. Even the kids couldn't get enough of the udon. Before flying home, we made one last stop for shabu shabu and sukiyaki with my parents. Again, perfectly portioned, beautifully presented and deeply satisfying. It was the perfect way to end the trip. What impressed me most wasn't just one spectacular meal, it was the consistency. Three different experiences, three different styles of dining and every visit delivered the same level of craftsmanship and care. There are restaurants that chase trends and there are restaurants that dedicate themselves to doing things the right way year after year. Restaurant Suntory feels like the latter. It's the kind of place that reminds you why Japanese cuisine has earned its reputation for precision, restraint and respect for ingredients. About 15 minutes later our order was ready, and we Ubered back to our hotel, which only took a few minutes. When we opened everything up, the portion felt a bit small for the price. The tonkatsu itself was tender, but for us it didn't quite live up to all the hype. I did appreciate that you can choose clam soup instead of the traditional miso soup, and there are different rice options as well, which is a nice touch.
