I've been here way too much. I'm familiar with this neighborhood way too much. I'm right back at it, in the East Bay again today. I've seen this a lot. I'm here to check-it-out, Tequila Grill in Dublin. When I got here it was packed. There's a lot of big Television screens up, perfect to catch a Sports game. And I'm having me a Grilled Salmon with rice and vegetable medley, for Dinner Tonight. It looks spectacular. The Salmon was seasoned very well, Grilled to perfection, moist, the Crust on it was incredible, and I knew it was a good peice of Salmon from the Grilled marks. I didn't know what they did to the rice, but the rice was the star of the Dish, believe it or not, it was out of this world, and done very differently than all the others I had out there so far. The Roasted Squash, was phenomenal. The only thing was, it was kinda slow getting everything, but understandable for a Night like Tonight's. I was thinking this was going to be a 3.9-4.4 stars, I want to give this a 4.4 stars, on a good day it could be a 4.4 stars, but I give this 4.3/4.4 stars out of 5 stars. And the modern interpretation of the Latin American cuisine, felt authentic. read more

First time at this location on a Friday eve. It was packed! We were a party of 2 with no reservation and waited about 20 minutes. We were happy to try drinks at the bar at the new Tequila Bar And Grill. The interior was modern and spacious. The staff was extremely welcoming and thoroughly attentive. The well curated drinks did not disappoint! We enjoyed the Tamarind and Cadillac Margaritas as well as a Michelada. Ernesto was our server and he was AWESOMESAUCE! If you feel indecisive, he is your guy! He recommended garlic calamari, guava margarita & seafood enchiladas. I still couldn't decide red or green so he suggested try 1 of each. Red is THE ONE! GREAT atmosphere, wish they stayed open a little later. They lock the doors on time so if you are inside you have to wait for them to unlock so you can exit. All male staff as well, all very attentive. The server warned about the tamal plate being really hot, but didn't mention that the oyster plate and oyster shells were crazy hot too and I burned my fingers on both... I ordered the seafood enchiladas, and they were very good. I also had a passion fruit margarita, which was delicious. For my daughter, I ordered two steak tacos, but unfortunately the steak was overcooked. I informed our waiter, Jaqueline, and she said they would do better next time if I had mentioned it sooner. However, she was not very attentive and barely came around to check on us or ask how everything was tasting. I don't recall her checking in at all. This review is for drinks and chips and salsa only as we stopped in on the way to a movie. Alejandro at the bar was amazing and loved the chips and salsa ( chips were warm when we got them) Loved that they have "Mexican Coke" as they called it and super cool looking ice cubes for the drink. On a positive note my cadillac margarita was excellent, so much so we had two. This was another place I once again tried a super burrito, something I use to always order. Unfortunately theirs was not good. The menu said "pastor adobo" so I asked does it have pineapple in it which al pastor does and she said no or just a little or something that made me think it would be OK. It was not, very odd having pineapple in a super burrito with all the fixings like sour cream and quac. I do not recommend this meat in a burrito. The couple with us had chile relleno, tamal and enchiladas they looked excellent so when I go to get a margarita, I may try one of these. The quacamole appetizer was a bit silly looking. It reminded me of a Mexican restaurant we went to in Greece with a small salsa cup size of chips. read more

Can't wait to come again. We came close to closing, but the staff was still friendly and provided great service. I had two margaritas, the blood orange and passionfruit. The blood orange tasted more like grapefruit, so I wasn't a big fan. The oysters were fresh. We loved the Ahi Tostadas and are coming back for these above everything else. The description on the menu was lacking, but the tostada was not. Hubby ordered the steak fajitas, the rice and beans were very tasty. I had the Mariscadas, I could drink the sauce. The hostesses were nice, I just sat at the bar for a quick lunch. The bartender was polite and quick. I tried the tacos tradicianales from the Cinco De Mayo specials. I liked that they were grilled chopped chicken and not shredded. I asked what toppings came on it. He said cilantro and pico de gallo. I got plenty of cilantro and tons of red onion. Not pico. No big deal, just pulled most of the onion off. The chicken was still tender and the seasoning was good, but zero salt that I could taste, and it wasn't anywhere on the counter. The tortillas were on point though. The chips and salsa are great. Great music and not too loud. I will have to come back for an actual meal to give it a fair review. read more

Ambience is upbeat, nothing too 'serious' although I wouldn't consider it a family restaurant..... We ate at both the bar & restaurant on separate visits & the bartender is well versed in tequilas & we tried a few 'sipping' tequilas. Separately, the waiter had good food recommendations on the restaurant side . Place is still new, and we came on Valentine's Day and we were able to be seated quickly. I have now been here 4 times and every time there has been an issue with something. Let's start with the phone number and if you called the number it takes you to the San Leandro location, whereas the Dublin location says the phone number is not valid. The staff is not friendly and get even less so when there is an issue. 3 of the four times there was an issue with even finding our reservation. Case in lint this last time. We called on Saturday to make a reservation for Sunday for nine people to watch the last World Cup game. The Dublin phone number again did not work so we have connected to San Leandro. The woman who picked up the phone send that brother location and she will call this cell phone and tell him about our reservation. Not really trusting that, we drove to the restaurant itself and spoke to the person at the reception who wrote down a reservation and we specifically requested a high top table for nine people next to the bar in front of the TV. All was written down in front of our faces. We show up the next day and the reservation has none of that information. Not only that, none of the tables in the restaurant are set up for us. They shoved us into a smaller area that was not anywhere near the TV and told us that when one of the high tops become available they will just move us so that we had to get up in the middle move all of our stuff to another table with all of our drinks and menus and chips and salsas that were already on the table. Then we proceeded to ask for three separate checks and were told "no". No explanation no apologies. No nothing. She just said "no". When we asked why she said we're too busy to be splitting checks so we said if three separate parties came and set at the table what would you do and she said I would split the check. So we asked why don't you just treat that as such, and she said no, and walked away. Food took forever to come and it came out lukewarm. A bunch of ingredients were missing from one order. One was wrong. I ordered a simple chips and guacamole of all the food that came that came out mine came out last. In previous occasions we had the same issues with food coming out wrong. One occasion they brought the food out massively wrong 3 times. Was asked what's going on? They said we have to put your order back in line and you have to wait until the kitchen can make it. So we asked since we ordered the food like an hour ago and you messed it up repeatedly so shouldn't we be at the top of the line at this point? Never ever going here again. read more
